✓ Do not use this company for bitcoinI’ve had my River account for several years. I received an email a week or so ago, saying that my account was under review and I could not use it. River continued, however, to make withdrawals and purchases of bitcoin out of my bank account even though I was unable to access my own account in anyway. I made numerous phone calls and sent numerous emails asking to please clarify what was going on. This morning I received an email stating that my account had been closed, today is February 28, 2024. It gave no reason specifically for why my account had been closed. Just listed a bunch of possible reasons that the account had been closed. The email also stated that they would be keeping my money until March 21, 2024, and then the money would be returned to my originating bank account. Not only is it a reflection of terrible customer service the way this was handled but also, an extreme lack of transparency. In addition, if you’re closing my account today in my account is unable to be accessed by me beginning today, then you should be sending my money back today..JettieSpaghettiVersion: 3.8.2

✓ Tax Lot TrackingRiver implementing automatic withdrawals was a major step towards becoming the best Bitcoin platform on the market. The only thing left is to integrate their tax lot tracking with addresses used exclusively with River and the platform will be perfect. ✓ Very DisappointedI was giving this service a trial run by sending some sats out of an account. Completed the entire sky-net like facial recognition scan & pictures of my ID etc. Received an email a couple days later stating that River did not approve my submission. I requested an explanation as to why they did not accept my submission & they did not produce any reason or answer. They only responded “River has a very robust security process in place because sending Bitcoin is an irreversible action”. Very poor excuse. The Client Service team was courteous, professional & tried to help me within their power. The ‘compliance’ team is useless. ✓ Shysters!I sent $1000 to River. They took over a week to review my account, telephoned to confirm me. By this time it was at least 10 days later. My account was worth $1065!! ✓ They’re rip off artistsI set up the account and tested it with $50 to buy BTC and then they emailed me to say they closed my account. I attempted to contact them now 4 times and when I call the phone number they reply with nobody is working in the office today. Please try again later or email them. ✓ Inconvenient - endless ID reviewWas excited to use River as they’re based out of Columbus just like my company is. Pretty good design and interface, but the process for KYC review is endless and intrusive. They ask for way too much personal and financial information for me to send my Bitcoin to a cold wallet.
