✓ App Still Needs WorkLove a lot of things about the app including the journaling showing the weather from the date you select. Hate that the map snaps back to your current location after saving changes. I tried updating pins and permissions at different properties but every time I save it I get sent back to my current location. I finally gave up and will delete the app. There is a button to send you back to your current location I don’t want it to automatically do that for me..Griz90Version: 1.6.12

✓ Can’t access subscriptionGot a new phone and when I went to log in; firstly it would not allow me to log in. When I did get logged in after deleting and reinstalling multiple times, now I can’t get access to anything behind the paywall. Rather frustrating. With that being said, I love the Lidar capabilities. I’m not the happiest about the color overlays, an option to change the opacity would be a great addition..Lewis1138Version: 1.10.6

✓ Almost a year later, still can’t sign inI tried when it first came out due to it getting a lot of buzz by sponsored sportsmen. It said I can log in with my Google account. I go through entering my info and it stays on the same log-in screen. I click on log-in again, says user already logged in. Just stuck in log-in screen. I deleted the app and reinstalled again almost a year later after after originally trying, again because of hype from sponsored sportsmen, same thing happened. ✓ Can’t even see the appFree to download. Have to link to a pay acct before even letting you see the app. Supposed to be a 14 day free trial but apple makes it look like you are subscribing right now. Be nice to at least get into the app and see what the map data looks like. Is it updated land images or old ones like some of the other similar apps. Also with the UI updates they advertise it would be nice if someone could re-download and revisit to see if it has become a better fit without having to immediately subscribe to something that may still not work for them. Only option for them would be to create another email to use to get the 14 day trial but then would it automatically bill them when it linked to their iPhone?.ShorteraarVersion: 1.6.10

✓ Navigating maps is still clunkyI tried the app a year ago and know there have been a lot of updates, but navigating to different locations on the map is still like using an early touch screen phone, jittery and jumpy. It also takes a minute for the imagery to load. While it’s clear in one section it’ll be blurry in another. The maps of Indiana continue to be subpar. This is an issue with many of the mapping apps, but something about the options in Spartan Forge makes them even harder to look at..Anseasta141417Version: 1.6.12

✓ Good app, awful sign-inI did the trial of SF before and liked it at the time, but not enough to replace OnX. My cousin uses it (along with OnX and prefers SF and swears by it), so I gave it another go. However, I cannot get by the sign-in procedure again. Tried my email, Google login, and still nothing. Looks bad from my security end too when I get the notifications that my email was used on another device. If not for that, it would be a powerful tool. I understand you have to work with what you have at the moment, but its so problematic and frankly feels sketchy. If you can fix that, you’d be in a better spot. ✓ Spend your money else whereOnly thing that’s better about this app is the pins. Which isn’t that important. Things that are important would be your blue arrow moving or facing the way your facing which spartan does not do ever. Or maybe your blue dot actually being where you are which again spartan does not do. Or the wind being right which spartan is never right either. ✓ Good idea & bright futureIt’s obviously still in the beginning stages, but it’s lacking some things that I enjoy with other apps. Mostly more details on the map, such as national forests, trails, & more detailed topography lines. The intel seems pretty vague & not super helpful. I wish it offered more explanation as to how the AI works & why it’s saying what it’s saying. I’m sure it will get better over time, but as of now it’s lacking some things..ProxiirVersion: 1.3.3

✓ It’s a beta and here are some improvementsNot sure if this is trying to follow my phones dark mode vs light mode but currently in daytime hours the text is so light on a light background that it’s hard for me, a 40 year old with perfect vision, to read. I encourage the team to revisit the design with Accessibility standards in mind and hit those standards. The touch areas are also quite small and at least in this beta release very buggy. It’s odd that some areas of the temp/barometric scale are slidable but the days themselves are not. This might be a bug. But currently makes it most almost unusable. The view into a single day is tiny and doesn’t bring forward much of the hour to hour predictions. Honestly the best app UX/UI pattern out there for this type of data is Deercast. I strongly encourage a redesign that gets closer to what you see there. Overall this app seems to have much better AI behind it but the UX is not great. I wish a lot more user testing had been done. I’d be afraid that these problems end up killing what would be a great tool..LaltafferVersion: 1.1

✓ Forced to pay and still not as good as ONXThey advertise a free 30 day trial on App Store so I downloaded it. Then after 40 Minutes or so of using the app which isn’t as good as OnX or huntstand I deleted and canceled subscription. Then end of this month I realize I was charged the full amount!! Don’t state you get a free 30 day trial then hit the customer w a $40 bill for a product that frankly isn’t as good as your competitors. You won’t have to worry about next years renewal you’ve lost this customer for life..KhyufetbhuVersion: 1.7.13
