✓ I liked it at firstThe only reason I downloaded this app is because I wanted a way to relax and just kind of chill after a long day or something. And at first when I opened the app, the first maybe 10 minutes of this game was amazing. I loved how satisfying it was. But when I was about fifteen minutes in, I ran out of hearts. So I thought, “oh, I’ll just pay 200 coins for more hearts.” But I didn’t have enough, so I went to check if there was any other way for me to play. But the only way was for me to buy more coins with real money. And I’m not really the type of person who pays for games because I always find it a waste of money. So I went to check when the next time I could gain more hearts, and it was 20 HOURS. I had to wait a whole DAY just to gain like five hearts. So what I’m saying is, you can only play the game maybe once a day if you’re not willing to pay. Overall, this game is not my favorite but it’s not the worst, I just don’t like the way the creators think they can scam me to buy more coins that will probably be pretty useless to me. ✓ Not a fair game.A really fun game at first. Can’t remember what level I deleted the game on but way over the 100th level. At first I enjoyed playing the game I didn’t make any app purchases at first. I simply waited until the live refilled which would take up to 30 minutes a life. I didn’t want to purchase to remove ads so I would exit app refresh and enter game again so I didn’t have to watch the ads. I noticed that once I completed this move the app would remove one of my life’s. I ignored it however I began to purchase coins for life’s. You need 400 coins to replenish 5 life’s. That’s an absurd amount noting the cheapest bundles only gives you about 175 or 200 coins. Once I started making purchases I noticed that the game became more difficult and with out the advantage of the help at bottom of screen shuffle 10 coins, back move 20 coins and remove 3 cards 60 coins, which you have to pay for in coins. This is expensive in coins. So I decided not to spend money on coins anymore which made it more difficult to pass levels. I had my final straw at losing a game and going to the are you sure you want to give up picture on your screen and seeing I had 15 seconds until my next life. So I exit that game just to get to the Home Screen and the app took my only life after the clock ended in 5 seconds. I don’t know if it was a glitch but I’m done. ✓ Fun but hard to recommendI have been enjoying this game, but I can’t really recommend it for three reasons: broken ads, overpriced store, & zero updates. BROKEN ADS: There are a lot of ad breaks, but this is expected. However, the ad server they use is broken. Half the time the ads either freeze up or get stuck in a loop, requiring a hard close to get out of them. This is made worse by the game deciding that this counts as losing a life. So you get penalized for the broken ads. OVERPRICED STORE: The cheapest & lowest amount coin pack (375 coins) is $8 USD. Given that this game does the usual free-to-play thing of trying to get you to buy stuff to continue, but the prices are too high. It’s a really blatant cash grab even for a mobile game. ZERO UPDATES: Finally, there have been no updates to this game aside from “here’s a new room”, which is the least needed update. There are inactive power-ups supposedly for a future update that is probably never going to happen that greet you every time you start a level. And of course, there are the broken ads that should be patched. In short, it’s broken, greedy, & neglected. The play itself is fun, but this isn’t the best way to experience it. ✓ Good game but glitchy and repetitiveI’ll start by saying this game is very addictive and I really enjoy playing it but there’s a few things that mar my experience. Lots of glitches in the refilling of lives - sometimes I’ve got 11 minutes until the next life and then I open it 15 minutes later and I’ve still got 25 minutes until the next life. As I’ve played more I’ve noticed that a lot of levels are repeated - like not just the same pattern/layout but literally down to it being the exact same tiles in the same places. Bit disappointing. ✓ Great Game, But…This is one of my favorite games, but, my game data inexplicably advanced (and disappeared). One day, I was well below the hundredth level, had only decorated 3 rooms, and had over 200 points to purchase room decorations. The very next day, the game had advanced to over level 570, 53 rooms were decorated, and I had less than 20 points for room purchases. I gained well over 400 levels and lost resources that I didn’t use in a 24 hour timespan. It would have been nice to advance through the levels on my own and to have decorated the 50 rooms with pieces of my choice. I have put in multiple requests for the game to be uninstalled so that I may reinstall it and start from the beginning. It’s been well over a month, and nothing has changed. I still play the game, but will not invest more money to purchase upgrades. Also, beware using (or paying) for the tools that allow you to scramble the tiles. ✓ Love/hateI really like the concept and game play…. However so many glitches and game crashes. It just shuts down mid game then you lose your life along with any coins spent in that level. It freezes and becomes super slow at times especially during the daily timed puzzles. I don’t find myself being very zen after playing this sometimes. More frustrated! ✓ It’s okI like the game apart from when I keep getting put onto random websites that I don’t click on and when I go back onto the game it continually keeps taking me to websites I haven’t clicked on. One of the main things I don’t understand with this game is that when I’m doing a level and when you can’t match 3 of something like there’s no more room on the board at the bottom thingy, it says you lost the level but that’s stupid because I can’t help where the things are placed on the level and I’m loosing lives so quickly because of that. ✓ Financial cost too highI loved this game when I first got it, there were enough good in-app coin rewards to convince you you could actually play it without spending a fortune, even though the coins etc were much pricier than other games I play. But then the rewards became fewer and the cost of cheats went up, and I’m not one to spend stupid money on a game like that so I just gave it up rather than waste my cash for a game that’s no longer fun. Also, there are app glitches that are super frustrating. If I run lives down to zero, then the countdown to the first life renewing goes back to zero instead of actually giving a new life after 30 mins. If I don’t run out of lives they refresh normally. And sometimes you get stuck in an ad between levels (exit button either doesn’t work or doesn’t appear) and you have to exit the app to get back to game play, meaning you lose a life. So for those reasons I don’t really recommend. It would be a great game otherwise which is why my score isn’t 1 star. ✓ Not as advertisedIf you are looking at this game because you have seen an ad with a large grid of tiles that you just click through to clear then you will be disappointed with the reality. While the game itself is initially quite easy and fun to play as you go through the levels the patterns the tiles are laid out become increasingly complex and it becomes more of a guessing game. Once past the initial easy levels it becomes near impossible to complete the levels without spending money. I only play now for the daily puzzle which can usually be completed without the need to spend ‘coins’. Recent changes have seen challenges come in which I am finding intensely irritating as there are now three different pop ups to get rid of when I go in the game. Considering the fame calls itself zen I find myself feeling anything but zen when I play the main levels. It should offer more chances, especially when you pay to get rid of the ads. The levels seem to be programmed to be impossible to pass sometimes, and you’d need to spend money to get more than 5 games per session, which I now refuse to do. The only bonuses are two power-ups you can earn each day, which go nowhere when the levels are so difficult. The amount of coins you win to buy more gameplay are ridiculously low. ✓ Adds are the worstYeah sure, the game on this app, spectacular. But what about the adds? Hahaha, trust me you’ll hate every second of it. Every time I play a round either at the beginning or after the round when you click home or continue, an add will pop up. Now these can be easily skipped, but there a few problems. Sometimes in adds if I click to finish the add, the screen will freeze. Causing me to refresh the game, thus if you clicked continue or retry, your life will get stolen. I don’t know if it’s just me but this is just a reason why it’s not a favorite among my other games. ✓ MehNow I play this game a bunch of times a day, but it’s nothing special. It takes 30 minutes just for one life to refill, with a max of 5 (this takes way too long, especially because the lives while glitch out a lot) The levels aren’t very hard. The vibrations are nice I guess. The room decorating is a total waste, it has like 15 total colors for everything, and they’re all pretty ugly. You can’t pair colors very well without everything being the exact same color. Also there are daily levels which you play to get some sort of plant, the more you play the bigger the plant, but it’s unclear why. I’ve never figured out where the plant goes. It doesn’t become part of the decorations, since you just chose colors for pre chosen furniture. There’s no room for them, they’re just in the calendar as an incentive I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ Edit: I’m now on level 1940, and I’m fed up. I’ve been stuck for weeks, and I’ve tried getting 30/40 coins for a mix up from the daily calendar, but it’s slow since I have to wait a day for another level. However this game is clearly frustrating and clearly wants you to spend money. 1 life every 15-30 minutes. Some levels are near impossible without lifelines or spending money on coins. Great little game, I’ve got to level 447 (took me a while to get used to the excessive adverts after every single level completed) and been enjoying it. Suddenly everything costs up to 8 times as much!! It’s worse than the cost of living crisis we’re all going through!! You earn the same amount of coins to buy the boost but they don’t go anywhere near as far. Also the daily win has gone from winning an undo and a shuffle to a mere 5 and 10 coins so max 15 coins a day and it now costs 80 coins for a shuffle or 120 coins for the extra card space so working that out it will take 6 days to win enough coins to buy a single shuffle when you used to win that every day and 8 days to earn the 120 coins! I’m guessing the developers are running out of levels and trying to slow everyone down by making the game ridiculously difficult. The app itself is lovely, however there are significant issues with the ads: 1) there is one ad which somehow triggers repeatedly without me even touching the screen. When you try to get back to the game it immediately takes you back to the page in safari, again without any clicking. ✓ Tournament lengthI was enjoying this game until Just recently playing in the tournaments. It might state there is 1 day and 17 hours left or similar and when you go back to the game in say an hours time the tournament is over and you have gone from the top of the leaderboard down to the bottom but there is still one day and so many hours left. This wasn’t happening at first but it is constantly occurring now. There seems to be four or five tournaments inside the two days originally stated. This is misleading and frustrating. However, I had to delete it because once you get pass the initial “easy stage”, the rewards get smaller and you have then start relying on your free moves or coins. I personally think the game is designed to get players to start paying their own money to play. The lucky dip only lets you have two goes until you are asked to pay to receive more. The game creates a nest egg/bank from the players winnings and then asked you to pay if you want said best egg/bank. The free moves at the bottom are priced too high considering they are hints or ways to help you. A reshuffle is 10 coins, the undo is 20 and a new row is 60. That makes no sense when all you get for completing a level is 10 coins, no matter how high you go up. At the beginning, the journey chest would give you coins and or free moves but as you go further in the game, it just gives you backgrounds. You have to analyze the order of the cards and form a strategy, but over half the time, you're guessing because half the cards are hidden. It takes a long time for the lives to refill, it takes 400 coins to refill your lives sooner (which is a lot when your choices are to either win a few quests or purchase them), when the app crashes which is quite frequently, you end up losing a life. The game should give you a life every time it crashes. It also takes a lot of coins to use any of the helps. Basically there isn't a way to accumulate coins unless you purchase them or try your chances without using helps. It's not worth it to purchase them because you use them up quickly for the helps. Also, when you are stuck and you want to use the shuffle, sometimes it feels like they purposely do not give you the cards you need until you run out of coins. ✓ This is not a strategy gameAt first, this seems like a strategy game. You try to match up three tiles by uncovering certain tiles before other certain tiles. There’s a strategy to uncovering the correct tiles first and leaving others for later. I like that kind of strategy and working-things-out type of game. But very quickly, this game becomes a “luck” game. They start stacking the tiles in odd ways. You think that you’re going to uncover one tile that you need, but when you click on the tile on top of the one you need, you soon find out that there are three other tiles stacked on top of the tile you thought you could get to easily. That just stinks. Then there are the stacks of tiles at the bottom that you have to uncover. That’s all luck. If you click on the wrong tile and what you need is not underneath it, and there’s nothing to match in the mess up above, you’re out of luck. So I was hoping this was an all strategy game, and it really isn’t. I’m stuck at level 114 because I have no luck! It was fun for a while but it’s really lost its shine to me. Also, how about awarding more than just 10 coins for passing a level? I spent 140 coins just to get past a level and then I earn 10?! The rewards are way off. ✓ Nothing “zen” about this gameI really hate false advertising and think its shameful to attract an audience this way as it’s already a good game as is. The problem i have is it’s impossible to complete some levels without coins, Ive been stuck on the same level for 2 days now and i dont want to pay real money to win. You dont get many lives and they’re often randomly taken away if an ad glitches out or something. ✓ Game becomes unplayable after 75 levelsThe beginning levels are easy, and you can zoom through the first 50 without wasting any lives. Once you get past level 75, the game becomes purely based on luck and it becomes impossible to win, even if you have a high skill level. ✓ Game is great but…Really like the game itself but as others have mentioned there’s some really annoying things that need to be fixed. Every 2 attempts, whether you win or lose, it takes you back to homescreen which loses a life (don’t lose your streak though). Lives take 30mins to regenerate - should be 15 maximum like other games. You only get 10points per win and need 400 to regenerate lives. And the ads - you can pay to get rid but if you don’t, you often get App Store popping up mid-game and sometimes have a pop up covering the ‘close’ button so you can’t get out of it unless you quit the game and lose a life. But like many of the other reviews have said, you will eventually reach an impossibly-designed level where you can either take a chance and run through your five lives, or you’ll have to pay for extra coins. It seems like there is some skill to winning a level, but there is far more luck involved. ✓ Recent Updates/glitches ruined the gameTitle says it all. I don’t know if it’s an update or a glitch, but the game has lost all of its fun for me. A few days ago my whole game glitched me forward about 10 levels, which isn’t a terrible thing, but gameplay since then has been pretty bad. It started recycling the same four layouts, which makes it incredibly boring. The daily puzzle has become completely pointless because it no longer gives you two decor points, only a few coins. It marks your progress with the potted plants, but for what? You get nothing for completing an entire months daily puzzles. It will no longer enter me into the golden piece tournament. I could collect 200 pieces, but when the tournament it over is says I’ve collected 0. It’s also changed so the first 20 pieces now only give you 5 measly coins instead of decor points. I’ve also started having issues where every ad (and there are many) that plays freezes my game or slows it down. This game used to be so much fun, I looked forward to playing it in the morning with my tea and breakfast. But now, there really isn’t anything that would keep me coming back. It seems to be two games awkwardly crammed into one, neither really having anything to do with eachother. This game was fun for about the first 2000 levels. At the beginning, it is fairly easy but builds quickly. Then at somewhere between level 2000 to 2109, the puzzles are impossible. There is no combination of times you can choose that will allow to win unless you use one or more bonus “cheat” tiles. It just gets frustrating to go through 5 tries at a level in less than 10 minutes only to have to wait 2.5 hours to try again. Also, the amount to play on goes up from 60 to 90 coins which makes it even harder to keep playing. It’s to the point where it’s not worth the time and ads to play anymore. In addition, the ads for this game are misleading in that the puzzle they show in the ad is never available. The “tournament” and other “competitions” in the game are jokes because they have a time limit, but it takes days of play to get through one level let alone the multiple needed to succeed at the tournament. I like the idea behind it and the customisation of rooms however sometimes the levels are just impossible to pass. It feels like luck more than strategy as you cannot see what tiles are going to be underneath the pile to match and you run out of space quickly before failing the level. As this is a free game this is obviously done so in an attempt to get you to purchase coins etc. to purchase the power-ups that allow you to expand the amount of tiles you can hold at any one time, undo a move or shuffle the board. Without any money for power-ups you quickly run out of lives when getting stuck on a level, and then have to wait 25 minutes for a new life which I do think is a rather long time compared to other ‘match’ style games. For example, I’ve used at least 20 lives trying to get past this level which isn’t even described as a ‘hard level’. The game is overall great but some of these puzzles just cannot be beat without the cheat tools like the ‘shuffle’ for 10 coins or the ‘hold 3 cards’ in the alternate queue. The old game you had to work through levels and the reward for playing 4 games was 10 coins. I also paid extra for a ‘zen pass’ which lasted a week and gave 8 instead of 5 lives, plus you were able to get rewards. The new game is completely different! You can no longer use the rewind, shuffle or new line. Instead there are options for other boosts, but require 120 coins to refill (set of 3). This means the rewards won on zen pass are obsolete as there is no way of using them. Also, there are now 3, yes 3 games to play before being able to continue and only get 5 coins!!!! The problem i have found in the daily puzzle game is that whenever you get an add ( which is pretty much every second attempt) even though you think you have watched the add to the end, when you get back into the game you have started the puzzle on about half of its time left. ✓ Ended up deletingI think I progressed too far in the game. I was doing the puzzles for the sake of the puzzles and got to the point where there was no more “coloring scenes” to change. I still had plenty of blue flowers (though, I stopped earning those per level too) for when future scenes came out so I kept going just focused on the matching gameplay. I kept running out of coins which the game kept offering me in exchange for actual money (which I did once). I needed the coins because the levels were more challenging at this point. I waited until I passed the level by sheer luck and watched the ad to triple my sparse 10 coins earned to 30. The button wouldn’t always work but I figured it was my phone being weird. Except now the button is gone. If I can’t get coins efficiently without regularly spending money, I’m not going to continue playing. ✓ Beware with the purchaseA couple of times, I bought the piggy bank and after only 2 days my coins disappeared and the piggy bank was full again. It’s almost impossible to fill up the piggy bank after only two games as the games are quite difficult to solve. Reported and only once they restored my purchase. Firstly, the zen rooms are beyond ugly so despite me adoring decorating games, I can’t take to this one. I actually spent real money to get the boosters that let you pass the hard levels, but all they did was take my money without giving me the boosters I paid for. So you beat the levels and get the tokens to decorate your zen room, but unless your favorite colors are all shades of brown, not much from which to choose. Occasionally there’s a dull blue or green, yippie. (Why the tiles have such pretty colors and the rooms have such ugly ones I’ll never understand . . . ) Then make your selections from those boring browns, spend the tokens, and surprise! Next time you log on, your changes are gone, you’re back where you were, however all the tokens spent are still gone and you have to earn them back again. Oh, by the way, lets say you click the support button for help, right? You get your choice of various articles available to read, none of which have anything to do with the problem. So you’re told to contact them for more help. Guess what? There’s no way to do it on site. I spent over an hour traveling down every rat hole, still nothing. ✓ Good game but very costly! No support from developersReally liked this game, it’s addictive and fun. Then I realised that 5 lives lasts about 10 mins and it’s 400 coins to get more. You’d have to pay around £6.99 to get 375…just not good enough developers! On top of that you can buy a zen pass which cost around 2 or 3 pounds…worth it, as the rewards are good. When you’ve bought four you get a free one. I bought two then when it came to the third I realised the price had increased to £8.99! I decided (stupidly) to buy it but the transaction failed. It told me to try again, so I did. This happened four times then I gave up. I realised the next day that 4 lots of 8.99 had come out of my account.
