✓ Scummy cash grabWhy are there so many 5 star reviews with heavy complaints? Honestly, I offer my strongest recommendation to ABSOLUTELY NOT get invested in any of their stories. Don’t download this app unless you are actually made of money. To unlock a full story, it will cost you over 500 USD Even if you buy episodes, they cap how many you can listen to in a day They significantly reduce the “free episodes” when you get deep enough into a story (with no warning). There’s no way to keep episodes from playing automatically, unless you set a sleep timer. This results in accidental use of coins way more often than you think. Considering an episode can cost 4-7 coins for 8 minutes of mediocre audiobook… do the math. They used to have a premium subscription that would allow for (mostly) unlimited streaming, but they removed it. Obviously this targets their most avid listeners who are most invested in their stories. Worst of all, when I submitted my feedback, instead of a generic “thanks for the feedback” the customer service representative quoted company policy and the terms and conditions at me like I was some kind of lawyer..Cash Grab FMVersion: 2.6.1

✓ Not a great fan nowSo not sure if it’s just me or some sort download was the issue. But been using this app for more than a few months n let’s be honest. Purchasing any of the coins seemed pointless n if u have the time you could could simple enjoy the free videos n accumulate the coins necessary to listen to the next episode n also the free 5 audios after 24 hours seem like a pretty great deal. I lived listening to these stories while I’m at work but with the update this app has its almost garbage. And to top it off now I have ads! Even the purchasing coins seemed even more rediculous. ✓ Rip offI have been going back and forth with these people about being overcharged and then not getting the coin package I purchased. They asked me for a video of the purchase. Who records themselves making a purchase? I took that as a loss. Then when I did not receive the coin pack that I purchased, I screenshot the purchase and the page that showed that I did not receive the purchase. The time was clearly on both screenshots so there was no way I could use that many coins within a minute. They then asked me for a screenshot of the purchase. Conveniently, my purchase history says that I have never made a purchase. My banking info says otherwise. I have taken that as a loss as well. I went to another platform for my audiobook needs. It is actually better and does not spoon feed you small episodes. If you are wise do not purchase anything because you will either be overcharged or won’t even get what you purchased. This is ridiculous and it is sketchy to say the least. I’m sure it is also illegal for them to take money and not provide the services or products that were clearly paid for, but the legalities or lack there of is a story for another day. ✓ Don’t waste your timeI’ve been sucked into two different audio books in this app. At the beginning of the stories the release about 10 episodes per day, the. You have to buy coins to purchase more episodes if you want to keep listening. The further you get into the story the less episodes they release to listen for free daily and there’s more than 1000 episodes in these books with more episodes added often so it’s like there’s no ending to the books, the drama just continues to reel you in and before you know it you’ve spent hundreds of dollars to listen to a book. Not to mention, it doesn’t allow you to skip ahead but doesn’t tell you that when it allows you to purchase an episode further into the book, it uses your coins and starts the very next episode that you haven’t listened to yet, despite that it allows you to select whatever locked episode, and has the button to “purchase and play” that episode for a certain # of coins. It’s just a waste of time. Go buy an actual book that has an ending and that you don’t need to put endless money into to be able to finish it without dragging it out for a year or 2. ✓ Pay coins per listenI heard an ad for a story on Instagram, I followed and you had to download to listen. After the first 10 or so chapters you have to buy coins to listen to an unfinished story that has over 1,554 chapters. Each chapter is 6-8 mins long. You can listen to 2 chapters a day for free if you watch 13 ads!!! Yes THIRTEEN! I spent over $16 and I am only on chapter 180. Audio Books is cheaper. Our library allows you to download books for free. I can see if you had a monthly subscription to listen to whatever you want (not a subscription of coins.) but it would cost me $200 to $300 to listen to Saving Nora! Also buying coins is not an easy process. Instead of saying to continue listening pay “X” amount of coins… it just switches to the next totally different story! Then you have to arbitrarily figure out how many coins you need on the separate page to buy coins. So frustrating at this point I don’t care what happens in “Saving Nora” smh it’s a ridiculous scam and procedure! ✓ Ridiculous marketing scheme. Few good books with even fewer good voices.I got this app starting a new, mind-numbing job. Loved it in the beginning even though I had to sift through dozens of books just to find a couple I liked. Seems like most stories are the same or have similar plots. Like reincarnation or alternate reality. Crappy life to stupidly amazing life. Episodes are free but once you listen for a few days, they only release like 10mins per story per day listened. So instead of an hour or more of immersion, you only get a small bite and are left hungry for more. This would be fine, if the books were affordable. You have to buy coins which don’t seem expensive. When you look at the cost per short episode, you’re paying over $100 for 1 dang book. Clever but greedy marketing scheme. Saving Nora, Trading up, the Return and Crowns Obsession are my favorite stories to listen to plus several more stories. I’ve had a hard time reading books but these audio series are perfect for me, giving me the chance to envision what going on! The disappointing part of this app is now that I’m so engaged with these stories they start only releasing one episode a day vs the 8-10 a day!! I’m almost wanting to stop listening to the stories all together! I don’t like the fact I can’t stop the stories that I don’t want to listen!! I’d prefer to let the auto play continue the stories that are in my library not just random stories that I’m not interested in. I just wish that I could listen to the stories that I selected. You’re given free access to a singular content for only a couple hours before being directed to buy coins to purchase further episodes, at this time you’re automatically redirected to a completely different series. If you choose not to purchase coins, you’re allowed access to only two new episodes of the content you began per day. Episodes are only roughly 7 minutes long. The base cost of each episode is 6-8 coins, and 6 coins cost $.79. So each episode costs nearly a dollar. They have package deals, but the cost of each level of packaging varies wildly even from day to day. The first time you purchase a package, you’re given one of their better deals. After that, the options get even worse. The series I began reading has roughly 1200 episodes. Using their base cost per episodes, the total cost to finish the series would be nearly $1000. They count on you becoming engrossed in a series and charge more for the addiction. It’s purely predatory. ✓ A bit annoyingThe love story plots are pretty much all the same (billionaire this, rich guy that type of stories & most use the same names so if you’re listening to multiple stories it’s easy to get confused). The app gives you a few chapters per day (not animated like Facebook led me to believe) and after listening to the free chapters you have to purchase coins to listen to more episodes; however if you already have coins they will use ALL your coins to keep playing the current story instead of telling you that the free chapters have ended so you will be listening and not know that your using coins that you might’ve been saving to listen to a different story… unfair as heck! ✓ I hate to even give a starThe stories are ok. Good stories to listen to while you work or clean. You get so many episodes for free. The episodes are about 8-12 min long. Then right when you are hooked to the story, it will change and you have to have to pay or they will release a couple of episodes per day for free. So unless you wait a year or two to finish the story, you will have to pay. It costs literally hundreds of dollars to finish one story. You will easily spend $400-$500 per story. Then they scam you by having you do all these things like surveys and watching videos and following them on every social media platform but you never receive all the coins they have promised for doing all these things. Who pays that much for a story! These creators are here to take all your money in hard times and leaves you wondering how the story ends unless you can afford to pay the $400-$500 to finish it. It was okay, a bit far fetched, but I was getting into the story, I had spent a couple of pounds to get coins, but I was happy to wait for the new daily episodes, but suddenly these stopped, you had to wait for it to release one episode a day, so I watched the adds and earned the coins. But now without any warning, it won’t let me hear the next episode and has taken me right back to the beginning of the novel! I couldn’t afford the $100 US it would cost to binge listen to them all so I opted for the free daily 7-8 episodes. I was really enjoying the story, the narration was clear with a pleasant voice (not annoying like some other apps I’ve tried). But sadly the ending of this story is getting further and further away. They give you a certain amount of free episodes that are only about 10 minutes long and then after that you have to wait 24 hours before you get two more to listen to or you can buy coins to get any kind of decent amount you have to spend at least $10 and that might get you an hour and a half more two hours of episodes and considering most decent stories have thousands of episodes you’re looking at pending hundreds of dollars. I went into the app like usual and when I tried to click on an episode of an amazing story, it wouldn’t do anything. It would just not un pause, after ten minutes of trying to see what the problem is, I failed. So I deleted the app and got it again to see if it would work but surprisingly, it didn’t. I have been trying to deal with this problem for about a month now and this is me typings this review one month later. In that space of time, I have deleted the app seventeen times and nothing worked. I’m not full on hating on this app because it seems that no one else is having this problem and I also love the stories. If this is a problem with the app then please let me know. Now they’ve dropped everything! It’s only 2 free chapters and 100 free coins. The Saving Nora and Billionaire Bride books I’ve been enjoying have over 2000 episodes between them so at this rate it’s going to take me several years to reach the end! The coin bundles to buy are far too unrealistic, no-one is paying £100 to listen to these books, we know they’re designed to drag on forever and it’s a money drain if you fall into the trap of paying for coins. ✓ Great stories but a buggy appFirst, I have to say that there are some incredible writers who support this app, and I have really enjoyed there work, however the app leaves a lot to be desired and so I am writing this with the hope that thee developer will address these issues which detract from te enjoyment of their content. In short, there are two issues which really frustrate me. The first and arguably the biggest is the auto-advance function which either restarts your existing stories at the beginning making you lose your place (you can find it again fairly easily but it is a hassle), or launches random stories you have”t selected. I understand the value an auto-advance feature could bring if it advanced to the next chapter of the stories in my library, but this doesn’t do that and there isn’t an option to disable it so I find myself racing to press pause in time to stop it. The second issue is that the app randomly jumps to a different story randomly even when my phone islocked. It’s really frustrating to lock my phone and put it away only to have to pull it back out and respect my story because the app decided to go to a different story..Harlequin13!Version: 2.7.1

✓ This app is poorly designedAs stated this app is poorly designed and some pages/screens don’t even work. I purchased some coins and used it to listen to a few episodes on one particular story. I stoped and closed the app. When I stopped listening, I had a certain amount of coins remaining. I thought that I could continue listening to the two free daily episodes on different shows and my coins not be touched but I’ve noticed that my coins were reducing even when not using them.(I pay attention to what I’m clicking on and am not using the unlock feature) I feel like I’ve been robbed by this app and I’m disappointed. Between the completely sucking you in and then only releasing one episode at a time, they take advantage of consumers inability to walk away from a good book. After I bought coins, and when I fell asleep, I noticed, when I looked at the app that many of the coins that I purchased did not completely go towards the book I was reading, but also towards other books, which wasted my coins. ✓ It’s OkI love the stories. They give you enough free chapters to get you hooked and even offer you a free credit to buy coins in the beginning to keep you listening. The first 100 or so episodes I was allowed to listen in for up to 8 episodes, but I noticed the price for coins increasing the further I got into the story, and the number of episodes keep decreasing. I am now more than 230 episodes in and can only listen to 2 episodes a day. If I want to listen to more, I have the option to watch videos. It started out with 5 videos, then increased to 14, and now I must listen to 15 redundant ads before getting to listen to 2 more episodes. In short, the further you get into the stories, the more likely you’ll be stuck paying ridiculous prices for coins to a book that you cannot buy any where else.
