✓ Game is now unplayableAlright I’ve been enjoying the game for some time now and literally today I’ve just had this issue within the game that now makes it unplayable.. It started earlier today, I bought some gems in order to have buy chests for the new prison beach fortress and about an hour into playing on the new prison I closed the app so I could double my money in about 30 minutes, and when I came back I received the doubled prison money and I started getting a lot of achievements, that I know I didn’t actually play to earn and on this one achievement it reads ,”objective achieved rehabilitate 10 prisoners ” and when I hit claim to receive the reward that comes with it reads,”connection error, action could not be completed. Please check your internet connection”. Every time I hit retry it says the same thing. Remind you this was earlier in the day. I deleted the game out of frustration, reinstalled it and logged in and had to restart from scratch. I lost all of the gems that I had purchased as well as all of my progress, I was back to the beginning, the only thing I have left was the double money and no ads but still receive bonuses. I started back playing the game from the start and about a hour hour later after playing of the beach fortress map i have the same issue as before..Version: 2.5.7

✓ Lack of ads during eventAds were constantly available prior to the Iron Fortress event and conveniently there are now none available. According to the developer “There is no limit in videos you can watch. However, ad providers may not have any more videos available for your location after a certain time.” They also state “It would be a temporary issue. If it persists, please close your game completely from your device and open it again after a few minutes.” That didn’t work so I tried shutting down my phone & also avoided playing the game for 12 hours, yet there are still no ads. I went over 24 hours without a single ad, was able to play some ads and once again there are no ads. Temporary issue...few minutes? Apparently we define those things very differently. Sure I don’t live in a major populated city like LA but I should not be put at a disadvantage and expected to pay $9.99+ because ads aren’t available. I’m never going to be able to complete this event without spending real money and that’s just not cool. I will most likely delete this game after the event. I think it’s ridiculous that you’re given an advantage/disadvantage to play the game for free based on your location..Version: 2.2.3
✓ Cute GameEverytime you turn it off all levels of the prisoners decline meaning that you are more than likely to have a riot. When you have finished minimum security that’s it, there isn’t any point to have that prison anymore as the money cannot be transferred between prisons When there is an upset prisoner or riot there is nothing you can do. You can’t click on anyone to give assistance or anything. You can’t pickup and drag your staff so if the cleaners don’t find something straight away it gets left for a while while they all hang out in the laundry You can’t keep upgrading the prison components beyond a limit so the money becomes useless at one point There is no point in doing 2 hours worth of ads as you can only be away from your prison for 1 hour at a time. You can’t upgrade the Warden/Governers office You can’t make a garden You can’t let prisoners do work to help save you money and make for a better prisoner.Version: 1.0.3
✓ Cool game when it’s workingI enjoyed it lots and even put money on this game...but it wasn’t long before it stopped working. Their newest event prison caused issues that prevented me from playing the entire game more often than not, which is frustrating as it’s a time based game. Their help desk was useless and said the server was just full all the time...but I was already logged in and playing when the issue would occur. They eventually stopped responding. ✓ Good game - very repetitiveI’ve been playing this game for about a week now quite intensively, rehabilitated about 600 prisoners, but now I’m finding the game to be quite repetitive and almost boring once you max out everything in your prison. Also, what’s with all the prisoners being male? Can’t you have a male and a female cell module? I think you should create a room for commissary, like in the real world inmates can purchase commissary through computers in the cell. Maybe you could add this feature to lower stress for inmates who have commissary and increase stress for those that can’t afford it? You could make it so inmates are more likely to fight over commissary? All in all a decent game, just repetitive.Version: 1.1.3

✓ Stuck on reward screenThe game is a lot of fun, but I was oddly rewarded all the objective achievements that I hadn’t completed and now it is stuck on the first objective and I can’t exit off to play the game. I press claim and it says the action cannot be completed, when I accept it it goes back to the claim screen and the cycle restarts. ✓ Great Concept; Needs workPros: the gameplay is straightforward and the potential to earn the coins needed to build are great. It’s a reasonable way to waste time throughout the day. Cons: The timing of non controllable actions are ridiculous. The game is basically designed to keep your phone in your hand all day. 1. If you leave the app to, idk, go to sleep; expect a riot because the prisoners aren’t fed or their “happiness” level dropped so significantly that they’re waiting at the door to start a fight and, again, you can’t do anything because the time you spent outside out the app would’ve been the time to prevent that from happening. 2. The timing of the janitors are also off- they all do laundry at the same time, regardless of how many you’ve hired. 3. There’s the issue of when prisoners are dropped off which also impacts the amount of prisoners involved in a riot and if they haven’t eaten before they were sent to solitary....expect a riot/ loss guards to rehire. Overall it’s a good game with great potential however there are plenty of things that have to be worked on before it can be considered on of the greats..Version: 1.1.3

I’ve been wondering if a patch will come out but nothing has yet and it’s been so annoying because sometimes it will crash and what I’ve done hasn’t saved so I have to go and upgrade everything again. ✓ Boring game after playing for an hourOnce you’ve built and maxed up all the rooms in the prison that’s it. I even waited for the next prison thinking surely it’d be different with other build options or changes but no it’s the same thing just bigger. Also what you do in the game has no effect on the outcome of the sims. If you’re away from the game the prisoner will riot to get your attention. Even while sitting in the perfect prison with everything that you could buy they aren’t happy. I am however upset that their latest event with the Aliens that they expect us to pay 1000 diamonds for both Cell modules! That is a disgrace! Your previous event the iron island never had that. ✓ Loved the game at the start...butOverall the game is fun, however the difference between levels needs to be a bit more exciting, the time to upgrade is beyond ridiculous! I compete a level, and then I worked out it would take me two months of playing daily on the level I already completed to gain the extra prisoners to be able to upgrade. That’s crazy! There needs to less of a gap or easier ways to move forward without being put off like that. The other thing is the cost for things, it’s once again taking too much time to get there, and it’s not enticing enough to want spend $ to upgrade that way either. ✓ I really like this game but I can’t play itI really love all the idle games that this developer makes and I very excited to play this one but sadly every time I try and play it, it crashes every 60 seconds and then I’m back at my home screen. I don’t know how to fix it and I don’t know what the problem is and I try to avoid this from happening or play it as much as I can before it crashes but it’s never been more than five minutes. When I try and keep it open I have every other app closed and I have even deleted some games I don’t really play any more thinking that it might be my iPad that’s overloaded but even still that doesn’t work. I don’t know if anyone else has this problem but for me it’s unplayable, it even took me going into the app 5 times after the resetting to even get through the introduction telling us how to play the game. ✓ Tired of losing benefits for watching adsI never write reviews but I couldn’t just delete this game without it being know why so others don’t go through the same waste of time I did. The game to make money obviously gives you multipliers in exchange for watching ads. The stupid thing is that they want you to watch 4 ads just to get 1 hour of benefits but on top of that, I went to switch to check my other jail and I came back and the 1 hour I accumulated was at zero. ✓ Have to buy to go offlineThere is only 1 problem with this game unless you pay for a manager you can’t be offline more then an hour. Guess they don’t want people to sleep. Otherwise very addictive game. I have increased my rating only because it is actually fun to play. But the problem of not being offline more then an hour in events is a problem. Basically unless you have the game opened every hour then your prison stops working. The normal prisons you can buy people to make the limit to 24 Hours. For the event prisons you need a special key to be able to be able to be out of the game for an unlimited amount of time. But guess what it costs 100 gems. Then when you run out of gems you have to buy them. And still only get a 5% chance of getting the key. If they can sort this issue they will get 5 stars from me..Version: 1.2.1
✓ Unable to openMe and my husband both play this game, it’s a great game but since the night of the 20th of September 2020 me and my husband both can no longer access the game on either of our phones, it starts loading and then it just cuts out and shuts down, we are wondering wether it is a part of the new update, me and my husband really enjoy it and will keep playing it if a new update becomes available or something is fixed to allow us to play it again as we were so excited when a new prison became available as my husband had clocked it and couldn’t do anything more until then. ✓ Could be a really good game....I have had this game for two weeks or so and it crashes every 30 seconds the entire time. Outside of not being able to truly play the game due to the crashes, their is a ton of potential. You will continue to lose customers and funds if the next update is released in another 4 weeks as the general trend of updates have happened. Your main priority should be making sure everyone can access the game and play it seamlessly without constant crashes and freezes. Any other additions to the game are absolutely pointless if a good percentage of people can’t even play it and give a true review of it. Looking past all that, the game is a awesome aspect to playing a game that you don’t feel sucked into playing 24/7, minus the fact it’s not a true idle game because micro transactions are used to extend how long it truly will run for after you’ve gotten off. Without spending money you are limited to only getting funds for one hour after logging off. Then you’ve got your typical option to pay without having to watch ads to pull in extra money and then pay for increasing your potential profit in game..Version: 1.2.0
✓ Good game but terrible Ad designThe game seems to have good gameplay the problem however has constant missing ads. You can use an ad to collect extra cash or to double your offline pay. However after about an hour you run out of ads and instead the game goes to a blank screen. The only way to recover is to restart the game. You then lose the money you were trying to get. Including any offline pay. It also resets the prison slightly. Meaning if you had enough food before the stoppage you no longer do and will increase the stress your prisoners have. There is a solution. Pay for the ad removal. Which is £8.99. Very pricy. If it was more reasonable I would of paid to continue playing. Looking around this problem has been around for over 5 months. But no sign of a fix. Do yourself a favour. If you don’t want to play the ad removal find another game. You will save yourself a lot of stress..Version: 2.4.0.1
✓ Good game but… (please have a response)I love this game and I play it all the time, it’s fun and easy to understand and get the hang of. There’s no problem of the gameplay the only thing for me is all the prisoners and guards are male?? This confuses me and there is no reason why there can’t be female guards and prisoners. It’s quite sexist and all of it mentions the tough guys, all the upgrade are about new and stronger male prisoners/guards. Honestly where does it mention it’s a male prison? And all male guards to?? Also very disrespectful, females go to jail and can commit crimes, as well as they can be guards and police officers if that helps. ✓ BoringIt takes weeks for the developers to reply to you if they do at all out of 6 to 10 emails I’ve sent them I have had two answers. I did spend money on this game when I first downloaded it as I thought this is going to be fun and keep me entertained for ages little did I know that within 4 to 6 weeks I would finish everything there was to do in the game and have nothing to spend the billions of dollars that rack up. They do an extra present event every week that is the exact same every week this game needs a lot new content needs to be able to expand the existing prisons and needs new prisons on a regular basis to keep everyone active. ✓ If You Read This Please Understand Why it’s a long paragraphI’ve been a long time fan of this company and I enjoy the games but I’ve started to stop playing the new games I started playing these games when idle ship and plane sim came out in the AppStore then there was idle shopping sim and it was a banger then another few until....... idle hotel sim came out when I got it at first I thought it was a fun game but progressively it got worse and boring and difficult it was just rubbish in my opinion there’s no fun to it you can’t compare it to idle coaster or gym because those were actually fun why are you changing you’re game type which won’t make it fun for old players and nostalgia also idle prison I deleted in the first 5 minutes because it was boring and i realised the game was like idle hotel but idle life was amazing why are you changing around all you’re game types it’s not very amusing playing hotel and prison tycoon there’s even massive glitches for example idle shopping sim runs so smoothly on my iPad Air which is quite old around 7 years old and idle prison is kicking me off also what the hell is happening in the settings area with all the Spanish glitches and bugs if the developers are reading THIS please DO NOT MAKE ANYMORE GAMES THAT ARE LIKE IDLE HOTEL AND PRISON BECAUSE this is the easiest but cruel way ever to say but THEY ARE SO BAD I CANT WVEN ENJOY IT......Version: 0.9.3
✓ Really enjoyable - until everything goes wrong.I had been playing this game for a few hours at most, and was starting to really earn some money. It was at that point that I had my first riot - which my guards failed spectacularly to contain - that resulted in my losing every single one of my guards and losing all my prisoners. I was left with 9 and a bit dollars in funds, no guards and no prisoners. Therefore, I was spending money on paying staff salaries with literally no way to earn more, as without guards to process a new intake of prisoners I had no way to get any cash flowing back into my prison and therefore no money to hire more guards. I cannot express how much I was enjoying the game (it being much more nuanced than most of its kind that I have played), and also how deeply disappointed I am that the only remedy to this situation would be to spend real currency on buying myself some in-game money just to carry on. Not. Happening. As a suggestion to improve (as I feel all good reviews ought to include) it might be good to have a recommended number of guards or some guards per prisoner advice? Also, a walkthrough of ways to prepare for/deal with riots when the first one occurs might also be helpful, maybe include a practice riot in the tutorial section?.Version: 1.1.2
✓ It was fun while it lasted- 2 seconds...This was an amazing game. Even if you didn’t upgrade, it was so entertaining to watch the day go by and the prisoners going about their lives. It didn’t take long though, about 15 minutes of game play, before I started having issues. Whenever I just started my prison was small and had no problems. I got through two check ins before my app crashed every time it was time to check in prisoners. I knew every time that bus came, my app would crash. As I made another cell, got more prisoners and more employees, I could only app open for 30 seconds without it crashing, regardless of check ins. Soon (as in the same day I got the app) I couldn’t even have the app open and run for five seconds without it crashing. Once I got a second new cell, I couldn’t get out of the load screen at all. Whenever it was almost loaded in, my app crashed. I have given up. I have tried deleting and redownloading the app and nothing works. Why even try to get in the app whenever it crashes? I am perfectly willing to change my review if this gets fixed but honestly, I don’t think the developers are going to waste their time on one app whenever a new one could do just as well. ✓ Not a bad game at all but very buggy.I enjoy the game I love the idea the look and how it all works. That’s fine... the biggest flaw is the timing so the prisoners have a strict schedule (yes good idea) but they never manage to stick it or they are to late at arriving to things on the schedule and walk away. This is super annoying I keep on having riots all the time because whenever my prisoners go to eat for some reason they are going just at the time runs out, so they never eat. Then they are annoyed and angry and you have a riot. Really frustrating when you upgrade your kitchen hire more cooks or when you have everything fully upgraded to keep them happy. But that doesn’t matter because they never eat so they riot. You really need to fix this it’s incredibly annoying and I can’t do anything to stop it..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Great if you enjoy advertsCould actually be a decent empire building / SimCity type game, but unless you want to spend $$$’s, the only way to progress is by watching endless video adverts. Annoyingly, these don’t integrate well, and about a third don’t complete correctly - meaning you have wasted your time and not received the in game credits. I’d look elsewhere. We version update has made the game worse. Very average coding errors mean the game is often unplayable. My prison was making 350 credits/he yesterday, now it’s losing 480/hr. ✓ AnnoyingRight now I have two games made by this company on my tablet this one and Idle Police tycoon. Out of the two this one is a lot more fun. I like the strategy in the game. You really have to plan out how you are going to keep prisoners happy even when you aren’t in the game, so when you come back they aren’t all trying to kill each other. However, my biggest complaint about this game is the ads, I don’t mind watching ads to get what I need, I do mind watching the ad and getting nothing, or watching the ad and the screen goes black so I have to reboot the game and worse still tapping on the watch ad button and nothing happens or worse still an ad pops up and the takes you back to the game after a few minutes. Honestly I’d like to start a riot of my own, it’s aggravating to want to help my prisoners but the game has opted not to let me. I’ve contacted them about this issue and of course they blame the ad providers for the issue. If you look up the fixes for these types of issues in the help section they quickly blame you for the problem. Anyway I don’t think I’ll be playing much longer because it’s nearly impossible without ads or money and I past by the help section for money on my search for ad problems…I wouldn’t dream of paying if they can’t get a simple ad problem right..Version: 2.4.3.2

With the second last update, the game started crashing but was still playable. However with the last update I can’t load the game at all. ✓ Ridden with glitches that ruin an amazing gameI first fell in love with your games when Idle Fitness Gym came out, and loved Hotel Empire equally as much. When Prison Empire was released I was so excited, but was sad to see the same glitches and problems with watching ads were still occurring. Prison Empire is by far the glitchiest, however, out of all of your games. I can’t keep the app open for more than 2 minutes anymore without it crashing. Ads do not work, and when they do, I either will not receive the reward or the game will crash before the ad ends. Today I tried for what seemed like an hour trying to get the game to stay open for more than a couple of minutes, and I still haven’t been able to properly open it and play it. Is there anything you guys can do about these glitches? You’ve obviously made some great games that people enjoy playing, but the only way to progress in the game early on is to watch ads, and with the ads and income-doubler button broken, moving forward past the preliminary stages of the different locations becomes an impossible task. ✓ Tons of BugsFirst of all, the thing that annoys me the most is that unless you force stop this game it will not proceed in the background. Even if you spend gems to hire the advisor to allow that. I emailed support regarding this issue and the answer was “just force stop it every time”. Uhhhh disappointing? Also the same issue arises with the construction of areas. If you don’t force stop, areas under construction will not go down in time or complete in the background. I would put this down at night and wake up thinking I’d made a decent chunk of change over night and... no, not a cent. My last big complaint with this game is EVERY TIME I start it up there’s a riot. Like every. Single. Time. Kind of hard to make money in Alcatraz in my workshops when my entire population is eternally in solitary confinement. This game has a ton of potential. Even with grinding through these issues it’s been fun but the riot situation at Alcatraz it’s made the game almost pointless because you make so much more cash out of the workshops. But the workshops are as dormant as an Antarctic volcano when EVERYONE is in solitary all the time. ✓ 5 stars to 3This game is really great, and the new improvements are good ideas, but every time a riot breaks out, everything becomes unclickable. Clicking the eye to move to where the fights are doesn’t work, can’t heal my guards or hire more. I can still move around and look at things but otherwise it stops working. Even the “watch video for cash” that pops up does nothing when I try clicking on it. The prisoners have all been stopped, I have guards left, but it just gets stuck there with the flashing red lights and bodies laying everywhere but it never just ends. Hard closing and reloading is the only thing that corrects it but then I miss out on the boost to income for quenching the riot. It’s becoming very irritating..Version: 2.6.5
✓ Both my prisons are fully upgraded, BUT...I really loved this game and played it 24/7. i spent so long on it that i got the 2 first prisons fully upgraded without making any in app purchases and watching tonsss of adds (* adds are optional but u need them to get money a lot more efficiently *). but even tho my prisoners have the best of everything possible they still aren’t happy and start riots and fights, and there is nothing i can really do because i have nothing to spend the money on other than staff ( which i don’t keep to many or to little ,because i know ur not meant to get to many, and i get more guards when riots start ) this has made me lose my luv for the game cos there’s nothing i can really do other than buying someone to watch the prisoners which is expensive for a game that i don’t get to play much of a part of anymore until i get to the next prison, play for a few hrs maybe a day until the same thing happens and so on **(also there’s only 2 more prisons which would be absolutely fine if the problems i’ve stated didn’t exist)** :(.Version: 1.0.2

✓ Good game with a few annoying bugsGood game, I’m enjoying it however I’m experiencing 2 bugs already (still first day playing it) and they’re annoying. First bug for me is, when I leave and come back it shows me how much I’ve earned and have the option to ‘duplicate’ it if I watch an ad. I click it and nothing happens so I can’t duplicate the money earned. Second bug is syncing. I started off on my iPhone then later installed on my iPad. Upon installation, I was able to continue where I left off on the iPhone. Played for quite a while on the iPad. Then later when I went back to iPhone, all that progress was lost. Opened iPad and it seems to have reverted back to the iPhone save state. Really annoying, spent couple of hours playing it on my iPad and watching ads to get the cash. To think all that is gone is just a waste. To have experienced these two bugs on my first day of playing is a shame, could have been a 4-5 star game..Version: 1.0.2

✓ First time reviewer - Please respondFirstly, this game is great! I’ve spent every day at least twice a day checking in and playing it. It’s gotten to a point where I have nothing left to do? I’ve waited months for the next upcoming prison.. it’s a let down really.. I spent $50 AUD for no ADDS and now I’m accumulating too much money for no reason in game and nothing to progress onto. I see the developers last update gave us costume options to unlock but no information on how to unlock them.. I’d assume (though I shouldn’t) that there’s an update coming very soon.. if not - I’ve wasted $50 and I may forget to keep playing or even bother to keep it at this point sadly. ✓ Good game but needs improvementI’ve played this game for some time and it is a good game and very addictive BUT you need to spend too much real money to progress and there’s not been any new prisons for a long long time. Also the alien invasion bonus is impossible. You would need at least 5000 gems just to complete this and the one time I did have enough gems after completing all levels I did manage to build everything and get the sergeant you also need, etc yet still didn’t finish in the top 100. Not sure if there’s cheats on the game but somehow some people can reform 5000+ prisoners in an hour….something not right there so not worth the time and definitely not worth spending money on..Version: 2.6.6

✓ It's pretty goodIt's a nice, kind of relaxing and fun game to play. I like having goals to achieve and trying to improve the lives of the inmates while they're in the jail. I also appreciate the use of the word "rehabilitation" for when the inmates leave. My only complaint is that sometimes when I watch the ads to get more money I'll sit through the whole thing and not get the money. I never leave the ad too early or close out of it before the X says "reward granted" but still don't get the money. I'm not sure if it's a bug or a problem with my internet connection or something but it's a let down. Overall the game is fun and challenging at the same time. UPDATE: I'm convinced it's a bug because I just logged back onto the game after being inactive for about an hour. I had over $7000 to collect so I pressed continue or whatever the button may be and it didn't even let me collect that money. ✓ DisappointedGot this game because of all the positive reviews. At first I expected a regular idle game, then read that it involves strategy and was sold. I was disappointed so I’m posting this review as a reality check. I was expecting to play a satisfying idle AND true strategy game and this is not that unless you count not overspending as strategy. The whole point is to keep your prison profitable, the only way to increase income is by upgrading prisoners’ cells and having prisoners. The way to decrease is by hiring too many staff members, and it’s easily fixable because you can always fire them. I guess the other part of strategy is keeping prisoners happy and that’s easy but again, upgrades they need are expensive. Don’t even hope to unlock infirmary or other rooms any time soon after starting because of how expensive they are. Overall the game is very basic and doesn’t seem like it involves much strategy. The money generation is extremely, extremely slow for an idle game - you have to wait for hours to get legitimate upgrades or watch ads for money (given your finances are technically in the positive and high, the in-game time is just way too slow). This gets boring and frustrating fast. Plus there is a bug that says “not enough energy” or “not enough water” on some upgrades, even if the meter shows that you have plenty of those resources. Guess what? Upgrading energy and water is very costly as well..Version: 2.1.0
✓ Better than most idle games!It’s pretty decent, feels different than your average idle game and I liked that. It was a refreshing take on what idle mobile games are, at first at least. Every time I log on, there’s a riot. Like, my inmates were in perfect condition when I closed the app, where’s the logic in that? Also, in the first prison, I have all cells unlocked, meaning I have 32 prisoners. When mealtime comes around, 32 people cannot stand in line so about 12 of them walk off upset because they “can’t get dinner” because the line is very temporarily too long. (Also have all upgrades for kitchen and max cooks, doesn’t change anything) Another thing is the rehabilitated prisoner amount you must achieve to move on to the next prison... Many have said in other reviews that their prisons are maxed out, and they’re just sitting around waiting for the rehab’d prisoners to finally catch up with their other progress so they can move on. This happens even in the first prison. It just seems like there are some minor oversights here that should’ve been ironed out in testing, but something tells me the motive to make money was greater than the motive to make a great game. It’s been over a year since they added any new levels to this game which means you are stuck playing “event” levels. The event levels are short as heck only last three days and you have to pay an insane amount of gems (which you purchase as earning them is not easy when you can not move forward in game) to even get the most out of it. Terrible decision on your part. You never used to have to pay to play. ✓ Has potentialI started playing this game just over a week ago. The concept is fun but there are way to many bugs that need worked out before I can continue playing it. Just about every time I try to watch an ad for double money or for a loan one of a couple things happen. Either it never starts and just has me waste time by clicking the bottom several times, or it makes it half way through the video and stops with no benefit, or the video doesn’t load and the game doesn’t give anything. This is true even on initial start up so I don’t get my earnings from my jail working while I was away. I’ve deleted that app a couple times and reinstalled with no improvement. There are also times where I try to upgrade things and the icons on the foreground to the screen don’t sense that I’m touching them. Instead the room in the background comes up. I also wish there was a way to improve the prisoners mood when they get heated. We basically just have to wait it out. Being able to control when they eat/sleep/shower/and have recreation time would help with game play. Basically if they get under there is nothing you can do but wait for a riot. Like I said, good concept but for now I’ll be deleting the app and playing something different. I might check back in a few months and see if anything has improved..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Recurring bugs and lack of gameplay— If you end a riot, sometimes the screen doesn’t stop being red, so you have to close the app. Sometimes riots say 0 prisoners but there’s a riot happening, so the riot ends but the red screen continues. — duplication glitch. Sometimes it’s good to duplicate your earnings by watching an ad as you to try and get to a building faster. However sometimes it ain’t x2, it’s a stupid duplication. I duplicated like 20k or something and ended up with 36 million. Now there is no real game as I can buy everything. This has happened three times with three different prison levels — there isn’t enough game, really. I said before about completing a level (because of the duplication glitch) so I just had to wait until more prisoners were reformed until I could unlock the next level. There was nothing to do in the prison apart from wait. The developer replied to my review and said I should spend money to buy prisoners— ignoring that I watch a lot of ads for this game already. That doesn’t fix the issue of there not being enough tasks or game, they just want you to pay real money for extras to patch an unfinished and buggy game, which shows the developers priorities. ✓ Close to being a really good gameThe first few levels are brilliant. There are some pathing issues but they don’t have any major impact. The problems start at Alcantranz. In the first sector, it is enormously overpopulated. Can’t fit everyone into the yard, end up feeding half of them at a sitting (56 people, 36 seats but can only have a small number queuing at a time before they turn away and don’t come back). I’m saving up for the second sector and my current sector is maxed, however no matter what you do the prisoners will riot. I feel like this is written in to almost force you to have to stay on the game longer, which I understand, however they have nothing to be angry about! They literally couldn’t have a better prison? Surely that’s one of the main aims of the game?! The second sector in Alcantranz is massively overpriced - it’ll probably take me a month at least to buy it, and when I do, I’d imagine I’ll have the same problems with the first sector. Back then I assumed I’d be playing this more often - but then no more prisons were made. I completed every prison months ago, feels like a year ago. ✓ Ads and bugsThis is a fun game don’t get me wrong I enjoy it very much. This review is just the problems I’ve run into. I don’t mind the way ads are put in the game. No pop up ads or need to watch ads to progress. However the ads I dislike are the ones where I have to click next to go to the next video in the ad. Those are just annoying i watch the ads for the 2x income but it’s just annoying when I can’t click to play an ad and just let the timer run out. I know ads help make money and maybe those make more money but just turn me off from watching any. So if it’s possible to just stick to basic solid 30 second ad I would greatly enjoy that. The bugs I’ve experience are the 2x income award/ timer just going away I leave the app and come back. It like it lose progress. ✓ I can’t progress in the gameI like this game a lot the only problem for me is if I am offline for anymore than 2 hours my prison goes into a riot. I can’t check on a game every hour of the day.. I lost 17 upgraded guards in a 20 prisoner jail because I didn’t go into the game for 3 hours.. sadly, it’s not the first time this has happened. there are things I can forgive.. like sometimes I’ll watch an ad for 15 mins of double profit and sometimes the game won’t give it or when I do comeback into the game, the game won’t let me watch an ad to get benefits on my offline profit.. ✓ Pretty fun but…This game is a lot of fun and I really do like it. The ads are reasonable and I like that I don’t have to spend real world money to succeed in the game. It’s challenging and requires patience. I’ve been playing daily since I downloaded it. My main issue is that the kitchen is buggy. Sometimes the cooks just won’t cook enough food. I have as many cooks as the game allows and have everything in the kitchen completely maxed out and still they’ll make 10 out of the 32 meals they’re supposed to make. It causes my prisoners to be hungry and I end up having riots. It’s frustrating bc there’s nothing I can do to fix it. Sometimes they will make enough food but leave the lunchroom so there’s no one serving the prisoners meaning they don’t eat. Also sometimes the special prisoners (ones with names) will be invisible. I’ll just see the little icon floating above them but thankfully it doesn’t affect gameplay. ✓ Buggy and getting annoying now!I really liked this game but it has lots of bugs which really annoy me as they seem really simple to fix. Upgrading cell furniture makes no difference on income even thought it says it should. If I open the game at the wrong time everyone goes for food but my cooks haven’t done anything or will return from the dining hall without serving anyone. Also the amount food prepared makes no logical sense with the number of prisoners eating, 4 meals can feed 12 people easily!? My kitchen currently provides +5 heath but once people are eating they have received +42 health!? One of the most annoying is that the prisoners beat the cooks to the dining room and then leave because there’s no food, the cooks then turn up with full food and feed the last couple of prisoners with all the others having already left hungry! And another one - on the second level with 48 prisoners, as they queue up for food (before the first even gets to the counter) the ones at the back are turned away because the queue is too long. Max staff, max food and max dining room upgrades and half my prisoners are turned away hungry! These are just a few... Nice game but people will quickly loose interest if nothing makes sense, it all seems a bit random which is really frustrating for something which is supposed to be fairly simple and logical..Version: 0.9.4

Ads aren’t overly annoying, upgrades don’t take too long to achieve within your prisons, and it’s neat to see the stages of each item you’re upgrading. However, it does need a bit of work. It’s fairly easy to fully upgrade your prison so I’ve discovered that I spend lots of time just waiting to reform enough prisoners to go to the next prison. I wish there were reason to go back to my older ones like additions and such but as of now there isn’t. Also, I wish I could set janitors to certain areas to clean because if I’m gone for any amount of time my prison ends up nasty and it takes forever for the janitors to get it all clean because they wander aimlessly and will (for instance) clean a mess in the cell area but walk past three more messes in the same area just to leave the cell area and go clean in the lobby. ✓ It’s okI love an idle game. This ones only ok. The actual game is fun but each prison requires a certain number of reformed prisoners before you can move onto the next prison. The problem is, you complete all upgrades before you’ve even got half the number of reformed prisoners so then there is absolutely nothing you can do, no gameplay, but watch until your reformed prisoner numbers increase. Can see this getting very old very fast. Update - powered through the boredom to get enough reformed prisoners for the third prison (remind me again why I’m doing this for fun?) and now all of my prisoners get released at 7am so often. How is that realistic at all? If I have no prisoners, I’m in negative income but it just seems so ridiculous that every single prisoner would be released on the same day over and over again. ✓ Not good enough for the waitLet’s start with the good. I began playing this game because it was advertised to me frequently and I wanted the ads to go away. I started playing causally and the first prison was pretty well paced and, with the help of watching ads to give you boosts in the game, I was able to get through it quickly. It was fun while it lasted. As for the bad parts of this game, I find the idea of running a prison and making money off inmates to be glorified in a mobile app somewhat wrong. The more I played, the more I didn’t like the idea. Whenever I open my game, I had instant prison riots as if the prisoners couldn’t help themselves and had to riot at every opportunity. I think there should be a cool down on riots every 24 hours because it’s not a good look. Finally, the most flawed part about the gameplay was how slow it is the further you go. The prison I’m on now has been fully upgraded for weeks and I still haven’t met my prisoner quota for a new one. If you wanted to keep me playing, I would extend the one hour afk timer. I can’t imagine checking my phone every hour of the day just to close it because my prison is fully upgraded and I can’t progress in an interactive way. It’s scummy for the game to set the timer so low and put a better timer behind a paywall. For all these reasons, I will be uninstalling..Version: 1.2.1

But...I am annoyed that even though my guards are fully upgraded, hired as many as possible and their equipment is fully upgraded, they still lose 90% of any riots that break out and the government has to intervene. If my guards can’t take on the prisoners, I should be able to upgrade them further until they can! My kitchen is also fully upgraded with as many chefs as possible and the dining room is fully upgraded, but there are prisoners going hungry. ✓ Good but has problemsOkay so I like this game, it’s definitely a good time killer. I’m on the third prison now and I like how each one so far has been a bit different from the last, the designers are very creative. But two things: 1. The rate that prisoners are rehabilitated in the normal prisons is so so so slow. And with only an hour of offline time it takes FOREVER to get to the new prisons. My second prison ended up saving over 30 million dollars because of how long it took to open the next one. There’s literally nothing to do once you upgrade everything unless you pay actual money to get the longer offline time. 2. Every single time, and I mean EVERY TIME, you open the event prison, a riot breaks out and you lose all of your guards and most of your prisoners so you start losing money. My guards are upgraded as much as they can be and I was keeping all of them staffed, but it’s gotten to the point where I only keep a few because I’m wasting the money trying to prevent riots when there’s nothing I can do. The regular prison guards are able to stop riots without a full staff there’s no reason the event ones can’t also..Version: 1.2.1

✓ Great game but a lot of bugsSo on Alcatraz I can’t fit all the prisoners in the cafeteria when the line is too long most of my prisoners just go back too there cell and cause riots some how making the cafeteria bigger with more cooks too serve more people and more tables would fix the problem and on cyber tomb I bought the $30 bundle with all the stuff I just got on cyber tomb it is wayyy too hard for the stuff that I bought I barely make anything a prisoner even with the 150% bonus that is ridiculous it will take me forever too actually get anywhere and considering I spent $30 on a mobile game it should not be that hard make the upgrades more expensive or something but I shouldn’t have too worry with the stuff I bought that I’ll be understaffed with guards bc I can’t afford it too make a profit cyber tomb needs some serious tweaking or I just simply don’t want too play it I can’t even imagine how hard the new one will be it shouldn’t be with the stuff I bought I feel like I wasted my money I couldn’t imagine doing it without the stuff I bought it would be absurd.Version: 2.2.1

And I mean BOTH... the upgrades you get with in game cash to expand the prison AND the real life cash payments you are asked to pay for certain benefits. ✓ Vladistenko PenitentiaryI’ve been playing this game for a while and it’s super fun, but recently I’ve been noticing some bugs occurring in the map mentioned above that’s kind of messing up the gameplay. For starters, several times, sometimes in a row, the chefs will make the food for the prisoners and deliver it to the cafeteria, but then just leave meaning there’s nobody to serve the food. Then I have 32 increasingly angry prisoners close to inciting a riot over something I can’t exactly fix. And another thing is that I can’t leave the game for more than 5 minutes without the prison becoming basically inoperable without me. Even writing this review I’m risking inciting a riot at the prison which has already costed me thousands of in-game dollars and many guards. Last thing is that the “loans” that the game gives you are sometimes inaccurate in money count. Sometimes I’ve watched a 60 second ad thinking I’ll be getting at least $10,000 only to find out I’ve only gotten $3,000. I know that may sound like an exaggeration but it truly is not. The first two problems I’ve never had before and the last one if I remember correctly has been present for a while. I love this game and as of now will continue to play it, but all of these reasons makes the game difficult to enjoy sometimes and if they continue to happen while I progress through the game I may just have to uninstall unfortunately..Version: 2.5.8
✓ GlitchyI loved this game, was totally addicted to it. Then when I got so far it got really glitchy. Now It’s just not worth keeping and will be deleting it which is such a shame as I have had so much enjoyment out of it so far. I’ve had it for well over a year and sad to delete! It seems if you get so far it hinders you from going further unless you buy stuff but when something is so glitchy it puts you off buying add ons. I also find it weird that the nearest problems aren’t assigned to the nearest staff at any given time and inevitably you can find a guard, for example, running from one sector to another to deal with an issue when there is a guard standing present at the issue. ✓ Super dodgy developerI really enjoyed the game and thought I’d add a no ad feature, I don’t mind spending few quid on a game if it’s cool and I’m sticking to it for longer than few hours. I also added +1 hour guard and +50% profits do I’d make more out of limited time competition prisons. And that’s where the whole issue begun- once you add +50% profit, you lose ability to double income by watching an ad, I find this very misleading as there’s not a single word about the fact that after adding “accountant”, player loses very valuable option for 2x income... what’s the point of the “skip the ad” option then? I’m very disappointed and honestly feel like scummed now. I enjoyed the game and for a long time, this was one playable game, unfortunately, as always, it’s completely ruined by the never ending greed of developers and as always, I strongly believe that spending money on mobile games is always a con- no refunds and no any response from devs. If buying something on Steam, you have an option for refund, than on the mobile platform, devs are kinda free to do whatever they want. I’ll try to contact App Store support and see if there’s any chance for a refund, as this is clearly a day time robbery. ✓ Gets boringSecond level was no different than the first one except more cells. You need to watch a lot of ads to make progress quicker (that’s a standard this days so it’s not a reason for low rating) I’ll try to get to third prison and if graphics and upgrades will change I will give more stars otherwise it would be pointless to play any more. Shame that making lots of money in first level doesn’t give you any advantage in the next one. I have upgraded everything in my prison and money is useless after this point . You should be able to buy at least basic cards (available only for gems) with cash you make ... At the start it’s the best to watch enough ads to get one hour x2 cash multiplayer then switch game off and logg back inn after an hour then you’ll get an option to watch an add to double all money gathered during that period (so it’s times 4).Version: 2.2.7
✓ Needs a few fixes for consistencyOverall it's a good game. I like being able to work on maxing out one prison while starting on another, so I still have something to do while waiting for money again in one or the other. The riots do get excessive after a while though. I also have the issue of not getting enough food to the prisoners. I have six chefs and the kitchen is completely maxed out. When I'm actively playing, they all get food. (At the moment there are only sixteen prisoners, so it's not something you would think is hard) When I return to the game, there's never enough food. Before writing this review, I opened the game to see that they only had six meals ready. That's ended up causing a riot almost every time I open the game. The same thing can go for the janitors. They seem to stop working as soon as I leave the game as well, which ends up with everything covered in trash when I come back. I'd consider it a near perfect game if the staff actually continued their jobs while I wasn't playing. Other than that it's pretty entertaining. Edit: The 30 ads don't even give you money. You get the animation showing you've received it, but you haven't. It's also usually only a thousand dollars, which is useless..Version: 2.4.9
✓ Would be better ifI feel like this game would be better if there was less adds, maybe you could add a feature that could give you like 10-50,000 cash for dealing with a riot. The game gets a bit repetitive because as soon as I unlocked level 2 it said it was bigger, which was true, but it was only a little bit bigger and everything looked the same. I would also like if you could keep your money because I recently stopped playing when I found out that I had to completely start over again and I do not have enough time to spend on this game. I like the idea of the game but the difficulty on level one decreased and nothing really happened. The prisoners never rioted again after I maxed all the guard upgrades. Maybe you could add a type of riot that prisoners could obtain guns and start fighting back. ✓ Great game but I would like to see a bit moreIt’s an addicting game but I would like to see a bit more added to the prisons prisoner arrival. Like for Alcantraz, since it’s surrounded by water it would be cool if the transportation vehicle was a helicopter or an aircraft landing. I’m on Alcantraz right now and don’t know what the other transportation vehicles are for cyber tomb and space cooler. ✓ Disappointed- Could have been awesome!I download the game around 4 weeks ago and I paid $50 to upgrade my characters and get gems. I loved the game and so was happy to pay the money to upgrade so I could play without using all my Gems or watching ads but then when half way through a challenge I lost 800 gems when switching prisons. When I emailed for help they said I had to contact them through the in game app, so I left it. Then I finished the game completely and it only took 4 weeks. I have completed all prisons and am accumulating all this money in all of my completed prisons with no way to move forward. I have now spent $50 on a game that I can no longer play as I have completed all prisons. I could still participate in weekly challenges but they are the same two games and any fragments, gems or money I receive is pointless as I can’t spend them as I have completed everything. So now there is nothing left for me to play. Would have downloaded another game by this developer but now I know that I will complete it in 4 weeks and spend money that will ultimately make me unable to continue. ✓ Lots of issuesSome of the issues I’ve noticed have to do with when the prisoners eat. If you have 48 prisoners and the cafeteria can hold 48 of the prisoners, and it’s lunch time there’s always prisoners who turn around and don’t eat. It’s not just 1 or 2 it will be 18 because they don’t want to wait on a line. Also if you leave the game and come back you’ll find the cooks don’t make the full amount of meals. If you have 48 prisoners and you leave or return at the wrong time your cooks will only sometimes cook 14-18 of the 48 required meals. Then there is the janitors. I’m not sure why but it doesn’t take 14 Janitors to deliver 4 carts of clean clothing. The janitors all stop cleaning at 4am to deliver clothes meanwhile only 3-4 of them will grab the carts, so the prison is a mess because the game tells all janitors at this time that they are required to go to the laundry room. By the time half of them are even on there way back all the carts are grabbed and on there way to the cell blocks. It’s a waste of time for all janitors to stop what they are doing for something 3-4 can handle. Overall the game is fun there’s lot of issues with what the characters are doing..Version: 2.2.1
✓ Fun game but really needs the kinks worked outThis game is a lot of fun compared to many idle games. However there’s a few issues that unfortunately drag it down. 1) The 1 hour time that the prison runs without input is pretty stingy, 3-4 would be more reasonable as a minimum for a ftp player in my opinion. 2) Whenever you move between prisons or open the game all the visuals reset which means the normal functions of the prison stop. For example if you enter the game during a meal there will be 0 meals prepared so prisoners go hungry and potentially riot. 3) This is my biggest pet peeve! Even with the canteen, kitchen and number of cooks maxed out, once you get to the higher numbers of prisoners the canteen can’t cope. The queue area isn’t long enough so half or more of the prisoners are turned away even though there’s food waiting for them. It’s really aggravating that half the prison goes hungry and there’s nothing you can do as a player to fix it. If the developers sort these issues out it would definitely be a 5 star game but unfortunately they are bad enough to significantly affect gameplay as it is..Version: 2.2.3

✓ Was interesting until it wouldn’t let me back inSo I completed the first prison and was starting on the second. However, the app stopped working when I tried to open it. I have tried everything from deleting the app and installing it again, closing the app in my open files and even tried to see if using my data or another internet connection would help but it always doesn’t pass the loading page. ✓ Love this but...I really do love this game. It is challenging like none other. I’ve plaid other idles by the same group and they are good, but this one is so much better. The one thing that FULLY irks me is the cafeteria and kitchen. My kitchen is fully upgraded and can feed 64 inmates. The whole facility can hold 98 inmates. They get angry if they can’t eat, and the kitchen can’t make enough food even though it’s fully upgraded. And I’m top of that, if the line is too long in the cafeteria, they inmates won’t eat. So every meal I have at least 5 that get turned away because the line was too long. Put those together and you got angry inmates faster than you can count. There was another review complaining about the inmates throwing riots after logging back in every single time. This is sooooo frustrating because it’s an idle game, you should be able to leave for a couple hours and not have to worry about all of your guards getting killed and you inmates being taken away. I have my guard room upgraded fully but when I log back in after being gone for an hour there is a riot and at least 20 of them get killed. Inmates = money and money = guards. I can’t have inmates without guards and I can’t have guards without inmates. I am willing to change my review if things are fixed. But until then..Version: 2.2.7
✓ RiotsPlease fix the bugs. I have my prison running so smoothly...when I’m actively playing. For some reason though if I leave the game for even 20 minutes I come back to a filthy prison, the cooks only serving 3 servings even though I have my kitchen upgraded and enough staff to make food for all the prisoners, and my prison with be seconds away from riot that kills all my guards. The game also glitches with time. I can be building something and come back an hour later and the time for building is still at what is was an hour ago. I actually really like this game. I appreciate that it doesn’t force you to watch adds but simply allows you to watch them for bonuses. The game play is pretty good though I wish we could control the schedule of the prison ourselves or click on individual prisoners/staff to see how they are doing rather than giving the prisoners averages. The cleaning crew and the guards also just kinda bumble around. Like sometimes a janitor will just walk right past trash or if there is a fight a guard on the other side of the prison will run to it rather than the guard standing literally right there. So I wish we could maybe control the staff a little bit. Mostly though I just want the glitches fixed..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Enjoyable but buggyGreat game, and I love the concept, but boy does it need some work. The game crashes frequently, which seems to be getting worse as I have progressed. Additionally the frequency of facing a riot ten seconds after I have just logged on is becoming a problem, this seems to be triggered by the lack of available food for the prisoners, but it happens nearly every time I open the game. Additionally the guards need more work, a fight can be breaking out next to a guard while he stands there and does nothing, meanwhile a guard runs from the other side of the prison to try and stop it. ✓ Have great potential but too many crashesI have iphone 6 and the game constantly crash either midgame or in the midst of watching ads. The worse thing is after the crash, usually none of my upgrades or changes get saved.
