✓ Nice but needs fixing.I’ve been using this app for 2 days with my boyfriend, its a great use of interaction with him as we miss each other a lot. but i opened the app this morning and it says that there is an update, and the only option of the app is pressing the button to update it; and it would take me to the app store but no button to update the app and only say Open. ✓ One does not simply lock Dark-mode behind a paywallI got this app a couple months ago for me an my long distance girlfriend. It’s a basic and simple setup, we send each other little kisses and such, it’s nice to just check in on her. But today I open the app and find that the new update has made it so that the option to keep it on Dark Mode like all my other apps is now locked behind the subscription for Obimy+ Now I understand that as a company you want your product to be monetized and I’d be tempted to sign up for the extra emotions alone of it weren’t for the fact that it would be too much money in a month alone for not enough in return. But putting Dark Mode, something that other apps allow for FREE and sync to whatever mode your device is on, as part of your subscription system is not a good move. I can’t handle bright light, I rely on dark mode a lot, and if this continues on I’m going to have to stop using this app. Forfeiting user accessibility is not how you make a profit. If you’re that desperate for money, just make the app itself cost like 2-4 dollars to download and let everything else be free. ✓ Update took away my PAID add-onsI used to love using this app as a way of being close to and showing affection to my child in a way they were receptive to; and we really enjoyed bonding through this — so much so that I PAID FOR additional features so that I could “connect” with them in more ways. Cue unexpectedly losing these features because the developers decided they’d rather charge 💰monthly, not to mention our favorite — cuddle the cheeks — is gone anyways (not that I’d pay for a subscription for such a simple service, regardless!). ✓ Slow and you have to pay...The app is cute and it's a really good concept, but there are MANY issues with the app. Firstly, this app takes FORVER to set up. The phone number part took 10 minutes to load before i even got anywhere.. Also, once you get into the app you get "connection error" after " connection error" even if you have a really good connection. Don't forget, the update issue. The app told me that it was going to update for better actions, but it stayed on that screen, and i never even had time to play around with the app with friends. Another thing, the colors you pick and most of the actions to do against your buddies you have to pay money for, which is ridiculous on how slow the app really is. It's not a super great app, and i can see the intentions of it , but it does not need to be so dramatic . If it was faster, a little bit more simple, and had more actions that didn't cost money it would be a fun app to do with friends !.Version: 2.3.17

✓ Stopped LoadingUsed to love this app and recently started using it with my partner, but today is randomly stopped loading. My widget shows a black background with a random yellow obimy, when previously it was my partner's obi. I can't open the app because i'm greeted with a black background with a blue fuzzy "aura" loading thing. Even after restarting, updating my phone and checking my connection it still won't work. I tried uninstalling it and it won't even load the reinstall. I think this app has some more hidden issues that seem to continuously affect the user's and it's not being properly addressed. ✓ Fugly freakin updateWell well… where do i even start with this one. i downloaded obimy as recommended by a close friend of mine - absolutely fab, i thought to myself. i shared it with many of my friends and even bought all packs within the in app purchases due to how much i enjoyed the cute, funny and, entertaining emotes. however, when i opened my iphone today and saw a new icon on my home page, i thought “hmm, something a bit different” and nothing more. oh boy, i was in for a trick (no treat included). as i opened the new app to update my mood and give a few kisses, i found an ugly surprise!! the app has now COMPLETELY changed the positions of the characters so that it is formed as thought we are the Plum Pudding Model of atoms in orbit. not only this - there is also the fact that we now have to SUBSCRIBE for these new emotions; might i add that the range in new emotes are quite poorly chosen and thought out for. i would have had no problem with paying an additional £1.29 or so, like my previous purchases, however this time i was asked to pay monthly payments??? furthermore, this new ‘create your own’ is very weird, and ALSO asks for subscription. if it was not obvious, i am very upset with this update and i wish that everything went back to normal, INCLUDING, MY CLOTHING SIZES AND WISHLIST COLLECTION WHICH HAS NOW BEEN ERASED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!! ✓ Fake updateI got this app to communicate better to my long distance boyfriend and thought it would be cute. I downloaded and at first it was very cute and nicely designed. Simple but perfect. Receiving answers on check-ins of a loved ones mood is unclear and there not much clear communication back and forth. This is worsened by the fact sometimes notifications never go through, for anything or anyone. The unstoppable spam of many touches you had missed or couldn't get to is annoying, especially if some are days old. could use a filter for relevancy, like when they sent it and/or what their mood was set when they sent that. ✓ The app stopped workingHi, when I downloaded this app I thought, and still think it is very cute for me and my partner, but I haven’t had this app for a day and it stopped working and said that I need to update this app but it appears to me that it doesn’t need updating, so then the app stopped working. I’ve tried opening and closing the app and also tried to delete it but it still isn’t working. ✓ Decent, but has flawsMe and my friends all downloaded this app to keep track of everyone’s current moods! it worked out great, we all had a fun time joking around and licking and touching eachother multiple times. although it was very fun, after a few days the app stopped working, from there i got rid of the app and have downloaded it about a week later. also, i feel like the app is trying to get too much of my info which scares us, in the app you can input many things. i think it is too much info which may be absorbed into the app, these things contain bra size, shoes, jeans etc. another thing, the app does feel quite boring, you can only do 5 gestures to friends if you do not or can’t spend money, maybe if you made gestures free, or added more gestures for people to use! you maybe can also input a few minigames which you can invite friends to play or play alone. this aspect could attract more people to use your app. taking all of these things into account, i will keep the app for my friends’ purposes but i probably would not recommend it to others unless some of these bugs and flaws change. 😋.Version: 2.3.17

✓ Something's WrongMe and my boyfriend were using this just an hour ago and it worked fine. I recently changed my phone's region to US (to check something with another app) and them back to my original country region, Saudi Arabia. That must've triggered a bug. Now, whenever i open the app, it shows the logo animation for a few seconds then shows me a blank white screen with nothing on it. It won't go away. It just stays like that. I've restarted my phone, then deleted and reinstalled the app twice and it still won't go back to normal :( PLEASE fix this issue asap. ✓ Great app, but one problemI’ve loved my experience on Obimy so far and have no complaints but, I have noticed that when I get achievements the colours and accessories don’t get unlocked like the senses do. Say for example, I got an achievement that unlocked a certain set of earrings and the ability to slap someone, if I go to customise my obi, those earrings will still be locked but the slap sense will be unlocked. Is this a common bug, and is there anything that can be done on my end to fix it?.Version: 4.0.7

✓ Great app, just needs adjustingMy opinion is that this app is great for me and my friends, so fun and me and my friends had a great couple of hours playing with this new app. But the app is now telling me ‘URLSessionTask failed with error: An SSL error has occu…’ I’ve tried re downloading a couple times, turning off my Wi-Fi and re starting my phone. ✓ Quite disappointedReally loved the app, my partner and I enjoyed sending little things to eachother. Then less than 12 hours after download, got kicked out and sent back to the login page, to which wouldn’t let me get past that point, just kept letting me sign in and then taking me right back to the sign in page. ✓ Adorable & Great IdeaHey I remember the writing of the review before but now I need to write another because of the stuff that is happening to me, the app has been bugging out where I’ll randomly delete my friends on the app so I’ll be very confused and try to reload the app or even restart my phone. At this one I was getting very sick of it so I just had to log out of my little account and then log back in but the Apple ID just won’t work and it is very frustrating to have to do that, and then not even be allowed back into my account. ✓ Suggestions:)The app “Obimy” shouldn’t only be the way to interact with you is by other people. The app could use a random time notification like let’s say you have no friends and your upset or whatever that may be, the app should send you notifications maybe every 15,30 minutes or maybe every hour because i don’t have anyone that uses this app but i’d like it if it sends you hugs, kisses or whatever randomly and not just from people. If you don’t know what to put as your emotion, you could do a tiny quiz on how your feeling it will pick the emotion for you weather it’s happy, sad, based on your answers..Version: 2.3.26

✓ ImprovementsI find this app very fun and very cute as does my girlfriend, however, there are many ways I think they could be improved in order to make it better. Recommendations 1. Be able to set it as a widget. I think it’d be more appealing if we could see the actions done to the character on our Home Screen rather than only seeing it when you click on the app. 2. The colours from the actions involving other parts of the body should match the character sending the movement. 3. Definitely more actions e.g high fives, poke, head pat, forehead kiss, boop nose. A section for dances would be cool eg. wiggle, worm, wip and nae nae (though I’m not sure if that’s possible for the makers lol). 4. Have a wider selections of emotions to send to partner eg. angry, excited, tired, horny, hungry. 5. Fix bugs. The actions sometimes doesn’t match what the other person sends. ✓ Sign in issue.Hey! Awesome app. Love the ability to communicate feelings with my S/O while being far away. One issue, after a weeks use, I can no longer sign into my account. It is as if it were banned. It started this morning when my obimates were not seen at all. I then logged out to see if it would change much, and it of course did not work☹️. Every time I tried to sign in, it would load, then send me back to the sign in screen. This issue occurred on my iPhone XR (iOS 16 Dev Beta 4) and iPad 8th Gen (iPad OS 15.4).
