Rock Identifier: Stone ID for Positive User Reviews

AmazingKeeps everything in order, amazing app and very accurate! I recommend.Version: 2.6.3

Does its jobIt can identify most correctly, but obviously since its an app wont get all of them right. I like how it tells you all about the crystal as well including the healing properties. Defo recommend :).Version: 2.5.4

I suggest using this app.It does everything that you would need it to do. From price to it’s chemical formula. It accurately identifies the crystal you have, it is also very easy to use and to store info about your rocks. Very good!!!.Version: 2.3.2

I LOVE THIS GAME I did not know what ALL! My rocks were named but not I know all of themI love this so much I didn’t know what all my rocks names were and now I know them all how can you not get with this app!!.Version: 2.3.2

Gemstone loveI love gemstones!.Version: 2.6.3

GoodGood.Version: 2.4.5

Awesome appI have so many crystals and I didn't know half of them now I do. I love that I now have all of my collection in one place too. Well worth the subscription fee..Version: 2.3.7

5 starsMake it have less questions for value.Version: 2.5.42

ChiefCrystal chief….Version: 2.6.2

InterestingI’m enjoying this rock identifier app. Though you can’t take it a a 100% guarantee it’s correct it’s still a good app..Version: 2.6.3

👍🏻The app is very accurate and it shows you other pictures to compare.Version: 2.3.7

OkI find this App a lot of fun and useful to identify the tumble stones It’s not always accurate and gives lots of results so gets confusing I’m hoping with time it will update and improve on accuracy For a beginner it’s worth having in my opinion.Version: 2.5.11

Love this appSo cool being able to put all my gems and crystals in one place with descriptions for them all!.Version: 2.5.5

Definitely worth usingIf you are someone that collects crystals, gemstones/ rocks this app is amazing for those ones you find that your not sure why they are, or just keeping track of what you have in your collection. I have already recommended this app to multiple people.Version: 2.0

Perfect for crystal collectorsSo good to keep track of each of my crystals, when I got them, how much ect... love this app use it every single day! Also got all my friends who collect crystals to download it too and they all love it! X.Version: 2.0.4

Pretty much love the appIf I could give four. Five stars I would. What I love is the accuracy of the rock identification app and the details provided, especially what it was historically used for and it’s possible healing properties. Sometimes though if you take a picture of the same rock but I had a different angle it will give you a completely different rock identification. This makes it hard sometimes to figure out which rock it is actually. Overall I love the app though it’s been very educational and fun to go exploring with my kids..Version: 2.3.13

Raw StonesI’m a native of the Big Sky State of Montana. And with our world in the process of changing comes natural disasters, unfortunately. In our final months of summer the heat index was high enough to cause severe flooding across much of our upper elevations. And in my line of business,an experienced Concrete Construction Contractor for over 30 years has made me somewhat of a “Rock Hound” and definitely an avid Gemstone and Raw mineral stones collector. Very confident in my skill set to recognize Precious Raw Stones your “Rock Identifier App” is very accurate and has made my hobby more enjoyable knowing I have a very valuable collection. Not only did it correct a very crucial error or should I say mis-evaluation on a stone I thought was some kind of a Clear Quartz or Sea Glass turned out to be a 153.7 carat Raw Diamond that had been washed out of its original resting place, thousands of years before it was actually pushed out by the natural forces of the Earth. After a few different opinions it’s estimated to be worth in the seven figures area which is life changing! I’m the biggest skeptic I know so for me to give this “Rock Identifier App” a HUGE shoutout it’s definitely worth it! #rawinthe406 #yellowstones.Version: 2.5.11

GoodThis app is 98% correct but sometimes it is wrong and the metal detector doesn’t work but I recommend.Version: 2.5.40

Great app!It gets everything correct, and I think there might be a limit to how many rocks you identify, but overall, it’s an AMAZING app! It gives you the exact same effects of you don’t buy premium..Version: 2.5.23

Great for identifying rocksI’m really enjoying identifying rocks and crystals with this app. Rarely have an issue, only if the stone is very small..Version: 2.5.42

AmazingIf you are into crystals you would love this app! It got most of the answers correct and the ones it didn’t were mostly my fault ( I would recommend taking two photos and seeing if they’re the same) overall would totally recommend.Version: 2.4.11

I love this!It was so wonderful to discover which crystal was waiting to be discovered. This has been a wonderful help in my journey to self discovery and self actualisation. Plus it helped in giving me the courage to move forward with my dreams and goals!.Version: 2.6.5

Awesome appTop-notch app really love it.Version: 2.7.0

A crystal/gem collectors must have! This app is super informative and helps me with any questions I may have, it’s also especially handy to just snap a picture of any piece from my extensive crystal collection if I’m unsure if it’s material or healing properties, this app gives you so much detail about the price it’s any collectors must have!! X.Version: 2.4.0

So funBecause you can explore rocks any times.Version: 2.6.6

Very impressedTotally into this app. I didn’t expect it to be half as accurate as it seems to be, and I’m learning a lot from it as well..Version: 2.6.6

Rock IdentitierWhy is it so difficult to cancel? I opted for a seven day free trial on 26 th Nov. I do not want to proceed but I cannot find any way to cancel. I believe Apple will automatically renew for a year without my permission. Does anyone know how I can cancel?.Version: 2.5.2

Educational and interestingLove this app, I’ve learned so much about the rocks in my area.Version: 2.6.2

Omg best thing everIt has everything it has rock info every type of info a scanner free game I would love people to get it it will teach everything when I started playing it blew me away it was ausome best game ever I would recommend this game.Version: 2.3.5

Nearly perfectI use this app to confirm stones I already possess and know what they are and also to verify stones, say, when I was overseas and sellers attempted to pass off aventurine as emerald - I knew the stones were aventurine, scanned and app confirmed. It even reminded me of the name of a stone, maw sit sit, that I had forgotten the name of. I say “nearly perfect” because light, angle, among many other factors play a role in the accuracy of the app. One star off as I’ve had to run multiple checks on some which I know are “genuine”. Overall, I love this app and use it on a regular basis. Highly recommend & I have recommended it to others including my sister who has a doctorate in geology. I rarely write reviews, this is well worth it. Thank you..Version: 2.5.42

Nope….just no!Here’s the scoop….this app basically guesses what mineral/gem it is by the colour. As a gem cutter I had a variety of different stones on hand to test the accuracy of this app. Apart from opal and garnet it literally got every other gem wrong. Any jeweller will tell you that you need a spectrograph to make a somewhat calculated guess as to what gem is and even that’s not foolproof. For what they’re trying to charge (for the “guessing simulator” app) it’s virtually criminal..Version: 2.5.17

Fantastic AppThis app is brilliant and to my surprise is highly accurate. Sometimes it gets it wrong but that’s only when a lesser known crystal/rock/gem looks like a well known one. I would say its about 90% accurate..Version: 2.5.33

I am so impressed what a amazing appThis app is so perfect for all of us who always have our nose’s to the ground looking for that most perfect rock or fossil to make our day. I love to find my own beauties to cut, tumble and wrap into jewelry. I am so grateful for this app as now I am going through my buckets and organizing them. No more do I have to scratch away on them to find out the Mohs thanks to all the wonderful info that is provided here at my fingertips. Also I love it when I realize how wrong I am and how much I need to learn. Thank you I am now learning to get the names right on what I have. For people who enjoy learning this is a wonderful app to have..Version: 2.5.41

Super handy & easyThis app has helped keeping track of my crystals collection, having quick reference to their properties. Such a handy tool to quickly remind me what healing properties they have. Great customisation with my own picts. Really like it, might consider investing in the paid version.Version: 2.1.3

Great appThis is a great app to use for information and other stuff be even great if u can make a shell app for the same purpose:) great app.Version: 2.5.19

Amazing I love this appThis is truly amazing, I have so many crystals and tumblestones, I can never remember what they all do and I just scan it in and it reminds me amazing I love it..Version: 2.4.0

Love this app...so much potential!!I’m a collector of crystals, so an app that allows you to simply photograph a stone & then identifies it for you is like a dream come true. While there is definitely room for improvement, it seems the developers of the app are well aware of this, encouraging the user to participate in this process, which I appreciate. I’d love to see a few things, such as: 1) the ability to print out ones rock /crystal collection, (ie I have 70 stones in my collection in the app, so a visual color chart that allows one to include your original photos and the name & main properties of each rock) I think would be super exciting, instead of just downloading other people’s charts of “the most important stones” since this is ultimately subjective and could be very creative. 2) the ability to add text to one’s personal collection. For instance, if I could, I’d write my own metaphysical associations and/or properties of the stones, & how I use the stone in my own life/work. While there is currently a plethora of source material in this realm, to combine the ability to identify & create one’s own personal, experiential source material via photograph and then recorded uses, metaphysical properties etc. would make this app an essential tool in one’s own process of discovery and learning..Version: 2.3.1

AmazingTested this on a few crystals I new the name of before trying something I didn’t know. It got them all and I’m confident that it’s trustworthy. Great app!!.Version: 2.3.1

Been waiting a long time for something like thisI’ve downloaded and used nearly ever app available on google and apple trying to find something that works this well and accurate. Do all my rocks get properly identified…no,however, I’m also not a geologist so maybe there’s a few I’m wrong about. This app gives multiple choices to run through and info about those choices. I’ve not used another app that’s as accurate or pristine. My only issue with this app is the astronomical price combined with no feed to speak to others about what you have or help identifying in a way that a computer can’t pick up. I know I will be canceling my membership shortly because I can be paying this much for a visual collects and identification to only use a few times a month but that app it’s self is total great. I think 12$ a month would be pushing it but that’s the most I’d be willing to pay month to month. Try this app for at least a month if you are a rock hound or trying to boost your knowledge. It’s pretty good and easy to use..Version: 1.9.1

100% recommend!This app gives 90% accurate results every time!.Version: 2.0.4

Must Have App For Geode and Crystal IdentificationThis is a fantastic free and paid app! I now have the premium version and it is so easy to use- you literally take a picture of the geode or crystal in question and the app immediately begins to identify it. Even better, it doesn’t give you the same handful of results and doesn’t read everything as quartz, which is a nod to its intelligence, in my opinion. It has been incredibly accurate and has a lot of knowledge, which it freely shares. Pics upload clearly, which is always appreciated (the apps camera is better than my iphone cam…). Try it out, you have literally nothing to lose!.Version: 2.2.1

Astounding , Sensational & ThoroughI was quite surprised at the ability of this app to identify even the little morsels of crystals in my Necklace Charms. This App gives you so many different examples of the possible incarnations that each stone/crystal/mineral can come in. Pictures of numerous color a variations, both Raw & Tumbled versions. Each picture you take to identify is given 2 or 3 different possible matches, each match having plenty of example pictures for you to easily narrow down & feel assured as to which the 2 or 3 options of Crystals/Minerals displayed is the correct one. Followed by a whole slew of factoids, the geological processes that created it, it’s uses in wholistic medicine/spiritual & energy work as well as myths, legends & history surrounding the stone..Version: 2.4.10

😘I love it.Version: 2.7.0

Great app for my spiritual journeyWas in search of a app that could help me out identifying crystals, I used google to see if there was such a thing. Once I found the app, it worked greatly for a stone I found at a construction site, in California. 5 stars and will get the year subscribe from me for sure. Thank the team for the excellent help. This helps even when asked about crystals or stones I wear now, take the picture and get the instant answer, for people who are curious of stones or crystals I’ve been wearing. Get the app you want be disappointed..Version: 2.5.2

NotesHard to get the photo perfect and so we can get the wrong identity. Would be great if we could write down notes to our stones because some know and wanna know a lot more about the stone as it is described.Version: 2.3.1

Great AppJust started using this and I have to say I am very impressed.. although I am not great with apps and navigation, this is very easy to use and informative in creating your collection of information regarding your crystals Fab.Version: 2.3.5

AmazingI love using this app as I’m an avid collector of crystals & minerals. Although there has been a few times when the app fails to get the crystal right or don’t know the name of newer crystals like si sera etc it’s still a very good & useful app.Version: 2.3.18

So far so good!I was very impressed with this app so far, I wasn’t sure if it would always get it right. However I’ve loved seeing that it in fact works! Quick and simple to use! And quick results! Love it!.Version: 2.4.13

Love itBest app to use if you don’t know what crystals or gemstone it is you have xx.Version: 2.3.1

Very goodIt said my hand was mookite 🤪 But otherwise it is very accurate.Version: 2.1.3

Amazing appI just love it too bad it’s to expensive for me but for this wonderful comment maybe they should give me a year for free ?.Version: 2.6.2

Helpful appI really do love this app. The I only think I really think would make this a perfect app would be to include more crystals into their system. There are certain crystals I know the name of I just want to add them into the collection folder for fun, and the option(s) I’m given are so far off. I feel like they do offer a variety of crystals/minerals/ rocks, but there’s always room to expand and add more accurate matches. Also if they would actually let a stone appear as it’s called even if it’s a variety of a type of stone. Ex: moonstone. I have black, peach, rainbow, and just moonstone. Black moonstone has its own deal, as does rainbow. Moonstone on its own has one as well but when I took a photo of my peach it just shows up as moonstone, with the peach moonstone name popping up underneath. Calcite is another example there are SO MANY DIFFERENT VARIETIES; all having their own special uses, healing properties, physical properties, colors and so on. Those listen names should not just be written out but matched to a stone showing the information just as the base rock is be it calcite, moonstone, even amethyst has different variations. Hope this is something that can happen, it would make this so much more exciting🤍 also we should be a me to chat with other users and be able to ask questions regarding crystals, enjoy company that has a similar interest, and get to see their collection of beautiful stones.Version: 2.7.0

Mark McLaughlinHonestly an outstanding app! My step boy thank god loves rocks i bought this hoping to give him the passcode bit alas it seems to be only on my handset and i am working at sea. If you have premium there are experts dedicated to finding your rock type if you cannot ID them, however the recognition software is fantastic as it is and can easily name your rock type. It caters to simple Geology and caters to the cosmic types such as healing gemstones like myself i am both. EXCELLENT WORK.Version: 2.3.4

Amazing!I just started using it and I already love it. Really recommend it!.Version: 2.5.33

DiamondI found a diamond on my sisters necklace I think it’s fake its probably not real.Version: 2.6.6

Awesome programI find the Rock Identifier accurate and worth every penny paid to access. It’s helped me organize over 600 crystals with only a handful of incorrect responses which were the result of poor specimen quality. I thoroughly enjoy reading the facts presented on each stone and the ability to ask questions. It is helpful that the program gives second and third response options as that information lets me know what other options were considered by the system. There is one thing I wish would be more consistent and that is incorporating the “street” names of the crystals. I’ll be a user indefinitely if Rock Identifier do continues to exceed my expectations..Version: 2.6.6

It is okThe app is good but it is a little annoying that it always comes with ads about bying stuff but yeah its good.Version: 2.4.8

Best app everThe only way I could see that is by using an external display of your device or the device itself and not having a dedicated device on your phone or computer to use your device on a screen or something else that would make the display a lot easier for the users of the devices that you use on the screen and not just on your screen or on your computer or the computer or the screen you have to have the screen to display it in your phone and the computer you have a device to use it on your yiu screen or whatever it was on a laptop and it would be the screen that I had on.Version: 2.5.18

My favourite appI have learned so much from this app already. Not only have I identified and catalogued my collection I now have loads of useful information at my fingertips. The yearly sub is great value for money.Version: 2.3.8

Almost perfect!I was so excited to see this app. I’ve been collecting rocks since I was a little kid. My Dad knew most of them, but there weren’t many helpful books on rocks back then. When I married, I discovered that not only was he a rock hound, he had a vast knowledge of the geographical composition of Eastern Oregon. We hunted there for many years and brought home a ton of rocks every trip. So now I have a ton of rocks to identify. My only problem is that I can’t print them out. My memory is slipping, so I have to go back and reshoot the rock. Do an old lady a favor and let her print them out. 🥰.Version: 2.5.42

AMAZINGThe app functions so well and is very quick and easy… The Detector is what shocked me and will forever be using it even when I don’t need it 💀.Version: 2.5.11

This is the best rock and gem identifier app ever!I am in the process of identifying every gem and mineral in my jewelry collection. This app allows me to keep a record of each, along with an enormous amount of information. I am doing this for my heirs and friends. when I pass, my executor is inviting everybody to the house for a party and she's going to lay out all the jewelry and everyone may choose exactly what they wish. They'll know what each gem is. There is more than one birthstone chart and show each month may have five or six different gems depending if it is the Hindu chart or the American chart, etc. Some gems represent the hour of the day that you were born, or the day, and so everyone will know what each one stands for..Version: 2.5.37

Pretty good!I think this app is great, tells you the answer easily. Every crystal u have done is correct. Only problem, a few aren’t correct. Otherwise this is great.Version: 2.5.2

Love itI use this with my children and it creates fun..Version: 2.7.0

GoodThis is a very good app but I scanned some of my crystal i all ready knew what they were and came up with different answers but it is 90% accurate and overall is really good app.Version: 2.3.2

CrystalsI love the app for finding out crystals bc I’m new to them but it would be better if it have the description of what the crystals are for after you’ve scanned them..Version: 2.4.4

Amazed tool!Excellent accuracy and interface!.Version: 2.7.0

Old gift from son Identified!!!I’ve always had this completely unique and beautiful stone that my son gave me as a gift many years ago… it just sits on my dresser. Every so often I’d try to find something out about it, books, websites… everything offered, and I never saw anything even remotely resembling this rock. Then this app came along and identified it in 10 seconds! Not just the name but a lot of really interesting information… details and history about it. I want more rocks now just because this app is so awesome! I’m so so so happy about this app..Version: 2.5.42

It’s okayIt’s a good app, I tested it on my real ones and it worked but some of them I didn’t know if didn’t make any sense it was good but also not the best but quite accurate I say 4/0.Version: 2.4.1

AMAZINGI just got the app, I have loved crystals since I was 5! I still struggle with most names this helps so much best app ever❤️❤️❤️❤️.Version: 2.2

Rock identificationI find it gives a good overview,it’s never going to be easy to identify from photos alone,so if it’s wrong,it’s been just because of the photo, so as a general guide it can be very useful Richard Hutton.Version: 2.6.6

Rock IdentifierUser friendly, good customer service, has a valuation tool, collection library to form your own personal collection catalogue. Also, has an AI assistance tool that is very helpful and knowledgeable. Recommended for any beginners to amateur to skilled users..Version: 2.7.1

Great Rock AppI use it everyday in our crystal shop and it’s great! The customers like it too!.Version: 2.5.41

Nice App but BasicBefore I had this app I had not identified most of my rocks. It doesn’t help database experts to ask me if I got the right Id. I don’t know, which is why I chose the app. I know it can’t be perfect, but I feel like it’s usually a good answer. It seemed to have worked better on my polished stones since it will only give me one ID. The buildup of extra layers of ‘stuff’ hindered the good components to be Id’ed. It would be nice to know the total composition but that is likely impossible on a phone app. But I did hear these phones are mighty powerful! A printed list would be sweet like print #1 through # 20. Thank you for your hard work. Its a good app for sure!.Version: 2.5.41

Accurate and free!I got this Little Rock and mineral kit where you have to dig a block of dirt to get them and when I had done I had lots of unknown little chips. I got this app apprehensive that it would work. It has definitely satisfied me especially for a free app! It identified all my crystals accurately and this app is definitely worth downloading!!.Version: 2.3.3

Rock identifierIt gets everything right!.Version: 2.6.3

KnowledgeableThank you it helps me to identify the stone.Version: 2.7.0

Super accurate at identifying crystals!Im absolutely blown away by how well this app identifies crystals. I thought it would be hit or miss- especially for a free app- but it got 15/17 of my crystals correct (including tricky ones like dragon blood stone, green moss agate, kyanite etc etc not just simple ones). It’s also got a great user interface and is super easy to use! 100% recommend.Version: 2.2.1

Amazing absolutely love itI downloaded this app a couple of weeks ago, and I’ve only just started using it on all of my crystals and jewelry and I loving it. Some of the ones that I thought were fake are real which is a great surprise to find out I’ll be using this app forever..Version: 2.7.0

Love it!I’ve been trying to get into witchcraft lately and i’ve loved finding out the healing properties of different stones. i have some red agate, but i couldn’t find it on the app. i have realized some of my stones were on the app, but didn’t have the tab of “healing properties”. (the stones are garnet and tiger’s eye) i’m not sure if this just means they don’t have healing properties, or if the app just doesn’t have the info. i’ve tried to test the app and see if it would pick up the stones as what they actually are, but it was incorrect. my stones are really tiny, like grains of rice, so it might just be the size. other than that, i collect rocks and it’s great to know what they are and if they have any healing properties. however, i do have a suggestion. i cleanse my crystals with moon/sun water and it would be great to know if my newer crystals can be in water or not..Version: 2.3.4

GreatI scanned my grandma and it was classified as a fossil, well done, you’re correct.Version: 2.4.2

The best source of information!Everything you would need to need to know about your crystals and rocks, all in one page. I started off using this when I was more of an amateur and have learned so much from it..Version: 2.6.5

Absolutely amazing!!This app has helped me so much to identify my crystals! I am so happy that this app exists :)) if you have crystals, I definitely recommend getting this app even if you know what they are! Thankssss <3.Version: 2.3.1

Rock identifier is awesome! It really helps me identify rocks, stones and crystals!it also helps when researching about rocks, crystals and stones!i sometimes get confused when researching but i use rock identifier instead..Version: 2.3.1

Great Potential-rockhounders best friendNeeds more rocks in database that it can identify. There are some obscure ones but it seems to always choose the same ones. Also, I have put in probably 300 name suggestions to add, going through those more and adding more would be very appreciated. It is great for cataloging. Oh, and when I search my catalog, can you make it to where it searches all the words, the description, locale, everything. It shouldn’t be that hard to adjust. Especially when the name isn’t in system and I have to save it under something else, I put the right name in description and want to be able to find it again. Or search by locale or other things. I am probably the user who uses your app the most if you can look and see. I use it daily. So these improvements would make my life so much better! Thank you!.Version: 2.3.16

Great appThis app is amazingly accurate, and it even gives videos and tutorials on how to identify rocks using different methods. I have wanted to learn more about geology, and this is definitely a great start. It has almost no purchases except for premium, and it is a great experience for learning about rocks. It also shows zodiac and healing stones, tells you how hard your rock is, gives you a description, tells you how to identify your rock, has a self learning feature, and more! I love this app. It gives you a collection to keep tabs on your rock, and a history feature. It also tells you how common or how uncommon it is. I definitely recommend this app to anyone you wants to learn.Version: 2.5.41

Great App- Premium is also well worth the money! This has become one of my most used apps! This is one of the only subscriptions I kept after a big purge to save money. It’s worth every penny if you are regularly wanting to identify stones and/or keep tabs on what is in your collection. I would also recommend this app (even just subbing for a month) when going on vacation anywhere where there are a lot of rocks like when camping, at a river, etc. It can be a fun family activity where everyone finds the coolest rocks and then you get to identify them! Great fun for families or enthusiasts. I have found it to be extremely accurate, except in certain instances. Sometimes if you acquire a unique variation, you may have to help it out and correct the name, but even when trying to identify stones, it can at least point you in the right direction and help to confirm or narrow down identification. I have had some stones that each side you photograph will give you a new identification, but you can take those suggestions and either do a Google image search or I sometimes search Etsy listings that can give you a better idea of what you have. It does seem to struggle over solid black stones which is to be expected. Anyway, you definitely can’t go wrong with this app and you won’t regret purchasing the premium edition either..Version: 2.6.3

Useful app!I collect crystals, but sometimes I forget what they were. This is the best crystal app I’ve encountered after searching for one for a while, I definitely recommend to anyone with any interest in crystals! SO MUCH INFO!! About crystal/stone/gem in the app. All the information is ACCURATE! is anyone interested in crystal healing? I know its a pseudoscientific alternative-medicine practice, but I mean its really fun. I love that it shares with me not only healing properties crystals but history and the geographical backgrounds! Only 1 thing this app is lacking. I really wish that I could share the crystals I identified or create my own additions to the community where there would be plenty of happy people out there!.Version: 1.8

Rock identifier app 🦋This app is very reliable and also gives out lots of information about the stone and what it’s qualities and other names are. And also it’s velocity 🥸.Version: 2.4.0

Great appLove it!.Version: 2.6.3

LegitGreat App! It creates a collection with your pictures where you can document details of each one. So far it’s the most accurate identifier app I’ve tried and it doesn’t overwhelm you with ads and/or purchase restrictions. But it will easily take up 5GB or more of your phone storage if you don’t delete the pictures of rocks you aren’t adding to your collection. You cannot select more than one photo at a time to delete and I currently have 480 aside from my actual collection photos and I don’t have time to go one by one..Version: 2.5.19

Basalt rock found underground 25 years agoI am elated to find out what I have. When we were having our basement excavated for our new home, a round ball of dirt was discovered. The excavation was about twenty feet at the deepest point. The area we chose for our new home had not been cleared since the virgin forests were cleared a hundred years ago. I cleaned off the mud and discovered the mysterious rock. I have kept it all these years. I had a few guesses, but I didn’t believe their conclusions. This afternoon, when I used the Rock Identifier Program, I was excited to get such a quick answer. Thank you so much. The mystery is finally solved..Version: 2.6.3

Great appI tested it on basic rocks and it identifies them extremely well. Obviously for more rare specimens you should have a professional look at them. If you’re unsure of what the picture gave you, if you describe in great detail the chat guide has a good answer commonly. I had lost faith in the app but then later on it started working much better and after I verified with other sources, quite a good app. Even more so because it isn’t one of those apps that is unusable without premium, heck I don’t even think there’s adds! Developers definitely did an amazing job..Version: 2.5.23

Great app!The app is super helpful although sometimes it gets things wrong, but overall a great asset to have to identify gemstone’s..Version: 2.5.33

This app is amazing!!! 💗✨I like using this app when rock hunting and my children enjoy finding new rocks and learning about them!! A fantastic app. I would add however a witch craft section for it is one of the main artefacts of crystals! Amazing work!.Version: 2.1

The best rock app everL love your app because l can take a picture and you search it.Version: 2.1.1

YES! It is worth the buy!!I paid the $30 to have the yearly premium account and it was SOOOOO worth it! The scanner is incredibly accurate, even offering a few possibilities of the type of stone if the scan wasn’t the best quality picture or lighting. I can easily go back and re-read the information on my crystals and stones from my collection when I am not sure which one to use. They even have guides on how to distinguish fake and real versions of stones (with pictures)!!!! I LOVE that in the information about the stone, they included the metaphysical details as well, which was very helpful for my understanding and knowledge growth!! Thank you for such an amazing app with such a user friendly experience!!!.Version: 2.6.2

AdmirationSincèrement, moins cher ce n’est pas tout le monde qui a les moyens.Version: 2.5.33

Awesome app!As others have noted, I love this app almost more than any other app on my phone. I have over 1000 stones cataloged in this app. The app continues to improve the identification of stones, and I appreciate that it is learning as time goes on. I would really appreciate if they would add a few more Synergy 12 Stones to their identification - for example,Phenacite. The only real concern I have is that I have all my stones here and I have used this as my inventory. I would love a way to be able to download my inventory so that I can save it and or print it, as I am worried that something could happen and I would lose my entire inventory. Also, if there was an easy way to categorize the stones instead of just by date. Perhaps there is a way to do that that I don’t know. Otherwise, I think it’s the best rock and gemstone identifier out there. The ability to just take a picture of your stone have a catalog is incredible. I also appreciate the new tabs to read about properties of the stone as well. Keep up the good work -I really appreciate it. If anyone is considering downloading this app, and/or subscribing please don’t hesitate. It’s awesome..Version: 2.5.40

HelpfulHelpful for the identification of rocks and minerals. This is my second year using it as an avid rockhound. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t impressed at first. However, the identification has greatly improved, and 9/10 times it chooses the correct identification. I would still invest in a kit that includes a steel blade, a piece of glass, a black and white streak plate, and some Hydrochloric acid drops to aid you in identification. I really like that I can catalog my collection. It would be nice if the subsequent years the subscription was cheaper than the first (just to renew). I would also like to see a delete all feature, as well as add information to aid with identification like hardness, reactivity to acid…That would make it perfect. Overall, very good app..Version: 2.5.32

Love it - perfect online library for my piecesLove it - perfect online library for my pieces.Version: 2.6.5

This is like amazing!I practice witchcraft and obviously have crystals myself and I find it hard to track all of the crystals I own. This is amazing and has a library to store what rocks you have and it’s easy to identify them 💕.Version: 2.3.1

Much ImprovedUpdate: The app has improved a ton since my original review so I am updating this to 5 stars. It’s been really on the money lately. The auto color change is gone (yay) and the accuracy has really gone up. Love to see it. ——— Original review: I have this company’s plant app, which is amazing, so I have high hopes that this will eventually gets to where it need to be but so far Rock ID leaves a bit to be desired. The results so far have been pretty iffy. Probably gets it right about 60% of the time but I e had to adjust a few times for stones that look very similar. Some it could not even find. I think crystals in general are tougher than plants because they don’t have as many unique identifiers. And with phone photos two pinks stones are gonna look like rose quartz. I’m using this more to keep track of my collection than I’d unknown stones because wit just hasn’t been reliable enough for the more obscure stones or colors / shapes. Also recently the app has been changing the color of my stones as I take a picture?? The nice background free edit the app does automatically also adjusts the color to match the stones typical coloration but that’s not the stone I have. It turned my teal adventurine tower into a typical green color. I don’t want that and would love for this feature to be optional. I guess it’s assuming the photos are bad / incorrect but that’s not always the case. Anyway - hoping this improves with time and more data input.Version: 2.5.33

Almost Superb!WIP. Could use more database, sort & search features; photo editing after the fact; and ability to export and create specimen labels. But identifying minerals is very easy & fairly accurate. I’d say near perfect accuracy on simple obvious specimens like various forms of quartz, agates, jaspers, gypsums, calcites, micas and common rocks like granites, gneisses & schists. However on fairly obvious minerals accuracy drops to 80-90%. It does gives 3 top choices/guesses & several photos to compare with easy access to standard ID characteristics for further refining/reference. I’d say 80+% of time right answer is 1 of the 3 choices given. But 10+% of my specimens come up very wrong & even though it offers a way to correct it & enter your own ID, if it isn’t in it’s database it rejects your correction! So bottom line, it’s great tool for beginners to ID & learn more about common rocks & minerals. It’s a handy quick start to whittle down choices for more advanced collectors. But a serious mineral collector will find current version of this app a bit limited in both Identification and collection mgmt. Having said that, it’s still best app I’ve found by far!.Version: 2.5.23

Works like a charmEvery rock I show it gets it correct it’s a genius app and it’s helpful to know what ur holding in ur hands can be something better then u think.Version: 2.5.27

ReviewI’m not a fan of having to pay for the premium but otherwise it’s really good.Version: 2.1.1

It was helpful. But I still need help… explanation down below👇I had a box of stones, or crystals that sat in said box for a good long while, and as someone who has adhd, autism.. I identified some of the crystals that I had. But I had a problem, I couldn’t figure out the rest. My aunt and mom recommended this app to me, and it has been helpful, but it has given me options that still don’t apply to the stone/crystal I have. I’ve already done the photographs of each stone, but I still need help identifying my stones..Version: 2.4.4

An amazing interface and app design.A really thought out app easy to use a really accurate..Version: 2.4.2

Good, but…TLDR- Great app but has some flaws I love the app, it helps me identify my crystals and their properties. I don’t like that the app is constantly promoting premium. It’s 30$ per year, and I think that’s a bit much… this app works great without a premium subscription, but there are a few think that are not included without one. There are also a few flaws, like the lighting effecting the answer. For example: if the flash is on when you take the picture then it may not be correct. I had some smoky quarts and when I scanned it with the flash it said it was 5 else, but when I turned of the light it got it correct. So that’s just a few things to take into a-count before downloading this app. Over all I do love the app and use it on a daily <3.Version: 2.4.12

ImpressiveI find this app very helpful because when I don’t know what crystal I get I can just use this app.Version: 2.3.1

Rock OnI’ve used other identifier apps and this is quite thorough. Is my first time using this app so we’ll see where it takes us. Looks promising..Version: 2.6.6

Fabulous!Defiantly worth a shot if struggling with your knowledge of crystals but I have found that isn’t always correct but other than that very helpful information!.Version: 2.1

Love itExcellent info.Version: 2.6.6

Rock IdentifierAwesome app - exactly what I needed.Version: 2.5.11

Love the appI love crystals but don’t know enough about them so I love the rock identifying app, it has so much information..Version: 2.5.37

This is amazingIt’s actually really accurate I recomend 10/10 to get this one.Version: 2.7.0

Rock finderPretty good for an app just wish I didn’t have to pay.Version: 2.6.6

No delete featureI love this but it neeeds a delete feature.Version: 2.6.4

My favourite app! This app is amazing and you don’t have to pay out to enjoy most of the features.Version: 2.5.6

Download this now !!!I love this app. Seriously. It’s always accurate shows accurate results and has helped me identify my rocks and crystals. Definitely recommend !! <3.Version: 2.3.13

Awesome ,works greatAt first I tested it on a obviously fake object it was actually plastic but I thought it be interesting to see what it looked like then I tested it on my amethyst which I got through a little around the world kit and you got it right so so far it’s working great and with my newfound interest in finding crystals I love it and it leaves a lot of information with all of the crystals even the ones you have even found yet but i think it would be cool if you could have the picture of your crystal one of the pictures instead of your ( i know it’s a bit counterproductive but with my picture taking skills I think this would be awesome to be honest) never mind i figured out how to do it!.Version: 2.5.28

👍I expected this not to work and be one of the “pay or you get nothing” apps but I have 2 crystals and the app got both crystals right to my shock.Version: 2.4.2

Great for scout leadersAt first I was disappointed that it didn’t show the rock type but it was user error lol once I got more familiar with the app I finally noticed what was right in front of my stupid face LOL It really is a great app; very accurate as far as my limited knowledge can tell. Just take a good picture and it will give you the right answer. However, as a scout leader I would only be using this app maybe once a year while we do our Earth Rocks lesson so I personally can’t justify the price of $30. But if you’re a rockhound I would recommend this app..Version: 2.2.1

FeedbackI find it very interesting especially things you don’t know and the awesome information.Version: 2.4.2

👌It is okay since I already have 110 Rock's.Version: 2.5.33

I love this app so so muchI love this app so much. I didn’t think it would work but it does. I love that you can still use it without having to buy the subscription. Sometimes it won’t give you the correct scan but I always double check by looking them up on Google to make sure. 90% of the time it gets it right. It also gives a whole bunch of different info like where it naturally occurs or the composition or metaphysical uses for them. This app is one of the best apps on the market for minerals and crystal identification. If I could I would give it 6 stars.Version: 2.5.33

It works greatThis app helps users like me who know nothing about crystals and gemstones to gain valueable information..Version: 2.6.0

The desire for more detailFirst I must preface this by saying how grateful I am for an app such as this. As a lifelong rockhound this app has taught me to recognize the rocks that I collect. That being said there are some features that are lacking. Firstly, when each side of a stone is different than I want to know is each side composed of different minerals making it separate or combined does that make it something else. Can it tell me if a rock is a green jasper and a fossil? How old is my rock and even if it’s colored like a green jasper, could it also be obsidian? Can I trust the app when it says that my rock is a gneiss but it’s actually a stromatolite? I wish for as much detail as possible to further educate myself..Version: 2.6.2

Awesome!I wasn’t expecting it to be as accurate but it has been right about my crystals and gives cool information about them.Version: 2.5.6

I love this app! Please download this app! It is amazing! I have a few crystals at my house and I didn’t know what they were… until I downloaded this app!.Version: 2.3.1

Excellent App *****Really love this app, identifies all my crystals correctly, even the more obscure ones! Love the option to create your own catalogue also :) have recommended this app to friends and family.Version: 2.0.4

Rock Identifier ReviewI love this app!! It always helps me to identify every rock/crystal I found. I often get good results so I give it a 4/5 review!.Version: 2.1.1

10 out of 10 love this appFor real love this app the AI is amazing LITERALLY AMAZING. Like bro I was talking like the dumbest person ever and every question answered perfectly. Also the identification is pretty great it sometimes you just have to take the picture a few times or talk to the little AI guy but. I’m like almost 100% deciding to pay for the subscription soon to talk with geologist’s because I have some rocks that are just simply so confusing for me and the AI to figure out but either way I love this app. It makes labeling rocks and double checking myself literally so easy..Version: 2.5.37

So useful!A lot of the time most crystals from shops are labelled wrong or are very ambiguous so this is really useful! Love that it tells you all about the stone aswell. Literally recommended it to all my friends and would say it’s a must for collectors!.Version: 2.1.2

Thankyou AwesomeI just got this app it’s amazing very easy to use very interesting..Version: 2.5.1

Even with help I don’t know what rocks I haveFirst of all, I am not being negative towards the app, I am poking fun at myself. I just don’t understand labeling any better than before I downloaded this app. Lol. The app is actually very useful, I just need to understand the order of naming rocks or minerals better. You know, Order, family, genus, species type thing, but with rocks. Depending on what angle, lighting, and exposure, I get several results and suggestions for one rock. I’m not sure how to determine which result is the best or most accurate name of the rock I want information on. I’m still learning, but I do recommend this app for anyone looking for more information on rocks and minerals around us. It is very useful and I have learned a ton, I just need to process the information better..Version: 2.5.41

A really good crystal IdentifyerMost instances this identifyer app works fabulously, with only a few mix ups. I like the ability to create my own collection album and also to change the name on crystals I definitely know are something different to what comes up (only done this a few times)..Version: 2.5.35

Rock identifierNo, this game does not have any ads and if you take a picture of a rock, it will tell you what kind of rock it is and everything about it. It is free to play no Wi-Fi required but if you take a picture of you know it's not a rock but if you take a picture of it anyways, it'll identify it is not a rock, but if you take a picture of rocket, I'll tell you if it's a diamond crystal or rock or a rock stone or sandstone, but this is a really cool app and you can add rocks to your collection and download them you can discover mini mini rock so different kinds. It'll tell you the hardness of what it's made of and if it's uncommon or rare or found all over the US or all over the world but get this game today. It is a really fun and cool game. I have 1000 rocks in my collection so far yes there are in app purchases but I don't need to put in any purchases is because I have all that I need click below and download today rock identifier..Version: 2.5.33

Rock testerSo far it seems pretty accurate. Enjoying it..Version: 2.5.24

Kim SI have tried quite a few rock/crystal identification apps and this is one of the better ones. I’m just not sure it identifies the crystals correctly. For example, I had a piece of raw amethyst that I purchased at a reputable store, so I know it is authentic and it kept telling me it was a diamond. Kind of disappointing. Hence my four out of five star rating. Also I had a citrine crystal I wanted to test and it gave me the wrong result EVERY TIME. The three times I tried it none of them gave me the citrine result, which I know for a fact this crystal is. But still my favorite identifier app!!!!!.Version: 2.6.6

Rock appThis app is amazing! At first it says that you have to pay but there’s a little cancel button in the right hand corner this add comes up quite allot which is kinda irritating, but besides that the app has proven a great use to me and I use it all the time. So far the app has not been incorrect. 👍👍👍.Version: 2.4.16

Amazing!I recently started getting into crystals, and for my birthday some of my friends got me some. I didn’t know what most of them were called so I looked for an app to help me, I found this app <33 it’s absolutely amazing it always tells me the right results. I’m in love♥︎.Version: 2.0.1

Such a good app!🤍🌸My mum bought me a bunch of crystals recently, sadly the names were not included. However, with this app all you have to do is take a pic of a crystal and the app will tell you the name and information about the Crystal! If you like crystals, this app is for you! xx.Version: 2.5.4

No more witchy wonderEver go to the witchcraft store and buy up a bunch of crystals and rocks and then get back and put them in the salt so that they cleanse and then never get around to cataloging them and then they sit there for months if not years in moonlight and getting dust from the shelf and you think “ I have to get on the Internet and I have to figure out what each of these rocks is it’s gonna take forever” and so you never do it and they continue to sit there? Well, you don’t have to do that again! Just use this app and identify what you have and save a collection in the app! I love the people who made this. If only it had a sister app or feature for us witches or new age people to add features we need to remember .!.Version: 2.1.2
