✓ Warning: My experience with this companyWhen you sign up for 1 month, like anyone you would think it is one month you pay for, this is not the case, you are automatically billed £28 a month after unless you cancel as per the email sent upon joining! IMO this should have been made clear from the outset as I would not have bought it had it been. The app just seems to offer a timer and diet advice, certainly something you can do yourself with a bit of research. I applied for a refund under UK distant selling regulations within 15 mins of signing up to it and have now been in a ping pong email battle with the developers who seem to be trying to get out of my refund. How many people will skip through the renewal part, I feel I have been conned and want to make sure people are aware before purchasing. Further research shows that the purchase was web based as opposed to a purchase via the Apple Store, so it shows as a free download and therefore bypasses apples 14 day refund policy, yet another con! I will now take this up with apple as it seems to bypass their system- you have been warned!.Version: 1.26.0
✓ No refundsThey do not process refunds. Buyer beware. Even though it says if you are not satisfied they’ll refund you, they won’t. I cancelled within a day because the app wasn’t what I thought it would be, got a response from “Alex” saying they will not refund me, but I can have “lifetime” access with no further charges… Why not just make this app a 1 week free trial of some features, and then a 1 time payment for full access? ✓ Scam want a refund!The app isn’t helpful. Fasting didn’t help me lose weight so I quit using the app. I have now been charged 53$ for a new 3 month subscription that I don’t remember signing up for. I for sure wouldn’t agree to that price for 3 month knowing that the app isn’t even helpful. It basically a timer If you purchase online you can’t see the subscription or manage it on the app. Just another way to hide stuff from you. They say there is a 30 day money back guarantee but it’s not true. When asking for refund they just send you all the ridiculous policy that basically say they aren’t responsible for anything! Set your own timer and track all the same stuff on a good app like my fitness pal. It’s free!!! You can get the premium version on my fitness pal for a whole year for around 70$. ✓ Seemed greatThe app seemed great at first. I got the first month trial, and then wanted to cancel. It kept offering me lower prices until it got to $5.99 a month. I took that deal. I quickly realized it’s impossible to make changes to your fasting times, or really see them other than a graph. I accidentally ended my fast too early on the app, and I have no way to adjust the time. Further, I can’t figure out how to see when I started my fast the day before because everything is on a graph, and I can’t see the actual time. I again cancelled the subscription. When I tried to unsubscribe I went to the “Manage subscription” tab and clicked on my listing and it changed colour so I though I had unsubscribed. Well that was not the case. On the original email I received, it did say that you need to go to their website to unsubscribe, but after a few weeks this was a detail I failed to recall … my bad. However, one might ask, why have a “Manage subscription” tab where you cannot manage your subscription and that does not alert you to the need to visit the e to actually manage your subscription. What this company is doing is not illegal, but it could reasonably be seen as being ‘tricky’. ✓ Impossible to CancelThe app is impossible to cancel. There will be no email sent about an upcoming payment being taken out. If you inquire with customer service they will reply back letting you know all the terms and agreements including payment are done in the beginning when you first sign up. ✓ Difficult to cancel subscriptionHi everyone, I decided I wanted to try intermittent fasting so I downloaded this app. To be quite honest I was happy with the app until I ironically tried to cancel from my weekly subscription to a monthly one. I was hoping for much more becuas they ask you so many questions in the beginning that you think they’re gonna provide something but it’s not much. I was appalled and confused as I had cancelled my account so I wasn’t sure why I received the charge. I looked up my account online and was shocked to see it was still active. I was belittled and told they would not process a refund and accused me of not canceling or not reading the terms and agreements. ✓ RidiculousThis is the worst experience I have ever had with one of these apps, I am just a young girl struggling to make ends meet. The app wasn’t able to work properly and it glitched ruining the dietary requirements leaving me in an unsafe environment where if I ordered and ate one of those food I could come close to death! When this happened I tried to undo the subscription and get a refund, whilst emailing with a support person I would respond immediately and had to wait for nearly two hours on multiple occasions having to email multiple times just to get a short response. ✓ FraudulentThe Instagram ad promised a personalized plan to follow if you fill out the form. I’m not sure what they did with that info, but the app is not personalized at all. They don’t email the plan to you and you have to select a fasting plan after you get in. There isn’t any kind of nutrition or workout tracker so I’m not sure what kind of personalized plan they are promising. Also, they won’t refund your money even though they don’t give you what was advertised. They cite their “refund policy” which is binding upon purchasing or using the app, even though it’s not presented before purchase. Asking for a refund involves proving you used their personalized plan for 14 days, which they never send to your email or load into the app, so it’s impossible to do. I’ve reported the ad as a scam and I’ve requested a refund through my card. Buyer beware!! The Apple App Store should investigate this app and remove it. ✓ An app with no common courtesyI’m giving this app a 1 star review for a few reasons. Firstly, I find it incredibly unproductive because if you actually want you data accurately logged you have to go on your phone FREQUENTLY. Stopping what I’m going to put information on my phone was just annoying and distracting. Also I felt the information (insights for you) was probably very fitting to America and possibly other countries, much of it wasn’t relevant for NZ, especially as our food, milk whatever laws are so different. ✓ Bait and switchI’ve just gotten exhausted with apps (like this one) that aren’t explicitly clear on how much they will cost or if there is a free trial until after they’ve asked you to answer a long list of questions (what is your height? Weight? Sex? Name? Weight loss goal? Dietary restrictions? Etc. etc. etc.). Only after they ask you those questions do they then let you know that it’s $20 per month, and there’s no free trial and no free version with reduced features. I actually am fine with paying for quality apps and there are quite a few that I do pay for, I just don’t like the lack of clarity around what the cost structure is until after they’ve wasted a bunch of my time. I chose not to commit $20 to this app since I couldn’t even test it out to see if it was worthwhile. However, they also claimed to offer recipes specific to your diet and lifestyle. After filling out the questionnaire I realized they don’t allow you to choose meat products of any kind. The protein section included eggs, and plant proteins only so all recipes generated for you are vegetarian and vegan. It’s fine to be either of those things, but it’s not what I choose to intake for my protein source. ✓ ScamI have intolerances and allergies, too many of the things they have on the menu plan which I didn’t realise. I also have a very low iron. I need red meats. There is no meat on any of this menu plan which I would never ever have signed up for I can’t take soya or tofu, I notice within an hour of buying it that the menu pan was in no way suitable for me and for my health and I contacted them and they refused to refund. I told in the questions that I was keto, but the recipes ignore that. I told them I eat meat, but the recipes ignore that. There is no place to put in the exercise I do apart from walking and even that doesn’t count for me since I don’t always have my phone in my pocket. It doesn’t count my biking and there is no place to add my exercise. ✓ Very poor / unclear user agreement & customer serviceI bought this app on a whim when I was very sick and then checked with my doctor and learned that fasting wasn’t a healthy option for me. The automatic renewal went through and I was told I couldn’t get any of my almost $50 in charges back, even though I never used the app. They said I need to prove that I didn’t get the results that they said I would get in order to get my money back. The best health apps out there have clear user agreements and clarity around who should fast and who shouldn’t, checking with your doctor first, etc. This company appears to be struggling financially and their health recommendations are not approved by most sane medical professionals, hence the back and forth about not reimbursing me for even one month. ✓ Basically, it’s a timerIf you’re new to fasting, this app will be helpful in choosing an option that works for you and learning about the biomechanics of the regime so you can proceed safely and hopefully reach your goals. I am not new to fasting, but was intrigued by the offer of half off the monthly rate. While I was researching the app, that offer timed out and when I went to pay for it, it had switched back to the full rate. I now was invested so proceeded to use the app to start an intermittent fast. In the first day I was disappointed that it only tracks steps, hydration, weight and the hours you need to wait to eat. They give you recipes to try when it is time to eat, but the nutritional components that really add to the success of fasting are overlooked by not helping you track them: calories, fat, protein and carbs. I quickly realized it would mostly be a timer for me. There’s a lengthy refund policy, which I read and made sure I adhered to in case this now double the price app didn’t live up to my expectations. After the obligatory 14 consecutive days logging my fast, I contacted the company to request a refund. They responded quickly, but will neither honor a full refund, nor a reduction in that monthly charge citing the necessity of sending them a screenshot of the half price offer. ✓ Do not trustI downloaded this app following the good reviews, however have been incredibly disappointed. I used the app for its free trial and established it did little more than what the timer app that most phones already come with would do, and offers the occasional informative piece you’d expect to read in a health magazine at the dentist. I cancelled the free trial with plenty of time and was still charged a subscription. At the point I was charged my App Store showed this is not an active subscription. I contacted their support team who for the first 6 emails seemed not to grasp that the issue is that I have cancelled the subscription. Instead I was told refunds were only available if you don’t see results or if there was a technical issue. when eventually it was passed on and finally acknowledged I was told it wasn’t refundable. This was following an email confirming it mustn’t have gone through to them due to technical issues, contradicting themselves. ✓ Canceling is near impossibleIt’s a good idea of an app however the execution leaves everything to be desired. What subscription tab does not have a cancel subscription button? This one. And the FAQ tab to cancel subscription takes you to the subscription tab that does not let you cancel. Go figure. ✓ Do not recommend paid subscriptionI had attempted to cancel my subscription, and according to the website was successful and would have access to the subscription through the remainder of current period which ended on Nov. 22. I decided to take a screenshot, as I was sure that I had cancelled previously but was still getting charged. On nov. 22nd, today, I was once again charged for the month of Dec. The subscription status page now stated that my subscription had been cancelled and I would have access until Dec. 23. This does not encourage positive reinforcement if users are doubting what they did. An email to support asked me to send screen shots which I did.
