✓ Clean app but a terrible experienceI rarely comment on apps, because most I can work with but this one is something special. The app shows very well, and the UI is clean but that’s about where it stops. The photo search didn’t return a single result and when searching cards manually only 1 was found in the app despite each card retuning in an eBay search. Adding a card manually is useless in most cases if you want to include any extra search terms because the Next button stays greyed out. To photo scan a card it has to be in a slab and if you don’t have some of the most expensive cards in the hobby, every card you search will turn up no results. Give newcomers a reliable source to price low to mid tier cards so me can kickstart our hobby. Geoff seems so into helping the new collectors and I appreciate that but reliable pricing is the first thing anyone needs. C’mon man. Expand that database. I applaud SportsCardInvestor for their innovation as it’s clear, their vision has a long runway of potential. Their market movers software will add immense value for investors, however the current product delivers an overall poor user experience. Data visualization is hard. It requires a deep understanding of your target customer needs, as well as which insights deliver the highest value. Additionally, data visualization software requires investment in talented UX designers. I mention both of these points as the current offering of market movers is quite a ways off from delivering at the current price point. ✓ Lack of intuitiveness + cost = 👎There are limitations despite the +600k card tracking library. A lot of my slabs of ultra modern baseball didn’t have weren’t tracked. As this is most of my collection, it rendered the usefulness of the app useless for my case. There is promise to this product, but would strongly recommend they focus on improved UX as the IA is lacking which creates a pretty steep learning curve up front.
