✓ Still being chargedThe app was brilliant while I had it. My and my boyfriend used this app for a few months to get to know eachother a little more in our earlier days. I paid for the premium subscription which is $4.99 a month, cool that’s fine. I haven’t had the app downloaded on my phone for months and haven’t used it for longer, I have no active subscriptions but I’m still being charged $4.99 a month. I’ve tried to contact agape’s customer support but heard nothing from them. Whatever you do don’t get the premium package..Version: 3.12.0
✓ Needs better variety of questionsMy girlfriend and I have been using the app now for a little over a year and the questions are good but we've noticed recently the questions all seem to be the same general question just reworded and it's super annoying and at this point our answers are almost just the same thing so we don't lose our streak. We are hardly in a financial position to pay for the membership to be able to pick a new question and frankly I think its stupid that an app that is supposed to allow for deeper dives into your relationship has the same questions repetitively just worded a bit different. We should be allowed a question change once a day or once a week with no membership. Because how are we supposed to get any deeper if it's the same content every single time??.Version: 3.10.0
✓ Without purchasing a subscription, options are limited.TLDR: It’s only helpful for a little while and then you either pay for the subscription or it gets very very boring. We have only used the free version and at first it was very good. Caused us to really think about our answers, but after awhile, it’s turned into not much other than rephrased questions from previous days or “fun” questions like “what do you think your partner would sell their kidney for?” Or “what have most other ppl done that you haven’t?” I don’t find this thought-provoking, inductive of connection with my fiancé, or helpful. ✓ Not as good as reviews sayThere are many things I like about this app. Such as the whole premise, the actual good questions, and a few of the premium features. The problems start with the paywall. If you and your partner want access to change the questions, personalize them, or just have access to the other topics then you’re going to cough up $50. They even try to deceive you a little by dumbing down the price by saying 2.08 $ per person, per month. That is just done to trick you into thinking its cheap by that logic and to sway you into buying it. After the paywall there are the trash questions. (Which i paid for) There are questions that aren’t insightful, questions that are boring, and essentially plagued with repeat but reworded questions. Over time my girlfriend and I started using the app less and less because we had answered so many questions and we didn’t even reach 1 year before we decided we no longer wanted to use the app. Which brings me to say that the app has poor longevity for couples who are just dating. After a brief discussion, we both ruled that it was because of a few factors, the lack of good questions, we had answered nearly all the ones we wanted, and there were too many questions that we felt were just bad. If I didn’t pay for premium I’m sure we would of stopped using the app way sooner than we did..Version: 3.13.0
✓ It’s okay but the price..It was useful with me and my partner, good questions asked but make sure you cancel your subscription. My ldr bf was charged £50… it is definitely not worth that and I can think of a few subscriptions I would pay for that amount. ✓ Paywall too high, app gets boring fast without itI’m not really in the business of paying for apps, but if this one wasn’t so expensive I would do it in a heartbeat. As is, we get so many repeat questions we can’t skip since we don’t make the kind of money to spend on things like this. I’d like to be able to talk about sex with my boyfriend, but that’s paywalled too!!! I never wrote app reviews, but guys, you really need to change something. We started using it less and less, and I miss doing it with him. The questions just aren’t fun anymore. It’s all the same questions about fighting, and that’s not fun. ✓ Good potentialApp was so good and had amazing ideas but was barely usable at the start cause of how much it crashed and wouldn’t update new questions. ✓ Good app. But why is Premium so expensive?Me and my Boyfriend love this app. He chose this app and wheni saw it i thought of another app and chose this one over the other app. And its fairly good. However, me and my boyfriend want to do the other premium categories. So I wanted to buy it for me and him so we can do it, but I was very shocked with the huge price tag for their premium. Why is it $200 for the life time and $50 per year for the annual payment plan?! For helping relationship? ✓ I miss the Daily question and timerMy boyfriend and I loved the app and used it daily for 6 months until the update with the change from “Daily Question” to “Chosen for you” happened. The fact that was only one question a day was so good. you could close the app and reopen it and the daily question wouldn’t change, unless the timer was done or you answered the question. I don’t understand why you thought it was a bad idea or wasn’t working. It felt more special because it made us talk more about different things, the timer help us to make sure we answer a question we liked, we feel that we even put more effort and were more present answering because the questions could go away when the time was done. Now it goes away if you accidentally closed the app, making it frustrating because you can even delete a long answer that you have been writing with attention, the Daily question used to even saved y the answer if you didn’t press send and closed the app. We even pay for the $99 year subscription and now we are looking for a different app that looks more like the Agapé we loved, because this one is not working for us any more. ✓ Way too expensiveLoved the app for a while and myself and my partner who are in a long distance relationship absolutely raved about it until suddenly after a couple of weeks of using it they completely stopped access unless you subscribed. I enjoyed it enough to consider it until I saw the extortionate price for what is essentially daily questions. Plus I feel the fact that there is no option to use a simpler version of the app for free and then upgrade to premium for further features is not the way to get people to continue use. ✓ DO NOT UPDATE ITI updated my app to get the photo posting option and it was bait 😢. Now the app is so much worse and basically the only feature I used is gone. You can no longer view the lists of questions and go through them one by one. My boyfriend and I were going through the holidays and emotional safety lists and now all our progress is gone. You can barely get anything without paying now and the options were so limited already before. If I don’t like the question of the day or it’s something I already know about him, I can’t find a different question to use. I’m stuck with randomly generated ones. ✓ The app badly needs a streak freezeThe fact that missing a day could make a user lose their streak and have to restart is demoralising enough to make the user not want to use the app anymore. I’ve had busy days that meant asking a question eluded me and opening the app to see that all the streak I’ve gathered over time was lost in an instance was really demoralising and made me lose interest. The app also saves the answers you write so you can go back and read them which I think is a great idea. However my partner and I felt that we wanted to connect using the app but the free questions (especially questions created by Sabrina) were sometimes a little confusing and hard to elaborate on. ✓ App ideasMaybe have questions like personality type questions that each person answers and we each can see the results how to better communicate depending on there personality type and communication style - love language types Maybe some puzzles and work together games that requires problem solving and to work together - a way where both partners rate date ideas and only the ones matched / one of each that each person rated high so that way they can do dates they both like and would be able to compromise on bonding over something each partner may like that the other doesn’t so much a give and take kinda thing and like catagorys based off like price / effort (also can be based off love language ) maybe. ✓ Catch 22So, have just started this app yesterday, and think it’s an amazing concept… but… In order to justify the annual subscription cost, I feel like I would need to use it for a year to get my moneys worth ($70 is PRICEY) However, like the gym, I feel like my commitment won’t go the distance, so would prefer a monthly subscription I could opt out of like spotify/Netflix, then I could trial it for a few months before signing up for the whole thing. ✓ Wanted to use to build social skills, but don’t have anyone to inviteI saw an ad for this on Instagram and thought the questions were really amazing. I thought this would be a good way to learn more interesting conversation starters now that I’m trying to make more friends and go out on dates but you literally can’t even use the app without connecting with someone to answer. I know I should have read more about it, but I wish this fact was more apparent in the ads. ✓ Questions become repetitiveMy partner and I have been using this app daily for probably a couple months or so. It was fun at first but the questions began to get repetitive, not in the sense that they were repeated word for word but many questions were similar but just asked in a different way. For example, questions like “what would you like to do with your partner on a date”vs “what would you like to do for fun with your partner” vs “what is some thing new you would like to try with your partner” etc. Whenever we would get a question that was somewhat similar to something we had already answered we could at least go to the question library and it would generate another random question. unfortunately it seems like they recently took that away for free users and now you’re stuck with the daily question that cannot be changed. because of this we have stopped using the app, it’s just tiring to answer similar questions in slightly different nuanced ways..Version: 2.29.0
✓ It’s a great app …BUTThis app is great especially when it comes to connecting with your partner on a deeper level. I really enjoyed using it during the free trial until it came to a point where it barred us from basically using the app because we weren’t paying for premium. Not to mention, premium is ridiculously expensive. I’m sorry but nobody in their right mind is gonna want to pay $200 A YEAR for an app where you answer prompts. I understand that only one person pays but even $100 a year for one person is pretty ridiculous for what the app actually is. ✓ Good start but needs some workThe concept is great and we like the questions, but the app has some functionality issues. Both me and my partner get notifications saying the other person has answered a question when they didn’t, and the red notification badge shows up randomly and then when we open the app, there’s no new notifications. It also keeps your last response in the text field so if you want to add anything to the conversation, you have to delete everything before you can say something new. All the previous answered questions are just kept in a list on the home screen so a way to organize them and look back on them would be nice. Maybe be able to view responses by category? Would also really like an option to turn off daily reminders and still be able to get notifications when my partner responds. I’ve turned off all app notifications because of this as well as the phantom notification bug. The free version is okay, but we wanted the extra questions and would have paid for premium if there was a monthly subscription option. Paying $50 up front doesn’t fit into our college student budgets, but we would have been happy to pay a few dollars a month..Version: 2.32.0
✓ Good, but could be betterBefore I say anything, I think agape is an incredible app for everyone, there are so many meaningful conversations to be had because of this app and its fun going through so many of their questions (which there are a LOT of). However, I use this with my boyfriend, and it’s really frustrating when I see an important to talk about topic section like “Engagement”, however most of the best questions/most beneficial ones are for premium only. Not to mention, literally all of the questions about you know what are all premium only. It seems like a money gouge to me at that point. They should free at least SOME of the sections about you know what up, alone with many others. I was pretty disappointed so, 3/5 stars for now. Maybe this will change some day :/.Version: 3.16.0

✓ Good App / Bad PricingMyself and partner use the app daily as it’s really cute way to find out more about each other or to send love notes. The problem is most of the question themes are locked behind paying for premium. While I’d have happily paid a decent price, paying £48 for a years access (with no way to pay for a single month’s access) prevents use of most of the app and the more interesting question topics. Such good potential for the app and will still remain using it, but it’s left a bitter taste in my mouth that that access is limited and the price point is extortionate..Version: 2.21.0
