The cost? A whopping $40 a month if you pay weekly… That’s $40 per month, or almost $500 per year! For a plant ID app? Apple needs to radically change how apps are categorized, as well as the definition of “in-app purchase“. For an app like this to be categorized, as “free“, with a forced in-app purchase on the very first screen, is nuts..Version: 3.4

✓ PlantaI’m writing one more review for those people who are not satisfied with this app. If you want an app like this to take care of your plants it will not identify them and you have to pay for some of the things if you want the extra stuff. I would suggest Planta. This app helps you take care of your plants and how to water them where to put them in and I’ll tell you if they have too much light to less light or they need more water. So if you want to act like this and you weren’t satisfied with a sign choose Planta. (I was not satisfied with this app either you can’t use it without buying the subscriptions!).Version: 1.16

✓ BEWARE! Complete scam of an app intended to take you for a LOT of moneyI would rate this app 0 stars if possible. This app is incredibly expensive ... $12.50 USD per WEEK! At $50/month, it would have to be incredible to justify such an expense....however, I can’t judge whether that would be true or not because you cannot use the app unless you subscribe to it at the above price per week. You take the pic of the plant you want to identify, the app thinks on it and then tells you it has identified the plant, and then BOOM, the subscription window pop-up appears and gives you one choice...subscribe at $12.49/week. You don’t even get the choice of closing the pop-up, so if you don’t want to pay the outrageous price they are asking, you need to hard close the app by going to your home screen and then physically closing the app from your open app list. What’s even more interesting is that the app will “identify” the plant and demand you sign on for the recurring subscription regardless of what you take or upload a photo of. I input a photo of a drawing of an astronaut in a lightbulb...plant identified! A toothbrush...plant identified! The fingernail on my pinkie finger...plant identified! Literally, a pure black screen because I covered the camera lens before taking the pic...plant identified! Now give us $50USD per month for CRAP!
