Reeflex Pro Camera for Negative User Reviews

Quite good but far from perfectDon’t have time to write a full review. Title sums it up. If you expect the slow shutter to be included in the apps price don’t be fooled: you have to pay an additional 9.99$ just for for the slow shutter function. Which doesn’t give you much control over the actual exposure time. Only M and L time presets are available..Version: 1.4.2

Photos not getting added to libraryPhotos not getting added to library with “selected photos” only option.Version: 1.3

App keeps crashing middle of use , personally I don’t feel this app is for me .I would like to get the refund of what I have paid.Version: 1.5

Crashes a lot on iPhone XNot great. I paid £2.49 for the slow shutter pack and the first time I tried to take a 2 second light trail picture it completely crashed the app. It has done it a few times since also. It also seem to make my phone heat up. Not great..Version: 1.4

Manual settings reset after each photoHuge potential but crippled by the fact that after you take a photo, the settings reset back to some auto settings. Eg, I set the exposure duration to 1/10000 and take a very under exposed photo, as I intend to. Then for the next shot, the exposure duration is back to 1/120 or something. Not professional functionality. A pro camera remains on manual until I direct it to do otherwise..Version: 1.5

Application not workingSometimes it kicks you out of the application.Version: 2.1

Photos often do not save! For me, it’s hit or miss whether a photo will save. Others have same issue. I see where developer says to set access to all photos but that does not work for me..Version: 1.5

RubbishWorst app ever All does is want to sell add ons It’s a nightmare.Version: 2.0.4

Misleading sales pitchReeflex IS almost everything the developers say it is, except for one thing... After paying to buy the app, based on what's described and shown on the Appstore, when you go to activate the much touted slow shutter, one of the big selling features, it's somewhat shocking to then be asked to spend more money to sign up to a yearly subscription, or pay more again for 'lifetime' access. I have never had an issue paying for apps, even expensive ones, but I have a huge issue paying for something thinking I was buying product X only to receive X minus Y, then am asked to spend more to get what was advertised to me for the initial price. The app looks great. The selling tactic is not. Considering filing for a refund..Version: 1.4.2

Crashes iPhone 7This app will crash my iPhone every time if I try to use the long expose, paid for an app that doesn’t work.Version: 1.4

App Keeps CrashingVery disappointed, I purchased the Motion Blur feature but have been unable to use it properly as the app either crashes when the shutter is pressed or the shutter function won’t work properly. I get one of the following three actions when trying to use motion blur: 1) the photo is taken but no motion blur recorded 2) the motion blur remains active for longer than the set shutter speed (up to 2 seconds longer) 3) the app crashes and closes down. As for the light trail feature that just crashes the app immediately. The standard camera feature seems fine. I am using an iPhone 8 on iOS 15.5.Version: 1.4.2

App crashes a lot on iPhone 15 Pro MaxPaid for the full price. Just to found out that the app keep crashing… 🙁.Version: 2.1.2

Wanted a review 20 seconds after launch. One star because it wanted a review within 20 seconds and even though I dismissed the prompt it was requesting the same thing in less than a few minutes. This may be the best camera app on the store but I guess I will never know as I am uninstalling it now..Version: 2.1.2

Doesn’t come with all featuresThe camera app was supposed to be free, however it is apparently paid now. I paid for it, and when I entered the app it still wants me to pay even more to get the long exposure modes. From online reviews it all said that it was free, and I don’t think I should have to pay more for a paid app just to get more features that were advertised as free on the reviews..Version: 2.0.5

Reeflex Camera AppI would like to give this app 5 stars, but at present there is a bug that hides some of the controls at the top of the screen when the iPhone 13 Pro is used in the zoomed in configuration found in the display settings. This doesn’t stop the app from working and a workaround is to use the iPhone screen in the default size setting. However, as I have a sight imperfection it means that when the default setting is used, eveything in the app is so small, It makes all the controls hard to see and therefore use. The developers have been very helpful and are working on a fix. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade this review once the app has been updated..Version: 1.3

Not freeDownloading is free but you need a subscription to use it..Version: 2.1

Crash prone!Sorry I can’t currently go higher that 1 ⭐️ at the moment: every time I click the shutter, it crashes immediately and no photo is captured to the camera roll on my iPhone 6s. iOS is up to date 15.5, and the app says the phone is comparable. Purchased to unlock the slow-mo feature, but as of now it’s useless to me. Is there a refund option?🤷🏻‍♂️.Version: 1.4.2

Waste of $4 - UPDATEDTried the app again after the latest update, but it’s still not saving photos. Not going to waste anymore time on it. ___ I’m updating my review to give the developers the benefit of the doubt. They reached out to me, I sent them a video of what’s happening, and they offered me a refund. I appreciate the developer’s response. Since it’s a fairly new app, I’m going to stick with it to see if updates fix it. —- None of the shots I’ve taken have saved. Access to all photos is allowed, but nothing saved. Switching lenses is molasses slow. The marketing was well done, but not the app engineering..Version: 1.4

Latest update has killed it for meUpdated and now the app crashes on open. Every single time. Deleted the app and reinstalled but still the same outcome. I’m using a iPhone 14 Pro. Hopefully you can fix this quickly. Not a great ‘update’.Version: 2.0

Just use the native app on iPad…Bottom line, the native iPad Camera app pretty much does what it needs to do, so it seems senseless to mule ones way through an app that doesn’t really add much usable or valuable functionality, yes a few bells and whistles but they don’t add benefit to the native ability of the physical lens built into the devices being used. And besides, simple adjustments like landscape mode? Can’t find it and this is one adjustment that should be easily found as so many picture takers would use landscape mode. I’d be stuck taking pics in portrait mode? I tried to compare picture quality output of this app to the native app and, yup surprisingly, no difference in resolution, or overall picture quality, this assuming exposure and focus are correct in the app(s) being used..Version: 1.4

Inferior macro lensI bought this app to do product photography of small items, since iPhone’s color balance is erratic. Reeflex let me adjust the balance, but can’t get as close as I could with just the phone’s camera. I assumed it wouldn’t make any of the phone’s existing features worse—my bad. And no way to request a refund. Goodbye $6.99..Version: 2.1.2

???Keeps logging out at any time..Version: 1.3

Got it. It’s ok! Missing basics featuresA worthy contender, albeit missing some basic requirement such as on iPad, where orientation is wrong. For instance In landscape mode , getting portrait display. Also not using the full iPad screen estate. On iphone13pro can’t seem to use remote Bluetooth shutter, although on other Canera Apps the Bluetooth remote shutter works fine. I hope these can be fixed soon. Also it will be nice to be able to move the histogram when you need it on, but in the way of the shot. This is not a deal breaker as you can also toggle it off..Version: 1.4

Enjoyable to use, aside from some lag and crashingI like it a lot, overall. The UI is nicer than Halide. This is the most I’ve ever used a 3rd party camera app. I try to make it my go to camera app. The photos it takes don’t look quite so over processed like modern smartphones are doing. Hopefully future updates will address the crashing upon loading and random crashes, and lag when switching between camera modules. Functionality could be improved by making the picture review button load the last picture you took instead of the camera roll. As it is now, clicking the picture review button opens your camera roll so I can open any picture. Then going back one step goes back to the camera roll. I’d rather it function like the native camera app so I can immediately see the last shot taken and then immediately go back to the camera app. I dislike that it’s always a two step process each way to review the last shot and then go back to the camera..Version: 1.5

Complete GARBAGENot only is this app totally ridiculously bad (you apparently can’t even pick your focus point, for example), but since I downloaded it, I have a hashtag of reflex app in the corner of every photo that I open in Lightroom. It doesn’t even have the right logo with the hashtag. It makes no difference which camera app that I use, and I don’t even have this app on my phone now. I guess I’ll have to crop every single photo that I open in Lightroom mobile now. Undoubtedly the worst app that I’ve ever downloaded..Version: 1.3

BuggieNo tap focus on iPad Pro iOS 15… ui is vertical, like for phone, but image from sensor flipped 90 degrees.Version: 1.4.1

Good in most respectsDoesn’t seem to capture raw photos in long exposure mode only HEIF. Unless I’m missing something. Purchased this to take some Milky Way photos. I believe other apps do this..Version: 2.1.2

DisappointedThe app freezes, it is quite slow for many tasks, changing cameras takes inexplicably long, you can’t zoom when using raw… After five minutes exploring the app, I’m deleting it because it’s really bad. PS: long exposure is the main plus of this app, but it is now available as a separate app (ReeXpose), so the value of Reeflex for me is none..Version: 1.5

Not working at allI have an iPhone 8+ (9Gb free) and an iPhone XR (16Gb free) and have just installed Reeflex Pro on both. In both cases the app opens, asks for permission to access photos and the cameras then crashes. Try to reopen and the same thing happens..Version: 2.0
