Concordia: Digital Edition for Positive User Reviews

This game deserves a much higher rating!Fantastic adaptation of a fantastic game! Truly one of the best “Euro” type games around (that fixes a lot of the annoying parts of Euro games) Unfortunately, when this app was released it was a bit buggy and so the ratings were low. But fear not, the bugs have been squashed and the app is now solid; after dozens, if not hundreds, of games in the past 7+ months I haven’t seen a single gameplay bug. If you like the base game, the “Season Pass” is well worth it; it gives you access to all new content that gets released. Especially nice if you have the physical game as you can try out new maps and expansions to see if you like them before shelling out the cash..Version: 1.3.1

Current version is brokenUpgraded to the current version today and the game constantly crashes. iPad Pro iOS 15.4.1.Version: 1.2.5

Awesome implementation of a great game! This is absolutely beautiful. The digital version captures all the glory of the original and has a clean, slick interface which makes it very easy to play. I can’t wait for the expansions to be released..Version: 1.0.4

Best zoom in feature of all IOS boardgamesI was a little afraid of not liking this adaptation at first cause it looks a little different than the graphics on the physical board game, but once you get used to it, it is seamless, and you really can tell a lot of effort was put into the making of this. The pinch zoom in/out on this app is freaking awesome, it looks 3D-ish and the map looks high definition and old worldly. Also like adding AI bots for online play against a friend (which the Agricola app never did). Other board game developers should learn from the making of this. Very satisfied..Version: 1.2.2

Update: Fixed and Great! (Old: Near-Perfect But For a Glaring bug)Update: Received a developer response saying that the bug had been fixed. I just checked and indeed it has been. I can strongly recommend this game and I appreciate the quick developer response! (Old: This is a fantastic implementation of a great game but I seem to have stumbled on a bug. I’m unable to place more than one colonist when playing the ‘Colonist’ card because it forces me to confirm the placement of the first colonist before I can place a second colonist. If there’s something I’m doing wrong or a fix is implemented I’d love to change this to a five star review.).Version: 1.2.5

Great Game, Great ImplementationI don’t know why this isn’t getting more buzz! Granted, I’m biased in that Concordia is one of my favourite Euro-style board games. Designed by Mac Gerts (not to be confused with the American politician with a similar name), Concordia is an card-based, action-selection game in which players take the role of Roman merchants who go trading in Italy or the Empire as a whole. It’s not difficult to learn and yet had good amount of choice and depth. This app is an excellent implementation. I didn’t even go through the tutorial, and was able to learn to use the app without difficulty. I did have the advantage of knowing how to play the game already. However, I don’t think that you’d have any trouble learning the game from app. The only thing that I would change is that I’d have a reminder of what your opponent(s) played on their turns. You can get this info from the game log but I think that a constant display would be better..Version: 1.0.4

ExcellentGreat digital adaptation of one of my favorite board games. There were a couple UI changes I was hoping to see, and those were implemented! Fantastic app and game, thanks!.Version: 1.1.6

Works great! Bad reviews out of date. Not sure why rating isn’t updated to reflect bug fixes. No issues! Great game..Version: 1.3.2

Crashes on iPhoneGame was awesome till version 1.2.5, now it crashes one turn into the game every time I play it on my iPhone.Version: 1.2.5

GreatGood boardgame and good implementation. I’d never played it before picking up this app. Tutorial took me through all the rules and halfway through my first game i had a good idea of how everything worked. Played the physical version that night and didn’t need any explanation from the veterans. Interface is both pleasing and functional. Undo action is very well implemented for getting your turn right. Only gripe with this app is that on an iPhone everything is so small - lots could be bigger for a small screen eg the tutorial text or selecting what type of citizen to spawn. The player aids like showing what you’ll get from each province really help for a beginner. Apple ID didn’t work initially but did after an update. so good to see some refinements still being done after release..Version: 1.1.5

Best Digital Board Game! This is by far the best digital game I’ve played on the IPAD Scythe, root, and raiders of the North Sea are go to games for me and now I have another. I’ve played other games by Acram and while the interface was great the games didn’t resonate with me but this one is amazing. I’m sure the table top version is great but this one is beautiful elegant and intuitive. If your in the market for a great euro don’t hesitate!.Version: 1.1.0

Great game now that bugs are fixedThe game runs smoothly and is awesome for anyone who doesn’t like timed/stressful games..Version: 1.2.5

Fun game I always wanted to playSimple rules, but engrossing strategy. The presentation is beautiful with atmospheric music. Gameplay is smooth and quick. All of the game elements works together. Excellent port..Version: 1.0.2

Keeps CrashingI just bought this game and really enjoy it so far. Unfortunately I haven’t even been able to get through my first game without it crashing every couple minutes. Hopefully this can be fixed soon as I do think this is a 5-star game otherwise!.Version: 1.2.5

TutorialI skipped the tutorial because I’ve played the board game many times. Realized on the first turn that I didn’t remember how to play and should have played the tutorial as a refresher. Now I don’t see the tutorial available anymore. Please add a button on the main screen to let us replay the tutorial. Edit: found the tutorial in the introduction rules. Gave extra star.Version: 1.0.4

Great implementationTook a little bit getting used to the graphic design/interface, but I’m happy I can now play this on my phone..Version: 1.0.2

Do the TutorialEven though I am familiar with the board game, I did the tutorial and it was very helpful. This is a super fun board game to play on my iPad/iPhone. I use both. (Learn to play on a bigger screen then it easier to know what’s going on on a smaller device).Version: 1.1.0

Another Outstanding Digital Board Game from AcramAcram is one of my favorite developers of fun, faithful digital translations of board games. I really liked their digital edition of Eight Minute Empire and Love their digital Istanbul. This is another winner. I had heard great things about Concordia but couldn’t play it yet since my kids are still too young to play mid-weight board games. Now I Can, and this is a very fun digital edition. I’m looking forward to all the DLC’s - Acram, when can I buy the Season Pass to get Day 1 access too all the additional content?!? :-).Version: 1.0.1

Great, but harder to play than the physical version. It’s too much work to get an overview of the whole board, and the card display. There are enough pixels on the 12.9” iPad. Allow us to zoom out, instead of having to use the Production UI. Also, change that to be wider. Scrolling down to see other’s production shouldn’t be necessary. When selecting the display, allow us to hold down a finger to see all the cards, instead of having to go in, scroll, remember what we saw on the other side of the scroll area, and then hit X. The game itself is implemented excellently. You just need to work on the UX..Version: 1.0.1

Amazing implementation of one of the best gamesAbsolutely incredible App. Looks and preforms stunning, and the game is truly one of the best games you can play with like a 4 page rulebook. Simple to learn very hard to get good at. It’s a game of perfect info so if you are good you’ll be better than others..Version: 1.3.1

Excellent adaptation!Excellent adaptation of a fantastic boardgame. Planning to get the expansions now that I see how well this was done. Hats off to the designers and developers..Version: 1.3.2

Fun but flawed (update: bugs fixed, game rocks)I picked up the game today and with one exception it is a blast. The tutorial is solid, the game is user friendly, and I can see why Concordia is so popular. The problem is that the game crashed a LOT. My iPad is relatively new but the game crashes nearly after turn. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. Update: the have been smooshed, there are no more crashes, and the game is fantastic..Version: 1.2.5.1
