✓ Game was good but…I really liked the game but I deleted it for two reasons. I don’t like that the games went back and forth forever, I want to play a round and move on to another opponent. Having 10 open games at once too much. Allow for a way to end the game. Number two the notification circle would never go away. I don’t like having the red numbers all over my Home Screen. Please program it so they disappear when the game is opened..Version: 3.5.0
✓ Really hate itI’ve been playing songpop for about 8 years, through games 1 and 2 and through so the changes they’ve made I’ve seen positive and negative changes. This is a whole new game and I really don’t get it. The cost to remove adverts is £9.99 a month. You get other perks for that aswell but with all the adverts right from the start, it’s impossible to get a feel for the game and what the whole point of it is. They do offer a months free vip trial which is something but I think the would benefit by not showing you adverts at all for the first couple of days to start with to give you the feel of the game and then start the adverts and offer a free month trial, because going straight in with the adverts when you don’t even understand the game yet is too off putting and just makes the game feel pointless and I won’t even attempt a free month when I know the cost that’s waiting at the end. So summary. Upon downloading the game. Don’t offer vip or give this perks but avoid the adverts for 2 or 3 days so we can get to understand the game, then discuss vip and the added benefits vs adverts then at least we’ll already understand what it is we’re playing..Version: 1.4.1

✓ Don’t like the multiple choiceIt’s a good app but they do pick obscure songs that you have to be like a savant of 50s music to know. Like I’m excellent at it and I find myself guessing on a lot of them. And the worst part about it is that they play the clip and then you are given choices. I prefer another format which would be they play the clip of music and then you answer it vocally artist and song. There was an app that had this but they updated it to where you can only play friends so that makes it harder as opposed to playing random opponents..Version: 3.2.1

✓ Not all bugs have been fixedSince this app premiered many of us were looking forward to some new games to play. One in particular has a thorn in many people’s side and needs to be addressed. I’m speaking of the live group game (everyday at 5pm). Many of us consistently get a “low wifi connection” during the game, the ghost randomly kills us off by stating that we guessed incorrectly, sometimes it won’t let us revive, we can guess all the songs correctly and timely only to get to the end see “better luck next time” and has started to take our (imaginary) money for team spirit but then all of your teammates disappear from the game for a level. ✓ ExtortionatePlayed a couple of games and then deleted the app. You start off with only one playlist and a handful of songs which get repeated in every game until you upgrade, even then you only have two or three different songs after an upgrade. £9.99 EVERY MONTH for no ads and different playlists is an absolute joke, just extortionate there’s no need for it. ✓ ReviewI enjoy the game so much, but you creators need to understand that not all of us could pay premium, I believe that ads should want to make us get premium so you can get money, but at the same time you should understand that not all of us could afford it and I think that ads should be no longer than 15 seconds like are you for reals making them ads be 45 seconds, almost a whole minute like I think that’s so unfair, if you were to fix the ads to be at least 15 or even 20 seconds that would make the game more enjoyable and less boring. ✓ Not goodThe gameplay itself is typical SongPop, which is good. Everything else about this game is awful. I get that they need to have ads in the game, but every time I see one, there is no close button after the ad plays. Only a button to download the game that’s being advertised and brings you to the App Store. Also, part of the tutorial is to challenge someone you know. Nobody I know is playing or wants to play, but the game keeps forcing it on me and the only way to get around it is to force close the game and start it again. I Loved Song Pop 2, I just got board. Song pop 3 is just a shell of song pop 2’s former glory and former self. Almost Everything is locked behind a pay wall or you just can’t access it yet. I have yet to see another app that doesn’t allow you to change your profile until you reach a certain level. This is a disgrace, only basic playlists are available, bands or artist. Sorry but you’ll have to wait. This is bull, I should have access to those. Also the amount of ads on this is insane. No worry if you don’t buy the ridiculous premium, don’t worry watching all the ads should cover the cost in about 15 to 20 maybe 25 ministers if your lucky. The ads are Atrocious, they all last about 30 seconds and even after that the time they take to load and how long it takes to exit the ad by how long it takes the x to come up is terrible. Then we get to the bugs. People bugging out for infinite game, playlists not loading, the switches for preferences not working or working too late, misclicks when no misclicks, and everything else in this app or at least it should be called a bug. There is only one tournament available (classic gives like 7 to choose from), and the playlists play the same 10 songs over and over again. ✓ Needs workI played the original,SongPop years ago and wondered how it was today. The concept is solid. Implementation still needs work. Too many song clips start with the artist singing the title of the song, which removes all guessing. Others start with a generic intro or pause in the song. Some song clips feature vulgarity, so be careful around kids since there is no age rating mechanism. ‘Gangata’s Paradise” has LV listed as artist rather than Coolio. The “report song” feature appears to lead to a black hole; no response or change ever comes. The “piano pop” playlist ought to be Sara Bareilles, Billy Joel, Jerry Lee Lewis, Randy Newman, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, Elton John… you know, pop piano players. Instead it is a bizarre collection of synth and guitar-driven songs. There are so many opportunities for improvements like these. It would be nice for the developers to let crowdsourcing work it magic for QI..Version: 3.1.0
✓ Nothing Like It's PredecessorAbsolutely AWFUL! I'd give it no stars if it was possible. I don't think a game on my phone has ever made me so angry. Laggy, no end to the game with a player, it just goes on forever, and if you want to earn coins after a VERY short period of time, you're expected to pay real cash for more time or go premium. Despite if you have players in queue waiting in turn to play, if you go on to play without purchasing gems or stones or whatever they're supposed to be in the Shop, you earn NOTHING for winning. I'm deleting this game. I loathe greedy games. Song Pop 2 manages to be fair, and the desire to fund it with real cash by purchasing stuff or going VIP is easy and doesn't feel manipulative at all. ✓ Got a couple of issuesIt’s hard not to compare this to the predecessor, SongPop 2, but that had a few solid features this one is sorely lacking. First of all, the playlists. Why on god’s green earth must we endure an ad in order to play anything different than the automatically selected playlist? SP2 had a system that made sense and was very good where a player could spend in-game currency to play the playlist and could cycle through three of them without being forced to watch an ad every time we play something new. I could see an ad to unlock it as a reasonable trade off, but not every time. It’s not worth playing any other playlists anymore, which is incredibly disappointing. Another feature missing is the hold to extend the audio. It’s disappointing to hear a good song and click on it fast only to be punished by it skipping. Again, in SP2 you could hold a song and enjoy it a little longer. This has been replaced by the option of a second chance in the event of a miss click, which is helpful. I feel like this could be an option to toggle in the menu. so far as I can tell, it currently isn’t. Lastly, the playlists variety is severely lacking. This is very likely a music label problem, where not all the rights carried through between the games. It’s unfortunate, but I fear there isn’t much the devs can do about it. Hopefully in future updates, they can expand the library. I would expect this to be a bigger, better version of the previous game, but it isn’t. ✓ Great game but 1 single mechanic ruins the gameI have been a loyal SongPop player since the first installment, but by far this is the worst one yet. I don’t know in which part of the game it begins to be implemented, but as a PSA to those that are unaware or are still getting into the game, THERE IS A COIN & XP daily limit. I understand that this is implemented along with the ads that appear every other game to motivate you to purchase their Premium pass that remove these limitations. But after loving this game until I reached Lvl 30, I began to encounter the coin limit after winning 4-5 games and after the game informs me that I have reached my limit, it motivates me further to uninstall this game. I can suffer through the adds but when the coin limit regen rate is +5 coin every 5 minutes, I have to wait hours just to play 4-5 games where before I was able to play freely until reaching level 30 for hours which I enjoyed a lot. You have to be Level 25 in order to even Like a song, you have to be level 15 to Chat with friends, that’s right the ability to CHAT is locked behind a Level wall. Something as simple as changing your profile pic will require you to be Level 16. This in its self wouldn’t be such a problem, if the game didn’t have what it call a “Experience Cap”. You can only earn so much. EXP a day, you can break that cap, by using the games premium currency, which means you will have to spend some money, just to level up! This makes it really hard to stay engaged in the first place, I like the idea of being able to play against another person all while discovering new artists you thought you’d never be into, but this game makes a lot of weird choices, I’m not a big fan of all these Level restrictions, why must I be a certain level to customize or like a song I thought was pretty cool? I have Apple Music so whenever I find a song I just look it up on there and add it to my library, and this is one of the games strongest aspects, discovering new tunes. ✓ If you have the coin...SongPop has generally been a game that forces a premium on you for user benefits; but in this version, it’s even more pushed onto the player with my least favourite feature added, which is the daily gold and exp cap. The game perpetuates a need to pay over this hurdle in two ways: you can either buy the premium (which is $9.99/mo, overpriced for a game of this nature), or use gems that are given from time to time, or bought using the in-game store. And the game has no shortage of reminding you that there’s always the option to pay for a premium by annoying you with reward blockades that always offer a premium reward bonus even if you’ve completely refused to take the premium multiple times. Other than the obvious cash grab the game presents, it’s an average “guess the game” quiz that only has a few feature additions and UI changes from its previous iteration in SongPop 2. Some of the response times are rather slow, especially on rewards blockades and the song library. If there is something that I can appreciate about this game compared to the last, it’s that unnecessary notifications don’t flood my game... for now. ✓ You messed up a good thing!The worst thing that SongPop ever did was make two versions and try to merge them. Classic will always be infinitely better with more playlists and it’s easier to navigate. The parties were in one place and the rewards were good. Having to switch between two apps to fulfil daily challenges is ridiculous. As soon as I’ve finished my playlists I will be unsubscribing..Version: 3.5.3

✓ Deleted this gamePlayed original SongPop since it started and love it. This is just dreadful and quite honestly appears to be a money making machine. I didn’t like any of it, no gaps in between songs, fancy cartoon badges etc etc etc along with pop ups all of the time. It looks like they are starting to phase the Classic game out. ✓ $99 a year for premium? You have lost your mind.I’ve been a fan of SongPop since I was a young teen and have followed each game from the start, even purchasing on switch. This version has RUINED SongPop. First of all, you can’t save up coins to purchase playlists like you used to, you either have to buy them or watch an ad EVERY SINGLE TIME you use it. This takes the fun away from collecting playlists, as you have access to all of them as long as you watch a full 30 second ad for every single 20 second long match. Next, every feature you can possibly imagine is something you have to learn by leveling up 10, 15, 20 levels in order to get. I can’t even LIKE one of my favorite songs because I’m not at level 16 yet! Oh, and did I mention you have a CAP on the coins and XP you earn? But don’t worry, premium would take care of that for the low, low price of $99 a year. Are you people insane?? You have ruined this game. I’m so angry right now..Version: 3.10.0
