VizRef Lite for Positive User Reviews

Great app with lots of potentialI’ve started using this app and it’s perfect for the artist on the go. I’m pretty sure it’s made by the same group that created PureRef, but I could be wrong on that. The app has a great feature that allows you to organize different categories of images. And within each of these has tools that are pretty intuitive. It handles images and gifs very well. And gifs play continuously in the app. My only complaint is that the copy link option doesn’t work for other apps on my phone. Pinterest and instagram as examples, or at least I don’t think it does. However, the copy link option brings in high res quality images from Google images, so I can’t complain to much. The app is still in early development and I’m hoping that this could be implemented in the future. For about $2 the app is well worth the price..Version: 1.1

This is super intuitiveOne of my biggest frustrations with apps are bad ux that you need to look up how to do things. Everything in this app that you think should work a certain way does. You hit the ground running with this app. It's easy, it's got great features, and if you draw on the iPad or work in the industry like me it's an amazing app to have and totally worth the low price. Can't recommend it enough..Version: 1.1

Excellent image reference app!Ticks all the boxes for me. No complaints at all. If you have used PureRef, this app will meet all expectations..Version: 1.1.6

Highly HIGHLY recommendedSo great all the photos when batch importing don’t lay on each other, strange you have to flip the hd switch to have images imported in HD happy it’s there just strangers it’s not just on. It does works, strangely “HD” photos I get from bing or google still show up pixelated but that could be the photo itself and not the app, the app does brighten the images imported, when compare from In app and the photos app. Found rotating accidentally should be a icon like the flip or b/w filter and then rotate from there, also I would like to be able to rotate individual images and not just the whole board, aside from that I do like the intuitive rotating gesture just needs a better spot or icon, sadly can’t do multiple select, love the new eye icon being apart to move around the board without any of the ui, still solid fluid stable app just like before still highly recommend.Version: 1.1.2

My only requestsI want to have access to the same assortments on both my iPad and iPhone (basically syncing) I can see a way to do this by introducing an accounts function so the data would be connected. Maybe there can be a button to see your other device’s galleries and access them that way, I don’t know! Also want to be able to scribble on photos!.Version: 1.1.7

Sync would be niceUse app on both iphone and ipad. Would be nice if they synced. But more than usable as it is..Version: 1.1.7

Able to upload to cloud?Am I able to upload my folders or images to be able to move them to my iPad VizRef app from my phone vizref app? I just got this it’s a great app.Version: 1.1.5

Amazing reference board app for artists! This is everything I’ve ever wanted in a reference board app! You can collect and organize all your images with customizable art boards and there’s even animated gif support! I’ve been using this app to help create my illustrations and it’s been an incredible tool. VizRef works great alongside Procreate and other drawing programs! I highly recommend it for art hobbyists, students, and industry professionals!.Version: 1.0

Updated Review - Still Love It!I’ve used VizRef for a while now, and I had written favorably as well the last time I reviewed this app. I want to add an additional review after the current update. The iPad version of VizRef is CONSTANTLY open in split view alongside Procreate when I work. It’s almost become an extension of Procreate for me. The iPhone version is also a great option when I want a separate reference screen. The app is simple to use and very effective at what it’s built to do. I use this app to help keep my comics more consistent by collecting references and my previous drawings of characters or scenes all in one place. The in-app greyscale filter is invaluable. Also love that I can crop images within the app, and pause GIFs to look at specific frames. Another nice touch is that the app background more or less matches the background in Procreate. This adds to the feeling that the apps are part of each other, and keeps it from feeling distracting or visually busy. The last update just made this already excellent app even better by adding some ways to export and save boards, which means I now have a way to backup all of my compiled references. This is WONDERFUL and about the only feature I have been missing. Thank you for creating such an excellent tool for artists! 😃👏👏👏.Version: 1.1.6

Use this app on all my art projectsRecently discovered and quickly became my favourite tool to use when drawing! Latest update brings autopack to iPhone and multi select tool also! HD mode is great too for referencing high res images! Keep up the great work! Thanks for giving the iPhone app an update!.Version: 1.1.2

Excellent app but missing one feature!I adore this app for helping me easily keep all my references in one place to help with my art. It’s very easy to use and has a simple UI design. The only complaint I have with this app is I wish it had some sort of account system that syncs with the iPad version. I tend to find a lot of my references on my phone most of the time rather than my iPad. It would just be a lot easier if it all synced. Just a small complaint but a feature that I think would make this app perfect. Other than that this is a must have for any creative out there!.Version: 1.1.2

GreatReally simple app that gets the job done perfectly. Building a reference board is very easy and quick. All very intuitive. Only thing is I wish is that boards synced between the iPad and iPhone..Version: 1.1.5

Finally!!!For years artists have been looking for a tool like this on mobile! The developer is a professional concept artist and listens to feedback from artists to implement new features. This tool is off to a great start and will aid both digital and traditional artists..Version: 1.0

Amazing but missing somethingI use this app extensively on iPad and iPhone. it’s the closest thing to pure ref which is the PC counterpart. I do have one minor complaint: The app seems to be missing a multi select feature. there doesn’t seem to be a way to move around groups of images at a time. I have searched around and cannot find a solution That really slows down my creative process, as I needed to be able to manipulate images with similar concepts or elements. But if this feature were to be added in a future update I will gladly add the last star to this review.Version: 1.1.7

GOAT app for drawingI use this app for drawing goats, it’s great to have a bunch of goat photos to refer to while making highly detailed goat drawings. You can flip, rotate and resize the goat photos and even lock the canvas to prevent accidentally moving your lovingly placed photos of goats. You can have different boards for different types of goats which is handy. It even saves your board automatically so if you accidentally close it you don’t have to replace all of the lost goat photos. 5/5 goats highly recommended!.Version: 1.1.7
