✓ Great game, poor matching algorithmThis game is incredibly fun, but the connection issues and difficulty finding matches/opponents to play make it very frustrating. Sometimes I’ll login and fail to find a match on all the game modes / events then just close the app without actually playing. This is especially true for the clan tournaments, I find a match to play in 1 out of 10 attempts. It also takes forever to find a match when it is successful, sometimes taking more than 2 minutes to connect me to a game. For one I would never steal. I have bought so many crystals from your company to play my game to basically being accused of being a stealer in a liar. There was an incident where I was charged 999 for a crystal package twice but only received it once I believe this was I can’t remember the actual date because once it’s taken out of my account, it happens like a few days after I buy it sometimes up to almost a week, so when I asked for the refund for the crystals I had picture proof I don’t know if I do anymore but I had actually sent to Apple to prove my side and that’s why I had gotten a refund. ✓ BadPlayed the game for a week, got to arena 7, then had to stop because it was driving me crazy. The first thing you’ll notice when you open the app is that the UI is EXACTLY like clash royal, down to the bone. There are constantly pop ups trying to sell you gems and whatnot. The gameplay is abysmal, every aspect is randomized; when you buy a tower, it’s random, when you merge two towers it’s random, the boss is random (it can sometimes destroy half your defence). And the worse you’re doing against the enemies the stronger the boss is, it punishes you for not doing well instead of giving you opportunities to improve. It is basically a single player game and how far you have to get to win is completely random because you never interact with the person you’re playing against. It’s just a contest of who gets luckier. Also when you “win” a chest you HAVE to watch an ad to get it or it will be gone forever..Poo hahahhahahahahahVersion: 3.2

✓ Match makingThe game overall is fun and creative on how you can pair different cards up to counter off one another’s abilities but the match making is really bad. I don’t have the money to purchase everything to acquire gold ability cards but somehow I get matched up with them constantly. A purple grindstone is much different than a gold main card. So I do nothing but lose because of matchmaking. There needs to be a way to classify different cards and levels of ability so if I have a purple grindstone I get paired up against someone with a purple secondary card as such. I’m honestly better off downgrading my cards or to use bad cards to progress until I get a card leveled up so I have a chance against the people I get paired with. Developers have responded to others so hopefully they see this and do something to improve it bc at this point if all I’m ever going to do is lose then what’s the point of playing? Even if I had a chance to win it would be somewhat fun at the very least but I don’t have a chance against the people I’m paired against. ✓ Roll cardHey, everyone. Let me say this game is not bad. It has great features and cards are easily playable till league. I will say one thing, I have been on this app for over a year and 9 months and I cannot express enough. The drop roll for cards is not acceptable. I have grind for hours and countless loss battle to get some gems. I hoped that all that hard work I would at least get a damaging card of my preference but nope I get something useless. For the past open chess and blue crystal, I have been getting non-stop clock card, shaman, and hex. I did manage to get some damaging cards but I have not been able to upgrade them to lvl 8 or 9. I have seen new players having better cards than me and I have been playing longer. Like bruh were is my luck. No matter how much I try to advance I keep getting shut down. ✓ Not a simple Singleplayer GameThe ads made the game look like a fun merging tower defense game that you could play by yourself and have fun. As soon as I downloaded the game, I realized that it was a multiplayer game(which was not made obvious in the add) and is either Player vs Player, which makes the game very short term and competitive, or Co-op which makes you relient on getting paired with a good teammate. I was willing to give this game a chance so I dealt with its UI that was "coincidentally" exactly like the UI of Clash Royale by Supercell. I played one game of PvP first and it was unfathomably easy and boring, however when I beat it, the "reward" chest was locked behing watching an ad which further turned me off. Not to mention the amount of Micro Transactions advertized along the way. When I played a Co-op match after, I played and got past the first boss on round 5, but then the 2nd boss on round 15 literally TURNS YOUR TOWERS TO STONE IRREVERSIBLY. This made me lose the game and my temper. This boss was made so you have to beat it with a niche strategy that was not made apparent at all. Then, when all was said and done and I went to go play another match, the continue button was oddly small, and I misclicked onto the "reward" chest again and was forced to watch an ad. But it’s becoming obvious that the arena feature is rigged to keep players below a certain percentage to prevent faster progress, no matter who’s your opponent or skill level. Being forced to battle players with higher ranking and better decks is absolutely stupid and in no way is it any fun. Once I reached league 3 every single battle was against players with the unit that can duplicate others, they would combine that with the mana dropping units and then use other cards I didn’t have that could de-rank my units and force negative effects on me. The only sure fire way to acquire those particular cards is to spend large amounts of money. Also, being able to just duplicate units that cast negative effects on opposing players is just plain overpowered and unfair. There is no chance to win against a player using decks like that. I invested a lot of money working towards a successful deck, especially as everything is severely overpriced and it takes a pretty crazy grind to get anywhere, but I was happy to do it while it gave me an edge. ✓ Solid game, terrible marketingI got this game a while back and picked it up again recently and while I think the gameplay is interesting and enjoyable, I hate how annoying their ads are for their game and that they decided to work with Jake Paul, who has a long record of being a pretty terrible person. It’s seems like they aren’t following the usual mobile game strategy of attracting whales to make money, and instead attracting a broader audience through tactics used by scams to attract users who they try to get to watch as many ads as possible. This is a pretty common Formula for much less developed games where they come up with a decently interesting game that isn’t hard to put together, put a bunch of misleading ads up, then fill their own game with tons of ads to make some money. Usually more developed games don’t follow this strategy because the quality gameplay attracts users who want to play the game a lot. It feels like the whole idea is to try and force players to spend money so that they can get legendary cards, which are substantially superior but also very difficult to get, and having all other users just watch lots of ads to progress at a fairly typical pace, with anyone else being left to progress slowly through the game. Co-op going to the dungeon system made me all but quit playing. People disconnect from co op games or you end up with someone wayyyy lower strength than you often, which is fine and fun because co op was unlimited, but now co op is a very limited level system and it’s impossible to beat without a high level friend or clanmate. Besides that having limited keys for co op pretty much destroyed gameplay. I used co op games to test decks all the time, who wants to lose a ton of pvp points trying out a new card? On top of those co op changes, the balance changes they made to blade dancer/cultist/inquisitor made them SO UNBALANCED. Almost every deck i play against now is bd/knight statue/portal and it’s now just a game of chance who gets their board set up faster. I loved this game so much, played hours every day for months. One of the most fun parts was the constant challenge of figuring out the strongest deck combos with faction of the week, talents, and more. It’s just a blade dancer battle every time now and you can’t beat it with any other cards. No creativity or strategizing anymore. ✓ Good Fun But Not Particularly InclusiveI only started playing this game a couple of weeks ago. It took a little while to understand the levelling-up system utilised here and the principal of how to build an efficient team (with good stats) as some combinations aren’t as good as others. Unsurprisingly, this game operates around a ‘pay-to-win’ construct, so unless you’re willing to put in actual money, levelling-up and beating some of the higher grade levels of the game is going to be near-impossible or slow and repetitive. It does get rather boring having to repeat the same level to upgrade unless you’re able to afford £15 here or there. The best qualities of the game, however, are: • The social aspect is great. Playing co-op with other players real-time, forming clans, being able to communicate with animated emojis, etc. is quite enjoyable and lends a bonding experience to the game. • The colours and designs of characters are fun and quirky. No two characters are the same, so there is a certain quality of uniqueness to your deck(s) when constructing them. • It runs very smoothly with no obvious glitching or bugs. There are certainly rooms for improvement. Developers should consider making it a little easier for us casual players to level up without the financial sacrifice(s), as currently it’s far too slow and makes it boring. ✓ Good but very flawedThe gameplay is good but it is exceedingly pay to win and has you complete quizzes or purchases in a third party to get in game rewards that are absolutely not worth it. And the chests are priced ridiculously high ($10) just to maybe get one legendary unit card you want. Like a lot of games recently there’s also a season pass that boosts progression but not really enough to make it worth it especially since it’s not a permanent purchase. And sure you can progress naturally but it takes forever to get anywhere even with watching up to 7 or so nearly 40 second long ads an hour. The only saving grace is that the gameplay is actually enjoyable and you only get put against people that are around the same progression as you. It’s not a complete cash grab, and I commend the work put in to making the game, but it’s clear that money is main motivator which is an absolute shame since it could be much more enjoyable if you didn’t feel forced to buy progression boosts or complete an obscene amount (up to 125) of quizzes or other offers in order to get one chest. When contacted about their ambiguous rules the team don’t care, won’t take accountability and either fix or compensate for losses. ✓ The pros and cons of Rush RoyaleEssentially this is a very good game, there’s no denying that. The tower defence concept is excellent and the visuals and gameplay are very good. There are a lot of reviews calling out white elephant in the room which is the costs involved to play RR and be halfway competitive are increasing exponentially. There are endless adverts which require to be watched, there’s even a ‘watch 10 advert’ reward which refreshes as soon as it’s been complete. However there is literally no way to grind in this game to obtain the best cards…those are reserved unashamedly for those with deep wallets. It’s such a shame that the game developers focussed so much energy on trying to prise money from players, rather than improve on what was a fantastic game. If you are even slightly competitive, then this game is not for you…unless you have exceptionally deep pockets. Honestly, if you want the good cards, you will require to pay hundreds of pounds for the chance, that’s right, just a chance of getting the very powerful and best cards. ✓ Garbage gameThis game starts off really well. The units you get are more than good enough to compete with other people that are around the same level. The problem starts when you get to a certain point in the game where you NEED the best and rarest cards to progress, and this is where they get you with pay walls. Really looking and waiting for Summoner? Better wait for the 34.99 pack that you can just buy it directly because there’s no way you’ll get the gems necessary to buy a single legendary chest. I bought the premium pass and got all the rewards and got shafted with legendaries, but even with the premium pass, you only get 6 guaranteed legendaries, and that’s across more than 100 pass levels, and immediately after the pass runs out there are absolutely no ways to get more legendaries which forces you to buy gems with money or buy legendaries you want directly. You only get a miserable handful of gems here and there, so it’s not possible to get better cards as free to play. Not to mention there are some cards (shaman, meteor, harlequin, inquisitor, summoner, and dryad) that if you don’t get them, you can’t compete properly or at all and will lose to people with them almost everytime. It’s not a game of skill, it’s a game of RNG. My advice? If you have a deep wallet and want to demolish people who don’t, this is the game for you. If you want a fun tower defence game, go to the game this one copied, “Random Dice”. However there is no realistic way to grind for good cards. I’m over 3,300 rank and have unlocked all cards but one. The problem is I don’t have a realistic way to get them. In random dice you play PVE to get a box with a 1% chance to get a legendary. That’s fine because I enjoyed the game and grinded to get it. But this game doesn’t have that. You have to go through the battle pass which takes like 10 games to one level which opens very low level chests most of the time. So I find myself frustrated where I can’t progress realistically without spending 100 hours to get a one decent chest or pay insane money. This game is a random chance game so you should make it easier to get good cards and have players work to upgrade them. Players will enjoy it more because they can do more. You’ll hold them longer, make more money, and there’s still a big enough gap between pay to play or grinding players and those who don’t. ✓ Fun, addictive, but way too luck basedPVP games are too massively dependent on RNG. Combining/levelling your cards, pure RNG. Even dropping said cards at Level 1 the RNG has a massive impact. The bosses at the end of each wave can and do cripple a game on the spot if you or your opponent get screwed by the RNG. This review isn’t coming off the receiving end of some bad RNG luck, it’s coming off a win. As is often the case in these games, when you’re spoon fed a victory that’s when you can’t miss how big of a flaw this is in these types of games. Around 1 minute in I had 17 Demon Hunters stacked, and my opponent with a very similar deck also hit 13. 13 by itself would virtually kill most games but the pair of us were “blessed by the RNG gods”. But wave 1 boss was Tribunal, which destroyed my opponent and hit me quite hard. Most games the hit I received would have been huge, but nope, I lucked out even more than my opponent once again. This entire match revolved solely around the RNG and this is the case in a huge % of matches. This gets boring over time. This is a shame as if the game could be tweaked to remove the luck element it would be an amazing game. I personally would enjoy a match lasting 5, 6, 7 rounds if my win/loss ultimately was mostly down to choices me and my opponent made. ✓ No Longer Fun - Matchmaking is BrokenThis game can be a lot of fun, especially for a new player. However, as you rank up and climb the leaderboards it can very quickly stop being fun. Once a player enters league 1, which is about 4000 trophies, they will be put up against opponents with far more trophies than them. This is usually a difference of at least 500 trophies, and those players also have a significant advantage because they have higher level and more legendary cards. Regardless, due to them having a higher level trainer and cards most games are un-winnable unless the opponent just gives up. This happened in a recent game where I had the exact same deck as the opponent. We both had reasonable good luck but I began to fall behind after the 2nd boss. After they won I examined their deck and realized that every single card was at least 3 levels higher than mine. Their critical strike was over 400% higher than mine. This was expected, as their trophies were over 800 more than what I had at that moment. If you’re looking for casual fun games, this game doesn’t honestly fit that category as you improve at the game. ✓ Great game absolutely ruined by RNGWhile I understand that some random number generation is essential to keep a game from being predictable, the RNG in this game is absurd more than 2/3 of the time. Certain units require support, so the strongest builds require a mix of damage and support, but with 5 possible units to choose from it is unacceptable that you would draw only 2-3 of the cards in your deck 15-20 draws in a row, over multiple games. Also, cone price mode is based almost entirely on matching you with players of a similar position rating, but it seems to entirely disregard how powerful the units are in your opponents deck relative to yours, how upgraded their hero is, or how high their critical strike value is. Sometimes it’s clear that a match is unwinnable from the start, sometimes it’s clear afterward that your opponents units were 4-5 levels above yours and fully upgraded. There is also no sliding scale for defeat: you always lose the same number of rating points no matter if your opponent is 500 point below you or significantly above you. When it works, and matches are close and competitive it’s beautiful and entertaining. The game play is repetitive with very little to offer the players. Some fighting variants and a reconfigure of the entire upgrade system would make this game a lot better. If you go to the shop, everything is INCREDIBLY expensive and offers very little reward. For 35$, it gives you MAYBE 5009 coins and a couple of card upgrades and a couple of fragments. TLDR at bottom… The battlepass is the main source of “value” in this ranking system as it is the most efficient way to obtain legendaries. There are over 100 tiers to complete in a month-long event. You can pay a small sum of gems to unlock more tiers if you want, plus you can mirror/double your rewards buy purchasing the premium pass—a tried and true revenue structure for competitive PvP. These slime balls don’t let you keep any of the rewards you earn unless you manually click through them, but only for the battlepass. Every other event they mail you any and all earned rewards. They train you to feel safe not opening rewards just to gut punch you on the longest, hardest, and most rewarding event they offer. There’s nothing to “unlock” really.. there’s some chests that become basically useless at higher grades as they’re so expensive to upgrade and you just get a bit of global crit, then the other token system where you unlock new cards (but can’t use them until you get them in a chest).. which brings me to my main issue... to get the best cards you basically have to pay money. ✓ This game is good, but the devs need to listen to this!’Iv been playing your game for a week now and have reached a fairly high level, it is very clearly a semi-clash Royale clone but it has its own differing mechanics and animations which is enjoyable. However iv noticed some issues. In Co-op if a single enemy crosses into the castle, the game instantly ends. Iv also found that exchanging through level 24-25 is nearly impossible. Completely pointless, but they did it. Of course, the only way to get a good hero is to spend money. The only way to upgrade your hero is to spend more money. Heros also have armors and weapons. Guess what? The only way to get a decent weapon is to spend money. Upgrading legendary units now requires crystals. The only way to get crystals is, you guessed it, to spend money. They introduced a new legendary card that demolishes every other card. The only way to get that is to spend money. They’ll probably nerf that card in a month or two and replace it with a better card that can only be obtained by spending more money. Then they introduced talents. You need crystal balls to get talents. And guess what? Yep, you need to spend money on that too. There’s no more strategy. The minute you get matched, it’s automatically who has spent the most money that’s going to win. It’s just not fun anymore. ✓ Poorly Balanced Supercell CloneThis game is a poorly balanced mess. The general concept and card variety is fun, but there is no meaningful balancing between cards. Many of them are inherently better than others regardless of how much you upgrade them or how you use them, and legendary cards (ones you basically have to pay for otherwise you will never unlock them) are so much better than others that you’re almost guaranteed to win if you have them and your opponent doesn’t. The whole game is a blatant cash grab, and the prices are so much less reasonable than other comparable games. $12 for a season pass, and most timed unlock packs for legendary cards will cost you $10-$40. That’s crazy expensive for a supercell ripoff when you could get a lot more for a lot less in their games. There is a decent, fun idea underneath it all, but someone decided to overtune the pay-to-win to make it all about spending money. I had fun playing it for the first couple days, but I’m at the point where it’s not fun, and I’m unwilling to spend money to stay competitive in such a poorly balanced game. On top of the cards being so poorly balanced (the one thing you can control as you assemble your team) there is no meaningful balancing to the “boss” enemies. Some of them are insanely disruptive and will ruin everything you put together in a match, while others do nothing. ✓ Great but frustrating gameThere is a pay to win element to this game but if you put some time into the game it isn’t as hurtful as some other games. It can be a grind to get the cards/units but you can tell your progress by how high you get in pvp and how far you go in co-op mode. In a few weeks I’ve managed to get to 5350 in pvp and usually around 55-60 in co-op. The first week I was struggling to get past 25-30 in co-op. Just hang in there and grind coins and adverts for cards. My big issue is with co-op. It’s my favourite mode and the most frustrating. I spend so much time wasted on people who either disconnect instantly which means the match is pretty much done and playing it is a waste of time. Or people who intentionally don’t disconnect and don’t play or place units in the hope you will grind coins for them.
