✓ Just amazingI was literally shocked that it was coming to mobile. I have been playing this game on the ps2 and now, I can play on my phone! The game itself looks AMAZING! Game runs smoothly, graphics are great, and it just fun to play. Touch controls are easy to use but I recommend using a controller for a better experience. My phone (iPhone 8) does get hot when playing. I recommend to lower your graphics, but other than that, I’m just glad that I finally can play my favorite childhood game on the go. ✓ Runs better than I had thought + impressionsSurprisingly, the game runs better on mobile platforms compared to Nintendo Switch. Overall, the whole experience is just as crisp and smooth like the original game that released in 2003. Satisfying platforming physics and combat, nice interactions and great challenge make this a worthwhile experience. If you’re going to go into this game thinking it is a real remake, then you will be left disappointed, since it is really just the old game with an HD paint job. Overall, it is still a very enjoyable experience and I honestly think it is still the best Spongebob game in existence. I do have a few suggestions though, one is having an option for a fixed camera mode and the other is being able to customize button layouts on screen. ✓ Fantastic job, just needs the patches from console and PC versionsReally well made mobile version of the game, but I noticed that the patches that were added to the console and PC versions like refighting bosses, Mr. Krabs’s shiny object requirements being lowered, and the theatre having actual concept art in it are not in this version. ✓ A fantastic and faithful remake.If you got kids that like Spongebob or you’re a sad adult like myself, this game is perfect for you. It’s a game that has it’s challenges but it’s too difficult overall at all and has a lot of fun to be had. It’s got a great story and it’s written in a way that is very reminiscent of classic Spongebob Squarepants. The game is visually stunning and plays beautifully on newer hardware (played on iPad Air 2020) and the touch controls are surprisingly good and responsive. Be sure to fiddle with graphics settings before you jump in to get it looking best on your device. The ONLY gripe I have is a technical one, and that’s the texture pop in. The level of detail changes are very noticeable in grass especially on “Epic”. This is no reason at all to skip this game as it still looks very very good. I played the original version when I was a kid and this game stuck with me all this time. Played the PS4 remaster version on a PS5 and it’s strange to say that this version holds up wonderfully... and it supports controller! Overall, just buy it. It’s a lot of fun and a FULL console game on mobile that costs under half the price with absolutely nothing left out..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Reliving my Childhood on a phone is so epic!I never got the release of this game for my Xbox one but I ended up preordering this version since I just got my iPhone 12 Pro Max as well as my Elite Series 2 with a Moga phone clip that connects my phone and controller together. This combination allows for the most epic of gaming experiences, like playing this game or even COD mobile. Let me tell you how amazed I am with how good this game is and how polished it is on this port! Handy games I gotta HAND (ba dum tsss) it to ya eh. ✓ A really well done mobile port than its Nintendo cousinI’m a big fan of Spongebob and this game. I was on the Hype Train of its release and seen the bumpy development of its releases, I of course owned the PC port, very superior than the Console release. But what really surprises me is that this Port on mobile blows away the switch port in so many levels. Getting a stable 60FPS and the gift of the iPhones beautiful display. ✓ Great Mobile PortHandy Games has done a excellent job porting this console game that running Unreal Engine 4 to mobile device. At first I was be worry about this port going to end up like the switch version. But I can say this version is better then the switch version. This mobile port runs and look better then the switch version. If you looking for a portable version of BFBBR definitely pick up this version of the game over the switch. It at a great price. The game had everything that the other version do beside the weak multiplayer and this version has a graphic options that the PC version still doesn’t have yet. If you an Apple TV 4k user, you can run this on epic resolution and antialiasing while the rest on medium and get a great looking game at a Solid 60fps If you an IPhone XR,XS,XSMax or IPad Air 3, you can run this on epic everything and get a solid 60fps The only issue I’ve noticed is the shading and lighting are a downgrade to the other version and there are some weird shadows on some objects that none existent on the other version. A major issue is iCloud save will not transfer over to other devices. Or will crash the game when saving on a save file that has been saved on another device..Version: 1.0.5
✓ Please read my whole review! (NEEDS AN UPDATE)On the goo lagoon level where you reach mr. Krabs. The 3 moving tiki heads is bugged, if you jump on them your hit box is toooooo big and knocks you straight off, and if that doesn’t kill you. The BUG where you jump on the first one instantly kills you and plays the death scene even though YOU DIDNT TOUCH ANYTHING!!! not only that but Mrs puff spatula mission has no way to kill the robot spawner and get back. Once you destroy it the length to jump back is way to big and is unreachable. Plus it thinks you are out of bounds when your not. This is within my first 8 hours of gameplay. I’ve tried atleast 40 times on each of these spatulas even trying different ways to get it. I got so fed up I just continued and came back. Still couldn’t get em. Other than these two bugs the game is great and playable for the most part and graphics look spectacular and brings back child hood memories.Version: 1.2.0

✓ Weird Save ProblemFirst off, the game plays well and is a great port. I remember playing this game as a kid and love it as much now as o did then. However I am having a save issue after getting about 2 hours in the game. I saved and when I went back 30 mins later the save says I have 40 golden spatulas and 55 socks. The save also won’t load. Not sure what happens but help would be appreciated. I don’t wanna invest anymore time and it happen again. Is this a known issue?.Version: 1.2.0

✓ REVIEWThis is a pretty amazing port all things considered, I’m playing this in an iPhone SE and so far have not run into any frame rate issues so far. This is the only port so far to have quality settings, which is a blessing, especially for older devices. All the achievements are accounted for, and the controls are as good as they can be. ✓ Very good port.I was enjoying this game a lot I was having fun comparing it to my PS4 and switch versions until 3 spatulas away from unlocking the final boss my iPad ran out and because of this my save data corrupted all I can say is this is probably a one time thing on iPad but I’d still recommend buying it due to being a great port. I’m editing this review to say thanks to handy games for trying to get my save back the save is unfortunately lost forever due to me deleting that re downloading without saving it to iCloud but this is great company who made a really impressive mobile port..Version: 1.0.4

(There was a couple socks I couldn’t find in sand mountain but that’s ok) I then talked about maybe porting the original ps2 version to mobile because I thought the remake would be too demanding but this is so much better then I wanted. Also, after you defeat robot Spongebob and you go inside him, and after you go on the trampoline, when you try to go on the 2nd trampoline, however, before you even go on it, it makes you die. ✓ Good game but two problemsI got the game and I loved it so much but I wanted some more games so I offloaded it. Now, I try to get it again but I don’t have enough storage. I have deleted a whole sum of fun games and useful apps. This means it takes too much storage. It is also hard to get onto other levels it should have a tip menu. ✓ Amazing Port to iOSI have played this game on GameCube, Switch, PS4, Xbox One X, and now my iPod Touch 7th gen, iPad Air 5th gen, and my iPhone 13. This is one of the games that identified my childhood. The only thing I have found so far with this port is that when I defeated King Jellyfish I did not get the spatula even though I picked up the spatula after defeating the King Jellyfish. This game works fantastic with M1 and A15 chipsets. Love with the Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 controllers. Touch screen controls are great too. Graphics are incredible..Version: 1.2.4

✓ A celebration of iPhone gamingA couple of friends told me that they played this on consoles as as a kid and loved it, so I thought I’d try it out. Really fun for all ages! Some great gameplay mechanics, and it was really satisfying checking every corner for collectibles - only needed YouTube tutorials for a handful of the final ones. ✓ SPONGETASTICWOW!!! Okay let me start off by saying this is simply incredible!! This game looks better on apple devices than it does on console. There are so many options to choose from to enhance the graphics and frame rate. This game runs at a smooth 60fps but can be lowered if need be. Epic graphics on a phone port of Battle For Bikini Bottom is incredible to me! I’m glad I decided to try this out and I do not regret this purchase. I was afraid it would be a bad port but I am sold. It runs so smooth, and the graphics are absolutely insane and all for only 8.99$. The touch screen controls aren’t too hard to learn but I would recommend a xbox controller to make it easier. There are some issues with the opening cinematic where the voice acting doesn’t match up with the mouths moving BUT that’s okay because the rest of the game is so polished and smooth! Well Done!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend this to any Spongebob fan! It’s nice to relive your childhood in all this mobile glory. Well done job Handy Games! ✓ Amazing!!I got this game yesterday and i am addicted! i have not experienced any bugs or glitches apart from when i was using sandy and i was gliding to a building (down bikini bottom) she grabbed into the building, pulled herslf up but her glider came out again and flew my character upwards and wouldnt stop. i ended up having to save my progress and reload the game but thats ok! great storyline and lots of quests and missions to keep you entertained. i reccomend this game because you can also use a controller, i have been using my xbox one controller and the game has become a lot easier! this game is worth the money if you loved spongebob as a child and would like to play again..Version: 1.2.4
✓ NOSTALGIAThis is my first time writing a review on any app, and I’ve had the App Store for 6-7 years! I played this game when I was a kid for hours and missed playing it. I was shocked to find it in the App Store after playing it on my friend’s switch. I bought it right away, plugged in my rotor riot controller and beat this game in 6-8 hours. I don’t remember this game being so easy and short, but then again this game was made for kids. The most difficult part of the game was definitely Spongebob’s Dream. It is satisfying to destroy enemies and collect the shiny objects. The graphics look amazing on Max settings on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. No lag or slowdowns at all. I highly recommend this game for any one reliving their childhood..Version: 1.0.4

✓ I never saw the dayI can’t believe one of my favorite childhood games has not only been remastered but has also came to mobile! In good quality too and not a knock off 2D puzzle game! Although the game does tend to make your phone hot even with lowered settings (iPhone XR) I usually keep an ice bag behind my phone in a towel and use my PS4 controller. (Yes this is also controller compatible too! Definitely worth!.Version: 1.0.5
