✓ In principle a good game but money grabbing developers!Here’s how it goes: Have fun in the first step. Wait about 45mins before been allowed to continue (unless you pay) after the wait start to play for about 5 mins and then get stuck with no in game “money” and no add based way to get it. The only way to continue past this point is to pay with your real hard earned cash. I strongly recommend not wasting your time unless you want to pay a S LOAD of real cash just to play..Version: 2.0.4
✓ Ridiculous money grabDo not waste your time with this game, if you can even call it that. It’s more of a spend half an hour reading and picking options but every 5 options you have to wait an hour unless you pay to skip through the hour. And DONT you dare make a mistake, otherwise we will charge you £2 to go back a step!! I mean come on. How ridiculously obvious can you make it that your game is a blatant money grabbing attempt. ✓ PointlessThis game is just a money making scheme for the creators. Every 5 clicks there’s an advert (that’s 5 clicks of reading for every 1 click of decision making), any major decision usually is followed up by an hour long wait (unless you pay or watch adverts to skip it). If you run out of money you either have to start again or pay real money to buy in-game currency. It’s just a very bad game, I’ve been playing for 2 days and made no progress. ✓ If EA was an App Store game this would be it.The game is incredibly hard to play for free as cost cutting and long wait times are extremely annoying. However to bypass this you have to either buy ingame money at an extremely high price, or alternatively subscribe to a game that costs similarly to a tv subscription service in fee costs, which is rediculous when you realise it is a basic game that is not that fun to play. ✓ Unplayable.I have tried on 4 different occasions and I can’t even advance the story before I run out of money, no matter HOW MUCH I cheap out the aspects of the game. And worse is that there’s no alternative once you don’t have enough money to advance the game except to spend your real, hard earned money. I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed an app before but I had to with this… If this was fairly priced and fewer ads I would absolutely be hooked on this game. Shame it’s only been made to siphon cash out of people. Y’all have an excellent idea here and I know that you’d make far more from this app if you listened to your reviews. Within five minutes of playing this I was out of $$ and found myself watching the five ads. Without paying exorbitant actual money I couldn’t progress in the game. Game play is very poor, few options and you cannot return once you select an option. This means if you don’t have the money to buy that option but are curious what that option is, then you simply have the restart over. ✓ Paywall after paywallGreat concept and it was fun for a minute. Unfortunately, I never made it even to the release of my company. You start out with $200k in-game money and have to decide how much to use on what. You can apply for in-game credit cards to give you access to more funds but you have to watch HOURS worth of adds to get them, and I’m not saying that figuratively. The other option is to spend your actual cash from your real life debit/credit card to have access to more in-game funds. Deleted with only about 30 mins play time. ✓ Pay to play - complete cash grabWhen you first load into the game, it looks better than most. Seems polished. But you can seriously end up with no cash during the tutorial. You get forced to answer questions, not knowing how many there are so you spend more money early on than needed. Why? Either wait the 1 hour (or longer) to then continue through ads and more pay walls, or pay the ridiculous amount they charge to practically do NOTHING. I’d expect a game to try and pull a player in and make the game intriguing and cool but its so boring and fills me with rage each ad. ✓ HorribleI saw the ad just like everyone else and thought this would be an interesting and fun game where you can try to build a business from scratch. But it’s far from that, once you get into the game there’s so much reading to get a storyline in. It’s paragraph after paragraph, you never really get to make free decisions either, some npc tells you that you need to make company choices and gives you THREE options that change the entire company, and if you choose the “wrong” one he’ll tell you not to make the mistake again. On top of that my company didn’t even make barley any money at all since I started so once you run out of money after they force you spend it all on office buildings, logos, employees, you either have to wait hours for your employees to complete tasks or you have to end up buying money or a subscription which is $5 dollars a WEEK which includes not having to wait for tasks and the full storyline, so yeah you don’t even get to know the full storyline, the people who developed this game clearly didn’t care about the consumer playing, my guess is they made the game a horrible storyline for every player to go through so that the game is basically the same for everyone and they don’t have to worry about coding the game to let players make moves freely. ✓ MisledI feel I was misled into downloading this game and ultimately purchasing the subscription. I downloaded it from an add on Facebook that essentially made it look like this was a multilayered game where you start at the bottom and can if you make the right choices, ultimately build an empire. The actual add on Facebook was of the player deciding on what type of sports team to purchase. That is no where in this game. I played through once without a subscription, and after my soft launch the game basically ended. I decided to subscribe because it promised that it would include the entire storyline. I then played through again, and except for a few questions I didn’t have to answer the first time and a few extra decisions the game ended at exactly the same place. I feel like I was bait and switched into purchasing a subscription and plan on contacting the company for a refund. ✓ Dull clicking simulator that begs for your moneyI don’t have an issue spending money on games, but this game is monetized in the worst way possible. From the moment you start, all you do is pick between 3 options at a time, with the best option for you costing the most ingame currency, . Run out of the in game currency? Spend real money, or restart, while this time, being forced to pick the worst options in order to spend the least ingame currency. This is basically the entire game. And every 3 or 4 dialogues, you’ll be shown a screen asking you to either wait an hour, or pay $5 a week to continue playing. Although, it can easily be bypassed by changing your phone’s date. And what’s funny is that the game is not even complete yet. Once you’ve done nothing but tapping options that affect you the worst in each situation, you’re greeted by a message saying that you’ve completed chapter one, and the rest are “coming soon”. ✓ Honest reviewWhen i first started the game it seemed a really fun, simple game. It looks really nice, and i really liked the concept of it. I mostly bought the cheapest options because you are only given 200k at the start, only i ran out of money and therefore couldn’t buy the rest of the things. ✓ My Hopes were high, reality disappointingThis game looked to be amazing. After playing a similar game coffee inc I hoped this would be something similar. What I immediately found out is that they made this game almost impossible to even start playing without spending money. The next issue is every time you restart the game, you have to sit through all the in game “waits” which are an hour long! ✓ Absolutely pathetic excuse for a gameThis is the first and only review I’ve written. This game is created by scum that are only interested in your money. I have no issues with buying games or spending money on in game purchases whatsoever. I actually think that more games should cost money due to the amount of work put in some of them. But this game is a joke. Not even 5 minutes into the game you begin a task where you team is “building something” and it is a 45 minute wait time so it automatically takes you to a screen to show you the options to purchase the premium version for either 5 dollars a week or 40 dollars a year (obviously trying to get you to spend 40). Every single building task or waiting task is 10 minutes to an hour, and they are very frequent. Oh what’s that? You accidentally clicked the wrong selection? Game over, start from the beginning, because the selection goes through as soon as it’s touched. I decided to spend 5 dollars just to see how much farther it would take me. I’m sure their churn is high because of this. For example, I hired the best designer available then was required to pay at least $7000 to design an in-house logo that could be made in Word. $30k in web hosting pre-launch, when every startup can easily get $100k plus in hosting credits from AWS, Google, and Azure. IMO they should let the user get further into the game where they are invested in their startup versus paywalls very few minutes. No mental investment in my startups growth = churn within 30 minutes. Other than that, there is no need to even spend any money on any upgrades or features. When you reach the investment bit, best case is to go with the one which is most offering. The “10-30% shares” or “return investment within x years” doesn’t do anything. They are like written there to scare you when taking the decision. But be rest assured, nothing will happen. After you get your millions of money someone invested on your start up, then click the icon on the very far right top corner, and start to upgrade your servers, computer,staff, offices and etc. And there we go. ✓ Text-Based CapitalismI’m all for text-based games. I payed for Bitlife and Life Simulator because I thought they deserved it. I’d pay for this too, but it’s $5 a *week* or $40 a year, meanwhile I could get games on Steam or even some games on Switch for cheaper. Meanwhile, this game takes five minutes to play through with premium because the wait times are gone. Without premium, you run out of money if you make *any* decent choices and have to restart, which means more wait times. Check the company’s other games. The screenshots advertising them are almost exactly the same and I have no doubt the games are too. This company specializes in grabbing peoples’ attention, taking their money, and moving on to the next game. Scum. People who paid the $40 deserve a refund. The $5 people deserve a refund. ✓ Very below average gameThis game takes far to long to work through plus the constant need for more in game money means you need to buy in app purchases every 5 mins. The subscription is far too expensive (£4.99) weekly and without it makes the game extremely difficult and annoying. ✓ UnplayableThe idea of the game seemed super up my alley in terms of strategy games. Unfortunately the second I downloaded the game I was presented with an ad and asked to purchase the premium version of the game. And every 5 minutes of game time, you’re sticking waiting an hour for your “team” to Finish completing a task, which then hits you with another paywall. They also priced everything so perfectly that you will run out of money before you’re done buying things, and you are forced to either watch more ads, or pay real life money on a game that will just restart. ✓ Ridiculously aggressive monetisationI am in disbelief that I fall for this! It’s like a teleshopping scam constantly asking you to pay for stuff. I love the idea and I don’t mind that it’s all text based. I want a premium experience with my games, so I paid for the £5 a week subscription. Within minutes, my startup ran out of cash and I was kindly presented with various options to buy more cash with real money, with a range going from £5 to £85. Ahahahahaha! I want to PLAY the founder of a start-up investing real money into it, not actually do that with my own finances. I would have expected the game to allow me to seek some investment at that point, but no, the only option was to buy money with money. I have to say this is extremely aggressive. Everything about it really. The fact that they monetise with a subscription (and an outrageously expensive one), when there is nothing about this game to suggest that this is an ongoing service is silly. This is a text based sim, which a couple of students could write by themselves very easily. I am all for supporting indie devs, but AAA games built by tens of people charge that much as a one off (check the premium category), not per week. Then if you somehow get over this fact and actually sign up to this subscription, you still can’t play because you need to “unlock” more cash with real money. No, thanks.
