✓ Attention to different design features, different to other clientsI know the developer’s work from their Mast for Mastodon app. They have an eye for design and ability to customise that is very welcome. ✓ Great iPadOS AppEDIT: Looks like this has been fixed. Had to update! :) This is a great app, don't get me wrong, but there is one problem that's been bugging me. First, this bug is on the iPadOS app. So, whenever I click a tweet that has an image/video in it, it displays the image, obviously, but when I click another tweet that doesn't have an image/video, it still shows the previous media file from the last tweet I clicked. The image blocks the tweet actions, like liking, retweeting, etc. That's the only problem I have, otherwise, great app!.Version: 1.0.40
✓ Absolutely great appI have been using Aviary for a while now and I just want to say that I have not had any issues with the app. It is well-designed, easy to use, and the developer is extremely helpful with any feedback. Don’t blindly believe the negative reviews. A lot of the complaints I have seen are things that the dev has NO CONTROL over, like the Twitter API. ✓ Very Clean iOS Focused Twitter ClientI really like apps that make an effort to look like a part of the iOS ecosystem and this app does it really well. Really like the minimalist approach. The stock Twitter app is full of ads, timeline “features”, etc. Aviary focuses on user content and only shows relevant info when needed...you know, like tweets! There are still bugs I experience (like losing all my saved tweets) but there is active development going on so I have to give dev time. ✓ Fantastic, but….Aviary has issues with loading comments for tweets, and I can’t properly see threads. For the iPad version, can we have the ability to remove/move columns? There are some columns that i can’t get rid of/change like the Metions/RTs/Quotes one. ✓ Well done!Overall, I love this app. It truly feels like it was made for iOS 14! Small bugs I’ve noticed: a tweet will sometimes have the incorrect contact inside the tweet on the timeline when compared to the regular Twitter app. I saw a tweet from one of my favorites follows that seemed odd so I went to the regular native Twitter app to check things and the content was wrong and from another Twitter profile. ✓ Great App with Great PotentialThis twitter client will feel the most at home with iOS. It’s beautiful, has the right design language, and has got some clever features like swiping on a tweet to reveal tools to interact. This app gets 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s not perfect and some of the UX is a little confusing. It will get better. I’ve already spoken with the developer with feedback and his responses made me confident this app will get to 5 stars in no time..Version: 1.0
✓ Very customisableThe sheer number of settings available in this app is impressive. You can really get your Twitter app set up just the way you like it. The main issue I have that’s deducting a star from my rating is that the app doesn’t seem to have had any accessibility work done on it. You aren’t able to specify image descriptions when posting a tweet (which is part of Twitter’s API) and reading the timeline with Voiceover is a poor experience. Buttons are just called “Button”. Decorative images aren’t marked as such so you get the file names read out for the icons etc. It’s all fixable stuff, and it’s clear that the developer is very passionate about the app from what I’ve used of it so far, so I’m sure it will be fixed. Overall the app is a pleasure to use. Notifications are useless really but that’s because Twitter doesn’t have an API for that. Looking forward to future updates. Good work!.Version: 1.0.26

Much better than the official Twitter app with a depth of features you won’t find elsewhere, much of them I probably won’t even use! ✓ Revised review!I’ll leave my initial review down below, but I stuck with it, and the developer has really improved the app. Widgets are working great. I don’t really use it for most of the other features, I mainly use the widget on my home screen and select it when a new tweet arrives. Does what I want it to do. This app tries to do waaay too much. All I want is to see my feed in a widget, and it can’t do that—telling me to open the app and i can see my feed. The app is open, nothing is showing up. I’ve tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, logging in again to my Twitter feed, nada. Sorry I wasted 4 bucks on this app..Version: 1.0.129
✓ Gap loading is acting oddWhenever I click to load tweets in a gap, my timeline always go back at least twenty tweets. There are times when I open the app after a while and it goes right to the top of the timeline. I’d love to see some consistency and better loading here. A couple of features and it will be among the best. - Add double tap home icon to go to first read tweet then double tap again to go to most current unread tweets. ✓ A Twitter Client With TasteWhen an app like this comes along you always expect a standard of what it does, this app far exceeds that standard. Avery really brings a whole bag of features and improvements and even small touches around the UX that brings a smile on my face. From the haptics to the “feel” of the app I really love it. For me personally I find it hard to use 3rd party apps because of the companies that treat them as second class citizens and the API have many limitations that nerf apps like this from working with a full feature set. I love supporting developers that take that leap of faith and sink god knows how many hours to make a product like this. Yes it has it faults but everything does. ✓ Nice Twitter app, seems to keep improving!I’ve been using Tweetbot for my iOS Twitter app for a few years now, and decided to give this app (Aviary) a try after reading on Twitter that it’s on sale. Thought it would be nice to use a different app for perhaps a different experience, and with the lower sale price, I decided to take the plunge and give it a try. So far I do like it, and I especially like the different app icon choices. ✓ The Apollo variant of TwitterI’ve been using Aviary as my main Twitter app for some time now, and I grew to fall in love with it. The UI which reminds me of Apollo is part of the reason why I use it as my main Twitter app the other part is just how fluid and clean the app looks from the app icon to the app itself it shows how much the developer cared about the design of the app and to make it as if Apple created the app itself! While it’s not perfect I do have issue trying to use the app on my Apple Watch Series 3 where it won’t let me log in and they’re still some things I would love to see added in future builds assuming the Twitter API allows it, but at the end of the day I plan on keeping with Aviary for all my Twitter needs and can’t wait to see where it’ll be a year from now!.Version: 1.0

✓ Fantastic Twitter AppThis is a very well made and modern Twitter client, which has much fantastic functionality. It takes advantage of many iOS features, and feels extremely natural for the system, much like the Apollo Reddit client. It also takes advantage of many Twitter features, and has a lot that I haven’t seen in other clients, including a ridiculous amount of customization options. Like Apollo, the developer is extremely active, issuing fixes and new features almost daily in response to feedback. The one feature that I don’t believe it has at the time of writing this (unless I missed it) is the ability to sync the timeline position between devices via iCloud. I could really use this feature as I go between my iPhone and iPad during the day. Can’t wait for the Mac app! (C’mon, Apple!).Version: 1.0.68

✓ Moved from TweetBot!I was one of the lucky people who got this on free day. I downloaded it and have been using it since. This is a highly impressive app on both the iPhone and iPad. I use my iPad Pro 12.9 as my daily device and the fact that version is customised to suit the iPad is great. The amount of setting, features and options is impressive. ✓ Would be my main Twitter app if it did one thing differently.This is Avery clean Twitter app and I would love for this to be my main Twitter app. The only issue I have is when someone posts a link it doesn’t show the preview thumbnail. It will show it if you click on the tweet for more information though. An example of this is on the 9to5 Mac Twitter account. ✓ UI needs improvementTwitter clients are all the same at the end of the day and separate themselves with UI. This one has quite a lot of customizability but some things need fixing. You can change the app icon, but half of the icons face the opposite direction to when you open the app. You can change the accent color but not the text color or background color. You can make the pictures small and non-obtrusive but, they can’t be clicked on because the share icon blocks them. (Please fix this one) You can only have 1 custom tab and you have to hold down to change it, which is slightly annoying. And finally, the like counter doesn’t go up when you click the like button. The Apple Watch app most needs slight improvement too. You can’t enlarge photos or reload the feed..Version: 1.0.96

✓ Feature Rich AppThis is a really good twitter application. I had been using my previous Twitter Client for several years, but having come across the Developer prior to releasing this application I was interested with what was being proposed. I have not been disappointed. This is an excellent app that the Developer is regularly updating and adding really good features making use of new iOS 14 features and it is very customisable. The widgets work well with both my iPad Pro and iPhone.
