Great workouts but…I am 4 months postpartum and just started these workouts a month ago and I’m already seeing some results! I love the workouts but there are a few problems with the app. It doesn’t seem to count “live” workouts towards your total workouts. This is frustrating because I do 5 a week but it doesn’t look like I do. It can be glitchy at times and switch pages on you instead of letting you scroll through workouts. Last & most important to me is that you cannot use apple airplay to show on your tv. There is no reason why this can’t be developed for the app- please please consider this. All in all I still highly recommend the app if you can look past the format and I’m sure they will fix these things eventually (I hope lol)..Version: 7.1.0

AMAZING!I love this app and grow with Jo YouTube channel, her workouts have changed the game for me. I enjoy doing them so much and look forward to completing one every day! User friendly!The interface for this app is great!! It’s easy to enter you data and use! If you struggle with figuring out what a good substitution for a meal or specific food item would be, this app makes it soooo easy!! It’ll give you options for you to still stay in your macros! Love love love!The updates and improvements that have been made recently has been a huge game changer for me!! I love the variety of workouts that are available, Jo’s YT style is in there, there are more structured workouts, the cardio, strength training, the pre-release YT videos, the Lives have become a favorite and the challenges have been so much fun!! There meal plans, meditating, so much that I have yet to check out but I appreciate having a “one stop shop” kind of hub for my self care, it’s made a big positive difference in my growth. The best fitness app!Jo’s workouts are the only ones that I’ve ever enjoyed! I hate working out, but Jo makes it fun. I actually look forward to doing it. It doesn’t feel like mindless movements. I’m super sore so I know it’s working well for my body, too! I’m only in my second week, so I can’t speak for long term results yet, but I absolutely love this app. It is well worth the subscription cost. On top of the workouts, I love the meal plans. It has a built in grocery list which I love. I’m a busy mom of 7 and this app has made healthy eating and exercise so easy. My kids even love the food and workouts! Finally, I love that it has the option for intermittent fasting, vegetarian meal plans, and other accommodations based on skill level/ability. 10/10 recommend..Version: 7.1.0

Love this app!There’s mixed feelings about this app, but I personally love it! If you’re coming from her YouTube videos and expecting the app workouts to be the same, they’re not. I was relatively new to Grow with Jo and had only done a couple of her videos before I decided to subscribe to the app (took advantage of her Black Friday deal) so I didn’t know what to expect. I love how there’s full workout programs, on demand single workouts, meal plans, a cookbook, meditation/sleep sounds (I use these every night), a water tracker and badges you can earn. I’ve been testing this app for two weeks and the only complaint I have is if you miss a scheduled workout it automatically skips to the next one the following day. You’re still able to go back and do them but I wish they wouldn’t automatically move on. I’ve tested so many fitness apps but this one is by far my fav and I’ve stopped looking for something better.Version: 7.5.0

AmazedI honestly can’t believe how good this app is and how little people know about it? This is probably one of the best apps to use if you’re wanting to change to a healthy life style. Not only does it give single workouts, there’s workout programs you can do, intermittent fasting timer, a meal plan catered to you and a full on shopping list that can instantly be added to your instacart app so you don’t have to take the time to shop. How freaking cool is that?! Im speechless. This is so amazing and the subscription is totally worth it..Version: 6.0.2

Amazing AppGrow With Jo’s workouts are incredible!! There’s so much choice within the app and the different workouts are amazing. You can choose to follow a set programme for a number of weeks but I absolutely love the individual training sessions to pick as and when! I’m not one to stick to things but the variety has made this so easy to stick to, I absolutely love it! I am over the moon with the difference this has made already (6lbs down in 1 month) through these workouts and the nutrition tips! Love hate relationship 😅I absolutely love everything about the app except that I can’t put in meals that aren’t on the app. Like sometimes we don’t have a million different things in our pantry so we have to make due. Of course I still measure my portions just wish I could track impromptu meals on the app too. I am learning new recipes and falling in love with them too but sometimes mama wants a greasy cheeseburger that I can pick up from somewhere. But I can’t track it on the app 😞.Version: 3.1.3

Happy but why an age limitI was very happy with this app but my daughter wanted to sign up but there was a 18+ limit so she couldn’t. In my preference there shouldn’t have to be an age limit so people as young as 10 can start working out because it makes them feel comfortable at school especially overweight kids. Love this app!!Love the app, super easy to navigate and has any workout you could think of. Been following the meals within the app and omg the recipes are amazing!! The meals leave you satiated, not longing for more. The only thing I wish was you could tweak how many people you are serving. The meals are single portion meals so when cooking for more than one you need to do some math to get it right. Other than that, I got nothing to complain about! Love this app!I have been using this app for 5 months now and I LOVE it! The meal plan is easy to use and I love that I can adjust to what I want or like and then it makes a grocery list I can check off! The workout programs are varied and so fun! There were some kinks in the app as they have been improving it but every issue I had was fixed quickly and well! I love this app! Love This App!!I started doing growwithjo workouts about a year ago on YouTube and absolutely loved them! I started while in my second trimester of being pregnant and loved how fun and doable the workouts were! I wanted to dig deeper in my postpartum fitness journey and joined the growwithjo app in October of 2022 and have already been down 14lbs! Jo is so encouraging and relatable! After having a c section myself and hearing her postpartum fitness journey, it really encouraged and inspired me! I love how she has included more of her fun at home without videos on the app, she includes live workouts, personal meal plans, encouraging podcasts, encouraging reads (I love how she includes scriptures for encouragement!), and I love how her and her husband work together! Great appI got this app for the workout programs. They are great. I don't like a lot of talking but I do like a quick step by step guide and these workout programs are great at doing that. The lives are nice and the pre recorded workouts are also great. But I really liked the workout programs. Although, the programs are not customizable. If I skip a day I can't move the program over by a day. It would be nice if you could adjust it. Also, once a program is started you can't change the start date. so if I miss too many days I can't just start the program all over again..Version: 7.3.1

This app is great but…When I first got this app, I was amazed at how Jo seemingly thought of everything! Especially when it comes to the meal plan(you can make substitutes for different ingredients & and create a grocery list based on said meal plan) The workout part was great to start off with. I was able to airplay the exercises to my TV but eventually I lost that capability. I don’t know if this was due to an update, but I have to screen share from my phone to my TV. If this feature could be integrated in the app I’d give it 5 starts.Version: 7.3.1

Love these workouts and the appMy only suggestions is possibly being able to search for key terms or filters. I have terrible knees so I have to open each workout individually to see which ones I can or cannot do. Also maybe a way to favorite or save ones I like to do over and over or am curious about and would like to come back to later. Otherwise this is by far the best workouts there is for every level of fitness. Jo is the only instructor who’s made it so I stick with working out and enjoy it..Version: 3.1.2

I love Jo! There could be a few things added to this app.I love Jo and I’m glad I got the app on the recent Black Friday sale cause before it was kinda pricey. But I wish there was the ability to cast to your TV or chromecast etc. I workout from home and this would make it so much better to be able to see the videos on my tv rather than iPad or iPhone. Just a suggestion. Also maybe try integrating the videos with the app so download times aren’t as long. Other than the app is great and friendly UI. I love there is a meal plan given to you if you need ideas on healthier meals, and that you can filter the workout programs to find one that works for you faster. This has kept me consistent.I’ve been using this app for eight months now and it’s been the only thing I’ve been able to be consistent with for that long in 10 years. Although I haven’t lost any weight (which I honestly don’t expect when I can’t do anything about my diet right now due to finances) but I’ve gained a lot of strength and definitely gained a routine and motivation. That is almost worth more at this point because my self-esteem has gone through the roof just by taking care of myself daily. So thank you thank you thank you. Also being able to share my workout results every day with my best friend has kept me accountable and motivated her to start working out herself. I have had to modify a few exercises for my diastasis recti, but a little Google research gives me some good alternatives so that I can just continue with the work out while substituting here and there. Worth the moneyI downloaded the app and purchased a year subscription thinking it was all gym workouts. I was wrong. The workouts are all home workouts. So I’ve changed my workout regime. Gym for lifting in the morning and cardio at home on my lunch. I love the walking workouts and the Tabata abs workout! I use the app on my tablet most of the time! I think the app is user friendly. I haven’t had any problems downloading the workouts. I have 2 complaints. The eating plan is kind of, not my cup of tea. I would love to be able to track my macros in the app and eat what i want. Second, I’d like more walking workouts that are for an advanced level. I love love love the walking and kick boxing workouts!! If i could track my macros in the app and if there were more walking advanced walking workouts-I’d give it 5 stars! I love the app!.Version: 3.1.2

Love the App! Except..I downloaded the app a couple weeks ago and I am loving it so far! I’ve never been able to keep up with exercising and this app is really helping. My only wish is that the app would stop asking me to record my weight and measurements. As someone who struggles immensely with body image issues, I have found it can be incredibly damaging to track weight and measurements. I understand that it can help track progress, and that it may be a great feature for some. However, I would highly recommend giving users the ability to turn those notifications off..Version: 2.1.3

Great for Moms!I’m a mom of 3 (4 and under). To say it’s a struggle to get a workout it and know that it’s working or monitor my progress on my own is a bit of understatement. I’m so thankful for this app! I appreciate that it has easy to hard levels, body weight only and options using dumb bells. She even has a pregnant workout program. So thankful for the well rounded thought process for this app. Also, the layout is very pleasing to my eyes, it’s easy to use, and share & monitor my progress. So thankful! Love most things about the app, except just a few…Loving the app! I love how you can stream your own playlist and hear your favorite music while following along. The app is easy to navigate, and you can choose workouts by lengths, body areas, types of equipment, or your favorite trainer. But it needs just a few tweaks iMO. I would like to be able to choose a program and not have to pick my workout days. I have an unpredictable schedule in healthcare and I would miss some. I wanted to go back and actually complete that workout, but you’re not able to do so. Then if you choose a single workout to make up for that one you missed, it doesn’t show in the calendar on the app. So I’ve just been completing the live ones, or single workouts, but they don’t show on the calendar. I’m very visual and I’d love to be able to see those. Also, some of the workouts I really, really liked. It would be nice to be able to either star them or make a favorites list..Version: 7.3.1

Beginner friendlyLiking it so far! I like that it’s really customizable. The only thing I have an issue with is that the audio descriptions of the work outs are different from the clip shown. Ex: clip was “reverse snow Angel” audio described a standing workout. The encouragements are also a bit bothersome because of the AI voice. All in oneIf I could just critique a couple of things, it would be to be able to search for certain recipes, like sauces, and being able to just search up a particular dumbbell workout. But other than that, it’s everything I would ever want in an app. Instead of having five apps, I only need this one. Finally found my app….I am brand new to purchasing the yearly subscription, but was doing lots of the free you tube workouts up until now. I am in love so far with the app. I really like that I can put music to the workouts. Just wish I had an Apple Watch, my Fitbit Versa doesn’t sync with the app. Maybe that’s something that you guys can make happen in the future? Would also like to see the meal tracker be more flexible, and be able to track other foods you are eating instead of the pre planned meals. Don’t get me wrong some of those are fabulous. Maybe a nutrition calculator of some sort? Another suggestion I would love to see some gym workouts. For those of us that enjoy going to the gym. Love GWJ!I’ve tried many apps over the years and have to say I love this app, along with FitOn app. (I use FitOn for recipes and yoga) This app has mostly everything I need. I didn’t think I would use the meditations or sleep sounds but I do- and I love the faith based meditations! Im 36, but I have been struggling with chronic inflammation and chronic fatigue for years and her exercises don’t cause my symptoms to flare up… they actually help calm them down. Most workouts make me so exhausted but hers make me feel more energized and I feel better the next day, not like I was hit by bus. I haven’t tried the recipes yet, the app seems too complicated for me. I’d rather have categories and just pick them out individually instead of trying to create a meal plan. I still give this app 5 stars because I love Jo and her workouts. You can tell she’s put alot into this app. She’s an inspiration and has helped me love my body instead of forcing it to be a certain size and shape..Version: 7.3.0

Keep Growing JoYour workouts have been so great for my situation. As someone who works from home and also has epilepsy I almost am never able to lose weight. After my daughter was born I was the biggest I had ever been. These workouts are so beginner friendly and low impact and for the workout moves I cannot do it's super easy to replace with one of the moves I can do during that time. Love it!!I love the app! It’s perfect for home workouts and beginners like me. It helped me get into a beginner strength routine and I love that I can link my music to it so easily!! 3 months in…I love the grow with jo app. I wanted it so that I could follow the monthly challenges, however I’ve discovered that I can build my diet and my shopping list as I need. Recently the app has introduced single workouts to go along aside a program or just to do as you please, this has been the best bit for me, I love having a go at something in the muscle build section and I’ve found that I’ve pushed myself so much more since this addition. Obsessed is an understatement!Jo, you have truly created the easiest, user friendly workout app. I just open the app, choose my plan (or single workout if I’m out of town) and boom…I’m working out in the comfort of my own home or even in a hotel room/airbnb. The app is easy to navigate and has beginner, intermediate and advanced workouts (easy, medium, hard). I’m just now restarting my fitness journey since Covid…put on almost 60 pounds that I’m not proud of but, I plan to stay dedicated to the GrowwithJo app, my self and my future children. Magic Energy!I cannot express how much I enjoy JO! I have never liked working out at home because of the lack of competition with myself. But then I found Jo 🖤 and her sunshiney self! Improvements: 1. The few things I would like to see updated with the app is a nutritional calculator so I am able to enter my own nutrition versus only using the suggestions of the app which do not serve me as I am a vegan and vegetarian is the only option. 2. More interaction with members and challenges in the app. 3. A way to project the app workout to the TV or bigger screen. AMAZING!!I love this app. I don’t do reviews bc they are annoying to me. However, this app is WAY more than I expected, so I had to do a review bc of how impressed I am by it. I bought it during the Black Friday deal, and honestly, I would have paid full price after knowing what I know. So many different options available, amazing for “quiet,” non-jumping workouts that are actually fun. My favorite, favorite parts of the app though are the devotionals and the Scripture. I had no idea they were on there, and I am so impressed and grateful that they are. Normally fitness apps can be a little New Age and that’s typically off putting for me. Great classes, but…Disclaimer: I’ve used the app for only a day, so it might be that my experience was because I didn’t give it enough time. My opinion: If you know how to do exercise poses correctly and have a budget for a fitness app, try it! Jo’s smile is contagious! It is still a 5 stars app, but if I can give a few feedbacks: ** it would be great to have a 7 or 14 days free trial ** is there a ‘search’ button for workouts? Couldn’t find it.. ** would be great if trainers showed an easier option for some exercises ** where are my beloved jo’s dancing classes? I will definitely download it again in the future, once I have learnt how to do the various poses correctly. But for now, it’s a no. As they don’t have a free trial, I went for the 1 month package as I wanted to check it out and I am happy to support such amazing project anyway. I have used GrowWithJo dancing classes over and over again, so the 1 month I paid was peanuts compared to the value I get from her! (She’s amazing, check her on youtube) Back to the app: The classes are made professionally and I can see they have put a lot of work into it, but I feel they are geared towards more experienced fitness people. The workouts are hard to do and there is no explanation on an easier method if you are a beginner as me. There was also a meal planner thingy that seems well made, but I have never used it as I am Italian and here we eat plenty of veggies anyway..Version: 6.0.1

Glitches!Let me start by saying that I LOVE this app! However, it’s increasingly frustrating when the app freezes for no reason as all. The video will pause but the timer will keep going. Also, almost every time that I work out with the app and have my Apple Watch connected, it will add additional calories burned! For example, I was working out today and was at 224 calories burned and at some point it doubled that number to 448! Sometimes it will say that I burned over 1,000 calories when I just started a workout! It’s very frustrating and I usually have to restart the workout to fix the problem. Besides the glitches, I love the app! Hoping that they get fixed in the near future!.Version: 3.2.2

Life-changing app, thank you so much Jo & team!Cannot say enough about how good this app is or how incredible Jo & her team are. I have been SO blessed by their work from the fitness to the food to the faith based balance tab. Absolutely life changing! I have lost over half a stone in 8 weeks with not much effort really at all. I have done a few workouts (I intend to do more - because they’re really easy, fun, life-giving and mood-boosting) but I have been away and ill during my 8 weeks so far) but I have stuck to the eating plan (except on holiday) so I’m really pleased with my weight loss and lots of people have noticed I have lost weight too. I haven’t felt food deprived because the amazing meals are balanced in such a way you don’t get hungry between meals and the app has this great feature where you can swap out an ingredient for another if you need and it gives you the exact amount that is the equivalent, so that’s really helpful. Love it! The diet has changed mine and my families lives, we eat so much more nutritious, fresh, tasty food now, we all feel so much better for it. I make the same food for my family but adjust the portions and I can feel the difference the meals are having on us. They are really realistic to achieve with not too many ingredients or steps to cook. The recipes are delicious with ingredient-combining-genius that makes me feel like I’m not even on a diet most of the time! They taste so good! The faith based tab in the ‘Balance’ section of the app has so blessed me too, so much inspirational truth to help me through the highs and lows of day to day. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!Of all of the Fitness apps I have ever downloaded including Nike plus this is my favorite. I love the options for the diet as well as the balance features. The workouts are extremely challenging but also something you’re able to do at any level. I like the fact that you can choose between short medium and long workouts. I also love the tracking feature so that you can track your weight loss and inches.Version: 2.0.1

Worth It!I love this app! I love the flexibility of the meals (choosing changes or substitutions) and I love having a workout available at my fingertips!I open my pandora app and play my choice of music while doing her workouts that do not have music. 10/10I love this app! The gym that I go to is 30 minutes away, so I would only go on the days I was off work- which wasn’t enough for what my goals needed. It’s motivated me to workout after work, which usually I would’ve never done. I’ll do 2 workouts usually and burn about 400 calories & it goes by so fast. Even when you don’t have energy after a day at work, it’ll put me in a good mood. It’s nice to be able to get a good workout in at home when you don’t feel like being social too lol. Grow with Jo made me love exerciseI started working out with Jo when I found her on YouTube, I loved her workouts so I bought the app and did her big booty tight tummy program, I absolutely loved it, so easy to follow along to, I screen mirror it onto my tv. I love being able to choose a single workout daily or start another program She has great healthy recipes ideas for when your not sure what you should be eating. I have clocked up over 200 workouts in the app and will continue working out with Jo. I love that I don’t need to leave my house or pay expensive gym memberships. Love JoI feel like the app is a work in progress.. the workouts don’t always automatically switch to the next one, it gets stuck and I have to manually skip to the next workout.. hopefully that can get fixed, and one workout said it was with dumbbells and turns out no dumbbells were used.. still great workout though. Hopefully this feedback helps improve the app. I do love Jo and her personality shines through. The YouTube videos feel more like I’m working out with my bestie, and I think that’s part of what keeps people coming back, maybe Jo can integrate a little more of that bestie feel to the app workouts? Awesome and complete fitness appI have looked into so many apps, programs, routines, everything you can imagine and this is so far the most complete app for your fitness goals. From all the workouts to the meal plan with options to change the food, Jo thought about everything when the app was designed. Workouts are easy to follow, love the timer that it is included. AMAZING!!! Can’t download workouts sometimesI absolutely love this app. I love that I am able to play my own music, there is encouragement when the set I’m doing is almost done, there are in depth descriptions of the workouts I’m about to do, etc. the ONLY issue I have is that I haven’t been able to download or play my workouts for about a week and a half. There are some days where it works smoothly and others where I can’t do anything. I know it’s no fault of the app or of Jo, it’s just frustrating when I’m looking forward to a guided workout and I can’t even download them. I’ve deleted the app, turned off my wifi, restarted my phone, I even got a new phone a few days ago (unrelated lol) and still face the same problems. :( still absolutely a 5 star app!!! Just want to know if there’s anything I can do to fix this.Version: 2.0.0

Finally!! An App that I am sticking withThis has been the best overall app I have found, the Grow with Jo App. It’s motivating, encouraging, rejuvenating and FUN! It has been the best App to keep me going. I love that it has programs I can choose from or just single workouts. The food plans with the recipes are awesome. The videos showing how to make a recipe is brilliant and of course Jo who is always so vibrant doing the exercises along with you is great. Her and her team motivate to keep moving and I need that. AMAZING!!!!!!!I have tried so many different workout platforms such as Peloton and Apple fitness and I must say… I’ve never been so happy and felt so good after a workout. After working in an office and not working out for almost three years, the transition of each one of these exercises it’s just on point! It is perfect!!!!!! Pretty good appI love that this app has all kinda of features other than just workouts. I like the uniqueness of the workouts and that there are different types to choose from. I don’t like that if you choose a program and you miss a day or want to go back and do one of the previous days again you can’t anymore. You used to be able to but it’s changed now. It makes me not want to keep the app because if you are human and miss a day you have to choose a whole new program or do a workout that isn’t in your program just to make up for the day you missed.
