✓ Clean Interface with WidgetsThis calendar offers a clean and simple interface reminiscent of a daily/weekly desk calendar of yore. The widgets are great offering a daily schedule (small), weekly (large) or a side-by-side daily schedule and month calendar (medium). ✓ Best app worth every pennyThis is one of the very best apps here. I love its simplicity and reliability. It is packed with useful features, yet none is unnecessary or impractical unlike many other apps. It syncs with my other devices, notifies events and tasks, comes with widget. All you need is there with a touch of a finger in a simple but capable layout. No messiness….Version: 1.16

✓ Widget doesn’t work anymoreThe widget doesn’t work anymore, it is all blurred out which means you now have to click into the app to see your calendar Update has since resolved the issue. Quite quickly I might add.Version: 1.20

✓ Perfect with one requestI like this app, functional & easy to navigate. My request is to make the app able to function without having to connect a calendar or email to it. I don’t want the tasks I put on this app showing up and cluttering my Google calendar. I was hoping to use this app for meal schedule, workout schedule, daily misc chores and tasks, separate from my events schedule in Google which is shared with my family. Is this possible?? ✓ Love this appReally love this app. The way in presents your digital diary in a paper format is fantastic. A handwriting font would be the master stroke. The only downside (& many apps suffer from this), is tasks MUST have a start date & a due date. If the developer introduced this, it would be 5 stars from me..Version: 1.11
✓ Submitted one star mistakenly - this is a great calendarUnfortunately fat fingered my review to start off with, and gave it a one star rating. Anyway, I love the way it looks and it is extremely functional. It is 1000 times better than the built-in calendar. This is a really nice change from most of the other calendar apps that look so similar. And all of the expected functionality is there. …think I’m going to enjoy using this..Version: 1.13
✓ Best laid out calendar I have ever usedI used to use WeekAgenda (same author) as no stock built or 3rd party calendar app laid out the data in a way that made visual sense to me. This app is based on old school Filofax style pages getting the max info in the smallest space but legibly. I helped beta test PaperCal and found a couple of bugs which I reported. I subsequently found an app designer who cared about his product and also his customers. After numerous emails back and forth the problem was cured This is now my go to calendar app plus homescreen widget and worth far more than what I happily paid for. I unreservedly recommend trying it out and seeing how easy your data can be managed and displayed..Version: 1.8
✓ Notifications do not workAs pointed out by another reviewer, the notification feature of the app does not work. This is a serious bug and needs to be fixed. Previous: I really wanted to like this app, but when adding/editing events the app frequently would freeze. It then becomes necessary to close the app and launch anew. This is beyond a little annoying, and hence the low rating. I uninstalled the app and the reinstalled it, hoping that this would help. Alas, it did not. Adding events and editing them is a fundamental requirement of a calendar app. Too bad, I really did want to like this app..Version: 1.21

✓ I love it.A beautiful calendar to look at and work with. It is not in competition with the powerful Fantastical and others but there is no subscription. There isn’t even a cost; unbelievably it’s FREE! I use it 90% of the time and I have other calendar apps. I especially like the weekly view on the iPhone; it’s like having a paper agenda giving you a glance of what’s ahead. And flipping pages feels so natural. Suggestion to the developer: Change the name to Paper Calendar. I say this because the app is not easily discovered (maybe because it’s free??) using the search word “Calendar”. I also think that a small one time purchase or the ability to send you a financial tip would be nice to show one’s support. Thank you..Version: 1.14
✓ Excellent successor.Have used author’s previous apps and this is a worthy successor. Tested this one and never had any problems. Intuitive and easy to use. I know I shouldn’t, but I print the weekly pages and pin them on my fridge - could I have a “Print” option to make this easier?.Version: 1.4

✓ No notification supportWould be 5 stars if notifications worked. It lets you add reminders (as if it works- then those deadlines pass without alerting you). But there is no actual notification support. I’ve looked under iOS settings and it isn’t even listen under Notifications as an option to turn on. Otherwise brilliant display of events and tasks but please add notifications.Version: 1.14

✓ Really like this calendar appHave been looking for a calendar app with the right blend of plain functionality with a little touch of skeuomorphism to make things interesting and this is the one I settled on. I just wish that there was a setting to make the week view one column. The two column view is ok but I’d prefer one because I tend to have only a few appointments per day but with longer titles and this would suit my calendar use better. Still, good app!.Version: 1.13

✓ Near perfectionI've been searching for a calendar replacement and it appears I've finally found it. PaperCal is similar to the calendar app I used and loved for years until it was rendered obsolete by an iOS update. Although the app I'm referring to had fewer features and far less elegance, I appreciated the simplicity and ease of use. PaperCal is like an old favorite with a massive upgrade! I've only run into one problem... PaperCal is absent from my list of widget options. Hopefully this can be fixed? (iPad Mini 5, 14.8.) Thanks to the developer.
