✓ Adding Your Photos For Your App Icons.Hello! I really love this app! I just wish that you can upload your photos for your app icons. That would be amazing. I tried looking for this feature and like a button for this, but I couldn’t find it so I started using a app called Shortcuts it really helped me so I can upload my pictures for my app icons. So if you really would add that feature for it to be available, I would really love to use this app. If you would make that feature for this app then I would love that because the app Shortcuts takes a really long time to upload your photos because you need to make a new shortcut every time you want to upload your pictures for each app. That’s the reason I only uploaded pictures for apps that I really wanna customize, but not all my apps, because I have too many apps to upload all the pictures with short cuts, but if themify had that feature than it would be so much shorter to do that and would not take a long time to do all that process so if you would add that feature, I would love that!.Version: 1.88

✓ WidgetsDO NOT PAY FOR THIS APP!! Looking at other reviews I see this has been a problem for at least two years, even though through email they tell me they’ve been working to fix it. The problem is that once I make a certain amount of widgets, they all go blank and I simply have black squares all over my phone. During the three day trial, I remade my widgets multiple times trying to get them to stay, but they always ended up blank and now my trial is up and they are stuck that way. Obviously not an app worth paying for. They are very unhelpful over email, saying they are working on the issue but it isn’t their fault but an iOS issue, and they offered my a free subscription to several useless games but ignored my request for a subscription to this app so that I can actually fix my problem. Not sure how the other games would help me with that. Not worth paying any money as you will spend everyday either remaking widgets or looking and blank black squares..Version: 1.94
✓ RIPOFFThere is another app themepack, way better. You have to pay for this. On themepack you just have to watch a couple adds if you want gems. Then you can buy different icons (not using actual money.) Gems are like in game currency. Way better. The wall papers, widgets, and icons are awesome and basically free. Just watch Netflix while u play many adds. What I’m saying is, don’t waste your money on this. Go to themepack! Just make sure you have the app “Shortcuts” downloaded. ✓ Good app, but inaccessible to non-paying users.First of all, I just want to say that this is a fundamentally good app, and it’s a cool way to aesthetify your home screen. However, this app is very difficult to use without paying. You have to replace icons and widgets one by one if you don’t want to pay, because the “replace all” feature is locked behind a paywall. Unless you have a ridiculous amount of patience and unlimited time to spend clicking on the “export” button, you have to pay for this. (There is also no search feature despite the heaps of content on the app.) I understand locking certain content behind a paywall- the developers, artists, and programmers that worked on this app are talented and deserve to be paid for their work. However, making the app inaccessible unless you pay is not the way to do things in my opinion. Will be deleting Themify after this, as I cannot afford a subscription to this service..Version: 1.60
✓ Widget problemsSo I customized my phone as I usually do and I had to do a software update. After the update happened and I logged back in, all the widgets I had from this app were plain black. Even tho they were supposed to have pictures. Then I got rid of them and added them back in, still black. But this time when u tried to customize it the thing didn’t pop up. So know I’m stuck with three blank, boring widgets. They still haven’t popped up and it’s been almost a week. Of course this could be a problem with my phone, however my friend who has the same app and has a better model phone than I said that she was encountering this problem too. Going back to when I added the widgets back in, when you are at the ‘add widget’ screen I saw, you guessed it a blank widget. But I brushed it off thinking that it was just glitching. ✓ Need so much improvementI have the latest iphone but the app doesn’t work properly.. It would be a great app, however the clock doesn’t show the right time, always late and I have to delete the widget and make a new one to catch the right time..annoying. But the worst is, it makes my phone overheated I had to delete the whole app to not risk damage in my battery.. Since I deleted my phone is fine went back to normal temperature. ✓ Waste of moneyI was under the assumption that it would keep my layout and just change the look of the icons and the wallpapers. It does not do this. I bought the yearly subscription just to find out that it doesn’t even change the wallpapers, and it just throws all these new icons on your home screen and you have to redo your entire layout and folders with those new icons..Version: 1.88
✓ So frustratingPaid for a subscription but within a few days asked for a refund (emailed support 2x with yet to receive a reply). The app is not user friendly and is a hassle to download. App icons are downloaded as a short cut and does not replace the previous app icons, so you end up with multiple sets of icons, and have to one by one delete the previous icons. When you click on the app, it opens safari then opens the app, so unless less you leave Safari constantly running in the background, you have to close out safari each time you go into the apps. If you download the themed wallpaper or widgets, it does not set it automatically, it will save it under your photos and you have set it manually each time you download a new theme. Also the notifications only alert through the previous icons and not the current ones that were downloaded. The only positive thing I would say is there is a lot of selections to choose from, which is why I have a 2 star, otherwise I’d give a 1 star..Version: 1.37

✓ It’s great, butThemify is a super easy to use app that takes minimal effort to use their widgets and icons, but ever since the update, it’s gone downhill. There used to be separate pages for icons, widgets, backgrounds and themes. But after the update, there’s none of that. You can’t have all the icons to choose from now, you can only browse entire themes. It’s not as good as it used to be. Plus, most of the good themes on the app require a membership, which forces you to pay. Overall, great result, but not as good as it used to be..Version: 1.67

✓ Themes are cool but install is confusing, manual, and has errorsI installed the app and tried to follow the instructions to a T but still ended up spending quite a bit of time setting everything up. A couple call outs that were annoying: -The app never tells you that it doesn’t replace your existing icons. It simply adds the themed icons with shortcuts to the app info. So you have multiples of each app. I had to just assume I needed to remove the original apps from the Home Screen. -Literally over half of my apps weren’t auto paired so I had to manually go through the ones I wanted on my Home Screen and save the themed version. -I have had so many issues with applying the themed widgets to my Home Screen. Nothing seems to work. I save the widget in Themify, go to add it to my Home Screen and the themify widget is just black. I’ve done so many different troubleshooting techniques with no fix. So I end up having a widget on my Home Screen that doesn’t match my theme I put in place. Additionally, when I go to the specific widgets section in themify and save unique widgets, they literally do nothing and there isn’t a way to add them to my home screen at all. I have no idea where the saved widgets disappear to. Overall I love the concept of this app but there are gaps in the instructions and issues with the install of some of them content. However, first bad, you have to scroll through ALL of them to find what you want. When you install the icons, 2nd bad, it doesn’t delete the original ones so you have duplicates!! I finally got it all set up and it was beautiful!! I loved it!! Not so great, 3rd bad, that the icons are actually shortcuts that go through Safari to connect. Went through all the hassle to get it all set up and discovered, 4th bad, there is not a clock widget for every theme!! So now I’m limited to the number of choices because I like a clock on my homepage!! Also, 5th bad, it does not show notifications on the shortcuts!! Doesn’t Work as expectedReally difficult to set up, and impose to customize the icons to the actual apps that you have installed—you can only customize icons for the limited list of apps that they have. Also the custom icons operate as shortcuts, they do not replace the actual app icons on your screen. Setting up the app generates the custom shortcut icons and does not replace the actual app icons that you already display on your screen. You would have to manually go through and delete the original icons from your screen and then utilize the custom icon shortcut, but be careful not to delete the original icons for whichever apps they don’t have icons for with Themify. Ultimately, since it doesn’t work for all apps, you’ll be left with a mix between original app icons and themified shortcut apps, which sortof defeats the whole purpose of the theme to make everything matchy. Not worth the hassle and you could potentially make a mistake and delete apps thst you need but for which they don’t have an icon..Version: 1.47

After I chose my theme and all that, I had to manually select and download the icons which was very annoying. They worked once or twice, but now, no matter what I do, eg, choosing a new theme, restarting my iPhone, etc, the icons don’t work, it takes me to safari then says there is an error as the link is invalid. It just becomes a bookmark , and you have to move all your application icons. So, if you like Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram on your front page. ✓ Great app but no search optionThe app is great and has many options to chose from as well as teaches you how to apply the widgets/etc. However, there is no search option on the app and you have to manually browse through themes which takes too much time and effort. ✓ Is there something up with the update?I looked at this app because I wanted to make my phone a bit nicer and look less messy and this app looked like the best for what I wanted. I got the app and it all worked fine… until I actually wanted to look at the themes, icons, backgrounds and widgets. I looked at it and it tried to load and then — Nothing. It was entirely white (except for captions saying things like ‘popular’ ‘colours’ etc.). I am not sure if this is my phone (as glitches have occurred on multiple of my apps before, although not like this) or there is something wrong with the app. Based on previous reviews, it seems the app works and that there are no glitches or errors like this. If I am thinking it’s the app, then is the update the problem? Either way, it doesn’t seem I can use it, which is quite unfortunate seeing as it appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. ✓ Positives and NegativesThere are many different things about this app that make it good and bad. There are some great things that you can use without paying but not a great amount of them. Also when you find one you like, you can only use like 5 app icons. This is very frustrating but I had to go back and forth selecting adding deselecting reselecting and adding all over again. And after all that I find that they don’t even have all the apps!!! Like are you kidding. I had to go on shortcuts and try to exactly color match all the apps they didn’t have which took even longer. Another negative is that there is literally no search button for anything. You have to endlessly scroll for what you want. And even if you find what it is you are looking for. You probably have to pay or spend hours trying to add it to your phone. A good thing about the app is it has like 0 adds. Adds can be annoying so that’s a great thing contributing to the app. One really sketchy thing and mainly the reason I gave the app 2 stars, is that whenever you paste the apps on your Home Screen and click on it, it goes to safari to some website before it goes to the app. This is really questionable and I recommend fixing it. ✓ Eh it’s alright.I had trouble finding a Home Screen that you didn’t have to pay for. I eventually settled for one of the “popular” ones. I don’t really care what my Home Screen looks like, and just the four apps that have been decorated was enough for me. They just send you through a portal from Safari. I have to manually go to the App Library every time I want to use the apps. According to one of the reviews, you have to look for one of the ones that you don’t need to pay for. I was going to create my own icon, but I’m not sure it’s even possible to make one that matches a style in the designed themes since there is no gradient or glitter, and as I said, once I tried to create a design, it would not “find” my apps like Hushmail or iPlum. After I spent all that time getting everything rearranged, I went to click on one of my apps and it gave an error message saying the address could not be found 🤦🏻♀️. To me that is highly suspicious. Every time you change your theme you have to delete all of your old icons that are on your phone screen of which if you install all of them there are 40. ✓ AlrightA girl has complained recently and I quite agree. I wouldn’t say it’s the worst app ever, but it’s like when you go on your app the screen goes blank for seconds and then comes back. ✓ Good app, could be betterSo I downloaded this app and the first thing I saw on it were some really cool designs for you Home Screen… but a bunch of crowns. Which can only mean one thing, you have to pay for them. And about 99% of the app needs paying for. There are still some really cool wallpapers and app icons and widgets that are free, the the majority of them are. Maybe a few more that are free would be better. Second, is ads. You can barely scroll 3 or 4 designs without getting an ad. This is really annoying as it gives a terrible experience and you have to wait 15-20 seconds for the ad before you can really see the design. And then a few seconds later after you’ve scrolled through you’ll get another one. Less would be better. I understand that the above are the only ways the app makers can really make money but having less ads and less designs to pay for would improve it dramatically. ✓ I can do this for free on my own!!!Although this is going in the right direction, it’s not there yet. The way this works is you’re setting up the new icon as a shortcut from safari, so each time you open the app with the new Themify icon it’s redirects you to safari first which then redirects you to the app. This causes many issues one being that if you want to sign in using Facebook and you e set Facebook using a Themify icon, it won’t recognize Facebook and gives an error. Also you won’t see notifications from the apps you set using Themify anymore unless your go to your notifications panel and manually look for them. This is not ok, this is not a real theme app it’s an app teaching you how to use links which you can do this all for free on your own from safari by searching an image of good quality and following the same steps then you just have to figure out the redirect address of each app… you definitely need to do better than this!!.Version: 1.39

✓ Good, but….I liked the app, used the free version and downloaded all the icons free and it looks beautiful. Apart from the issue that if you get a message on whatsapp, text message, calls, emails etc you dont find out unless you open the app or if your screen is locked and it shows on it. Otherwise it wont have a badge on the icon showing you have a new message to read and new email or new anything. That’s terrible because e not practical . ✓ Just App Information!It’s an ok app, wasn’t expecting anything better but the reason I gave a 3 star review is because I liked this theme of widgets but when I looked at the list it gave me there wasn’t everything to match the widget with, like example when I hit the setting widget the settings app wasn’t on the list they gave me. Another things is that when I wanted to add a big widget for just some photos on my Home Screen I didn’t know how to apply it to my Home Screen, when I hit the help button it didn’t really tell me how to add it to my Home Screen it just simply said to hit “Set” and it’ll be there but it wasn’t. ✓ ThemifyI downloaded this app after reading a review in Mac Format. Initially the app appears to be really intuitive and easy to use and the themes on offer are gorgeous. However the app uses Safari URLs to link to the icons representing the installed apps which simply do not work. I’ve contacted the developer who to be fair have excellent communications and respond very quickly. However having followed their guidance of clearing the Safari cache the problem continued. Further emails exchanged and all they could do is offer me a refund and inform that they continue to work on fixing these issues. Strikes me that an app that relies on Safari links for icons to work should not be sold until absolutely confident it works. ✓ Ok. But photo bug.This is ok (I think there are better widget apps like this out there). The spacing and layout of fonts etc is a bit odd, however. But the main problem is that if you select a photo as the background, it puts a white line across the top of the mini-widget, for some reason, no matter which photo you choose or how much you zoom it in. Hopefully this bug can be fixed and the widgets can be more customisable in the future. EDIT: Also noticed that the time is usually wrong too! Sometimes slow by a minute, sometimes by many minutes! ✓ Don’t bother downloading this appI just purchased the yearly premium subscription and as cute as everything ‘looks’ it’s functionality is non-existent and just a real pain. You click on the downloaded icon and it opens a webpage then takes you to shortcuts before it opens the app. Then after it works a couple of times it just stops working entirely. So disappointed at people who benefit off these scam apps. You pay money for things that don’t even work. It claims you can through the website (unable to do this from the app) but they do not have a functioning website.
