DisappointedMy husband bought these tests instead of the over-the-counter tests we normally get. I am highly offended that I was required to get an app and make an account in order to take the test. I am an intelligent adult, fully capable of understanding simple directions for an at home test. These tests came with ZERO instructions in the box. "Get the app" was the only instruction I received. I feel like the personal information I had to enter in order to complete download of the app and "take the test" (including name, birthdate and zipcode) was too much. I then had to list symptoms, and take a picture of my test results. (Which were negative by the way, as I suspected) This is obviously a way for someone to keep tabs on who feels sick, who is testing, and who tests positive in certain areas. I am a responsible citizen. I have tested, and tested my family, more times than I care to admit just because I want to go the extra mile to keep others safe. I do not need "big brother" standing over my shoulder to make sure I do the tests right, or report results appropriately. I feel like my privacy was invaded, and if I have to buy these tests again - well, I just won't have home tests. I won't be going to urgent care to get tested when I suspect "maybe, but probably not", either so that will mean less symptomatic people tested. Great job, on/go. 🙄.Version: 2.18

Can’t add family membersVery easy to use so that gets a 5. The app walked us right thru every step even though the written directions were a bit overwhelming at first. Couldn’t add a family member under my name so I have both a positive and a negative. So that gets a 2. There are two different ways to do this - as you start the test and under your profile. However neither way would let me save their name. It was for an adult and I even tried giving them a fake child’s birthday but that didn’t work either. Really once you do it the first time you don’t need the app but the timers are handy to have. Also, I’m not sure why they make you take a picture of it and then make YOU interpret your test. If I have another app that reads my grocery receipt and knows what I bought, surely there is technology to read a test like this..Version: 2.30 (407)

Unable to RegisterRegistration asks for an email and password. Then asks for a phone number for Two-Step Authentication. I put in my valid US mobile number and receive the error “Registration failed. Please try again.” Running iOS 15.1 on an iPhone 11 Max Pro. Downloaded the app today so I know it is the most recent version. Tried multiple times with same result. Website contact page only asks for contact info without asking what the problem is. Tried chat but it was laggy. I explained the situation in the chat header and the first support person started by asking what the problem was. After that, canned responses “I’m very sorry for the inconvenience the app has caused you and I m willing to help…” as well as “So I can pass the info on to the development team, please tell me the user ID and phone number you’re using” — despite explaining I want registered yet. And no — you’re already trying to data farm me. I’m not giving you my phone number. I’ll delete the app and just use the test data if I ever need to. App wouldn’t let me register. Support was not helpful. …and now the Developer will likely post a canned response. “We’re sorry for the inconvenience…please contact us at”. No. Nopity nope..Version: 2.11

Worked smoothly but…The app itself worked smoothly. The knock I have is that if you’re doing it for an underage dependent, the app asks you for their name & birthday before proceeding. This is a privacy issue, and I was uncomfortable putting their personal info down, so instead I said the test was for me. I administered the test with ease and got clear results. This is an ok app if you’re only using the test on yourself or another adult who doesn’t mind having their info uploaded. But the test thinks theirs only one adult in the house because it didn’t ask for someone other then a “dependent”. In the past, I’ve administered Covid tests for my entire family, including my husband and mother in law. They are not officially dependents. The test itself is not flawed, but the app is..Version: 2.38 (552)

Way too much personal info requiredIf I had known that I had to give personal information to this company before taking their COVID test, I never would have bought their COVID test. But you have to give them an email, phone number, your first and last name, and birthday before you can use the app. Plus it doesn’t even let me use my actual last name, which has an apostrophe in it. It of course doesn’t tell you that—I struggled for five minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn’t let me continue before I realized it was the apostrophe issue. If you’re going to refuse to allow apostrophes in names, despite millions of people in the world having them, the bare minimum you could do is actually say that’s what you’re doing. We have a moral responsibility to one another to make COVID testing easy, and this company is failing at that responsibility. (In addition to how much they charge for tests, which is fairly obscene to begin with.).Version: 2.16

Too complicated. Way way too unhelpfulI’m bright fully vaccinated against covid and flu PhD retired university prof rendered 98% wimp by creeping feeling more ghastly by the hour. I lnew i had these tests in cupboard (purchased in mid September) but doing more was a big ask — no. So i went to bed. This morning still feeling awful on wimp guage i managed to open box. Scanned Q which said they expired in sptember 2022. The packets inside say they expired January 2022!! My adult children asvise i take test anyway but - ilwait till hey stop by in hpur or so. As i can barely manage texting THEM i really cannot handle your service’robot’ who’s sittin in for a real person st you help center. I have not gone so far ss giving yhe personal details other reviewers complain of, and won’t. So in all, no. One star cos not possible to give zero..Version: 2.40.3

Good app/UI, bad test instructionsWhile I was a little nervous about giving my health data to this company, I’ve basically given up on data privacy at this point. I liked the UI and clear instructions of the app (particularly important since the box of tests I purchased included two sets of Spanish instructions and zero English). However, the instructions themselves led to a wasted test! It clearly and explicitly stated to place three drops of fluid on the test, but that wasn’t enough for the capillary action to actually reach the test window, even on a completely flat surface. It rendered the test unreadable, so I had to use the second test in the box. When it was clear the second test was going to have the same problem, I added an additional 6 drops of fluid. That was enough to get the liquid to reach the test window, and I received a result. But that was a waste of ~$15, since I had to use both tests for a single result. Seems like they need to revisit their instructions to ensure it gets a result..Version: 2.11

Doesn’t WorkTests work, but getting the results properly recorded proved almost impossible. Instructions are clear until the final critical part of the process. Too many other points of failure to list here. Only positive reviews are solicited, so the rating score shown here today of 4.7 out of 5 is probably grossly overstated!.Version: 2.38.1 (555)

Ok appI’m not giving this a 5 because between the instructions from the box, several bar codes and answering a lot of questions, it took me quite some time to use this test effectively. It took me 2 tests to make sure I did it all ok. Maybe I’m just too old and otherwise too healthy to know how to deal with this new process, but it was not that straightforward for me. Once I got the app installed, got through the questions and started again, it wasn’t bad. But good thing there were 2 tests and I picked up a couple extra for the future. It will be easier if I ever have to do it again..Version: 2.27 (368)

Privacy InvasionThe test is easy and the instructions are clear, but instead of simply saying how to read the test strip, the company makes you download their app, do the test, and photograph the strip. The app then reads the strip for no good reason, since at that point (and only at that point) you’re the one who interprets the letters on the strip based on the answer key they then give you. The app makes you enter personal info including your phone number (up to the user whether to fib about the other required info). Once you’ve done the test you don’t need the app for future tests, because if you forget the instructions the kit comes with printed ones (which lack the key to reading the test result; C means negative, T means positive – I realized after-the-fact that I could’ve googled this)..Version: 2.16

Buggy? The process of taking the test was easy and clear. When I tried to take my picture, it said “processing,” then the text disappeared, but the camera screen remained. It allowed me to take one more picture, again said “processing,” but I got the same result: stuck on the camera screen. The timer continued counting down, so I know it wasn’t frozen. Once the timer reached 0, I was told my test was invalid. I’m not super concerned, because it was clearly negative, but if I needed some kind of interpretation to provide my employer, I would be out the money I spent on this test. Not willing to try with the second test from the box, as I expect it to be negative again..Version: 2.03

App pooped out at a time that was incredibly inconvenient, and the help I got was a middle finger.I used this app and it’s tests 4 times. The first 3 times; 5 stars. Awesome. I had negative results, and they were documented in a super easy way to prove. Now, for my 4th test (the last one in my possession!) I’m positive, and it didn’t document it. The app is only showing as though I have taken 3 tests. I contacted Joneth about the problem, Via the app, and they let me know on the first response that it would be impossible to get my test to show up, and suggested that I simply take another one. As if I have another one? I was livid when that was the suggestion, because these 4 took me weeks to find and this was my last one. Now my boss is telling me to go out and get another rapid test (without any insurance) just for the sake of documenting that I actually have it. For the record, not only did I start all of the timers on the app in the same correct way as the first 3 successful tests, but I still have the positive test in my possession! This app just farted out at a time that was incredibly inconvenient for me, and the service I got when I asked for help was a middle finger..Version: 2.14

Miserable experience- never got my test results!Wow, I work in tech, so it isn’t like I don’t understand how to use an app. But this experience was awful. I couldn’t log in on my phone, even after reloading the app twice! It kept rejecting my valid email addresses. When I tried to get help, I got a bot that just kept telling me to reload the app. So I had to use my iPad. But even then, at the critical moment, it would take a successful picture of my results and not allow me to go to the results screen! Then it said I exceeded the time and my results weren’t valid. I had to Google the results to find out if I was positive (because the way they identify results on the indicator is also counterintuitive). I was worried about COVID, but taking this test was more traumatic!.Version: 2.25 (342)

Cute but needs improvementOf the apps I’ve used for Covid tests, this one is a bit more polished and has nicer graphics, but it could use some upgrades. It asks for a lot more info than most (height, weight?). My biggest pet peeve is that you can’t leave the app to use your phone for something else during the ten minutes the test is being completed. I came back and had to UN through the tests screens again to restart the timer. Also possibly unrelated, but in the “write a review” feature I could not see the word s I was writing so I hope this is legible..Version: 2.20

Test itself fine but the app didn’t workGot the tests to use on a family member, downloaded the app and then proceeded to create an account and this is where I had issues. Was able to put in my email, whatever password and then it asks for my phone number, which I did and then it said my number was invalid and couldn’t go on from that point forward. Tried to back track and go forward but nothing, closed the app to try again and then it said the email was already in use, so I go to login and it gave me an error so at the point I just gave up. Just did the test any, which all that itself was fine, everything I believe was in the box (might have misplaced the second vial of liquid but that’s no big deal) and had no issues with the printed instructions..Version: 2.29 (400)

Can’t create account on iphoneIphone 8 running OS 14.8.1 won’t allow the account to finish creation. Allows input of email, click next… white screen with a greyed-out password-button at the very top almost off-screen, and the blue progress-bar also almost off-screen overlapping the button, no box to enter password, no way to scroll up to view/enter a password, so there’s absolutely no way to create the account. Have tried cold-restart of the phone, have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Looks like No way to create the account on your website and then log in to the app. worthless if I can’t log in, yeah? at least my test was clearly visually readable as negative….Version: 2.16

Will not accept postal codeI’m unable to finish the onboarding process. I’ve attempted several different formats for postal code yet the app will not allow me to move forward as the continue button remains disabled.Version: 2.26 (350)

It’s pretty I guess?I just wanted to do a test. But first I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to sign up. And there’s no FaceID or TouchID for when you have to log back in. It asks for a LOT of information with no immediately clear reason why. Not sure if it’s the fault of the app or iOS 15, but this is all too happy to close in the background, requiring you to start over. And when you test? It demands to hold your hand. The entire way. You gotta tap through each step, wait for a timer each time, take a picture of the test cartridge ONLY at the end… it’s frustrating! I read the paper (gasp!) instructions sent with my test, figuring I could handle the app set-up during the 10-15 minute wait for the results. Nope, the app wanted me to start over. I figured I could work around that by taking a picture of the test and presenting it to the app when it was finally ready. Nope, the app accesses the camera but not existing pictures. I’ll only buy so many kits - only swab my five year old’s nose so many times - trying to keep this app happy before giving up. This time around it was three..Version: 2.38.1 (555)
