Solo - Fretboard Visualization for Positive User Reviews

Love this toolA versatile and powerful tool to learn the fretboard and get fluent on your chord tone vocabulary. I use it for warm up every day and as an exercise workout on other occasions. Highly recommend..Version: 1.3.2

Brilliant IdeaThis app is a positive feedback monster. Can I do everything this app has me do alone, without the app? Sure! But it’s boring, and I just don’t do it. The genius here is that I get a little dopamine hit each time I hit the right note and move along in the changes. It harnesses the sinister power of gadgetry addiction and uses it for good. I’m now using it for guitar, mandolin, and voice. It won’t do anything for my “time feel”, but it will certainly up my fretboard visualization game. Intervallic Functions forever!.Version: 1.0

Perfect Timing (and iRig Compatible)In the last couple months I’ve dedicated myself to really learning the fretboard. In doing so I’ve been coming up with my own practice regimen that’s less than optimal, and wishing I had something like automated flash cards. I wake up this morning to find this app. PERFECT! I’m sure there will be lots of suggestions for additional features, but this initial version has the main things I want and need right now. I was also very hopeful that I could connect my iRig so I can practice in quiet and that seems to work flawlessly..Version: 1.0

Great app!I’ve only had this app for a day and it’s really helped me with my playing! The only thing I would suggest; I’m not a jazz fan. I’ve tried to listen to it and learn to like it for years but I just can’t. I get that this product isn’t really aimed at learning songs and is about learning intervals, but I’d absolutely love it if you could add some classical pieces, rock songs or maybe even some Spanish pieces. It would really help musicians like me to engage more. Keep up the good work! :).Version: 1.3.2

Start Here!Excellent improvisational tool. Start here with note detection and mastering the fretboard before venturing off into target note practice, intervallic pattern practice, linear playing, pentatonic scales, modal practice, altered scale soloing or practicing licks. This app will be added to my bibliography and cited in my dissertation! Thank you!.Version: 1.3.0

RayBrilliant so far.Version: 1.3.2

Ahmed GhedjghoudjLove it.Version: 1.0.1

Essential for serious guitaristsEssential for interval visualization, can’t wait for what they’re gonna bring to this app in future updates..Version: 1.4.5

Good method!Super cool app for learning the fretboard in the context of tunes! I wish it would show chords multiple times if they had a duration longer than one measure. Also would be cool to more common changes like a free variations on rhythm changes and more standards..Version: 1.0.1

Great practice toolIf you want to make this better you would add a feature that indicates to you which notes to play, and not just the intervalic values. You’d grab those beginner players too, and teach them the first step to using this app: knowing the notes on the neck. That would be a game changer for a lot beginners and old timers who never quite got around to it, and everyone in between..Version: 1.4.3

Nice app but one suggestionSeems like a great app and the tutorials included in the app are helpful to get the most out of the app. One suggestion would be to have the chords playing in the background so that I could hear say what the major 3rd sounds like in relation with the chord. That would make the app for me.Version: 1.0.1

Highly recommended!!I stumbled across this amazing app and I am so glad I did. I am using it everyday and it is really helping me improve my fretboard knowledge. It is very responsive and works really well with my guitar interface (Positive Grid’s Riff). The tution videos are really helpful in showing all the different ways the app can be used to practice, incl for ear training too. Haven’t come across any bugs etc, it is very polished and professionally done, and for what you get for the price (basically the price of a music book) - it is an absolute bargain..Version: 1.4.5

Great practice toolGreat practice tool.Version: 1.4.4

The app I’ve been looking forI can’t praise this app highly enough. If you’ve been practicing Tom and David’s methodology to learning intervals then this app is a godsend. While trying to practise this approach by following jazz backing tracks is a great you don’t get any feedback. By analysing the notes you play in real time this app shows you immediately if you are getting it right or not. There’s plenty of variety in both scale types and changes to keep you interested and challenged. And I’m finding it really useful for spending 5 free minutes in an otherwise busy day to get some practise in. It’s a great app!.Version: 1.0.1

Great for frtbrd vis.- just needs sound!Keep it up guys, and congrats on no.1 on music charts!!!!.Version: 1.0

The best investment you’ll make to improve your command of the fretboardProbably the most essential app for the serious guitar player. I’ve long been a follower of Tom Quayle, David Beebee and The Guitar Hour Podcast (which is where I learned about this app). Believe me when I say that Solo will revolutionise your guitar playing. Whatever your method of visualising the fretboard, Solo will help contextualise and strengthen the way you ‘see’ each intervallic function. The combination of exercises is limitless, offering fresh challenges each time you pick up your guitar. I am a professional guitarist: I run an online guitar course and I am a teacher at one of the UK’s best-known music colleges, so I’m aware of the importance of fretboard knowledge. I’m a big advocate of the intervallic, formula based approach to learning harmony on the fretboard. Therefore, I have recommended this app to all of my students, so they can improve their fretboard visualisation skills at home. if you’re serious about fretboard visualisation, Solo will be the best £15 you’ll ever invest in your guitar playing..Version: 1.0.1

Must have tool for fretboard visualizationI learned about this app by listening to “The Guitar Hour” podcast. Such an amazing tool to aid in fretboard visualization! Simply brilliant. The flexibility of this app allows one to drill all sorts of important fretboard visualization approaches in creative ways. Triads. Seven chords. Scales. Jazz standard progressions. There is a lot here!.Version: 1.3.2

Great jazz guitar trainerExcellent program for intermediate to advanced guitarists who want to improve their improvisation skills and learn the fingerboard. Excellent program I wish this was around when I was starting to learn jazz guitar..Version: 1.4.3

Seriously key learning toolI’m a couple days in on a self structured practice routine (one of the good things and hard things about this app, you have freedom and responsibility in deciding how you’ll use it.) Having learned scale shapes, chord shapes, caged system, etc. There has always been something missing, in the way my brain takes that information and understands how to use it in context, and then project it on the fretboard. This app is already bringing it all together. I’d say it has to be an invaluable piece of learning for any guitarist from now on. And, it’s reasonably priced, No monthly membership. Awesome. Great job fellas!.Version: 1.0.1

A really great concept and app - but!.....This app looks and feels amazing but it needs to be made clearer that it won’t work so well for an unplugged electric guitar. I tend to play guitar at night when my son is asleep! I now need to consider buying an audio interface for this to properly work for me..Version: 1.0

Fantastic practice tool.Tom and David have developed a practice tool that can help a beginner as well as an advanced player. I have had it since it went live and have barely scratched the surface of what the app can do. Solo is a part of my daily practice routine. Thanks guys!!.Version: 1.3.2

Love this but suggestions..Been using for about 3 days and love this, I play in different tunings on lapsteel.my guitar And in Eb on a strat which is difficult to retune to standard. Is there a way your tuning could be entered before you start for example Eb, I feel like I am learning in E standard and then mentally shifting a fret, which messes up the muscle memory part of the repetition. SECONDLY... A SHORT audible pip once you get the right note, turn on or off as required so that you look at the screen to fin£ the target note but then don’t need to once you have found it... even better a short pip in the key note you were looking for To confirm the accuracy of your pitch... big ask. I know. But these are the small observations I have made after @ few days of enjoying this app. As a lap steel player as well who might play in C6 or open tunings, I believe even without improvements this may be the best £14.99 I have spen5 this year. Thank you and congratulations. 4.9 stars.Version: 1.0.1

Outstanding applicationVery intuitive and thought out extremely well..Version: 1.4.5

WOWThis app is a game changer for the average guitarist/musician. Addressing chord changes while soloing has always been a struggle for me, this app is demystifying the process in a big way. I’m seeing major results after only a few days of moderate use..Version: 1.0.1

Great appOnly feature missing is the ability to add your own chord progressions. That would send this over the edge. Fantastic app..Version: 1.4.4

Fantastic ToolThis app is a powerful learning tool. If you want to seriously improve your knowledge of the guitar neck this is for you. I plan on asking all my students to pick this up. As much information as a well written guitar instruction book, but half the price. And it’s interactive!.Version: 1.0

Worth ten times moreThe Solo app is the perfect tool for learning not only the fretboard but the form and function of chords notes and scales. This tool will revolutionize how the guitar is taught.Version: 1.4.4

Simple and effectiveThe app has a clean interface and does what it says it will. I’m surprised and very happy at how effective it’s proving at helping me with fretboard visualization..Version: 1.4.5

For more advanced interval trainingThis isn’t a beginner app. I got this a while back and deleted it because it confused me. Now that I’m driving more head-long into theory and ear training, I’m finding this app extremely game changing. It’s made me think of theory in a new way, and it takes the work out of figuring out if I’m playing the right interval They even throw in tutorial videos and graphs of the interval shapes AND it works flawlessly with my iRig 2 interface Well worth paying for.Version: 1.4.5

Very useful. Two suggestions.Understanding and being able to find intervals in real time is critical to improving musicianship. I think this app will definitely help me with that. There are two features I can think of that would make the app better in my opinion. I’d like to see a built in metronome to optionally enforce steady time and it would be great if there was an optional visual representation of the intervals on a staff to reinforce recognizing intervals by sight. Thanks for a great practice tool.Version: 1.4.5

For less than half the cost of a lesson it’s a stealThis is the exercise regiment every teacher needs to do. This app provided me the training and exercises I kept asking teachers to provide. Tom Quayle is a gift to guitarists for making this app. So cheap and so valuable..Version: 1.4.5

Best Guitar Training App Out ThereWish I had this a long time ago. I’ve been follow Tom and buying his courses for a while now and I’ve always liked his style of teaching. As soon as I heard he developed an app, I was all over it. It’s very intuitive and there’s absolutely no fluff! The only thing I wish it had was a function that randomized the next scale after each time you complete the previous one..Version: 1.3.2

Brilliant app!I just started using the app and I can see that it will really complement my lessons. It was easy to use, although it was well worth viewing the tutorials, which are very clear..Version: 1.0.1

AmazingBeen waiting years for something like this app.Version: 1.0.1

Terrific interval trainingLove this app, and using as my daily training. Really gets my brain moving. To me this is a logical training device once you have learned your fretboard and basic patterns. If you haven’t learned the fretboard, this is actually a great training device for this as well..Version: 1.4.5

Awesome! My goals for 2021 was to be able to understand and grasp musical concepts on the guitar. This app is incredible and I’m already enjoying and learning at my own piece much easier than any other “lesson” I’ve taken..Version: 1.0

Great app, but just a suggestion. This is a great app, I love the purpose behind it. I feel with time it will greatly help me to become a better guitar player. However, I would caution saying this app could be suited for beginners. Personally in my experience most beginners have zero theory knowledge. And even for those beginners who are learning theory, I feel this app could be a bit advanced and maybe even a little discouraging for them. Beginning players usually benefit from song audio references, scale and chord diagrams and what not, and I feel this app has a different focus in mind. I would suggest aiming this app at the intermediate to advanced player in terms of theory, not playability. Some people may get the wrong idea if they don’t read all of the literature from the website. Other than that, keep up the great work!.Version: 1.3.2

PhenomenalA must have.Version: 1.4.3

What about singers! A new Instrument pleaseThis could be great for singers. All you need is a button on the main screen which when pressed emits the current tone expected as a short beep. This enables the singer (and players of non fretted instruments) to synchronise their pitch with the app. Also to re-pitch if they get lost. Voila a whole new market ! Simple BlueJazz.Version: 1.4.3

An incredible tool for improvisationOne of the elements I’ve always struggled with was being able to ‘see’ the changes on the fretboard quickly and therefore always struggled to target them well. Like most guitarists, I could hit a few chords in a row well but would inevitably get lost on the fretboard or get lost with what I was hearing in my head but could never execute it right. Eventually I would start to drop out of time and resort to returning back to blues licks to save myself. I got pretty good at faking being a good improviser but I always knew that the real musicians in the room knew what was going on This app has given me a fighting chance at actually staying one step ahead of the changes instead of 3 steps behind them.Version: 1.0

Solo is amazingI’ve been trying to contrive my own exercises to better learn intervals on the fretboard, and this solved *all* of my problems. One thing I particularly like is that there’s no gamification, so there’s no implicit pressure to abandon a practice session if you’ve made some mistakes. It’s a really well thought out and well-executed piece of software. I look forward to seeing what additional features they add after launch..Version: 1.0

Great AppI was hesitant due the price and the videos not showing what I was wanting to use it for. It is possible to plug the guitar in AmpliTube IOS (does not rely on the microphone), pick a simple pentatonic scale, ask to get a random sequence of 6 notes (starting and ending with the tonic), then you can find all these notes in one of the pentatonic forms of your choice. Once you find all the notes correctly, then you get a new sequence of six notes work with. It is perfect to get to know the notes in each of the pentatonic forms on the actual guitar, rather than on an image of the fretboard. It was worth the price..Version: 1.4.2

Brilliant! This is a brilliant idea and well executed. It could become a core part of my daily jazz study workouts. Looking forward to seeing some more changes from jazz standards - Oleo would be great - and hopefully also some 8 note ‘bebop’ scales....Version: 1.0

Good practice tool... butSuper great app. The only thing I want added is the ability to choose the chords I want to work on. So my only option isn’t just the songs that come with the app..Version: 1.3.2

SuperbAn essential app for those taking Toms fretboard visualisation lessons, and a stand alone tool for developing mastery, creative expression and ear training. Thanks Tom, you really delivered here 🥳.Version: 1.0.1

Exactly the tool I’ve neededRecently started learning theory from the ground up after nearly 18 years of playing. This app works hand in hand with all of the aspects I study and I nearly immediately had noticeable improvements in the way I navigate the fretboard. This app has quickly become my go-to for practicing on the guitar and also ear training. Thank you to the team behind Solo!.Version: 1.0.1

Game changerThis app if used properly will change the way you see your guitar fretboard forever. This thing has the potential to open your brain to see connections and patterns where before there was random bits and bobs. This could be the best gift you give to your musical journey..Version: 1.4.5

Incredible toolThis not just for guitarists. And it does fourths tuning. Impressive.Version: 1.4.2

No gimmicks, just real practice! As a guitar player of 30+ years, I understand theory and the fretboard. But putting the two together while improvising can still be a struggle (or to add flavor when soloing). This app is perfect for developing those quick mental and physical music theory connections! The “flash card” style practice sessions are fantastic for the player that can play with ease but needs to sharpen those fretboard navigation skills. If you are a guitar player that is beyond basic chords and scales, then this app is for you. Even if you are an advanced player, use this to improve your speed, accuracy, and sharpen your theory skills..Version: 1.4.5

Very efficientOver many years i have spent a lot of cash on music books, videos, cd’s, incompetent teaching methods, name it iv’e probably owned it. You could say that i am a well rounded guitar manipulator, as the saying goes “a player of many, a master of none”. This app is exactly what it says, it is a help- mate. Meaning, no matter what curriculum you choose it all comes down to putting your time in. This app will give you some very powerful platforms to work from, its up to you to perform those platforms. I would honestly and will, tell my friends about this app, because it has substance with only as much difficulty to challenge you to put your time in. For me, I have over the years been very fortunate to be in bands as a vocalist, not having to play guitar all the time. But really, within those bands I was left behind as far as guitar abilities. So, my point is, yes get this app, but don’t forget you must put in the time. You cannot avoid it, if you wish to fulfill your dreams, do your time. I wish you all of the fortune out there to get. Godbless And to those who created this app, job well done, i will use this app as a reference for work, and also when i practice. I practice no less than 3 hours a day, and sometimes up and to 8 hours. Goodluck Everyone Burley Lerux.Version: 1.0.1

Forget Caged or 3NPS.... This is the future of guitarI have used Tom’s approach on visualising guitar and I teach it to all of my students when it comes to improvisation, because it has TRULY changed my whole ethos when it comes down to learning the fretboard. Please do yourselves a favour and get this app after purchasing Tom’s ‘fretboard visualisation’ lesson on his website. In my opinion, caged or the 3NPS systems is completely inferior compared to the intervalic system. This is genuinely the way forward in guitar education..Version: 1.0.1

Great practice toolHave been using this for a few days now. Really makes you think about what you are playing and keeps the practice interesting rather than mechanical and repetitive. Kudos to the developers as the app is solid and intuitive to use. As someone who is not familiar with jazz it would be great to have some more rock/country/blues progressions to choose from..Version: 1.0

This is wonderfulIf, like me, you know your way around the guitar already (I can see every note on the fretboard and basic intervals already), this will sharpen and focus what you already know and take you further, quickly. This is not a ‘follow the dots’ or ‘do it like this’ package, it requires you to listen and play, your ear is already trained more than to realise, and this will sharpen it all while inadvertently adding multiple layers to what you already know. It takes discipline because if you short cut you will only fool yourself (different starting positions and patterns need to be used as much as possible), but I am already seeing and hearing things I didn’t know I could and it’s helping me choose more interesting notes. Highly, highly recommended for players who want to learn and are prepared to train themselves to do it..Version: 1.3.2

Fantastic toolPut in the work and you’ll see results almost instantly. I haven’t even been using it for two weeks and it’s already helped tremendously.Version: 1.0.1

A great practice toolA lot of helpful exercises and practicing tips in this app. I would rate 4.5 if I could simply because I have a lot of feedback suggestions that would improve the app even more. I would wait a few months to support Tom and David when the app is perfectly refined..Version: 1.0

Well worth the $$$I was hesitant b/c price but I have never been so pleased with an app. Fretboard visualization alone is worth the price. Highly recommended. YouTube training is top notch and free..Version: 1.4.5

Nice practise toolNice practice tool. A few things I’d like to see…1. It would be nice to be able to define my own chord progressions. Copy/edit the current ones. 2. It would be nice to be able to randomise the order of chords in an exercise, and the keybof the exercise. 3. Long shot: it would be nice to have a nice simple accompaniment playing while you play notes for a particular chord. Maybe bass and drums, or a subtle synth. Just something that established the chord so you can also hear the functionality of the notes. Also needs my favourite things, and moanin :P.Version: 1.4.5

Cant put it down! Awesome!!Fantastic tool to really help you learn and understand the intervals between notes. Can’t seem to stop practicing :) really useful and makes you think and be aware where you are on the fretboard in relation to the root note. Hands down fantastic app that if you put the work in you know will help you improve as a player. I have used both the internal microphone and an external microphone without any issue. I think a good tip is to calibrate often especially if you are changing something in your environment. There are also some great tutorials in the app on how to get the best out of practice and some tips. I’ve downloaded yesterday and have already put hours in without realising the time. Well worth every penny and more!.Version: 1.0

Good but could be betterI have learned a lot about my lack of fretboard knowledge through this app. It’s too early to know if this actually improves my playing or improvising. One feature I would like is to ask for is generating a single random note to improve fretboard knowledge. The scale exercises aren’t truly random. Unless you leave the session it will use the same “random” pattern. I would also like the scale exercises to repeat automatically like the chord exercises. Oh and the developers do not respond to questions..Version: 1.3.2

Incredible! This is a very clever use of technology to enhance guitar theory and practice. Seems crazy that it hasn’t been done before now. I have a good feeling at this stage that my knowledge moving around the fretboard will continue to improve drastically. Coupled with Tom’s YouTube videos this is a must for guitar players that may be lacking in some theory but appreciate that a little effort and hard work will pay dividends..Version: 1.0

Missing link of guitar training appsFor me it reduces nebulousness of all possible guitar neck exercises to a sequence of specific, bite-size activities which I can focus on day to day without feeling bored or overwhelmed..Version: 1.3.2

Solo = Awesome ToolGreat app, works as advertised, and let’s you get a lot out of it. The only limit is the effort you put into it..Version: 1.4.3

Great app but some suggestionsI really like the concept and execution of this app and have been using it quite a bit. It’d be nice if you could enter a random sequence of chords in a progression to practice, though. It would also be great to be able to pick any interval to target (not just the root, 3rd, 5th or 7th) in the ‘level’ settings. Similarly, it would be good in the scale practice section to be able to enter a sequence of intervals so any scale could be practiced.Version: 1.0.1

Forces you to think outside of the box!Really great first version of the app. Runs very smoothly, and microphone picks up every note very accurately. As long as you are proactive with setting limitations and boundaries in your practice, you will get lots out of Solo. Tune selection could be bolstered a bit, but the bare essentials are certainly there. Would also be cool to see the ‘repeat’ function included on the scales workout section too..Version: 1.0

Incredible tool! The Solo app has been an incredible tool in helping learn the fretboard and be able to navigate it practically. It is so worth it and can be useful whether you’ve just started your journey or have been playing for years. Definitely recommend!.Version: 1.0.1

Solo is amazingIf you are actively up-skilling your fretboard knowledge and applying practical theory, you have everything you need in Solo. Well done gents..Version: 1.4.5

EffectiveThese are the topics and concepts I learned in college. They will be very helpful to intermediate-advanced players..Version: 1.4.5

ExcellentReally great for getting you to think on your feet and ingesting intervals and different scales in a structured way..Version: 1.0

ExcellentWonderful app for interval based learning. Nothing out there comes close for building these skills..Version: 1.4.5

Contains a bunch of nice exercisesThis app gives an aspiring jazz artist a big arsenal of common turnarounds/pieces to practice with to build up a good core to further branch out from. My only suggestion is to expand the app to feature some further other instruments as well (such as piano)..Version: 1.4.3

Loads of potential, very smart app!I got this on a bit of an impulse purchase because I liked the concept. Actually though, this is a very cool app that I think it has the potential to help anybody make big strides when is comes to fretboard navigation and targeting intervals etc. The concept that your practicing here isn’t a new one and I like that there’s been no clumsy attempt to reinvent the wheel in terms of that - no gimmicks, or promises of shortcuts. The genius is in the way that the app makes this kind of practice so efficient, accessible and structured whilst leaving room for you to make the exercises as easy or as challenging as you like. There are lots of tutorials included, too. The note recognition algorithm is surprisingly good. They suggest use of an interface but I’ve been doing it via the mic with an unplugged electric guitar and it works (admittedly late at night in a quiet room!). Anyway, I can see this becoming a significant part of my routine. Not clear whether you can import new progressions or whether you can program your own: iReal integration would be incredible! That would be the next thing I’d want, but even without that there’s plenty to keep me busy. Great stuff! Don’t hesitate..Version: 1.0

Game changerThis app is amazing! An absolute game changer! THE most useful learning resource out there..Version: 1.0

Awesome!Absolutely packed with content and exercise variations. Well worth the price 👍.Version: 1.0

ImpressedI started playing jazz saxophone in primary school and guitar for fun. This app helped click the type of understanding of chords I had on the saxophone within a few minutes of use . I was surprised how intuitive it was. If I could make one suggestion it would be that I would like the option for it to listen through a usb interface so that I can use the app while there is background noise going on. I haven’t quite gotten the sensitivity right as it’s picking up the tv for instance as well. Other then that really impressed with how “simple” and effective this method is ..Version: 1.0.1

App crashes when trying to launchI just bought the app and this version is crashing when I try to launch it. I tried clicking the app support link before leaving a review but the URL took me to ‘page not found’. I’ll change my review if the app gets fixed but right now I haven’t had chance to use it..Version: 1.0.1

Perfect Practice ToolThe SOLO app teamed up with my iPad Pro, EVO 4 interface, and Headphones allow me to have a small footprint practice form near my bedside to learn and practice at anytime with ease. A wonderful tool and well worth the $15 US dollars. Bravo - Tom, David, and others involved!.Version: 1.3.0

Genuinely useful!Great app, never had a problem with it. Suggestion for the dev/creators: would be cool to feed our own chord progression to the app, as its note suggestions (with note or movement restrictions set up) could help composing unique solo phrases ☺️.Version: 1.4.4

Just awesomeJust awesome…nuff said!.Version: 1.4.5

No need to practice Solo again! This is a game changing app to aid familiarity with the fretboard and improvisation. Linked to Jazz Standards, it us entirely accurate and relevant. Thanks to Tom and David for bringing their teaching and practice principles to us in the most accessible way..Version: 1.0

This is a great appI’m not sure why it’s not possible for people to add their own tunes or chord changes to the app. i know that i have iReal that i could use, but i like the “game” feel of this app as well as the way it forces me to think in intervals & scale degrees & the like.Version: 1.4.4

The Best Exercise appNote detection works flawlessly. You have virtually endless amount of fretboard exercises, both for chords and scales. This was money well spent. Good job Tom and Dave..Version: 1.0

Jacob SingerA great practice tool for guitarists looking to take their game to the next level by playing through the changes. Well worth the money. Might feel pricey for an app but cheaper than an instructional book and better designed than most scale books. This app always has me working at my limits. It is frustrating in the best possible way because I know I am learning something new..Version: 1.3.0

Excellent!I've struggled with scale shapes / never able to memorize them enough to really feel like I'm able to solo on guitar musically. A short time ago I started to try soloing just using intervals (actually I was counting frets accross and up/down the strings and then associating the calculated number of frets needed to arrive at the desired interval). For some reason (I'm a bit mathematically oriented so maybe that's why), I was able to start soloing right away all over the neck in major scale (albeit slowly) using this method (something I really struggled to do at all using shapes, caged...). Enter this app a few weeks later which fits right into my new found wheelhouse. Started using it today and noticed my speed in finding notes increasing after only a few minutes of use. I have a long way to go and I've tried a LOT of different learning methods - this one is really feeling good! Great app..Version: 1.0

Best app for truly learning something of importance on the guitarThis is a fantastic tool for any intermediate to advanced guitarists to get to that next level of a practical understanding of improvising.Version: 1.4.3
