✓ Broken notificationsLove this app but I have stopped receiving notifications when my friends record new beans or to listen to cappuccinos in the morning.Version: 1.9.2
✓ Premium made it trashThis app used to be great but now they introduced a premium version and instead of ADDING things to the premium they just REMOVED features you already had and were using. You can’t access old messages anymore and the worst offense is you can’t unlock messages same day. My friend that lives in a different state and I would use this every day to catch up in real time but now with this new feature we’d be listening a day behind. No more back and forth messages. Why would I pay money for something I can do on voice notes for free? Will be removing app and using voice notes until a similar app is found..Version: 1.9.6
✓ Needs So Many FeaturesI love the concept of the app, but it is lacking in a lot of basic features. Notification customization would be great; I don't need a notif every time someone likes a bean, but I still want them for other things like replies. Choosing the music (or no music even) would be great too. It kind of ruins the mood when there's upbeat jazz in the background of a serious topic.Version: 1.7.16
✓ It’s goodI would love if there was an option to save all the audios that you make, and not have to send them to people in order to save them. I also think the audios should be saved permanently if we want them to, without them disappearing. None of my friends have the app yet but I would love to have the option of saving these just for me..Version: 1.4.3
✓ I’m a long time user but can’t justify premiumI have been using cappuccino with my long distance friends for a few years now, and it’s great! Recently they created a premium version which I was going to pay because I want to support the app, however I saw the prices and can’t justify it. $5/week is $260/year and $10/week is $120/year. That’s more than I pay for apps with several tools and features. And instead of adding valuable features besides prompts (my friends and I make our own for free) they put things we already use behind a paywall. I don’t like the feeling of being forced into premium by taking away things we’re used to. I’m currently looking for another app or going back to Snapchat, but will use the free version for a little longer. Edit: If Cappuccino had plans to release new, actually premium features, I would be down to support. As of now, being able to access prompts and listen to week old audio is basic and I’d pay $35-$60/year just to show support because I do enjoy the app, but not because premium is worth it. It seems like it would be a better move to pivot your marketing and present actual premium features to a paying audience. I’ll email y’all for sure!.Version: 1.9.7
✓ Not badThe app is very good in general but I wish they would combust all the videos into one square without the need to school and we do a new topic it make a new square. I also hope they add at pause and forward and rewind without making it start over But the app works very well and doesn’t time you out and theirs no ads :).Version: 1.6.0
✓ I still love it but the paywall is toughI will continue using it for now because it’s a great way for me and my long distance friend groups to keep up. I never minded the daily drop; we have a group chat for more urgent matters. However paying for history is really unfortunate because listening to memories is one of the best features. One of my friends just came back from vacation to find out she can’t listen to any of our past beans. I understand paying for everything else but give us our history back. Plus, I would recommend revisiting your pay structure. $5 a week or $10 a month is a lot of money for an app that has pretty much one purpose that could be swapped with voice messages in a group chat. ✓ Not usefulDownloaded this app as i thought it would be a good way to send long messages to my long distance friends. 3 minutes is rather short to advertise yourself as a podcast for your friends app. There isn’t much use to this app if you have messenger or WhatsApp..Version: 1.8.2
✓ Not Enough Time!!I really do love this app, my ONLY complaint is not being able to take longer recordings. Snapchat has a 10 minute limit, so it makes more sense to just send an audio message there or through more popular apps like messenger and whatsapp. I feel like if there was a 1 hour limit (true to podcast standards) people would have the option to tell longer stories. I had to send 10 beans just to tell 1 story from start to finish, and it definitely made me and my friends want to find an alternative. This app is so cute and user friendly, the only downfall in my opinion is the 3 minute limit..Version: 1.8.8
✓ Cool app but the new update is annoyingThis app is so unique and I really love recording them with my friends! I've been enjoying it for a few weeks now but the most recent update completely changed the look of it. I really don't like how the beans are separated into individual ones and you have to swipe through to listen to each one. It's overwhelming and inconvenient, since I can't tell which ones I've listened to already. I wish there was a date and timestamp for each one so I can know which ones are another day and the estimate length of the cappuccino today. I also wish there was a rewind option just to go a few seconds back..Version: 1.3.0
✓ Cute but needs workI wish this was more of a podcast in the true sense of the word. Like if we could be online together and record a bean together that would be so cute. Like responding to a prompt together or just talk. I also wish we could save the beans. I don’t want to lose them. Like if we could choose which we want to keep in an archive or something that would be really helpful. Another thing would be I wish i could change the music or get rid of it. Sometimes it doesn’t really match what we’re talking about or feeling. It’s a cute app but I wish it was more customizable to what we want it to be for..Version: 1.4.1
✓ Lost its sparkI mean it was cool at first, but the paywalls kinda take away from the whole experience from me. I would much rather have a bunch of ads than be told I can’t even listen to my own audio unless I buy a premium version??? Or that I can’t revisit my memories until I pay a monthly subscription???? It just takes a lot of fun out of it for me when everything I used to do for free now has a paywall up. I’d definitely still use to app if it had ads instead of a subscription based method but it’s not really something I care enough to pay for at the end of the day. ✓ There is potentialThis app would be so much fun if the layout wasn’t so complicated. I feel like there are too many options for no reason. Everytime it’s a challenge to find where to record, and then it appears double in the group. The time restriction also feels weird-if I record someting during the day my friends can’t listen to it until the next day, and then I have to wait another day to listen to their replies..Version: 1.4.2
✓ Not enough drafting for beansI really like the app so far but when I make a bean and try to send with no service/wifi obviously I’ll have to wait until I get service but the app holds the state that it was in when there was no service. This is a problem bc if I exit the app then I’ll lose the content I made and have to redo it. If there was a drafts page that saved the content I already made and just saved it on the phone until I could get a connection this would provide a much easier and more transparent way to send stuff to friends. This specific scenario has happened a couple times already having downloaded it 3 days ago..Version: 1.8.9

✓ Cappuccino VibrationsIs there a way to turn off the vibrations when we receive cappuccinos? I understand the concept that it’s trying to mimic the sound and feeling of grinding beans and making coffee but it’s extremely unsettling. The sound and vibrations last way too long. I can’t seem to find the settings to allow me to disable this feature. I don’t want to experience it everyday! It honestly makes me dread opening up the app. I close it to stop the vibrations but it doesn’t stop when I open it back up. I’m enjoying the concept so far to stay connected with my friends, but I wish I could respond to their beans with comments as well instead of only replying with recorded beans..Version: 1.7.26

Been using the app for almost 300 days with my best friend and we really loved it but now everything is restricted and you have to pay premium in order to listen to older podcasts and more. The current layout is very confusing when you have to scroll all the way to the end every time a new “bean” is added. The unlocking new “beans” is awkward too. ✓ Should’ve left it as isThis was a great app before they went and made all these changes that were unnecessary… It’s a shame because we were really enjoying using it amongst our group of 5 friends, plus other separate groups. Hopefully they’ll continue to make changes to return the app to a wonderful way but if not we will no longer use it as there’s many sources out there where you can share audio messages.
