GRE Vocabulary Cartoons for Positive User Reviews

Best GRE Vocabulary AppThis app has helped me learn new words in an incredible way. The cartoons are funny, engaging, and most of all memorable! The spaced repetition implemented in this app also lets me continue to review vocabulary words that I wasn’t familiar with before. Best GRE Vocabulary App I’ve used to date!.Version: 1.0

Good appOverall I think the cards are very helpful for learning. However I do wish that under review cards there was a way to compile all the words and review them as flash cards in a randomized order..Version: 1.0.22

THE ABSOLUTE BESTStruggling with grasping the nuances of the GRE vocabs? This is it. Congratulations for finding it! All cartoons are well made of high quality and made the perfect connection with the words. With 1300 vocabs, this is a great set with enough essential vocabs to help your prep. Not to mention my favorite part of the app, it accounts for the streaks of your study. You can also set how many words you want to learn each day and what words can be removed from the list. It’s flexible! Most importantly, it made learning fun!!!.Version: 1.0

Saving my butt (so far) - but some flawsI had been using a really lame free Flashcards app for GRE Vocab for a few weeks before this app, and found myself dreading going over the Flashcards because of how blatantly boring it was to do and how much said app kinda sucked. I found myself spacing out so much after a few cards that it was becoming a waste of time, and I was memorizing slowly. This app is onto something though—I first heard about it just yesterday (no idea why not sooner) and figured the 99 cents is worth the risk for what it claimed to deliver. I’ve been using it for 24 hours on and off and can say that 1) I actually look forward to using these Flashcards because the lighthearted humor makes them more entertaining 2) Ive found can pay attention for longer when reading them (definitions are short and sweet and the humor and bright graphics tickle my monkey brain) rather than be lulled to sleep 3) thanks to the use of both definitions and helpful mnemonics, i feel like I’m committing words to memory at a much faster rate, and with noticeable progress: with the handful of words I’ve been reviewing, I did significantly better on the practice text completion I did today vs yesterday before downloading the app. I appreciate the effort put into making these cards humorous (I’ve heard that evoking an emotional response tends to help memory formation, so users who can’t handle a little immature/dark humor on occasion are just missing out really), as it’s been a silver lining to the grueling cramming process. I also like a lot of how the app is set up—being able to remove cards from the stack is really helpful to streamline the process, and the search feature is great. The reason I gave 4 stars because of how the UI is currently set up, as it greatly impacts the effectiveness of the app for me— I’d appreciate the review format being a bit different. Rather than having a list form where we can only tap on words in an ordered list to see the card, I’d appreciate the option to switch to the actual Flashcard format (the same format that daily words are presented in). Being able to have new words shuffled in with older ones I may not have mastered yet would be the perfect setup imo and would help the app’s effectiveness be that much better, as this is how I study and I think I’m not the only one. It just takes a lot of time to go through the list and it makes me wonder if I’ll be able to get as much use out of the app as I’d hoped. If you allow for more options like this though, I think this app could be seriously amazing. Thanks for all your work on this!.Version: 1.0.22

Best tool for GRE VocabBest tool for memorizing vocab for the GRE..Version: 1.0.20.1

AmazingYou can tell how much thought the creators out into this. they really made memorizing vocabs easy.Version: 1.0.22

Vocabs are Great but App needs to improveGreat way to learn Vocabs. I have loved studying these in Quizlet however I didnot find the option where I can go to vocabs from a specific alphabet and study them. For now I will continue studying in Quizlet. I hope the developers will also add a option to go to the folders where vocabs are organized by alphabet. Also the option to go inside the folder of A or G any alphabet and search and find a word like in a Dictionary would be awesome. 5 star for Vocab Cartoons and 3 star for the App..Version: 1.0.13

Awesome and free!Splendid free app with pictures and hints on how to memorize GRE vocabulary, super helpful!.Version: 1.0.22

Time-saving & effectiveI solely used this app to learn vocab and was surprised how well it worked. I scored even higher than I wanted on the actual GRE verbal section! Here is what sets this app apart from others: 1• truly *memorable* mneumonics and puns 2• spaced reputation that actually lets you learn effectively 3• a day-to-day “streak” for encouragement 4• Memorable cartoon imagery 5• Simple and easy to use Two small possible improvements: a) A search bar for previous would be insurmountable. When grading practice questions, I wish I could search a word on this app. b) when I “remove from deck” it still keeps that word in the daily pack of words. Can it be removed right away and be replaced with a new word? Thank you :).Version: 1.0.16

The best app for Vocab! This app makes reviewing, studying new words so easy. The flash adds are interesting (graphics + great design) which makes learning all the more easy. I’d highly recommend downloading the app.Version: 1.0.20.1

Great appWould be cool if you could select cards and put them into multiple separate reviewable decks instead of just having the normal and removed cards. For example I’d like to create an easy, medium and hard deck for myself to be able to review..Version: 1.0.22

Unable to swipeHello Vince, I am a big fan of your Math Knight app and I definitely understand why people love this one too!! Just one little issue that I have noticed is that I can’t seem to be able to swipe right, left, up, or down. So the word doesn’t change unless I swipe out of the app completely. Is there anyway around this?.Version: 1.0.20.1

Best App for GRE Vocabulary Building!I honestly cannot say enough great things about this app! You would be very surprised on how quickly you were able to learn and remember these words!! Top notch and cannot recommend it enough!!!.Version: 1.0.14

So helpfulThis is the best vocabulary builder out there. The examples and illustrations are the best mnemonic devices and have helped me actually learn the words and commit them to long-term memory. Thank you!.Version: 1.0.13

Worth the money. Just buy it.Very helpful for making connections with the definitions. The app allows you to allocate a certain amount of study time per day based on your needs and helps you stay on top of your studying. I definitely recommend over some of the other free ones..Version: 1.0.20.1

OutstandingA very outstanding and picturesque app,I love it.Version: 1.0.20.1

Superb content! The artistry and time invested into designing visual aids for EACH of 1300 words is astounding. This really helps me remember the words as a visual learner. The mnemonic devices on each card are great too. For being 3 months old this app is incredible. A few ideas to establish yourself as the leader of the GRE prep pack: -add a shuffle feature to the card deck for cards I have yet to master. This will allow folks to review cards in a different order, thus solidifying our memory of words. This feature alone would be worth $5 to me, and I’d be happy to pay for that add-on -make the sound setting permanent and save in the app (I can turn sound off to listen to music but when I leave the app for a while or turn off and back on the setting is reset). This is really just a minor tweak. Overall a great app, with unmatched content. With a few tweaks it could be perfect. I highly recommend it!.Version: 1.0.14

AMAZINGThis is my first time giving app review only because this app deserves it!! As a Chinese native speaker, learning GRE vocabs has been challenging but this app made it so easy. All the example sentences were so fun and easy to remember! You should try it!!!.Version: 1.0.13

Test Prep With Vince 💯💯I really like Vince’s test prep company and his staff. Everyone is so kind and really care about helping you learn. This app is a great way to continue that learning and I’m so glad Vince set it up!.Version: 1.0

Updated ReviewAfter properly learning how to use the app I definitely give it 5 stars. The illustrations are extremely useful when it comes learning and remembering the words. Lastly, I previously gave this app 2 stars because I was having trouble with swiping/dragging but after the developer got back to me it works perfectly. Never has a developer responded to my review and they definitely go the extra mile. These people want you to succeed..Version: 1.0.11

RECOMMEND!!!Made studying for the vocabulary portion super fun, considering I’m a visual learner. Recommended to my friends that are also studying for the GRE this year!.Version: 1.0.20.1

Wow!!!I’ve been studying Magoosh’s Flashcards but it’s been pretty boring and the definitions are dry... I just downloaded this and within the past 15 minutes I have remembered at least 20 new words!! The funny pictures and word associations make remembering the definitions so much faster. The difference is astonishing. This app is amazing, great work!.Version: 1.0.11

Great appGreat app! Super helpful to learn vocab. I particularly love the sentences and ways to remember the words. They are more applicable than the sentences in books made by big test prep companies. I.Version: 1.0.22

Great AppThis app is exactly what it says it is. Crazy that it’s free with no ads. But I’m really enjoying studying with it..Version: 1.0.16

Dare I Say the Perfect GRE Vocab Study Buddy? When it comes to studying for the GRE Verbal section I’ve tried them all: Magoosh, Kaplan, you name it. They’re bloated, poorly designed platforms for selling you more tutoring services that you don’t necessarily need. Then in my search for a GRE vocab app that was focused on expanding my vocabulary (and nothing else) I found this app and I felt like my prayers had been answered! All of the core features for rapidly ramping up your vocab skills are right here at my fingertips, finally! Bravo!!.Version: 1.0
