IHealth COVID-19 Test for Positive User Reviews

Easy and SimpleI downloaded this app for the reporting feature only, having taken the test over a week ago. I was able to easily add a profile for each person tested in my family. It allowed me to skip through each video AND the timer at the end simply by saying continue on the warning. When given the option to report the results to the CDC, I was able to retroactively select the dates we each tested positive, and the dates we each started showing symptoms..Version: 1.3.0

This app is the perfect remedy to bad written instructionsWhen I opened up the written instructions, I was disappointed to see how unnecessarily complicated they were. So I downloaded this app, and I am glad I did. The testing process is actually fast and simple. The short step by step videos in this app were perfect. There is even a 15 minute timer built to ensure you get accurate results. Whoever made this app is brilliant. Thank you!.Version: 1.2.6

Solid app but it should work with GmailThis app is helpful in explaining how the test works. It walks users through in a well-paced, easy-to-understand way. It’s basically what you’d want in an app of this sort. The only issue is that, once you go to send the results to your healthcare provider, it requires you to have the default iOS email app set up, even if you have Gmail configured as your default app. It is a weird limitation and an unfortunate oversight for an otherwise well-done app..Version: 1.2.6

Informative & efficient with digital resultsThis was very user-friendly and informative accommodating lots of learning styles, and I appreciated the visuals as well as the video and the explanatory info. There’s a timer in the app with an alarm and easy to follow instructions to obtain results. The middle to your health provider or whatever party needs the results and if needed, you can report your results to the CDC as well. It allows you to include other profiles so that Family can use one app to get all the results..Version: 1.3.1

Very Imformative! All went well until the end where you submitted the results to the CDC. In the second to the last page I picked no symptoms because we were taking the test because we had company who left Tuesday now positive for Covid. On the last page in order to Submit I had to pick not sure when the symptoms started. There were no symptoms and after picking that I didn’t get a correct choice!.Version: 1.2.6

Easy to UseI found the app easy to use. I watched the videos first. It’s a simple process but it made me feel more comfortable, especially the swabbing part. The instructions include the steps for the test, few though they are. They are just detailed enough. For example, if the reagent liquid isn’t sufficient, don’t use the test. I would not know something like that. It has a timer and the ability to add a calendar reminder for taking the second test. I actually read the terms of service, which are simple enough for a lay person to comprehend. There is no question that information is shared whether you chose to self-report to the CDC and/or a health provider or not. That is to be expected, given what the app is for..Version: 1.2.6

Testing and instructions very easy to follow. We had no problems adding app to phone and follow instructions. Read instructions first and lined up items for test. Then opened app and followed instructions. The app was very easy to put on hold, rewind and fast forward to review or do as instructed. The diagrams were very helpful. And automatic timer handy. Instructions for reading results excellent. Thank you!.Version: 1.3.1

Testing Made EasyThis is my first time using the iHealth COVID Test. This is one of the free tests I requested from the CDC that they were mailing to people’s homes. The whole process was very simple from start to finish. The instructions were clear. There are demonstrative videos for each step of the test. It is easy to follow along. There is a built in 15 minute countdown timer in the APP to ensure you wait long enough to get your results. The result options were clear and easy to understand and interpret. Had no technical issues with the APP itself..Version: 1.3.1

Good to knowPositive status was bad news because I have been vaccinated twice and boosted twice because I am diabetic and at risk for lots of things. The test was easy and fast. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and they said the results may not be back until Saturday. I wanted confirmation that I didn’t do anything wrong with the test but I know by the way I feel. Long story short I will be in my room for 5 days quarantining..Version: 1.3.1

Easy with the phone number! The very first test I submitted for my son I entered in my email and created a password but the only thing is i never saved that information! So almost a year later my son needed another test this time I used my phone number. His information popped up more convenient so as long as you put information for the first time you do a test just enter in the phone number for next time. Less headache..Version: 1.3.1

Worked Well for MeThe app was pretty easy to follow. I like that the timer was built in. That was very helpful. One recommendation I have is to require a photo of the test results. Who is to say that the person conducting the test is honest about the results? At least a photo can provide a greater guarantee that the report is honest. Just a thought. Good overall. Will update if I run into trouble in the future..Version: 1.2.6

Easy to FollowThis was my first time having to do a home test with the kit provided. I downloaded the app and it was super easy to follow the videos. Easier than reading printed instructions. Like the fact that it does report to the CDC. Just came from a funeral and a class reunion all in the same weekend. Not feeling great so I tested. Glad this is a convenient at home app and test kit. A lot of people have had and do have COVID recently..Version: 1.3.1

Works perfectly fineI don’t know what’s up with all these angry and bizarre reviews. I suppose the printed instructions might not be that great, but I never bothered to use them. When I saw there was an app I downloaded it, set it up, did a “dry run”, and then performed the test and submitted the results without issue. It’s not the world’s slickest app and the videos always play portrait, but they’re not “unskippable”. Just use the slider at the bottom of the video to skip to the end. I think many of these negative reviewers might be older or struggle with technology in general..Version: 1.2.5

Unable to email resultsThe app is easy to use and instructions are clear and pretty well done except for a couple minor problems. I could not email the test results because there is no SEND button anywhere (maybe it’s hidden under the keyboard?). Another minor issue is you have to keep rotating the phone between videos which are in landscape orientation and the Next button which is in portrait orientation. The Next buttons in between the videos should be in landscape..Version: 1.2.1

Easy to use, can’t save app to phone? This test is fairly simple, although having to juggle the tiny little test tube while taking care to not allow the swab to touch anything is a bit frustrating (use a small cup to keep it upright). The app is easy to use as well; however, it doesn’t actually save an icon to my Home Screen - really weird (iPhone 11). I have searched through every folder I have, and no iHealth icon. Every time I want to open it, I have to go back to the App Store and pull it down again?.Version: 1.4.0

Look Ma ,no reading of instructionsI love how easy this was that it broke every step down and then would make me do what I had to do first before it moved onto the next step. It was very simple. The end was a little questionable only in that it’s want me to report to the CDC or my health provider with no easy exit since I tested negative I didn’t feel I need to post that result. But you simply hit the home button at the top. And that seem to work..Version: 1.3.1

Works ok but..I am a school nurse with an IT degree and the app fine until you need to create groups. I wanted to create groups within the app ( boys basketball, girls volleyball) so that the coach can see everyone in that group with a green result. But the app puts you automatically into every group instead of picking the groups you would belong in when you sign up. Also how many students/staff can be on the platform? The site says a small group if so then the app is not reliant for us (800 people).Version: 1.2.6

Excellent product and serviceI really like the video vs the instructions. When we had covid, my special needs adult kids were able to test themselves using the video and I didn’t have to assist them because I was positive and I was afraid to contaminate their results! I recommend this for everyone! It’s easy, informative and when you don’t feel good just follow along… I recommend this..Version: 1.3.1

It’s very helpfulEven if you are not using the iHealth test kits the information included is helpful to people who are adults and are trying with all our might to not make others, possibly, deathly or crippling ill. You know, like admitting that a vaccination isn’t exactly magic or a cure for all variants. So, in conclusion to quote the BEST 5 part harmony musical group from the late 20th century En Vogue “Never gonna get it, never gonna get it. Never gonna get it, never get it”, I really hope..Version: 1.3.1

IHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid TestThe test equipment was not easy for someone either large hands. It was easy to miss the difference between Style #1 and Style #2 but if following the #1 directions with the #2 kit, getting to the point of adding three drops to the “card” it was clear that no sample would be tested. That sharp scissors were needed to 1. Open the package, 2. Release the swab, and 3. Open the reagent module, was nasty. This kit is designed for women with small hands. Those folks are needed but not necessarily always available..Version: 1.3.1

Good test kit and appWorked great and I feel confident in the results used on myself and granddaughter after she was exposed .: she was able to administer her own test with some guidance high made this much better than the 5 other times she had to be tested ! Hers was positive we followed CDC info I tested 2 times it’s negative results and no symptoms which I feel is accurate testing results for us both Use with confidence and with app its fool proof.Version: 1.3.1

Test is easy to understand and complete. The only problem with the test was that there was not enough fluid left to reach the bottom line. I had to swipe the fluid from another test kit to complete the process. If you follow the app, the test is easy to take. The instructions are clear and user friendly. The video in the app was thoughtfully created and it stopped after each step or series of steps so the user has plenty of time to complete the steps. You can also go back if you realize one of your answers was incorrect. Try to get tests that have been recently made and don’t horde them. The fluid evaporates despite being in a sealed container, wrapped in cellophane, and placed in a sealed box..Version: 1.3.1

Clear instructions, works fineThe instructions videos were helpful; I appreciate that the video included instructions for both versions of the reagent solution, as I have received both versions of the test kit over time. I like that I am able to submit results to the CDC (I noticed this feature disappeared for a period of time, but I’m glad it’s back!). I’m not sure what happened to other reviewers who mentioned junk email, being forced to pay, etc. - none of this has happened during my use of the app..Version: 1.2.6

Simple and easy to useThis app was very simple and easy to use. Since I’ve taken so many tests(not at home) I pretty much knew what I needed to do. I re-watched the videos over and over to make sure I was doing everything as accurately as possible before I went to the next step. My test is negative, but I’m still gonna retest in 2 days at a healthcare facility to be 100% sure. Other than that I highly recommend..Version: 1.3.0

The app makes it easy for first timers!I like how app pauses at end of each step for the person testing to perform actions. Then tester has to select “continue” to go to next step. My first attempt wasted a kit because I twisted the top off the solution vial instead of cutting the vial to open. I found that trimming the vial edges a tiny bit (more “V” like) with scissors positions the vial opening slightly below the edge of the test tube permitting all of the solution to go into the tube. I’d also recommend using a blue glove to hold the vial, in case solution escapes from vial or tube..Version: 1.3.1

Very clear directionsOne note, there can be TWO different ways the solution is packaged. There may be one empty vial with the orange cap left off and to the side with one small clear enclosed vial with clear solution inside. However, you may get a vial with the orange cap screwed on and enclosed in clear package and if you look carefully you will see the clear solution is already INSIDE the vial. So I ended up doubling the solution! Could affect the results so am going to test again to be safe!.Version: 1.3.1

Good, but has a minor hitch in its giddy-upExcellent app, really, for the test part. Clear, easy, simple instructions with good graphics. When submitting results to the CDC, though, a page asks you to pick from a list of symptoms you’re experiencing. It doesn’t give a separate “click here if no symptoms, it lists “No symptoms” as a symptom in the list. So when you pick it and click “next”, it sends you to a “when did your symptoms start” date-picker. If you have no symptoms this looks like a dead end. Now I’ve forgotten what the choice was that let me finish — that’ll be your challenge, if you have no symptoms. A puzzle for ya!.Version: 1.4.0

IHealth COVID-19 Test kitGreat product and APP. Easy to use and understand. Walks you through the process. Sets a timer and provides documented results that you can share with your medical provider and/or the CDC if you choose to. Other options to share as well. I find this great for sharing with my employer. You can also do testing groups! Great options for testing and sharing among your group. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!.Version: 1.2.6

Straight forward and easyI’ve done a lot of testing for work and life and I have to say that having an app to walk you through the process is wonderful. The fact that the app gives you the option to report your results to the CDC and your healthcare provider via email is stupendous since most reporting simply isn’t happening due to the widespread use of rapid tests. Thanks iHealth!.Version: 1.3.0

Simplified and user friendlySimplified step by step instructions with video that eliminate second guessing one self. User friendly and straight to the point which helps with anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. The included timer is great, it saves you from scrambling to get a timer going, specially when you’re trying to keep everything sanitized. The test itself IMO seems too susceptible to human error, not everyone has the patience or fine tuning skills needed..Version: 1.3.1

Home test was simpleSo I had some cold symptoms and thought to take a COVID test, I had some handy, it’s cold and flu season, so I took the test using the directions written, then realized there’s an app and watched the tutorial. I’m normally not good with directions but this was simple and easy and thank god I’m negative but in case I wasn’t I at least can rely on this test to give me an idea if i have something serious or not. Thank you..Version: 1.3.1

IHealth covid-19 antigen rapid test appWe got more than a dozen of these tests free from federal govt. via US Postal Service offer. The tests are well-packaged and easy to use. Both the written instruction pamphlet inside the box and the phone app as backup were thorough and clear. Well done! I was exposed 6 days ago to someone who later tested positive so I wanted to make sure my year-round allergy symptoms (which are worse today) were ONLY from allergies, not covid-19..Version: 1.3.1

Easy To FollowI recently tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday 8/14. As of today, I tested negative with minimal symptoms so thank goodness! Using the self-test covid kit was super simple and the video instructions were quick and straight to the point. I had no problem following each step. I would say it takes 5 minutes to go through each steps. Final step is waiting 15 minutes for your results - It gives you detailed information about what to look for and how to choose the best results based off your covid test card. Overall, I would recommend using the self-test covid kit if you feel you may be having symptoms of covid. It’s quick, pain less, and you’re in the comfort of your home which is a plus. Definitely give this a try!.Version: 1.3.1

Very clear videos and instructionsEven though the video mentioned that the package contents could be different (test has changed??), the videos were very clear and simple. I liked how there were multiple short videos, one for each step, and it was easy to replay the video, and even go back to the previous step/video. The video on reading of the results were very informative, and I felt very comfortable making a self diagnosis..Version: 1.3.1

Works just fine for meI am with others who don’t understand the highly agitated and negative reviews. In regards to the videos versus the printed instructions, I used the in-app videos to help me understand it better as I learn easier by demonstration. I watched them thru carefully and had no trouble following along. As far as the app requesting contact details, maybe instead of griping about it you could ask yourself why they ask. Do you gripe when a dr wants your contact info? Maybe it’s to keep track of how often the same person tests positive, if any, (aka contact tracing). Maybe because it’s a day ending in the letter ‘y.’ 🤷‍♀️ You’ve gone thru all this to take the test, what do you think is going to happen, that the CDC will show up at your door in HazMat suits to cart you away to the Place of No Return? My only complaint is the video voice itself 😂..Version: 1.3.0

EasyTest is easy and convenient to use, especially in uncertain times. The APP’s clear step by step instructional video cannot be avoided unfortunately, it would be nice if an individual had previously performed the test, if the video was made optional. However, it is not such an inconvenience as to prevent me from using the test or the app. For first time users, to aide in any possible frustration due to angst over the situation; Just have everything ready and wait to open it until you hit the take sample video. It helps..Version: 1.3.1

Problems with reporting to CDCApp works well for performing the test, but the results reporting has some problems. It asks what symptoms you have. No symptoms is an option, but after answering “No symptoms” it insists on asking when the symptoms started. “Unknown” is an allowed answer, but I don’t have symptoms. It isn’t like I don’t know when my nonexistent symptoms started. Until today this wasn’t a problem, but at the end when I press the report results button I get an error message that there are problems connecting to the site or something like that. Ok, fine but there seems to be no way to get beyond that screen. I need to take a test once a month because of a meeting I attend and don’t know if that app will work next time or if I’ll still be stuck. No a real problem since I can perform the test without the app, but this is a review of the app not the test.Version: 1.3.1
