Fantasy Hike for Positive User Reviews

Awesome app but excited to see moreHi! I really like this app. I think it’s a fun way to track walking. I wonder if there is a way to unlock crossroads at certain distances that can alter the plot! It would be very cool to have the adventure be more custom/individualized that way. Like at mile 75 you unlock a choice (and if you don’t see it it doesn’t block progress while you’re walking) but maybe it affects your achievements later? I’m just being ambitious! I really like this app and I think more interactive aspects would make it just CHEF’S KISS!.Version: 1.6.1

Great appThis is a great app to motivate me to exercise as I love lord of the rings. I do wish you could have friends who also have the app and could see them on the map and race against them..Version: 1.4

ONE APP TO RULE THEM ALLSlay best app ever. LOTR for the win. Cant wait to reach mordor and worship poppa sauron😍❤️.Version: 1.3

Good appAwesome app, however at 217 kilometres the prancing pony in is called the “ strutting pony”.Version: 1.6.1

Motivating and fun…… great app, really enjoying it even if Mr Underhill seems to be taking an Uber to keep ahead!.Version: 1.3

Fantasy hobbit Hike 😉Well worth the $6 for unlimited walking ! Simple little app love it 👌👌 nice that the app even exists 👍👍.Version: 1.3

Question about paymentSuper fun app, I was thrilled when I found it. Way better than my previous activity tracker. Is the 5$ for the full version a one time payment or is it 5$ per week or per day?.Version: 1.3

Excellent MotivationI frequently want to get in extra time walking to continue the adventure. The story is exciting and I like having something to compete with. I would prefer, though, to be able to compete with a friend. The meals along the way don’t make sense to me. I would recommend to anyone whether they are trying to move more during the day or are physically active and can compete with the “Mr. Underhill” character, who is for serious walkers/runners. Currently, I am at 121 miles into the adventure. Two thumbs up for this one..Version: 1.4

Down with Mr UnderhillI think this app is great, truly. The one mile per day thing seems so ridiculous that in order to actually get anywhere you almost HAVE to spend the $4, which, I got my starbucks free today so I *could* spend the money, but I don’t like feeling like I have to. Also, as many people have pointed out, Mr Underhill is OP. I’m on day 3, a grand 3 miles from where I started, but Mr Underhill is 60 miles ahead of me?! I feel like the computer competitor should learn your average speed and base its speed off of that. But those are my only complaints. Otherwise, it’s such a fun concept, and I love seeing my progress (even if it’s a measly 1 mile a day)!.Version: 1.3

So So LovelySo delightful ! Just a really fun way to think about moving my body and exploring the world around me that isn't so "get my steps in." The artwork is beautiful, I love feeling like I'm following in the steps of the book/on my own adventure, everything runs really smoothly, and there's always something new to get excited about even if I just end up moving a mile in a day, while also feeling real-life challenging: sometimes you just have to get past a bigass field haha. Totally in love with it, what a charming, valuable thing. The only thing I wish it included was a way to add friends! I'd love to be able to congratulate each other in-app on getting to x point, or talk about "Old Tom" and his unnamed-for-copyright-reasons wife haha..Version: 1.6.1

So much funI have been using this app for almost 3 months. I don’t have an Apple Watch so I never knew how much I was walking throughout the day. As someone who hates exercise but loves lotr, this app motivated me to get enough steps in to move on to the caption at the bottom of the screen. I love to share this app with my friends and family because it’s actually really fun. Seeing my little hobbit character move across the screen and reviewing the trek I’ve made makes me want to keep going until I can get rid of the ring. I check this app everyday and I am constantly trying to beat my previous record. It’s also insanely accurate to the books which is fun to recall. It gives you a irl glimpse into what the fellowship went through in their long journey. If you like the lord of rings at all, I highly recommend that you get this app..Version: 1.6.1

Super fun way to stay motivated!A couple of my friends downloaded this for the new year, and we all love it! We love getting to update each other on our progress. It’s a really fun way to track your walking progress, and it is obvious a lot of work went into the app. My only complaint is I wish I could add my friends to see each other’s progress and compete directly instead of just with the extra characters..Version: 1.3

One of these Challengers is not like the OthersI just got started, 4 days in. I really like the easy navigation of the app and the art style. My one complaint is that Mr. Underhill (your challenger) is springing all day such that he is about 60 miles ahead of me. I had to change to John Snowflake to feel like I’m actually competing. Only reason I could see challenging Mr. Underhill us if you do a marathon every day, and that’s just not realistic. Overall, highly recommend! Just wish I could race one of my favorite fantasy characters on more equal footing..Version: 1.3

So True to the Books!I’ve walked 60 miles so far with this app and I am just delighted with how it highlights all the events that the hobbits have along the way. It includes details the movie completely leaves out so it’s very refreshing to feel like I’m actually walking in real time along with them! I didn’t know it would be following the book so closely when I got it, but I love that it includes their meeting with Gildor and even the little details like when it starts raining or when they hear the Black Rider’s cry. It’s just so magnificent and delightful. The scrolling silhouette art is also just so aesthetic, I love it! :D.Version: 1.4

Amazing app!Beautiful graphics, accurate storyline, fun to use!.Version: 1.6.1

The Ruler of the BandsIt’s a little funny to see the generic names for the story of The Lord of the Rings, but it makes it worth it if it means it doesn’t go higher than $4. It’s the funnest app! I share screenshots with my friends, we’ve all gotten it together. The only thing I’d add is allowing your friends to join in on your journey, so you could compete within the app. Much like how you see Mr. Underhill on the map, it would make it much better if I could see my friends on the map. We still share each other our mile count, it would make it that much more immersive if we could see our progress altogether in the app..Version: 1.3

Beautifully Designed, Well Worth the One Time PaymentThis app is absolutely worth the $3 or $4 (I don't remember, but the dollar makes no difference. Especially since it's a one time charge!). The illustrations are so pretty, and I love the narrative that goes along with it. If dopamine helps you stay motivated, this is the walking app for you. I have increased my daily steps by about 150%!!! I used to walk an average of 2-4 miles a day, now it's 4-7 miles a day. The passion, energy, and creativity of this app developer shines brightly through their work. I hope that there is another quest after I arrive at Mount Fire! I don't want it to end in a year. My ONLY complaint is that every single one of my friends I've shown this app to has immediately downloaded it and loves it, BUT we can't challenge each other! If that ever is ever added as a feature, this app will be PERFECT..Version: 1.6.1

BeautifulWhat a beautifully put together app, I’d highly recommend giving it a go. You can tell that the dev has really considered the design and how it links with your health to encourage you to keep moving! Well done 👏.Version: 1.2.2

Love it!I’ve been using this since January I believe and the one time $5 purchase was very much worth it. It’s nice to have an app that doesn’t charge a subscription :) Very well made.Version: 1.6.1

Awesome and could be so much moreI love it. It keeps me motivated to see the little hobbit moving with the ever changing background. But it could be so much more ! I don’t understand what the count of meals mean, I’d like to zoom in on the map, the stats could be more elaborate, I’d like to be able to share my progress more too etc..Version: 1.3

Great motivator, needs better pedometer supportLove the app, it just needs to be able to better sync with Apple Health or other pedometers like FitBit without needing to download other apps. I use a FitBit and have had to turn off my iPhone’s pedometer entirely, while using a third-party app to send my FitBit steps to my phone, then manually sync frequently throughout the day or Fantasy Hike will lag way behind. It’s a lot to deal with just so I can enjoy the app..Version: 1.3

Perfect companion on epic walk to workI can’t praise this app enough. If you love epic fantasy and you have to walk anywhere (even down to the shops and back), this is the app for you. It looks beautiful, it’s designed with a sense of humour and love for the source material, there are no adverts and it doesn’t intrude on your life. I’m not kidding, this is the loveliest little app I’ve downloaded in five years. I’ll be sorry when the journey is over..Version: 1.2.1

Really motivationalAwesome app.Version: 1.6.1

Fun little LOTR fan exercise app! This is one of the funnest most imaginative little apps I’ve ever seen. Must have for fans of Lord of the Rings. The background art and animation are truly inspired and the story line is simple, fun and easy to follow. The app creator obviously isn’t licensed from the Tolkien Estate and so has to make up approximate names for each of the milestones but the approximations are so clever you never have trouble understanding what “Halflington” is or “Comfort Hollow” or any of the other scenes familiar with the stories would know. It’s easy to forget this is a simple pedometer at heart. I’d give it 6 stars if it was available. Really well done. Update: 345 days later ans I’ve walked 1780 miles and completed my quest. Just awesome and fun! Well worth the money..Version: 1.2.3

Thoroughly enjoyedI really loved using this app and tracking where I was along the quest. I would love it if the developers would add in some faster competitors (or the ability to compete against my own time) in the future. I finished the quest on day 95, roughly 1300 miles ahead of Mr. Underhill. It was a lot of fun trying to race against him in the beginning but once he started “Resting in Riverdale” he did not get up again until I had finished out the quest. Regardless, seeing the achievements pop up and going back over my days to read the text updates was a lot of fun!.Version: 1.6.1

Great motivation!I used to walk regularly and found myself lacking motivation recently. I saw someone mention this online and didn’t have very high expectations - this is so much better than I was anticipating! The artwork is beautiful and I’ve only just started. I respond well to “gamifying” things so I expect this will work well for me. Still unsure what the “late morning” “elevenses” etc categories are for though. Looking forward to getting to Mt. Fire! 😅.Version: 1.3

I’m Going on an Adventure!Seriously one of the most fun apps I’ve downloaded in a while. Literally zero effort as far as using the app goes; you can choose to never open it if you don’t want, but it’s so much fun to get random little milestones throughout your day. All of the little details abundantly clear that a lot of love and effort went into this app. 10/10 would recommend and I have been recommending it to literally all of my coworkers..Version: 1.4

🤍I love this app and have the full version. It’s so creative! However, since I don't often have my phone on me, I move too slowly and it's discouraging a bit. I'm a pretty active person so I can't wait for it to reflect that. I’m looking forward to the day it will be possible to connect my Fitbit! Thank you for working on this!.Version: 1.3

Super fun! This app is super simple, and is a lot of fun to check after my daily runs to see where I am in the journey to Mount Doom! Steal of a deal for such a cheap price..Version: 1.4

One app to rule them allReally enjoying walking alongside mr underhill on his way to mount doom. as a postman i typically walk around 20KM a day and still fall behind most days. currently pacing ahead as he’s having an extended rest at rivendell. great illustrative companion if you read the books alongside your journey..Version: 1.2.3

Awesome idea!I am really loving this app but I agree with others that there is just no way to keep up with Mr. Underhill. I would love to be able to enjoy the journey with him side by side or even be able to meet up with him at various points along the way. I know it would not be true to the storyline if he had to wait for days/weeks for my slow pace but it would still be fun. If the creator ever wants to expand on the experience - maybe be able to create yourself as a character???? But all in all - fun little app!.Version: 1.0.3

Fun!!!!Definitely worth the cost! I really love this app!.Version: 1.7

So cute but wish it supported FitBitI really love this little app and the only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because it doesn’t support FitBit. I don’t have an Apple Watch and I don’t carry my phone with me all the time so I know it’s not getting all my steps. Regardless though, it’s a great little motivator and really well-designed..Version: 1.3

A Triumph from Beginning to EndI just finished the complete trek. The attention and love put into every mile of the journey (even the interminably long river) is a testament to the app creator’s passion. So much better in every way than the “other” app that features an expensive, branded hike in a similar fantasy world. It’s been a pleasure to have this app accompany my journey for the last 366 days. The ONLY thing that would make it better is getting to play along on the journey back home!.Version: 1.6.1

Great ! (but they charge)I love love love this app. It’s really cute and the graphics are super. Wish it was made clearer that you had to pay for it to record more that a mile a day. But tbf it wasn’t a large maybe - I can’t really remember maybe £2 - I am happy I payed - having lots of fun tracking my miles walking !.Version: 1.6.1

Simply DelightfulOutstanding indie app that tracks your progress hiking through pseudo-Middle Earth. Would have like more options for the virtual ‘challengers’ that journey with you, but aside from that I love everything about it. The little descriptions that change as you walk are a nice treat in my day..Version: 1.6.1

My new favourite app!Great app, lovely imagery, and it’s nice to get a demo first to know whether you want to pay for the full version - rather than it costing money to initially download. (I think it’s worth paying the small fee for premium) Somethings I think would make it even better: - once finished, it would be fun to be able to play against yourself from your previous run, to see if you can get to ‘mount fire’ in a much quicker time than before. - to be able to play with friends as I think it would make the game a lot more interesting and add a fun competitive element. - would be nice to sync with Fitbits and other health devices as the health app isn’t as accurate. - to see how fast the challengers pace is, and their averages km per day, and so you know who’s best to challenge. - to zoom in on the map more as it’s very small and zoomed out. Over all an extremely good apps, but just some things that would make it more enjoyable, and make it being a paid game more worth-while, as there aren’t that many features!.Version: 1.6

It’s still darkI bought and have been using the app for a few days and it’s been night nearly the whole time. I have lung issues and walk between 1.6 and 2 miles a day. The main picture turned to night at the beginning of day 2, after about 1.75 miles. Is it going to be dark the entire trip to Mount Fire? Other than that, I love the app. Since I don’t go too far each day I love being able to “walk with” Hairyfoot Potter since I can keep up with him! Thanks for a great app…if I can figure out how to see “daylight” it’s worth five stars!.Version: 1.3

Favourite App of all timeMotivates me more than any fitness or exercise app ever has. I recommend this app to everyone that I meet, can’t imagine life without it..Version: 1.6.1

Only downside is the small feeIf you pay the small fee this app is just so good with the full version. I am competing against my friends to see who can walk to mount fire first! It encourages me to get out and about and do lots of exercise!.Version: 1.6.1

Great funHuge fan of TLotR here and I have to say this is amazing. I’m completely fine with them not giving the rights to Middle Earth (or just doing it for fun itself) because you can definitely tell where along the journey of “The Ring” you are. Clever little plays on names keep you up to date on where you are, along with little explanations of what’s going on around you makes it a lot of fun. The names of the people that you are “racing” to the mountain (not sure what it’s called in this version but I can only imagine it’s going to be great!) are a lot of fun too. Definitely caters to however active you are/want to be. Right now I’m racing “Jon Snowflake” 😝. It’s just the little things that make it the most fun! It’s definitely keeping me in the walking mindset because I don’t want him to be there before I am (right now I’m about 4.22 miles ahead of him after 95 days and 386 miles, the perfect pace for me to keep it fun to stay ahead)! Seriously though, if you want to make it fun to walk, it’s definitely worth putting the few dollars down (what, one beer? Mountain Dew? Whatever’s a good comparison!) to keep you up and being part of an epic tale!.Version: 1.5

Really enjoy it: one thing tho.I loved the walk to Mordor app and I was devastated when they canned it but I was super excited to see this one. One thing that bums me out is it automatically tracks my walking distance whereas WtM I manually had to import my distance from my Fitbit app which I honestly preferred because I don’t usually use my phone when working out. Is there a way to disable the automatic function and switch to manual? I’m tossing up whether or not to buy the full version because there’s a lot of pros to this app but I’m a creature of habit and I’ve grown very comfortable with WtM. Maybe I’ll just have to suck it up 😅.Version: 1.3

Interesting idea, well implemented.I’m completing the journey for the second time and still really enjoying it. The frequency of notifications is perfect. A nice reason to get out of the house and walk!.Version: 1.6.1

Fantasy questVery enjoyable. The scenery and variety of characters/places encountered along the way make the quest interesting and exciting. I am finding that the app is encouraging me to go walking more often as I want to discover the next part of the “story”..Version: 1.5

Great appAs a LOTR fan this is something quite fun and unique, I walk a fair bit day to day and this is a far more interactive and fun than a standard tracking app really worth it if you’re a fan of the series looking to add that to walking.Version: 1.0.3

Great appI personally didnt mind paying the little bit extra, HOWEVER the only issue i have is i feel as though the slowest challenger Hairyfoot Potter is still really not that slow.. im on day 16 and already 11 km behind and ive walked 46.5 km, im not an incredibly active person as id like to be as im a student and dont have much time for anything else so maybe i should just remove the challenger aspect tbf since im not really looking for a challenge just curious about walking to mordor idk.Version: 1.6.1

Fun & MotivatingI do a lot of walking for my job, and while I can look at my watch and see how far I’ve walked, it feels much more like an accomplishment using this app. I paid for the full version so I can get the most use out of it - but I would like to see more walks in the future from other fantasy or even sci-fi books, movies, tv shows or even video games that I could pick from in future once I complete this walk. Perhaps walk from the Wall to the Reach in Westeros, with side stops in important places. Walk the forbidden forest at Hogwarts. There are plenty of planets from Star Wars that could prove interesting as well just to begin!.Version: 1.3

Track friendsGreat little app, just wish I could see my friend’s progress on the map alongside me..Version: 1.3

Motivated appEnjoy this app makes me want to get up and move.Version: 1.6.1

Love this appThis has been a really motivating and positive way for me to track how much I walk around without focusing on it in an unhealthy manner. Because you’re not setting daily goals or anything like that it’s easy to forget about it, and just get happy notifications when you make progress. I’ve walked 145 miles since getting my dog about 3 months ago, and that’s so much more gratifying to me than saying we go on a walk twice a day. I love the idea of a quest/journey. Absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone who wants to track their walking without focusing on calories.Version: 1.7

Fun app, potential for more!Lovely and motivating app! It would be lovely if when you finally arrive at Mount Fire and tick that box, to be able to go on other fantasy walks–no matter if they’re canon to the source material or not (e.g. from Winterfell/the Wall to King’s landing in Westeros, along the yellow brick road in Oz, around certain areas or one long route through every area in Elden Ring, through the map in Earthsea, etc.). Something like this alongside a profile where you can share which treks you have completed, etc. with others. It would certainly require a lot of research and programming, but it would be a nice thing to look forward to. Additionally, having the ability to compete with/against friends would be swell!.Version: 1.6.1

It makes me moveI have been trying to get more active and thought I would give this a try as I love lotr. It’s brilliant. I am keen to keep up with Alice, the graphics are beautiful and it has become an highly anticipated part of my routine to check my progress. Cannot recommend enough!.Version: 1.6

Almost perfectThis app is amazing! My sister and I have been in competition ever since we downloaded it. The only thing that would make this app 100% perfect, would be if there was a setting where I could set my “challenger” as her/someone in my contacts. Is there any way this can be updated? Other than that, I love this app. The artwork, the book accurate milestones! Very very good!.Version: 1.6.1

Love it!A friend on the other side of the world and I are competing on daily walks to keep up and see who gets to Mordor first, thanks to this app! Only improvement is it keeps tracking my movements around the house so I feel like I’m cheating!.Version: 1.2.1

Best fantasy fitness app I’ve seenI’ve only had this app for a small amount of time but I’m totally in love with it! It has mesmerising art and the layout is very easy to understand! Your competitor Mr underhill is a great edition! Wish we could pick some sort of profile for him! But other than that this app has everything a Lord of the Rings enthusiast would like within an app. Couldn’t recommend it enough!.Version: 1.2.2

Gorgeous, Interesting, and Worth the PriceI have never done an app review before but I have to here. This fitness app is my dream. I wish there were more like it! I went into this tentatively after being disappointed by many fitness apps and ended up paying the 4 bucks for the paid version just a week later. The story is fun to read and watch. The character slowly travels through the world and I feel good taking a lot of steps so I can move the story along. I cannot recommend this enough. I pray they come out with more apps like this!!.Version: 1.5

Question…So, the idea of this app is AWESOME! But in practice, I’m having trouble… if there is an answer that fixes my problem I will give this 5 stars but as for now… I spent the money to buy this app to be able to track more than one mile a day. I then bought an app that connects my fit bit to my health so that I can use that data to track my steps. So far it’s not working. The health app syncs fine, but it never uploads to fantasy hike. So it’s tracking just what my phone tracks, which since I don’t carry it with me all the time, is useless to me. So far I’m out $10 for nothing and I don’t see any type of help or support for this app. I’m trying to reach out this way and would love to change and update this review if I get answers… UPDATE: AWESOME!! Just awesome!! There was an issue with how the data was being transferred from my Fitbit to fantasy hike and after speaking with one of the makers of the app (who got back to me within 24 hours) and troubleshooting together, they literally purchased the same Fitbit to see why it was working properly. They figured it out and updated to app just so I can walk to Mordor more accurately!!! GREAT SERVICE! GREAT APP! GREAT THANKS!.Version: 1.2.3

Great appI found this app through somebody on TikTok and was instantly hooked! I love getting the notifications through my phone when I’m walking. It makes me wanna walk further to see where I end up next, I love it!.Version: 1.6.1

App freezingI love this app and have been using since the start of the year. I went to open it today and the app froze and I had to close out of it. It happens each time I open it. I’m worried that if I delete it and reinstall it I’ll lose all my progress. Any tips?.Version: 1.7

Worth itGreat app, lovely art and worth the £3ish to have unlimited steps, you understand where the devs are coming from and it’s such a small amount of money. Fun to see where abouts you are but it’s a pity the map is so small, would be great if there was a separate section that you could zoom in on and the markers for locations were more noticeable. Other than than, absolutely worth it :).Version: 1.3

Lovely appSaw it on Reddit and had to download it. The art style is great and it’s quirky enough to make a fun app to come back to. Would love to see a widget included. Happy to support and buy the premium version. Thanks for not being a subscription!.Version: 1.0.3

Cool app worth it.Would be good if it could let you challenge a friend instead of the default randoms.Version: 1.6.1

Super fun!Really enjoyable way to track your steps. Love the storyline along the way. I wish there was a way to get a bird’s eye view of all your progress since the start..Version: 1.5

Brilliant AppI love this app so much, it’s really motivated me to get out in the evenings just to see what next on the map. I love the place names and the descriptions of the terrain. The achievements and notifications are great, best £3 I’ve spent in a long long time!.Version: 1.2.2

Feeling like FrodoI love to follow the path to Mordor as it is described on the books, but it would be great if I could see my friends along the way too (I gave up on Mr Underhill, that guy is impossible!🤣) that would make it more fun🙂.Version: 1.7

Awesome appHey I downloaded this originally on Jan 31 and loved it so I bought the upgrade. However on Feb 14 my phone broke down and I wasn’t able to save anything. I redownloaded the app and was wondering if there is anyway for my progress or payment to come back? This is a great app tho and is such a great concept I look forward to keep using it..Version: 1.3

486 Days to Mount FireAt last, the ring, along with the “wrecked creature”, have been destroyed in the flames of Mount Fire! Sheesh… that’s the last time I accept jewelry from a grizzled old man in a robe…. I started this app on a whim and was delighted by the gorgeous graphics and Second Breakfast calculations. But to be honest, racing “Mr. Underhill” was quickly demoralizing; our diminutive chap was making more miles in a day than I sometimes might make in a week. I’ll grant that this was simply true(r) to the story, but I wished I had some more leisurely hairy-footed heroes to keep pace with. The addition of slower halflings definitely made me feel like less of a tree-person. Thanks to the developer for adding this ego-gentle feature. ;).Version: 1.6.1

Love it overall - manual update would be great.Love the theme and the fun of the app. Overall think it’s great and really enjoy using the app and mentally being a Halfling! An option to manually input data or for data to better update when manually adjusted would make it 5* for me. I do have my app linked to health app, but some adjusted data hasn’t updated which is a bit annoying..Version: 1.3

$5?! That’s it?!I was pretty disappointed that there was a 1.5 km cap on how far you’re allowed to walk, so it was discouraging when it said I’d reach Mordor by 2027, when I know it only took Frodo and Sam 13 months. To remain unbiased, the 1.5 km cap is crappy. I can see why it would turn people off, to not want to keep using this for that reason as I was one of those. Until I realized it was only $5 for the full access. That’s it!! I get some might not want to spend the money, which is cool. So in all fairness, I have to give 4 stars considering the cap, but also taking into account how cheap it is for the full version. It definitely beats the price for the one with the medals sent in the mail!.Version: 1.5

Perfect for a LOTR fan regardless of if you like to walkI’m developing a pretty unhealthy obsession with LOTR and the entire Middle-Earth universe and was looking for apps to help supplement this. This app is totally adorable, I love the simplicity, and the attention to detail. Even if you aren’t competitive and don’t like to walk, you get to follow along with “Mr. Underhill’s” journey in real time, making it feel like you’re going on the Ring Quest yourself, in tandem with your daily life. I enjoy waking up every day to see how far Frodo would have got. I think it’s going to give me a real appreciation for his journey by the end. A must have app for LOTR fans, sporty or not!.Version: 1.6

Gorgeous appI recommend this to every lotr fan i meet, it’s such a fun app that encourages me to take little walks and look after my health. I love the aspect of trying to beat the challenger, i’m a bit too slow for Mr. Underhill but Hairyfoot Potter is a perfect pace!.Version: 1.3

Very special!Thoroughly enjoying this app, worth every penny spent! Beautiful graphics and a nice story as you go along, I check it every day to see the progress I’ve made. A really nice long term bit of enjoyment! 😁.Version: 1.6.1

Perfect walking appEven if you’re not a fan of Tolkien, you’ll love this walking app. It’s a great way to incentivise you to walk daily and farther. The graphics are very pretty and the story is engaging. I wonder if the developers will be writing other adventures later on? It’s okay if not, I can just start this adventure over with a different Challenger, but it would be nice to explore more of “Middle Earth”. Fully recommended if you want to add some fantasy fun to your walks..Version: 1.7

More contentGreat app, love the motivation it provides but it has little content and definitely needs more. i love that it’s more of a game type app rather than an fitness layout app..Version: 1.4

Motivating!I use this app with my brothers across continents. It’s become our regular thing to compete with how far each other is and it spurs us on for longer walks/ hikes. If only you could compete against your friends/ family on the map other than an AI! Definitely download it. Every nerds dream app!.Version: 1.6.1

AdorableI’m a big fan of this app, it makes tracking my exercise enjoyable and makes me want to go further every time. This is more of a wishlist item, but I think it would be fun to have some music. I like the idea of putting in my earbuds with the app in the background playing appropriately themed music based on where on the map (or story) I am. I hit a marker while jogging, and the music changes to something more dramatic as I have reached the mountain, etc. I’m not sure how difficult that would be, but I think it would be a neat feature, that with enough variety I would pay extra for..Version: 1.2.1

10/10Would recommend.Version: 1.5

ExcitedOnly started today and already love the app! I. Competition with friends and wish you could challenge them on the app though.Version: 1.2.2

So cute!I love this app! I wish it connected to Fitbit though, since I feel like it’s a little more accurate to my movement than my phone is since I don’t always have my phone in my pocket at work. But it’s an easy fix (I just go into my health app and add in the distance my Fitbit said I did manually) so it’s not really a hassle or anything. I love the graphics and the idea. Can’t wait to see how the app progresses!.Version: 1.4

I might just get fit thanks to this appI’m having so much fun!! I have walked more since I downloaded this thanever before💀 I’ve convinced all my friends to give it a go as well it’s been a blast! My favourite part is seeing scenery from the book brought to life as I wander along:).Version: 1.3

Only ‘fitness’ app that works for meI love this app so much! So far, it has been the only fitness app that keeps me motivated as I ‘compete’ against one of my favourite characters from my favourite story of all time!!.Version: 1.6.1

Please develop a widgetLove this app and I'm racing my friends from around the world. One thing that would make it so much better is to make a widget for it so I can have the graphic on my home screen..Version: 1.7

Fantastic walking/activity appI saw someone review this on TikTok (@hollyauna) and immediately went to check it out, purchasing the full version pretty quickly. I love the visuals, descriptions, how easily it fits into my routine with apple products, and the overall design of the app. Once I finish this journey, I’ll be looking for another themed fitness app, so if the developers make another one I’d look into that also..Version: 1.3

Best app purchase everMy friend and I got the app together and we are currently racing to Mt. Fire. I’m definitely not winning, but I’ve almost tripled the amount of calories I’ve burned on average this year compared to last year just from walking. It’s a lot of fun to do with friends, and it’s an easy way for us to motivate each other with a bit of friendly competition..Version: 1.4

Awesome App, worth every cent!My family’s been raving for me to get this app, they all have it, so happy I caved since it’s UX and perks are pretty sick ngl. Encourages me to get out and walk more, that alone, I tip my hat off to you developers, good day I say!.Version: 1.6.1

I hate LOTR…. Let me explainSo when I was a child my mom would send us to this babysitter who would shove like 20 kids into a room with a bunch of toys, pizza rolls, and a TV (It was the 90’s so no one batted an eye at this) On the TV this woman would play LOTR Every. Single. Day. I am not exaggerating. 3 years. Every single day. 20 screaming toddlers. Lord of the rings. At this point I’ve heard it all. “What a smart woman” “sounds like a good babysitter to me!” No. No. Wrong. She was a wonderful lady but now as an adult when I encounter anything LOTR I get PTSD and I’m transported back to that unfortunate time in my life. This is an amazing app! And I downloaded it for the purpose of wanting to walk more and I like other fantasy things (Harry Potter, ACOTAR, Etc.) all I’m asking is that you have other fantasy options for people who don’t like or don’t watch LOTR like different map options with Harry Potter or ACOTAR or Game of Thrones.. literally anything else. Other than that, it’s a super cool app! Just maybe some other options? 😁.Version: 1.6.1

I like but…….Why do you need to pay for it? I walk loads during my day job and I’m only allowed to take so many steps as this needs to be paid for! Had it for a week but won’t complete this journey until February 2028 Will see how it goes but may end up deleting this app.Version: 1.3

Love this appI love how fun it’s made walking be and I recommend it to almost everyone. Before I’d just use the health app and it wouldn’t motivate me at all. Something’s I would like to see is some one to race that is in between the speeds of John snowflake and mr. Underhill. I’d also love to be able to race friends as well. Can’t wait to see the new update!!.Version: 1.6.1

Needs a friend feature!I LOVE this so much! It’s gotten me super motivated to walk and exercise more and honestly most of what I do now revolves around completing this by the end of the year. However…. A friend feature to compete against your friends would be amazing!! It would just raise it to the next level and I really really hope this happens in the near future!!.Version: 1.3

Love this AppFound this app through you posting about it on Reddit almost a year ago. The art is beautiful, the addition of other walking partners is a great idea as even with a disability, a friend of mine is able to feel like they have someone to walk against. A year later I’ve still not quite completed it as I’m not allowed my phone on me, but excited to see the art towards the end!.Version: 1.3

Fantastic and motivating app!I absolutely love this app and it was well worth the $4 I spent on it! To be clear, I’m quite lazy a little of the time and definitely overweight and motivation to get off the couch has been my biggest obstacle in getting healthy. While I’m still not at the level of fitness I should be at, I’ve found myself exercising more and dropping a few pounds since I got this app a month ago. Just being able to go on and see how much I’ve walked today makes me want to go out and do just a little bit more each time. Whether it's just trying to get to my daily average so that it doesn’t go down, pushing harder to try and gain a little more ground on Mr. Underhill, or walking another mile or two to set a new daily record,I’m exercising a lot more just because of this app! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such a big help! And by the way, it’s beautifully designed with detailed descriptions along the way! Five stars for sure!.Version: 1.1

Love it!I love everything about this app. The ambiance is gorgeous..Version: 1.2.2

Can we join teamsJoining teams with friends would be fun.Version: 1.6.1

Very good, needs online potentialI really enjoy this app. It makes walking more fun. I also love lotr! I got my friend to get this app too. However I wish you could add a friend and walk against them instead of the NPC’s you compete against. Mr Underhill is something else!.Version: 1.6.1

If you love LOTR and want to get fit, get this appHugely addictive walking / running app to track your journey through Middle Earth and shift those extra pounds at the same time. Highly recommended keep fit companion!.Version: 1.6

Fun appI’m having a great time with this app. It’s so much fun to see where I am each day. I do wish there were daylight times in the app even if they don’t match where I am. But I don’t think that’s possible with this app and how it’s art is constructed. (Maybe I haven’t reached the daylight part:) Like I said it’s super fun. I still have such a long way to go. I like the estimate of arrival too. I couldn’t put in any stars (glitch with Apple ) but I give it and easy 5 stars. Oh I just found out there is daylight hours coming up. Yay.Version: 1.7

A lot of fun, it’s just missing someoneI downloaded this app to try to get me out of the house more, and even though I’m currently set to reach mount fire sometime in 2028, I’m still having fun with it! The only thing I think is missing is that we don’t have any companions. I want a Samwise on the trip with me! He doesn’t have to do anything, I just feel bad every time I look at the screen and see the outline of my little guy walking alone. The original trek only succeeded because Frodo had friends, after all. I’d also love to see what gloriously off-brand name you guys would come up with for him. I love getting notifications and seeing where I’m headed as I walk though. Thanks for the fun app!.Version: 1.6.1

Favourite appThis is such an amazing app, really well done and more than happy to pay the one off fee. Only thing I can’t work out is what the elevenses, second breakfast etc bit means at the bottom and how you achieve these. Mine are still on 0 but my friends has gone up when we both started on the same day..Version: 1.3

My favoriteA must have for any lotr fan !!! Very loyal to the books which is a very rare thing !.Version: 1.7

Love it! Motivating and fun! This has motivated me to walk like nothing else! The fact that the distance is so long sets an expectation that you’re in it for the long haul. One feature I’d love to see in the future is some way to see where friends are at in their journey or have them as challengers..Version: 1.4

Very motivating!Fun app. Just wish it worked with my Fitbit.Version: 1.5

Not the best but it gets me movingCute app. The best part is that I don’t have to log or do anything. It automatically updates my miles from my fitness watch. I enjoy checking the narrative updates, though it is nothing exciting so far. What really motivates me is seeing my estimated end date. 2025?? That got me moving until I could get it to 2024 lol now I’m working to get it to 2023, this year. I also like seeing the pretend competitors progress. Recommendation: explain the app. There are things I don’t understand like the hobbit meal counts. Are those times I started my activity later in the day? It was worth the one time $3.99 fee but I would never pay monthly for it..Version: 1.5

Great motivator! Wish it worked with other fitness apps thoughThis app has been a great motivator to get up and moving, plus who doesn’t like to pretend they’re on a quest? The only improvement I hope to see in future releases is comparability with other fitness tracking apps. I primarily use Garmin (since I have a Garmin watch) so a lot of the runs or hikes I do don’t transfer over unless I find a way to translate the data between apps. Maybe I’m overlooking a feature of the app? Either way, as a method of passively tracking your movement this has been such a fun and easy way to get up and motivate myself to increase my steps throughout the day..Version: 1.6.1

It’s fun! And I hope they expand!I’m only 3 days in, but I am excited to watch my progress! I like the graphics and the simple layout. However, I am confused by the eating and sleeping tabs. Will those fill themselves out as the quest continues? It would be kind of nice to be able to fill them out myself or have more info about them. I am really really really hoping that this app expands to include other quests found in literature. I am a huge book nerd and would love to be able to follow the same adventures as all of my favorite characters..Version: 1.6.1

So funI love this app, myself and my girlfriend are racing each other. However I only have a fit bit which makes it a little harder. But I read they are working on integrating it! So 5 stars!!.Version: 1.3

ChallengersI really like this app! I liked how there was only a small one time purchase to get the full experience. I like how it motivates you to get up and walk. Ore. The only things I don’t like is how the challengers are too spaced, difficulty wise. The difference between Mr. Underhill and Jon Snowflake is too extreme. I couldn’t keep up with Mr. Underhill no matter how hard I tried, but Jon is no challenge at all. There should be a middle man. Also, from 800km-1090km there was only one little change. I almost lost interest there as I look forward to the different things the app says we are doing as we walk. Fix those things and you’re sure to get 5 stars every time!.Version: 1.6.1

Please make more hikePlease do a selection of more hike from different universe! The Rite from Acotar, ToG, the Witcher, King Arthur, etc.Version: 1.6.1

A great way to get into walkingIt’s great and nice to measure my distance. but i can’t work out am i trying to catch up with the guy? is that the aim? aha it seems impossible he walks so much! My only regret is not getting this 6 months earlier cos I walked a fair bit over the summer..Version: 1.2.3

Cute storyCute app concept and a nice way to encourage movement. Would love to see timezone options in the next update — I’m guessing the default is set to a Northern Hemisphere time zone because it always seems to be night time in the app (when it’s daytime in Australia). Would also love to add friends to the quest for some friendly competition!.Version: 1.3

It’ll get you out of the house!Love it! It’s got me walking, and I love the graphics and it’s really easy to use. The only thing I wish it could do was to connect with other people that use the app so you can compete with them.Version: 1.6.1

Love it! But not reaching my actual goalLove the app as it combines 2 of my favourite things. But I’m limited by how far I travel as I use a Garmin Watch on walks and runs. Anyway I can link it to the app to properly track my progress?.Version: 1.1

Love it!As a die hard lord of the rings fan this is the best way to track distance always wanted to go to Mordor :P.Version: 1.7

Love it!It’s so much fun. All the references crack me up and it really encourages me to get more steps in. Don’t be fooled, you’ll never catch Mr. Underhill unless you’re a marathon runner but that’s okay. Thank you for making the full version a one time purchase!! I hate everything being a monthly subscription, so I was happy to pay a one time payment for a super fun and enjoyable app! I kind of wish there was more content just because I enjoy the whole app so much! Would give six stars if I could..Version: 1.7

PerfectNothing I can think of to complain about. The small one time price is fair enough for the amount of effort put into making this app. And the unlimited daily cap benefit for the upgrade is well worth it. 10/10.Version: 1.2.3

Fun for Walkers and Fans of LotRThis is a great and enjoyable app for walkers and fans of LotR! I would highly recommend it; the app is easy to use, easy to understand and collects your walking data quickly. The full version of the app - that I would recommend buying to maximise your enjoyment - only costs £4, and it’s a one-time payment. The app has a few features that contribute to the enjoyment, taking into account locations from Middle-earth..Version: 1.3

Good but make it unlimited steps per dayGreat app, makes walking fun but the 1500m limit is rough, please make it unlimited or up the limit..Version: 1.3

A lot of fun but…So I’ve been using this app for quite a while, and it’s super cute. I like seeing my little character and the scenery behind me it’s a great motivator to get up and move every day. However it’s completely reset my walking data and brought me back the the beginning, I’m not sure why. I tried closing it and opening it again but it’s just doing the same glitch. I tried sliding the character and it went “day 1” so I swiped some more and it jumped to “day 14” So I continued and it went back to “day 1” then jumped again to “day 15”. So I'm not sure why it’s done this, otherwise it’s a wonderful app. And I enjoyed it while it lasted..Version: 1.3

Love this appI love LOTR and I think this is the best “walk to Mordor” app so far. The fact it can automatically just track your steps rather than having to manually enter is handy, the artwork is pretty, and I feel more interested in getting more walking in. Only gripe is how hard it is to try and keep up with Mr. underhill!.Version: 1.3

A motivatorOn days when I don’t want to move, this very basic app is helpful. I want to see how far my hobbit can go! The truth is that I’m a distance runner, so I already bank my miles in plenty of other places designed to give data to athletes, but this is a gamification of movement, which is just fun for me. That said, I’d ignore the other characters. I run 30-40 miles EVERY week and am STILL an amazing distance behind Mr Underhill who cheats. (How can he “ride”???? Where are the horses????) But I enjoy looking at where my hobbit is in the evenings..Version: 1.4

Love it!Such a fun way to keep track of activity. Full version so worth it for the price, one time purchase! Great app!.Version: 1.3

I love this appAs silly as this may sound the nerd in me adores this app it’s a wonderful way to encourage movement and the story of your journey is marvellous and satisfies my want to live within a fantasy world. I wold recommend to anyone with an active imagination even if your not interested in the hobbit. I only wish there were more quests.Version: 1.6.1

When To Count StepsI’m really looking forward to using this app, my one issue however is that I wish you could choose when to have the app count the steps on the journey. I don’t like that just walking around the house counts towards progress and I think it would be cool if you could tell the app when to start counting steps and when not to as I only want it to count when I go for proper walks. Other than that, great app..Version: 1.2.2

AmazingSo cool love it fun.Version: 1.5

This is the best nerdiest app ever and I love itI live next to hobbiton in New Zealand.Version: 1.3

Epic ! Bravo !This novel idea of going on journeys that you have read about or seen in the movies to encourage activity simply delights me ! The imagination ignites real life physical motivation especially for those of us who do sit and read or play games and find the world somewhat boring. A walk to the store for me was also me leaving the shire on a Grand adventure. Expand on this please ! This is truly something that creates a spark inside of me to be more active . Not for everyone, but there are many like me that making our daily routines part of a storybook that gets us further as we literally go the distance is nothing short of a standing ovation !.Version: 1.6.1

Perfect for LOTR fans & those tracking stepsAdds a fun twist to tracking steps and is perfect for LOTR fans, the quest follows the events of the story closely! I agree with another review that the map could be more detailed (zoomable etc) and would be great to include optional “side quests”. Perhaps these have to be completed within a certain time frame (would allow for increased step goal over certain time frame as a challenge?).Version: 1.3

Best step tracking appThis is so fun. I have never been more motivated to get steps in. I love all the detail. I would like to see update where I can start sharing and seeing progress with other users. I have got some friends and family to sign up but I would love to have us be able to see each others progress in the app. But all the same, this is a great app. Well worth the $5.50..Version: 1.3

Exactly what I’ve been looking for!I have been listening to the Fellowship audiobook while walking and was always curious if I could walk the distance to Mordor and this app is exactly what I needed! $4 purchase to do more than a mile a day was an easy yes for me. Seems new so I’m sure features will be added, but I would love to be able to add friends as “challengers” like Mr Underhill to compare distance. I would also love to have a more interactive map that I can zoom in and click on places and see how far away I am. Can’t wait to see this app get more downloads, thank you for such a fun app!.Version: 1.3

Love it!I’ve been loving this app so far. It’s nice to see my progress and track how many kilometres I’ve walked. Also, I just want to also say thank you to Jens. I recently had my phone stolen (was later found smashed to pieces). I lost all my progress, because I didn’t know I had to save files through my iCloud. Which was completely my fault but fortunately Jens was able to take one of my last screenshots and help me get my progress back! 🫶🏼.Version: 1.6.1

A delightful way to add character to step trackingMinimalist but charming visuals, seamless integration with the iOS location and step tracking functions, and thoughtfully spaced progress updates and notifications (not so often as to be bothersome but often enough to grant a sense of accomplishment). This is the “definitely not Tolkien!” version of Walk to Mordor, with the character of the original but the names changed sufficiently (Mt. Fire vs Mount Doom, etc.) to avoid copyright claims. If you’re looking to simply walk into Mordor… this is the closest you’re going to get..Version: 1.3

Beautiful app! This is one of the cutest and most motivating apps I’ve used so far! Any J.R.R. Tolkien fan would love it but not only. I really like the little character’s journey updated in real time not only on the map but also on the landscape..Version: 1.3

Still on the journey, but I love itMy sister and I started the journey together. It is a little frustrating if you don’t buy the full version because you can only do 1 mile per day, but there was a deal a couple months after we started and we both got the full version and love it. We both check in with each other periodically to see how we compare. I love reading the descriptions and seeing the scenery on the journey. Fun little app!.Version: 1.6

Fun appI’ve started this app 20 days ago and it’s keeping me motivated to keep moving. Side note, I’ve always thought my Fossil watch didn’t correctly track my steps and now I know for sure it has only been tracking about half my activity each day! So I really love this app and to know I’m not quite as inactive as I thought I was. Question though, I have no idea what the elevenses and afternoon tea section means if someone can explain that feature..Version: 1.6.1

Beautiful and Functional.I bought this app because “Walk to Mordor” is not available for iPhone, but this one is so much more beautiful! I love that there is not only a map, but also a pictorial narrative of your journey you can scroll through. Between the narrative and the badges there are many more “rewards” in the for of story updates than in the other app. I also enjoy seeing how far behind “Mr. Underhill” I am! I do wish I had the option to enter distances manually, though, like in the other app—this one imports data directly from my “Health” pedometer, so I don’t have the option to give myself credit for biking. Pity, since Mr. Underhill uses horses and boats at times! All in all, eminently worth the $4..Version: 1.2.3

Worth itI don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a walking app! The one time payment is worth it ✨☺️✨.Version: 1.3

Fantasy Hike and it’s need for small improvementsGreat app, been loving it, always nice to see that my journey to mount doom is going very well. However, I have no contact with my fellow hobbits on this daring quest. I also cannot immerse myself in the experience without any sounds to indicate how far I have travelled or where I am travelling. I implore you to reconsider the features of this app to allow for inclusion of my fellow hobbits journey to mount doom. These features would add an element of challenge and companionship to this harrowing quest. This app would be worthy of 5 stars if this feature was included, and upon completion of this addition to the app will a five star rating be granted to thee. We sincerely appreciate your time and effort to consider our request..Version: 1.6.1

What a cool app!I am early into my walking, but I really like it!.Version: 1.3

Great idea, questionable priceThe app is a fantastic idea to get people motivated to get moving. I love that you can select a character that matches your pace and that it also brings on a narrative. What keeps me from giving it five stars though is the $3.99 price tag to simply..track more steps? The max for free as far as I can see is 1 mile a day. The iPhone already tracks my steps for free, I don’t see why I need to spend $4 to have a feature implemented that’s already in my phone to begin with. I’d maybe pay if it was $1 just so I’d be able to keep up with the character you’re “racing” with but personally I don’t really mind if they’re ahead of me or not..Version: 1.3

Such a fun appI discovered this app towards the end of Covid. It’s made walking fun for me. Also thanks for adding the search for missing miles feature, as I lost some of my progress way back when and have now been able to recover it. Great to see customer feedback being taken on board..Version: 1.7

Awesome experience - beautiful artwork - worth itThe app is counter-cultural to today’s instant gratification mindset and in that it is a profound call to remember there IS another way. Without the blessing/dollars/license from the Tolkien estate it is still a wonderful experience. Some of the alternative names are hilarious and the absence of Samwise is felt but this is less a recreation and more an inspired expression of Frodo and Sam’s journey. Well done! I’m 1475 miles into it and I’m still bufuddled by Mr. Underhill’s role - is he just to get me to go farther faster?!? Grateful that you can turn that option off, though I’ve left it on hoping that there is some story connection there, but nothing so far. Would love to see a ‘prequel’ version as well!.Version: 1.7

Great app!I am loving this! It is so fun and motivating! One thing that would make this even better would be being able to choose between different adventures, for example Harry Potter walks, Star Wars walks, etc. Otherwise a fantastic app!.Version: 1.3

Outstanding app! This has made my walks, runs, and interval training so much more fun and enjoyable!! Competing with another character is really cool, and so is doing it solo. Right now I’m doing it solo, but I think once I get more in shape I’m going to do it again once I complete it. It’s definitely worth a download. PS: if you’re going to be walking on a treadmill, it will not detect that you’re walking since you’re staying in one place. Just simply add your mileage to the health app on your phone and if you’ve allowed this app permissions, it should just transfer right over. They mention it on the app :) Amazing work on this!!!.Version: 1.7

Awesome Fantasy AppI have tried a few other “walking to Mordor” apps, but this is by far the best. The active animation that shows you how far you’ve come is amazing, and the notifications are actually worth getting throughout the day. The author obviously put a lot of thought and effort into this app, and any Lord of the Rings or fantasy fan who is trying to stay active would be doing themselves a disservice by not downloading app. As a LOTR fanatic, I adore everything about this app..Version: 1.2.1

ObsessedLove this app so much!! I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s definitely motivated me to move more. Only a couple suggestions. The first is that sometimes it’s frustrating how little the landscape moves with every mile you walk so it would be cool to maybe incorporate more movement of the hobbit as I move more. Also it would be super sick to see all the characters with Frodo as he journeys: at the beginning leaving the shire we could see him with Sam, Merry, and Pippin, and when he meets the fellowship we could see him journey with them. Later on he would be with Sam and Gollum, etc. Regardless, if you love LOTR and want some motivation to move more this is the app for you..Version: 1.7

Awesome app!If you love LOTR and walking you’ll love this app! It’s getting me more active (wearing a watch and seeing how inactive I was, yikes!). I take walks at lunch now and in the evenings. Sometimes I’ll daydream about the characters in the book as I walk (I happen to be rereading the book right now too), or I’ll listen to a podcast. I’m finding my new routine very soothing. Walking, is really helping me find some “me time” and I look forward to it daily now. This app is so well done! It’s fun having a challenger to walk with. I agree with some other peoples reviews that it would be fun to be able to challenge friends! Every so often you get “achievements” as you go along and I always send mine to my husband 😜 I’m using a L8Star watch to that syncs to my iPhone 13 Pro Max encase anyone wants to know what devices I have. The watch picks up some extra steps but nothing that really matters at the end of the day..Version: 1.6.1

Very motivatingIt would be great to challenge friends!.Version: 1.3

So motivating! Needs a user guide.Hi, I love this app. I’ve done more walking since I started the hike than I have since 2020 (when walks were all we could do). Some afternoons when I don’t have energy and only plan on having a small walk, I end up walking further because “I’ve got to get to Mordor!” I’d just love to have more information about the app. For example, what is the breakfast tally?? How do I get elevensies?.Version: 1.3

Fantastic app!Such a fun app to keep track of how far I walk each day and putting a fun LOTR twist on to it, this app gets me up and moving even if it is a little bit each day! I love this app and incredibly happy with it.Version: 1.6.1

This app changed my lifeI’m on day 103 and i genuinely enjoy checking this app every day to see where i’m at. getting a new scene and prompt at the bottom fr brightens my day. i am intentional about getting my steps in & in turn walking has improved my well being in a real way. also sometimes i’ll hit the blinky a gaggle of times and just scroll all the way from the beginning to appreciate the art that went into making this app it does a really good job of capturing the whimsical lotr vibe. literally recommend this to everyone.Version: 1.6.1

Impressive appThis is such a good app! I never expected this to be so good for free, and it integrates with ios seamlessly. I love the push notifications telling me when I’ve hit a new area. I also tried a similar paid app where you can buy an official LOTR journey for a high price (I bought their cheapest as a trial) and I was totally unimpressed and uninspired - and that one doesn’t integrate with ios whatever they tell you..Version: 1.4

Brilliant until the endI’ve loved this app the whole way through, however now it’s completed there is nothing left and it doesn’t record walking any more. My only option is to reset my progress and start again, which is a little disappointing. Maybe a table with stats at the end would have helped..Version: 1.7

Love the graphicsTotally enjoying the graphic and little messages on the way. Would love to be able to add family and friends to the walk. Safety in numbers - maximum nine obviously!!.Version: 1.6.1

Great motivation to walkI love Lord of the Rings so this app is a lot of fun and a great motivation to get walking. Also the purchase is one time and only about $3.00 so it’s definitely worth it. Definitely recommend this.Version: 1.6

:)))))I’ve never even read or watched the lord of the rings or hobbit or anything (which is kind of an impressive avoidance, since I live in NZ) but this app has such a nice layout and pretty graphics, and it actually motivated me to go for a run today because I wanted to get started using it! I immediately made the one-time purchase, and I think it’s well worth it..Version: 1.3
