✓ Love and hateI love dingbats and hate too many ads. Unfortunately the bit I hate overpowered me and I deleted after writing this review. Would have paid £2-99 but the reviews all say you have to accept the data etc. sorry. Make your own mind up of course !! ✓ Sorry but please read!Okay so I want to start by saying I really love solving these types of puzzles so I may have set my expectations high but just listen. So about these “dingbats”. They’re more like regular bats because bats are basically blind and (rly sry developers!) but these people turn a blind eye to basically the whole game. I mean the dingbats are the super easy ones everyone sees all the time. And what’s worse than super easiness? ADDS. I’m sorry I know you’ve heard this before but really why are there so many adds? If you want to solve ONE dingbat, it gives you a thirty second add. Then once you solve it, it gives you a thirty second add, then for a prize you watch an add, when you’re done you watch an add, and in the end playing the game isn’t even playing the game it’s just watching adds. So all in all: Dear Developers, This app was a great idea but the adds are too much. If you don’t like adds don’t get this app.Version: 3.7

✓ WowWow, you get a whole 2 puzzles before the next ad! It’s literally like 20 seconds of playing, 30 second ad, 20 seconds playing, 30 second ad, etc. Just way too many ads! But, if for some reason you didn’t get enough ads that way, you can choose even more ads to triple your coins earned or to play bonus rounds. I know ads are necessary for developers to earn money, but maybe 5 puzzles between ads would be more reasonable. ✓ UselessDownloaded and when run just displays localisation error and locks up. ✓ Too many darn adsI do play this game quite a bit (I might get tired of it soon) I know a lot of reviews talk about how many ads there are, but let me just say that there is an ad after every single level, the levels are very short and easy (most of the time)I have now learned to just expect the ad after every level. I think that there should be an ad every three or four levels, not after every single one. I will admit I do enjoy the game, most of the levels are quite easy but some can be a little tricky. If you don’t mind ads or are willing to pay to remove them the I would definitely recommend this game. Just to let you know there are little things to get hints if you are stuck on one. There might be a phrase you don’t know which can make it hard so the hints help a lot. Sorry my review is kinda long but it is true (I’m not joking about how an ad is after every single level).Version: 4.2

But when I was playing this game two things really ruined it for me. 1. There is no space bar. And you don’t need to press one but the worst part is there is an ad where it is supposed to be. ✓ Should try harderUsual thing about adverts but my firewall blocks those quite well so the rest of the game. 1 it’s reasonably playable but very very limited. I’m a casual player at best and I’ve completed the whole thing in less than a week. 2. There are some really bad programming glitches where the answer bears no link at all to the clue. Even more obvious in the logo section. Basically terribly poor testing. 3. Several of the games freeze when you try to go to a new level and you have to kill the game and restart it. Overall. And waiting……..it’s frustrating to wait for so long. Any eta on the updates? Although this is a good game the adverts are insane. ✓ Ads and GlitchesI recently downloaded this game and paid for “Ad Free” but like another review mentioned - it’s misleading. I still have to watch ads to unlock bonus plays (ridiculous) and for extra points. Also, it has so many glitches, one of the logos didn’t load at all, it just populated the lines, but there was no image. Now, it’s generating logos out of sequence. For example: the logo of Quaker Oats came up, but I used hints and the answer it revealed was Gucci, next the Gucci logo came up, but when I entered Gucci, it dint accept it as the correct answer. ✓ Should be 4 1/2 star, except for latest upgrade!Game was great fun, perhaps a little heavy on the adverts. As I thought this was a good game, I thought it worthwhile buying the advert-free version. ✓ Great puzzle game, ads too long.I enjoy the puzzles in this game. The variety of puzzles and difficulty is good. The only knock is the ads, too many and always the full 30 seconds. Usually I delete games with this kind of excessive ads but, I enjoy the game a lot. So whenever a hockey game or some event is on, I use the time (when the ads are playing) to watch the game/event then eventually go back to the puzzle. ✓ Don’t waste your timeThe app looks nice and performs well… when you aren’t watching an ad 80% of your time in the app. The first 10 levels lull you into thinking that you only are going to watch ads if you want bonuses (coins, “power ups”, etc) but once you finish your first 10 levels every level thereafter forces you to watch an ad regardless of what you do. They should just market the game ad the price to remove ads instead of pretending it’s a fun & playable game for free. ✓ 3 long ads per game! }:-(The game is fun enough, but it will exhaust you with ads before, during and after every game — sometimes back-to-back ads. And many of the ads are 30-45 seconds. Considering a round of play can take as little as a second or two, waiting 30-60 seconds to play another round is grueling. Worse, the ads sometimes cover the keyboard! Espresso still, many of the add lock up the game and you have to close the app and reopen to get back where you were. ✓ App has issuesLove the concept of this game and i play nearly every day. Currently trying to figure out how to contact the devs to report the issues the app has. The app has no “help” or “contact” button. This app has issues that make me not want to play anymore. First, it doesn't count completed levels properly and says I have 72/80 instead of 80/80 when i finished the “Logo Quiz” section and usually wont count the last game in each section that I have completed. Second, the app covers its own buttons and is messy when trying to navigate. For example to even get to this help page I had to press a half-covered button that looked like a logo but I wasnt even sure. ✓ Great game, awful experienceI love dingbats and this could have had me hooked if it were not for the extremely poor execution. The main issue is that unless you accept all cookies and data transfer you get a greyed out message appear at the top which stops you from playing the game, as it often obscures the images, but also tries to lay the blame for poor execution purely at your feet for not sharing information. There is absolutely no reason why not accepting all would cause these issues, as it doesn’t for basically every other app out there, and this is the main reason for a 1 star review. Unfortunately, the past couple days after an answer question and I push the button to get 30 extra coins, or 50 extra coins, it freezes and I have to close down the app go back in it still doesn’t work. ✓ Fun Game, But Glitchy and Riddled with AdsI enjoy the game a good deal. The puzzles are fun and challenging, but not overly difficult. There are a few extra puzzles that can be unlocked by coins, but they’re not difficult to earn. The reason I’m only rating 3 stars though is because the game claims to be ad free unless you agree to watch an ad for extra coins. However, anytime I try to watch the ad for the extra coins, the ad won’t let me close out of it once the video is over, forcing me to close the app and miss out on the coins. When I decide to not watch the ad and instead just skip to the next puzzle, I STILL have to watch an advertisement. It’s a well-developed and we’ll-conceptualized game with one huge flaw: for every puzzle that takes you anywhere from 3-20 seconds to solve, you have to sit through an ad that is a two phase skip that if you don’t hit exactly correctly to close, pops up the App Store. I’m generally ok with an ad every three levels, and normally will buy the ad-free package if I like a game enough, but this feels like the developers are trying to annoy you into buying the package but ultimately it’s just not entertaining enough to sit through that much annoyance. I’m on level 26 and most of my time in this game has been sitting through ads, not actually playing this game. It’s an immediate delete from me. Please figure out a sensible balance between monetizing your platform and losing your users..Version: 2.13

✓ Ad Free <> No AdsThe developer’s definition of no ads and my definition differ significantly. I found this app when searching for some of the puzzles I did in elementary school for my daughter. This app is exactly what I was searching for, and I was happy to pay for an ad-free experience. Sadly, I’m barraged with ad requests (to play a bonus level with every set of ten). ✓ Absolutely disgusting!The game itself is alright. However, the practices shown by the developer in this this app is nothing short of vile. You have the option to choose not to allow tracking, advertising and collection of anonymous data for analytical purposes. However, if you do not agree to these they paste a warning over the game screen that obscures the puzzles telling you to “fix” the issue by agreeing to the data collection. This is not acceptable and will hopefully be an illegal practice in the near future. I would have enjoyed to play this game but now I will never download it again and I will not use any app from this developer EVER unless I see them address this issue and see a public apology to their users for what is essentially bullying their demographic into handing over their data. ✓ More Quizzes?I loved the app until I got through the available quizzes. After paying to play the different subjects, you’re not able to solve all of the quizzes. A couple of examples are that you only get to solve 576 out of 604 of the Word Quiz and 92 of 100 of the Emoji Quiz. Each one will fall short of the total number of quizzes shown as available and at the end of the ones that are actually available there’s a message saying more levels coming soon, but they never have. ✓ Something missingI do love dingbats it’s fun and can be quite funny sometimes because all you have to do is say what you see and saying what you say can be funny sometimes maybe weird even. I have downloaded this app because I thought it would be a good idea to use it but when I clicked onto the app to play, it came on. I went onto the app and saw that I couldn’t see most of the dingbat and half of the keyboard so I couldn’t play. I only have done one level on this problem but it is quite useless having a game on my phone that doesn’t work. I tried everything to get it working again, turning my phone on and off, deleting the app and then trying to get it back again, powering off my phone and cleaning the open apps away. ✓ Disappointing and AnnoyingImagine you got a flyer to go to a comedian’s performance. It has good reviews and the jokes seem pretty funny so you decide to go. The comedian starts with a few basic puns, and then some more, and then even more and you realize that mediocre puns is all that it is. That’s what this game is. I got this game and I enjoyed the first few levels, they were simple and fun puzzles and a good introduction, then the game went downhill. When I got to the second level set the game started playing unskipable adds in between every level. And the puzzles were still easy, so I would spend 5 seconds on a level and then have to watch a 20 second add just to do another boring and easy level. I say sort-of because there is an ad after every level and that makes the game unplayable. When you complete a level you often get a rewards option where you can take standard rewards and go to the next level *or* watch an advert to get 3x or 10x rewards. Even if you click next level rather than the ad option, you still get shown an unskippable advert which can be up to 30 seconds long. I LOVE solving Dingbats-style questions, however this app has not provided the endless library of fun puzzles, which I had envisioned. 1) Too many ads. I know a lot of reviews say this, but I would like to highlight how bad the problem is. After every level, there is a 30-second ad which takes up more time than the puzzle took itself. Also, the ads are laggy and of bad quality. NOTE TO REVIEWERS: ‘ads’ as in advertisements is not spelled ‘adds’. 2) Lagginess. I don’t know whether my device is too old, but the Dingbats app is very laggy and I have to restart after every few levels. I prefer a smoother experience where I can play for 30 minutes at a time. 3) Puzzles. The puzzles are much too easy, and there is no way to skip levels or play ones further ahead. So not a big deal, but it would be nice if you could do ads a bit less, I understand that the first set had little to no ads, because tutorial, I’m only on set three and maybe it gets better, because it sound like most of the reviews only get to set two and start getting very frustrated, but set two is most likely compinsating for set one. The also say the game isn’t challenging on set TWO, honestly if it got super difficult set two I would be even more upset because if it gets too difficult its not really fun anymore. Also I just have to say this, even though it’s just common knowledge. BUYING NO ADS ONLY REMOVES UN-OPTIONAL ADS YOU CAN STILL CHOOSE OPTIONAL ADS IF YOU WANT ITS FOR MONEY PURPOSES!! ✓ TOO MANY ADSI understand the need for ads in a free game, but I was getting them after every game. Seriously ten minutes of ads for every one minute of play. It would be like watching a commercial every time after your favorite TV actor said one line. Imagine three minutes of sitcom to twenty-seven minutes of commercials. They make it look like you have an option with ‘video for extra coins’ and ‘no thanks’ buttons to choose from, but both take you to an ad. The game is actually good. I enjoyed it. But I play too many games to throw $2.99 (or whatever it is) at the start of every one to get rid of the ads right away, before I decide if one is good enough for me to play more than a couple days. ✓ AdsPlayed to level 360. You really need to remove the constant ads. Listen to your reviews, they are your customer base, literally all but one says ads. After 300 it goes on to repeat the levels all over again it seems, I can’t remember one of the 60 not being something I have answered already, however it is a good game and will be great with the improvements but for now it’s being deleted.Version: 1.05

✓ Great game except for the ridiculous amount of ADsThe game is very fun and the concept is very cool I love the use of the positioning, colour and other aspects of text to produce puzzles but the amount of ADs is ridiculous. For example on some puzzles which are particularly easy they take around 10 seconds at most and then I get a 30 second AD on Royale Match that is just ridiculous. After making this discovery I looked at the level select page and saw some sort of money grab in almost every corner of the screen which honestly I found pretty funny how pathetic that was. Every time I try to do something I get either an option to watch a 30 second ad, or a flat out 30 second ad or even both which just ruins the experience for me. P.S. I know I could turn my internet off but sometimes I just want to play the game while waiting for things that require internet such as a friend calling me which makes the ad problem ridiculous..Version: 4.2
