✓ Death by ads.I’ve played MadSkills mx since it came out many years ago. Played every version. Spent lots on full versions etc. This version falls into the familiar “watch ads to play” format, which on one hand may not seem like that big a deal, but for this game it just doesn’t work. The greatest thing about the old versions was the quick play. The simple format and quick play was the winner. Instant replay always. Never having to wait. Now this is broken up by constant ads. This ruins the enjoyment for me completely and I’m sad to say, for the first time ever, I will delete this game. It’s been a nice run guys but you’ve jumped the shark. By by now..Version: 1.4.5
✓ Fun, but takes WAY to long to earn coinsIf it wasn’t for it taking weeks/months of playing just to earn enough coins for a new bike, this game would easily get 5 stars. If you want to reach the max level it’s gonna cost you several hundred dollars, or about a year & a half of playing every single day to level up without spending real money on the game. Very disappointing because no one has that kinda time to spend playing on an app & I refuse to spend more than $5 at a time on an app. Just deleted the app because it’s time consuming with no gratification. ✓ Duel races have to much AI involvedDuel races have to much AI involved , I just beat a guy 5 times in a row and lost the race when the clock got to zero never having seen him win until I watched the replay . What gives MadSkills if your not going to race us with the best race then what’s the point. None of the races I ran did he so many tail whips other I would have changed my strategy. ✓ Grind. Grind. Grind.Would be a great game but the grind is insane. Got to point where I can’t win without an upgraded bike and I’ll spend hours just to upgrade, so I can more forward to other tracks. Just spent 4 days of coins to upgrade a bike and it’s still not fast enough to clear jumps where I’m stuck. So another week or two of grind maybe I can upgrade to do it all again. Msm2 was pretty much the only game I played. Paid for it straight up. Expected big things. The game itself is great..Version: 1.4.8
✓ Worse than the 2ndThis game is nowhere near the potential it should’ve been at after the hype that MSMX2 got. spending currency to upgrade bikes which you cant even get a quarter of the amount through winning races and challenges, it’s pretty much screaming to buy credits. everything in this game honestly seems like they made it before mad skills 2, all the sfs make it boring to play and like a typical mobile game. the standards for MSMX after 2 were very high and they couldn’t even get close to remotely the same as the old one. just worse in my opinion. definelty deleting and keep enjoying MSMX2..Version: 1.4.0
✓ Too slow to upgrade bikesThis game was very fun initially; however, it becomes nearly impossible to upgrade the bikes through game play alone without spending money. I enjoy the championship races and there comes a point where you can no longer participate without paying money because the payouts are not enough to purchase the required bike to have a shot at progressing. I have logged 20hrs on the game and it is basically a dead end if you don’t want to pay. I was able to upgrade to bike 4 after a couple of days playing. It’s been about 2 weeks and I am not even half way to obtaining enough game coins for bike 5. It definitely gets boring if you are like me and are interested in the championship portion of the game..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Not as good as the originalI absolutely loved the first Mad Skills Motocross. It was truly great. Sadly no longer supported for recent iOS versions. The second and third generation versions are ok but not a shadow on the playability of the original. Please bring the original back! ✓ OriginalsThis app has moved towards an absolute money hog. I’ve been playing since the OG came out. Being able to level up on bikes without spending money was the best. The developers have gotten extremely selfish with allowing us to just play a game for what it is. I know things cost money…but getting to home 5 I need to spend an extra $25 to have enough coins to purchase it so I can’t continue on with the game because I’m stuck on a track that doesn’t allow me to win no matter what line I take. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Please fix this. Let me buy the game for $25 so I can play in full and win bikes when I win all the races in the respective category..Version: 1.4.9
✓ Fun until it’s notThis is a great game. Until it’s not. Coming from MX2 it has similar physics and the skill translates. The whips are one of the best parts and lead to a lot more fun races, but the way of getting bikes is awful. It’s now just like every other pay to win game. After about bike 4/7 the bikes get ridiculously hard to buy. Unlike the last one in which skill got you the next bike, this is purely currency based. If the bikes were unlockable with tasks like the last one this would be a great successor, but until that’s changed I’ll just play 2 again..Version: 1.3.1

✓ Good Game IF you want to pay a lot of moneyThe gameplay is great, I have no problems with that aspect of the game. The problem is how much in game currency it costs to purchase the next level bike. It’s almost impossible to move up a tier after bike 5. Unless you want to pay real money. And once you pay £15-20 for one bike you will quickly need the next one which is also impossible to buy with in game currency. So once you buy a bike with real cash, you will need to keep paying real cash for the next bike and it’s something like £40. Ridiculous game design and I would not recommend getting into the game as it’s designed to make you want to spend more and more money. I spent about £30 and still can’t finish the game. For a mobile game, that is entirely too much money. Don’t pay for anything in this game, as the prices only get worse..Version: 1.6.5

✓ Amazing but EXPENSIVELike most other reviews say, this game is amazing, and it’s a huge improvement from the second game. From the first bike, to bike 3, the grind is worth it and fair. But once you get passed bike 3, the bikes and parts get extremely expensive and hard to get without getting the Pro subscription, which would be fine, except the pro subscription costs the same as a Netflix subscription. This is not a console quality game, nor does it provide as much content as other subscription services. $12/ month is just ridiculous for a phone game. If you guys made it more affordable, or made the pay outs on races/ challenges more profitable, it would be a 5 star game. ✓ Mostly a good game, kind of questionable businessThe game is fun. Actually a lot of fun. Fun enough to justify spending 10 bucks to get rid of the adds. It would honestly be 5 stars if that was that. What bums me out is the game punishes you for progressing or grinding. 10 bucks gets rid of adds. You can earn money by: events, daily goals, team jams etc. awesome. You can also earn money by watching ads. Fair enough. What’s questionable however is that as you progress in the game, the ads stop working. Like you’re told you’ll get some nominal amount of $ for watching an ad. Watch it. No money. I watch it again. No money. Sometimes you have to watch it 4-5 times to get the money. Lame. And the daily goals get less the further you get. Daily goals being another way to make money. So now you have less goals. And have to repeatedly watch ads to get enough money to do anything. So despite spending 10 bucks, which isn’t a ton admittedly, you end up grinding to get ahead. But they make grinding more and more difficult the further you get. If the ads worked, this game would be flawless. The game play is fun. The graphics are reasonable. ✓ Takes too Long to Upgrade BikesTook the developer’s advice and went back through the Championship. With 100% completion (meaning gold medal, and completed the challenges) through the 5th round out of 7th, I’m still short 15,000 silver to upgrade to the 6th bike. And I’m assuming the 7th bike is going to closer to 60,000 silver. The game is so much fun, and the graphics are sick, but to be competitive, get ready to spend at least $100/$200 in real cash… The best part of MSM2 was the head to head races every week (in my opinion). And without taking a second mortgage out on your home, you’re probably not going to be able to afford being competitive. Super disappointing..Version: 1.1.1

It’s bad enough on social media, tv, etc. now you guys? Other games like boom beach or the sims don’t get adds like this. Why you? They have in store purchases, like you.. but they don’t have ads pop every minute you play. What a shame! Also people are now hacking the game. Which makes it impossible to beat them in races. It’s obvious they are. The same people in the same teams having Perfect runs on literally every single race against them. ✓ Money hungry ownersTypical of any good games they released the new one and now they’ve incorporated ridiculous wait times to receive parts that you have purchased in hopes that you’ll pay real money to receive upgrade parts immediately. The old method of unlocking bikes by task was much better. It’s also next to impossible to get enough money for parts to have your bike upgraded enough to beat the competition. Once again they hope you’ll spend real money to upgrade your bike to avoid this issue. I’ll be sticking with the old game. ✓ Great game but…..I loved playing MSMX2 and for a while after it’s release I’ve really enjoyed playing MSMX3 but all of a sudden it’s just one advert after another that you can’t skip and they are killing the whole enjoyment of playing! For now though I’m no longer using the game so I think the adverts have had the opposite effect. ✓ Why the 1 star?This game is almost 100 percent pay to win and getting in game currency is harder than you can imagine. I literally have to play old races to get money and i only get about 6-30 coins when completing the races. And when you have to upgrade your bikes to win races cause the ai are very hard it gets pretty annoying. It also doesn’t make sense why bike upgrades need to be extremely expensive and i have to grind just for a upgrade that doesn’t even make my bike better. ✓ Great gameplay but falls short in other areasAs the title says the game play and game in general is absolutely amazing. A lot of new features from the 2nd installment (whoever came up with the whips idea deserved a raise). However the prices of things are absolutely absurd your almost forced to pay real world money for coins which are an absurd cost for an amount that will hardly get you the 5th bike. Trying to upgrade the bikes/buy the next bike to keep up with campaign mode is nearly impossible i like a little grind in my games but this is too much. ✓ Pay to win!I've been playing this game for probably over 2 months now and really liked it in the beginning. The graphics for a "cell phone" game were excellent and the track variations kept me interested. But then I realized after FINALLY getting bike 4, that it was going to be nearly impossible to earn enough silver to upgrade to bike 5. I consistently play every day, I play the championships (which it's not easy to earn big silver on), I play the every Jam event when it opens, and try and complete all track tasks. I'm looking at probably another month or so of boring game play and I might (and that's a far fetched might) earn enough silver to earn bike 5. It's ridiculous the price to upgrade. The developer is losing out on a lot of players due to the expense but don't really seem to care. Good luck with this game..Version: 1.3.6

✓ Way too many adsI get these games need revenue especially when they are free to download and play, but there becomes a point when it’s not enjoyable to play because everything you do in the game comes with an ad behind it. Wanna race? Ad, Finished a race? Ad, Upgrade your bike? Ad. It’s constant ads in this game and if you wanna actually progress and buy bikes you gotta watch the double currency ads too, otherwise your grinding already played races to try and earn enough coins to buy upgrades. When I first loaded up the game I was bombarded with 6 ads within the first 5 minutes of gameplay. That’s too much! I wish they would make the game like the old MadSkillsMX 2 just with the new content and modes. I’m deleting this and going to try and find a game out there that doesn’t have so many ads. ✓ Latest update has officially ruined it for me!!!!I’ve been playing the game almost a month now and was really enjoying it and reached a point where I needed to grind the free ‘watch ads to earn gold coins’ to get the next bike and updated the app as I was recently having a lot of crashes and lag when restarting races, but after the update I discovered that the developers have significantly dropped the gold coin to silver coin exchange rate and that has pretty much ruined my interest in pushing through this point where I need to upgrade to bike 5 to make it further in the game so as a result I am strongly considering deleting the app now unless something is done to change it back!! I’ve been doing my best to try to earn coins through the championships and jam races but the competition is pretty tough and I rarely make back the money I spent joining the races in the first place so at this point I might give it a few more days to see if the developers see the review and have some sort of solution otherwise I’ll move on to something more worthy of my time..Version: 1.1.1

Bikes are incredibly expensive, so it takes way too long to save up for upgrades, But that doesn’t matter as power is irrelevant, with 1,000 power you can beat bikes with 4,000 power, and you can also lose out to massively underpowered opposition. ✓ Skill gap and money grabAt first, the game was pretty cool and I liked the two stroke four stroke thing, graphic changing, and all the new stuff added. But then u play the game for a week and realize that to get enough coins and all for the next bike up you will be playing for a pretty long time. The only way around it is paying real cash for the game. Don’t get me wrong a couple bucks here and there is fine, and tbh I have a pretty good amount of money in mad skills mx 2. But I’m not gonna spend 50 bucks for it. And in my opinion, mad skills mx 2 has much more of a skill gap I guess you could say. Like there’s fast then there’s really really fast and really really fast is so hard to get to. In this game it seems there’s not much room to improved compared to the last game. ✓ Too many forced advertisementsThis is a GREAT game to play and has only been refined over the years. The forced advertisements really make it a problem to play though, at one time they were only there if you wanted free points. Now everything is shoved in your face like a Vegas casino slot machine. ✓ Can’t even play hardlyI understand that you have to make money and sell things and show ads and such, but there comes a point at which it is so much and intrusive that it feels like you can’t even play the game. Between the 30 second ads, and the 3-4 pop ups asking you to buy some pack between every screen it seems, it feels like you can’t even get to the game to play it. I’m sorry but I just don’t want to play the game bad enough to deal with that much. ✓ Pay to PlayI’ve been an avid MSMX player since the original version. I have a Red Bull helmet on the second version, signaling I have been in Jam Group 1. MSMX3 gets a two star review because I can’t make it from race to race without being forced to buy a new bike. I’m only about halfway to bike 3 and bike 2 absolutely will not make it past the third race in Iceland. It’s impossible. If I have to put money into this game between bikes 2 and 3, I imagine you’ll have to put money in eeeevery single time you need a new one! Playing this free game is no longer free, and for that, you get two stars..Version: 1.3.4
✓ To many adds and expensiveThis is fun to play, it’s no where near as good as Ricky Charmichal Supercross from some years ago but it’s ok, other than the stupid amount of adds and expensive upgrades needed to remain competitive as you progress. I did as well as I could for free and then got sick of losing to bikes with 2-3 times more power. I refuse to pay the high price of upgrading. If the upgrades were more reasonable with pricing I may have continued but I’ve now uninstalled.Version: 1.7.9

✓ Fun at start get less fun over timeThis game is fun and the start but I gets harder overtime. Every button you press has a ad so many ad’s. Also every time you load into a race it gives you a ad. Also the game is constantly trying to get you to purchase stuff. Also, the game gets really hard. as you progress. and to be able to keep up with the races, you constantly need to watch ads to get coins to upgrade the bike. overall fun is the start but I’m thinking about deleting it..Version: 1.8.6
✓ Money trap!!!!!!! SHAME ON YOUThis is such a great game, BUT it’s just a money trap!!!!!! You have to win coins and gold to upgrade bikes, but the problem is you can’t win enough without the upgrades. Then you finally get enough to upgrade so you can win but you change levels and your right back in the same sinking boat!!!!! You can buy the bikes if you want to dump at least $50 a month to stay competitive as you move up but at that price your going to be $400 bucks in to a free game!!!!! ✓ Money pitI have been playing msmx since the very first game and I can say that if 2 had the ability to whip like this game it would be a no brainer that it’s a better game. What I’ve noticed with this game other than the fact that you practically have to spend money to actually enjoy/progress in the game, the whole upgrading bikes thing, having 2 currency’s, and instead of simply winning races to move to the next bike you have to complete the stupid challenges and with that it seems like the fun tracks have the dumbest challenges while the more difficult tracks have the easy ones. On occasion ofc. Some of the challenges you get presented with make absolutely no sense and I think the game was better when all you had to do is win races. Not do a double back flip to a 2 second wheelie. Also with the challenges sometimes it’s impossible to completely all of them at once while still winning the race. This game has many flaws that plenty of people notice and comment on still the devs don’t seem to care, aslong as they get their money right. I see the potential without a doubt but the game still has so much refining to be done..Version: 1.3.4
