✓ DID YOU KNOW THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE APPLICATIONApplications that do not make it clear that the is a cost involved and in this case quite a considerable cost are crooked and they make it as Duffy as possible for you to cancel the automatic week in week out charges. It is no good the developers arguing that they made it clear once you have downloaded the App because it as already cost you the lost data allowance, do not support these crooks, I have come to believe that Apple is an honest and trustworthy organisation well if they allow this sort of thing, think again..Version: 3.4.0

✓ Repeatedly fails to identify plants correctlyApp is well designed and easy to use but the actual intelligence in the app is flawed. I tried to use the app on multiple occasions to identify plants and it repeatedly got it wrong. For example an Australian tree with gum nuts on it was identified by the app as a mango tree now I know that the tree was some sort of Australian native tree but I wasn’t sure which one. It was absolutely definitely not a mango tree, which doesn’t even come from this continent. Writing this review so that the developers to the app improve it..Version: 3.16.0

✓ Clunky and doesnt workWas immediately asked for a review upon opening before I've even had a chance to look at anything on the app. When identifying, a message ("did you find what you were looking for?") comes up before you've even had a chance to see the results. The other results are covered by the unnecessary message and then the options from there only take you away from the results you're trying to see. You know those apps/sites that are fake and built by emulating existing ones and you can tell something's off bc nothing rly works right? That's what this feels like. ✓ Misleading, Takes Money Without Adequate ConsentI foolishly downloaded this without reading the reviews. In the free trial I scanned some plants and it helped me identify a few health problems in my garden, so I was pleased with it, but the $10 weekly fee was way too high. When I cancelled the free trial and gave price as the reason, it offered me a discount of 12.99 per YEAR. I should have known it was too good to be true, but I looked carefully at the offer and it said “Includes ALL features” so I went for it. Once the payment went through, it became clear that the 12.99 was for a basic subscription, not the premium level that I had had in the original free trial. The offer was a blatant lie. I feel frustrated and embarrassed that I lost money this way. Lesson learned..Version: 3.11.0

✓ I feel scammedI tried out the free week subscription and checked the box for opting out of automatic renewal. I tried it for a week. It worked well, but not well enough for the price of $8/week when I was mainly using it for hiking once a week. I thought I canceled my subscription 3 times and yet was still getting charged months after. I obviously have a problem with this because 1. I never intended to sign up for a subscription. 2. You can’t cancel in app, you have to go to you Apple subscriptions in settings (not intuitive/first subscription that I didn’t even want) and 3. Now my account won’t allow me to download anything else because i finally figured out how to cancel and it’s after the $8 charge that made me realize they were still stealing my money. For $8 a week I want the exact plant I’m looking up to show up no maybes or close guesses. Exact plant. Update since developer response: they never addressed my main concern. I opted out and attempted to cancel multiple times. Why was I still being charged and why wasn’t it as easy to revoke my money as it was to sign it up? Other users are leaving similar reviews. This is not on the consumer, but the developers. If multiple people are upset about your application ripping them off, figure out how to stop. The service is not worth it. ✓ Too expensive, great conceptThis is a nice app. To pay $8 a week or even $50 for a lifetime I think would only appeal to the extreme outdoor enthusiast. Canceling was confusing because there is nowhere in the actual app settings to cancel. Clearly this has frustrated a lot of people based on the reviews. To cancel on IOS you go to the App Store, click on your profile, click on subscriptions, then click cancel. I never knew you could do this until I kept seeing the Developer continue to respond with “cancel in the App Store”. All in all, does what it says, but WAAAAAYYYYY over priced. In hindsight I think that’s all this app does, because it kept just sending back saying the plant was healthy. ✓ Not usefulI downloaded this app to identify some succulents I recently purchased so I knew how to properly care for them and this app is useless if you don’t sign up for the premium plan. It wouldn’t let me identify more then just one succulent and every time I tried to identify another one it took my straight to the page to sign up for the premium plan. All I wanted was the names of the plants. I don’t know if the app is making me wait a certain amount of time before I can identify another one, but even if that’s the case that makes this app unusable for me cause why can’t I just look up the plants when it’s convenient for me. You may find it easier to cancel the subscription if your apple pay is connected to Paypal, that was you can log into your PayPal account and cancel any ongoing payment subscriptions that way. ✓ Expensive and not so accurateThe fee that they charge is per week when it should be per month if even not annually. It automatically starts charging you at the end of the free trial, which is of course a shady business practice, but they will justify it saying many companies partaking this behavior. Aside from it, not being worth the money, and the arguably, unethical way they go about automatically charging you after the trial, the application was in accurate on about 30% of what we attempted to identify. It was wrong about 100% of the time when we just took pictures of tree bark to identify the tree without leaves and branches in the photo. From a distance of about 10 to 15 feet away. It would often give us a variety of descriptions for a tree that were in accurate. We did enjoy the layout and the additional information about the plant as far as perennial and annual and water needs and if it’s toxic but other than that I’m sure there are more cost-effective if not even free apps out there that may even be more accurate.Version: 3.13.1

✓ Needs some workThis app has potential. I didn’t need it so much for identifying plants, more so to identify what’s wrong with them. It does a good job at that but when it gives you solutions on fixing them, you can’t expand it to read the rest of the instructions. That section of the app does state that it’s in beta testing, and I have no problem paying a subscription once those kinks are worked out, but for as long as I have to Google the solutions after identifying them I’m not going to pay for it. And it doesn’t seem like there’s an option within the app to report problems or give feedback.
