Why I am giving such a low star rate, and the reason I was so unhappy with this bankI am very unhappy with this card, and the reason being I was overcharged at the gas station. I immediately brought it to the gas station and the banks attention.. I gave them all of the details that they asked for did all of the footwork that was required of me called multiple times. I was reassured that I would be reimbursed my money time and time again after multiple phone calls and several months of passing I still have been reimbursed for my money, it’s basically like they did nothing other than charge my card twice and lie to me and not reimburse my money. As a single mom, who’s raising children on her own, due to the fact that my husband passed away every dollar is extremely important to me, and I feel like I was taken complete advantage of at its time when I was most vulnerable and needed every dollar so I am sad to say I am not very happy and do not recommend this card. I would like to stay up until this issue that I had I never had any other issues with the card but the fact that they did not reimburse my money is a major issue for me, and enough to be a dealbreaker, I was very unhappy and don’t feel like anything was done to give me any Aleutian to the problem.Version: 1.0.57

DisappointedWill have issues accessing funds and when you try to call you will get an operator who can’t speak English that will not awnser your quistions all they can say is sorry updating system had this happen several times what happened to sending email or letter when company’s where shutting down or updating to let the customers know they won’t be able to access there account very inconsiderate and unprofessional I’ve had thousands upon thousands loaded to my account Over past couple years and this is 5th time I’ve had similar experiences they just lost me as a customer tellers should be speaking proper English and fully under it and should be sending notifications when having system issues very disappointed.Version: 1.0.10

Random charges and hidden fees?I’ve had this app for a few years but recently it’s been acting up. I’ve been getting charged for random things and whenever I use my card then more is taken than the price of what I’m purchasing. Along with that my recent purchase was an online item and when I was supposed to get a refund I never got it back instead I’ve been trying to get into contact with someone to see if they can tell me why it’s been more than a while for my money to be returned but instead no one answers and the automatic voice machine is no help either since there is almost literally no way to get in contact with an actual worker..Version: 1.0.50

Preys on the middleclassApps like this were made to help people get by because they’re already living paycheck to paycheck and may need money before the check payday this app not only only allows you to do one or two withdrawal a pay period. They actually charge you for the money the concept behind a business model like this is disheartening, these companies try to nickel and dime you to death. Yes, I understand you nothing is free in life, but having access to someone’s funds and then limited them on when they can, and cannot withdraw their funds bad business in my opinion. The app also doesn’t let you withdraw all your change which means they’re always gonna have a little bit of your money left over..Version: 1.0.55

Volatile timing & careless staffI have been using Rapid! for a few months now. The business model is in the name; “rapid” yet their services are anything but. You can never count on your money being available at 10am when they claim it will be. Could be earlier, most of the time it’s much later. Especially on the weekends. Sometimes money won’t be available until 3pm or later. The level of unprofessionalism with the customer service is insane. They do not care about you or you needing your money. The service is nice in a pinch but you can’t rely on it being available when you need it. 2/5 stars because the service is very helpful when it does work on time..Version: 1.0.59

Satisfied CustomerI’ve used this card now for 4 yrs. now. The online app has improved. I lost my card recently and tried to order one from the app which it advises you to do. I went through all the steps and it didn’t work for me. Ended up having to call customer service which was helpful I thought. After paying for rapid return and no card in the mail, I called back into customer service. The lady I spoke to verified my current address with me and advised me if I hadn’t received it by the end of the day to call back and they would issue and send out a new one a few days later still no card called back to Customer Service. This time I was made aware that my card had been delivered. Only it was to my old address. Apparently when I change the address on my account. That didn’t change the mailing address on my account. Long story short the first agent I spoke to should have told me the first card had been delivered and verified both physical and mailing address if they had of, I wouldn’t had to wait so long for my card. It took me about two weeks to receive it after paying for 1 to 2 day delivery. It really put me in a spot seeing as how my paycheck went on this card. I didn’t have a bank account. CommunicationThe intent for this program is good when bills arise in between your pay period, however posts are delayed and when you call to resolve the information showing, you’re on hold for an extensive amount of time (currently over 45 minutes on hold trying to get to a supervisor/lead). “Customer service” is definitely lacking because they will disconnect you multiple times requiring you to call back and go through the long prompts once again with NO resolve! The “agents” are very difficult to understand as English is not their primary language so the need to get a full understanding for the money you worked hard for will cause an “unpleasant” experience, and that’s me being nice about it!.Version: 1.0.25

Worst Account EverThe Rapid Pay account is so useless. I tried to set up my account but it wouldn’t activate online so I had to call the number and activate my card. No problem I tried to call and see why it would not allow me to set up online access but when I questioned it the representative would say I’m not able to see why you can’t set it up you must be entering something wrong, and I couldn’t get what information I was entering wrong or they would hang up on me when I would ask what information was wrong! This was back in December. Now I’m constantly getting locked out of my card, they don’t have it so I can set up my bank account to transfer funds to my bank and the customer service is horrible so I don’t want to call! Don’t waste your time with Rapid or any of their affiliated companies. Green dot I’m talking about you..Version: 1.0.60

Steals your moneyThere has been too many times and so much money they have stolen from me. They will over charge you for a purchase or something will have a higher pre authorization charge and the app will take that amount out. You will see it deducted from your balance and the charge will be in pending. And once the charge posts and you are charged the actual amount you never get the extra money they charged you back!!! For example spend 15 at qt they charged you 100… it takes 100 out of your account but once the charge posts to your account and it shows 15 as the charge your balance doesn’t go up the extra amount they charged you but it came out… it’s a straight scam. Happened too many times and they do nothing about it.Version: 1.0.34

Really poor appThis app has never worked for over a year I’ve worked at Harbor Freight Tools. My work hours have never been reported correctly so I am always allowed only a very small portion of my paycheck. Two times I spent quite a while on the phone explaining the situation to two different representatives and I was promised the issue would be resolved and it never was and I was never contacted again even though I was promised both would happen. My manager looked into it and had no way to fix it so it needed to be fixed by the people running this app. It has been extremely disappointing not getting any help and I hope it will be resolved in the future for other employees just trying to receive the 50% of their hard earned money as promised by this app..Version: 1.0.49

Not a good startI just signed up with my employer. I’m waiting for a payment still, but I wasn’t even able to request a rapid pay card. They state that usually you can and told me to wait 24 hours lol. Then after about 48, hours, I called back and was told to contact my employer. This is a pretty rough start. They definitely read from a script and don’t know how to deviate from that script at all. I gave them 2 stars while I assume that I will get my payment at least within in the next day. Doing the review now, because if I don’t now, I probably won’t. Just been a rough start to even get the card. And looking at other reviews, I’m thinking I should just pass on it..Version: 1.0.42

Always a problemI always have a problem with this card. I tried paying a ticket once and I could not for some odd reason I did have enough funds, when I called to ask why I couldn’t the guy kept on asking “is your address correct where you are trying to pay at your convenience store or gas station” i don’t know what I’m address had to do with that because I was at a court house trying to pay a ticket. This next big problem I had funds transferred into my account and they are not there I called to ask them where my funds are if it’s taking a while to process they told me they didn’t receive any (I know for a fact funds were transferred at 6am) then said it may take a while for them to get to your account. I have waited an hour like she told me and my funds are still not there. I honestly would never recommend this bank never ever in a million years because it’s always a problem when you is this card..Version: 1.0.36

Scam worst app everThis app is a nightmare. I hope nobody use it because it is a scam. They will use your information. They will steal your money from your account and you will have no customer service to speak to our supervisor. They are bunch of criminal that use people information to get their money with legit way, even after I call so many time customer service to complain about missing money from my account keep playing game and telling me that there is no way for them to see how the transaction went away. I’m missing over $500 from this ad and now I am on zero balance after I call customer service over eight times I couldn’t get no no answer and I lost over $500 from my account..Version: 1.0.52

Horrible experienceI’m not sure why they say it’s easier on the app when you can’t handle do anything but look. I would give this 0stars but you can’t. My whole ordeal with this card has been horrible. If I try to transfer money through anything to that card it takes about 2 weeks for it to be on the card. I requested a transfer from the card to my bank and I got it 2 weeks later and wasn’t sure where that money came from until I thought about it. And direct deposit setup DOES NOT work every time I set it up I’d still have to wait the whole weekend without my pay check until Monday bc I get paid Fridays. I’ve called the customer service number but they don’t help nor to they know what they are doing and the phone call is always delayed and some of them are rude like they are wasting their time. We can reload the card through western union and I did that over a week ago and on the site WU it says 1-2 days to complete and it’s a week later and on my acct on WU it says complete. TroubleI have had nothing but trouble with anyone I have talked to. Simone who hung up on me deactivated my account without me knowing out of spite. And I didn’t even know till I went to pay for my groceries. I call to see what is going on that is when I am informed that my card was canceled. Spoke to a supervisor and no help from her either. Told me I’d have to wait 7-10 business days even though it was on them why I couldn’t use my card! So even after the guy cancelled it out of spite he didn’t even send out a new one. So I’ve still been waiting on my card and have had to be without money for over a week now! Terrible. Company, app. Not recommendedI can’t even believe I’m being forced to use this company. This new app won’t even recognize my login, even though I still have complete access on my computer so I know I’m using the correct information. Both the (previous) app and the website won’t even allow me to transfer money to my bank OR my bank card so I can use the money I do have on this card (I recently lost it). When I called hoping to request a new card, the phone options were incorrect so I had to start over with their LONGGGG intro (which BY THE WAY, they say at the VERY END of all the options that you may be charged for the call, which is absolutely absurd considering you have NO OTHER OPTION for help). Bad Service!!!I first got my RapidPay card from my first job everything went by smoothly. They let you see the amount of taxes that’s been taken out but then I got another job and decided to get another card and I tried to add my second card onto the account and it would not work at all. It continuously said I put in the wrong information when I knew everything was right and tripled checked I was tired of having a long phone call process of seeing the amount of money I had on my card so I decided to delete my account and try to create another one. Your account gets temporary locked when you delete it so I decided to wait for a while, but nothing works with that account at all. And then, when you try to call the services to help you. Wrongly Inactive cardTwo times going to pay for food when I’m out of state, and my card was declined, saying that it was inactive because a glitch in their system. I spent 45 min in the restaurant w my take out in front of me , getting transferred a total of 3 agents to be asked all my information 4 times including having to manually type in before a human…embarrassed, hungry, cold, tired ,on way to daughter from working …. End up angry my dinner would be cold and soggy and or end up making the restaurant waste a meal . I go home without dinner had no means of money aside from 10$cash. Alright but not trustworthy and not reliable when I counted on your servicesMost of the time I'm grateful to be able to pull money out from my check a little early ... but frankly I've had issues with your service a LOt lately and I'll never put myself in a position like that because I trusted I would be able to use it when I really needed it but your app wouldn't fail my request for on demand pay and then my corporation has to send me my money your app wouldn't succeed in giving me or failing so my money was in limbo for two weeks because your company couldn't help me or fix it and it's happened multiple times. Last week I was late in my rent because I put trust in your system and was let down. So I no longer will rely on your app and use it with discretion. I'm thankful when the all works smoothly though. You should warn people on holidays it seems your app has problems because that's basically been when I have issues and also randomly last weekend. Company friendly but not cardholder friendlyThis card is a nightmare. Bane of my existence. Once the money is loaded it is inconvenient too use since it’s a slide only so I’ve had MANY issues with this to the point I have to use a different card. So you wanna transfer money to your bank account? There’s a fee. And then a fun 2-5 day wait to see your money. Have an issue and need assistance? Good luck and Godspeed cause they can’t help with jack it’s all trough other companies. The app itself is dated and inconvenient, for a place keeping your money and finances you’d expect a more accessible platform to be in place. The bottom line of this whole card is MAJORLY INCONVENIENT! Which defeats the purpose of having a card vs cash anyways..Version: 1.0.46

Absolutely HorribleMy card was hacked. Called, they said they would cancel my card. 10 different transaction went through after canceling the card. I still get pop-up that the old card is being used?!? How? new card arrives, try to set it up/activation. Nothing would work correctly, was locked out of everything. Called spent nearly two hours on the phone to fix the issues. had then down load 4 pages to fill out to dispute the charges. 6 days later i’m still locked out of my account. called again. Rep claims she unlocked the account. Nope still not working, i faxed the dispute forms and can only hope there get there the appropriate person to handle this situation! The rep tonite sounded like she was home and can he people in the back ground. i ask how secure is our data if employees can work from home and have anyone around and or listening to the conversation and or watching what the rep is doing! this is probably how my card was hacked in the first place. Trust issueI’ve been receiving money on this card and 30 get took from me every pay check for some reason the ppl I work for can’t figure it out or the rapid card ppl can’t either I have requested a new card changed it and still money is been taken off my card idk what to do atp because they say they can’t use my personal bank or give me check definitely wouldn’t recommend it’s hard time and ppl are taking our hard working money and nobody is putting in work to get the money back stayed on the phone for hours they suppose to have me a credit it’s almost 2023 and I still haven’t received that credit and still getting money took from me someone is hacking these cards.Version: 1.0.27

I dont recommend this bankThe reason why is because someone stole my physical bank card went to rite aid an spent 300 off my card and I called the police made a police report and the officer seen a guy on camera using my card multiple times in one night and your company told me to write a claims report so I did and I faxed it to your company from my local library and when I called the next day to confirm if the paper work went through you guys said you never received the paper work and I know for a fact that you guys received it because I sent it twice than you guys told me it’s been more than 10 days and it’s to late now I have to wait 90 days to get my money (if I ever even get it back) I was so disappointed my job referred me to this bank and I will never choose to bank with this company anymore and I do not recommend you guys need to come up with a better solution for people.Version: 1.0.49

Doesn’t workThis is my second time submitting a review, BEWARE of this app, I did not do my research before signing up through this, my company advertised it so I figured it was good but NO! I have been trying for two days to do cash pickup in store, the first time the register said it could not validate the transaction, this morning I got hold of a representative who told me in order to cancel the transaction I had to call my Human Resource department , of which they have no knowledge, we did a 3 way call and they never picked up was on hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes. I’m going to assume that the company I work for have absolutely no idea about this app, I’m gonna write to the president and urge them not to use y’all. $0.50 fee for declining a charge?I was at the checkout and thought that I had plenty to cover my purchase. It didn’t go through so I thought maybe I just swiped it wrong because it did not say it was declined, it said something like “card error.” It didn’t work again but this time it said declined so I checked my balance and for each time it was declined and without even covering my purchase, I was charged $0.50. I know it’s my fault for not checking my balance first but this is the only prepaid card I’ve ever had that charges a fee for being declined. I really REALLY wish the organization that distributes my payment with this card would’ve found a better card issuer. I understand the company has to keep their lights on but come on! GreenDot has always been a last resort for me when it comes to reloadable prepaid cards because of their predatory, garbage fees. Do better. The people who use these cards often have no choice. However, as a company, RapidPay has a choice. It’s unfortunate that they choose to take advantage of their customers’ circumstances with these predatory fees and loopholes. Time cards not accurate and doesn’t adjust for raisesThe app is constantly 2 to 3 days behind on hours worked and often doesn’t show you the full half of your pay that should be available.I’ve also had problems with punch time accuracy. The app needs serious work. It also doesn’t adjust itself when you get a raise.I’m thankful that Harbor Freight Tools given us this resource tool to use if we need to but I feel like just like with the rest of the company, the hardware to software compatibility isn’t what it should be. We’re either running new software on dinosaur hardware or machines that were around at the time of the dinosaur, (or as in this app), we are running terribly undeveloped software across multiple operating systems..Version: 1.0.20

Rapid payLove the app except for when theirs money then it just disappears because you have a day off. Most people need it their day off if you could fix that bug. Maybe have it stay their till Thursday then what I don’t use goes to paycheck. It’s Sunday and I had $50 their yesterday and now it’s gone was going to get some food today and do laundry because I had that but it disappeared and went to my paycheck I don’t get paid till this Friday I should have access to that till then. A fee of $.75 ?????Just noticed I have been getting charged .75 for “attempting” to withdraw cash at an ATM and asking for more than what is in my account. Not getting the cash…because of insufficient funds, but trying to get $60 out when only $40 was available. So put the card back in thinking I should have $40… another insufficient funds message. If you are not actually getting the transaction to process there is no reason to assess a fee, well the is one reason: GREED!! So $1.50 from me and how many other $.75 charges went to hundreds of people. Let’s just say 500 people. That would be $375 they are making for sending a message on an ATM to “customers”. Don’t file a reportI was never told information when I wanted to dispute a charge and the support personnel was very unprofessional leaving information out leaving me having to constantly call and check in my case having not being contacted in two months about my case and then when contacted proved me with no help and hearing the line your case is being investigated and when told I would receive a credit after 20 day and that I didn’t need to send in any information i then ended contact them and asking to help their investigation would they like the police report that comment was ignored and after being contacted again was given a rude representative who claim that I was given this information when I didn’t even receive a case number so plsss never received you money on this app.Version: 1.0.53

FrustratedI am so frustrated about how rapid pay advertises this services. I am capped at $106 per day & can’t borrow more than this. If I have a large bill to pay, I have to keep borrowing daily until I have enough funds to pay my bills. After calling, they told me that there was nothing they could do because the amount per day I can borrow is based on my time sheet. The same applies when I was a salaried employee, so that doesn’t make sense. It’s something, but so frustrating & annoying. Rapid pay takes out the full total amount that I borrow from my paycheck though. It’s a trap that I’ll hopefully be out of soon..Version: 1.0.39

No support and sketchy!The card itself is ugly, it’s just RaPiD with their ugly red smear of a logo. Ang god it’s a master card. On top of that their website looks like a scam in itself. Not to mention their fugally app. This would be all excusable IF there was no support for Apple pay, Venmo and any other service were you need to choose a bank. If your even able to get your money (by golly if you are able to get it past “card declined” you’ll find that oops 40+ dollars gone be no text alerts or realistic firewall. I got scammed 129$ because somehow someone stole my info from across the us!. I wish I wasn’t stuck with this pathetic husk of a bank that feels like it is made by 5 year olds for 2 year olds.Version: 1.0.43

App issuesI’m trying to get help with the app login. Every way I’ve tried it wants me to sign in before I can get help to sign in. I’ve tried forgetting password and creating a new one. But even though it’s all in the green showing it’s been done properly, an error keeps popping up saying incorrect password format. But the green shows it’s correct with the format I’m entering. Don’t know what’s going on with your app. But it was allowing me to sign in properly without an issue over a week ago. Now it’s not letting me and wanting a password. Like it’s glitching. But the password won’t work. I’ve done nothing to change it until now. So whatever is happening is on your end not mine. Help!!!.Version: 1.0.36
