✓ Will have you jumping in your seat … wherever you areThis game is entirely the same as the PS4 game it is derived from. It’s full of awesome graphics and affects and both sound and on screen. You really do need a controller to play this effectively. I personally use the backbone PlayStation edition. I can recommend that or the Razer Kishi as they are top notch ! There are cheaper controllers but I have not tried them and I am a firm believer in you pay for what you get. I can’t really say much more without giving too much away , but I will say I found this scarier than all of the Alien movies combined because you really feel that you are the one being hunted not a Hollywood star. Be prepared to jump and have tonnes of fun, if you like a scare then this is the game for you!.Version: 1.3
✓ Spectacular!Feral Interactive are gods amount men. Everything they touch is of the highest quality. The Total War games series, Company of Heroes, Xcom 2, Tropico, Grid and now Alien Isolation. Just beautifully done. The graphics are awesome and it runs very smoothly. The sound is fantastic and very atmospheric with music from the Alien movie plus great sound effects. It might be a port but it is of the highest quality. I’m playing on an iPad Pro (2017) with 512gb and everything installed. Even though I have an iPad controller to use I decided to try the touch controls. It just works great and I don’t know if I’ll even need my controller. I’ve bought this game on the PS4, PC, The Switch and now iOS. This just might be my favorite. Bravo Feral Interactive. Alien Isolation is fantastic and an absolute bargain too. 10/10.Version: 1.2.2
✓ Touch Controls done rightThe computers in the game become touchscreens. WHAT! that makes an immersive environment much more so by adding a tactile feel to actions. ✓ Technical marvel“Wow” is an appropriate description of an amazing port of an already amazing game. It’s insane to think nowadays that you can get this type of gaming experience natively on a tablet that’s razor thin and weighs literally a pound. Yes, the PS4 and Xbox One are nearly 9 years old pieces of hardware, but compared to how the game looks and runs on the M1 iPad Pro, it makes the duo look like ancient technology. Aside from the technical aspects, Alien: Isolation is one of the greatest horror experiences in gaming. That fact that you can take it anywhere on a wide range of mobile devices now makes it that much better. Slap a couple of wireless earbuds in, grab a game pad of your choice, and it’s oh so easy to immerse yourself in the sheer terror of being hunted by the Xenomorph. ✓ Wow! Just Wow!They say you get what you pay for. This game is worth it. A must play with headphones. The graphics are off the hook perfect. The attention is in the details. Scuff marks, grease stains, graffiti etc…really makes this game stand out. Someone loved making this as much as I will love playing it. ✓ Near perfect port with fatal flaw on iPadThis game seriously looks amazing. The graphics are better than the PS4 version which I have played many times. That’s incredible! An iPad is outperforming a console! The only flaw is that when using the Magic Keyboard on iPad Pro, it controls just like a regular PC game and has the ESC key set to take you out of the menu, but the magic keyboard doesn’t HAVE an ESC key. It doesn’t have a right and left mouse click either but I worked around that by remapping keys..Version: 1.2.2

✓ Great game and port with some niggling issuesFirstly, thank you Feral for your many years of work porting games to Apple, your releases are always top quality. A couple of small things: I’d like to be able to skip the intro movies that show all the publisher and developer logos, it’s annoying that I have to wait for them to play. This might be my misunderstanding of the auto-save feature: I’d been playing the game for a couple of hours and got up to where you call the transport. I wasn’t quick enough in embarking so got killed. I was expecting to have to replay maybe 10 or 15 minutes of game, however I was taken back to when I first arrived on the station. I stopped playing as that was over an hour or so worth of playtime. Should I have been able to reply on the game auto save, or is it necessary to save manually throughout? Given this is on iOS and it’s a platform that’s given to easily switching between apps, auto save and resume I’d argue are expected..Version: 1.2.2
✓ WOWThis has been a beloved game for me on Xbox for many years. Have replayed multiple times and it never gets old. When I recently just happened to discover this on the App Store on my iPad I was both surprised and a bit skeptical. I didn’t think it would adapt well for mobile, figuring the gameplay, controls or graphics just wouldn’t hold well. How wrong I was though… The controls are easy to master, the gameplay is still great, the graphics are amazing and just everything about this mobile version is definitely up to par. Highly recommend for any horror game fans and definitely for anyone who loved the game on console, as this is a brand new experience in and of itself. ✓ Simply astonishing!You have to respect the amount of effort Feral interactive put into these conversions. Not only does this game look and play like the original pc version, but it doesn’t even tax my handset particularly hard. I have games in my library with obviously lesser graphics but they make my iPhone run noticeably hotter and drain more battery than this title. How Feral manage to do this is, I don’t know but it’s very impressive indeed. I own a few games from Feral in my library, even though I already own them on pc it’s just great to have these titles available for my iPhone too. ✓ AMAZING, DEFINITELY PLAY!After a while of deleting and reinstalling the game I was able to download all the content within 20 minutes (a surprisingly short amount of time for a game of this size). I just want to say how amazing the games graphics and gameplay is. It looks just like the one on pc and plays smoothly without lag and few glitches. The soundtrack is nostalgic and eerie. Alien Isolation constantly has me on edge as intelligent and advanced AI hunt me. The games models are so realistic and the environments are detailed with layouts perfect for stealth and running away while keeping encounters claustrophobic. The game is well worth the cost and has plenty of terrifying content. This game is easily one of the best games I’ve played (haven’t finished the game yet) and is definitely one of the best looking. ✓ 😳First off. Well done Feral, for making another one-off purchase game. I am so sick of IAP’s. About an hour in, finding my way around etc. This game is simply astonishing. I know the iPad Pro is pretty competent at graphics capability, but this is another level. Interesting that the ‘most critical’ reviews doesn’t contain any bad reviews, even after a month from release. I always look at these first before paying for a game. Of course, I am one of this users who is totally a sci-if nut; especially the Alien genre; and as such I will expect a high level of accuracy. This has certainly delivered and I have hardly even progressed passed the ‘wake-up from hyper sleep’ bit in the main campaign story yet! I don’t give 5 stars lightly, but I have very high expectations (and heart-rate) even now. Now….where was I? Ah, yes……..aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggghhhhh!!!! Well, after about a week, this game has made me jump more times than I care to mention. The attention to detail is impressive. I love the totally random spawning of the Alien in area’s where it has ‘eaten my face’ multiple times. Also the random power-ups leave you unsure what you will obtain on the next try. It all serves to provide a scary and uncertain outcome to every section of the game. The relief you feel when you have found one of the ‘save points’ is almost overwhelming; but even then, you have to constantly check your motion sensor because so often, ‘IT’ will grab you mid-save!! ……………😳🥺😩.Version: 1.2.2
✓ This game plays AMAZINGLYI never thought I’d see the day where my iPad and iPhone could play a game like this and look this good. It feels like I’m playing it on my PC. I haven’t had a single hiccup and the graphics are absolutely amazing. I haven’t gotten through the whole game so I don’t know if there are any bugs yet, but so far it’s been smooth sailing. If there’s anything I’d like improved, it’s more control over the graphics. In my case, I would like the option to lower the fps to 30 in exchange for more advanced / higher quality graphical effects. The game runs quite smoothly for the most part with some slight hiccups here and there. Like sometimes the audio might cut out but that’s easily fixable by closing and restarting the application. ✓ AMAZINGIts a great port with only a minor bugs that do not affect the theme of the game their are no ads and the quality (for me at least) where when my phone goes down to one percent the graphics are pretty bad but it does not affect the AI or anything else my only problem is that on some levels kind of like the crew expandable or last survivor you can develop a routine that works every time (I have done this with both DLC) but other than some minor bugs like not being able to get out of crouching positions in doorways or the mother core in the crew expandable it really captures the feel of the alien franchise with a dark and scary atmosphere where at some points you feel helpless its a really good game all in all.Version: 1.2.4
✓ Simply AmazingWhen this game came out on console and pc back in 2014 I was blown away by the performance and delivery. This game is truly a masterpiece in every way. Releasing the game on iOS is practically a dream come true and of course it runs and performs incredible on the iPad Pro. ✓ Best Alien Game, Amazing PortThis is one of my favorite console games from PS3, PS4, Switch, Mac&PC, and now I can have it in my pocket to pick up and play anywhere! The port runs smooth on my iPhone X, which is quite old by now. The only thing I wish we could have had in this port is the ability to create a quick save state anywhere at any time so I can jump out and pick it back up where I left off. ✓ Nothing short of incredible!I’m not one for writing reviews but when I saw this on the App Store I was sceptical. Having played Alien Isolation on Pc several years back it’s one of those rare horror/survival games that is actually genuinely terrifying and fun to play. Slimming down a game like this to run on mobile I thought a lot of the magic of this game would have been lost but I have been really surprised. If anything this game looks better than the console and PC versions. I’m playing on a 2020 IPad Pro and the visuals are incredible. Performance wise the frame rate is buttery smooth and I haven’t really noticed any performance issues. I definitely recommend playing this game in a dark room with headphones on and a gamepad for a fully immersive experience. You’ll definitely spend most of your time in game hiding in lockers and under desks desperately clinging onto your trusty motion detector trying to figure out when to make a mad dash to the next hiding spot. There are some much needed calmer parts to the game where you can explore a richly detailed Sevastopol station. I don’t know how they have managed to get this game to run on mobile, look so great and run flawlessly, it’s nothing short of a miracle. ✓ Awesome game. We need more!I'm really enjoying this game. This alien is as difficult as I would imagine it would be. Every corner is terrifying to go around, in large thanks to the music that plays and the general atmosphere of the game. I'd love to see something like this as a multiplayer options mixed in with Apex Legends. I crack up thinking about that I could unleash an alien on an unsuspecting opponent, while needing to collect key cards, solve puzzles, etc. (which may lead to the alien devouring me and my squad in the process)..Version: 1.2.2

✓ Incredible port to IOSHaving played Alien Isolation and loved it on PS4 & on the PC I thought I’d give this a go. It looks exactly like the other versions I have played which is quite amazing on an iPad. I’ve increased sensitivity on the controls and have to say it’s not only accurately controllable but actually genuinely palatable. ✓ Feral Knows Their Stuff!I wasn’t really interested when I first saw the price point and almost clicked away when I noticed right before this was Feral at the Helm! After seeing what they did with Grid for mobile, I have become a huge fan of their work! So after seeing their name on this I went to Steam to check out reviews for the game and saw that the reviews were “Overwhelming Positive” so I decided to click that buy button! Well after about an hour or so I’ve jumped in here to say… WOW! What an incredible experience this is… especially on mobile with a good pair of headphones! I’m blown away this is on my iP 20se! This is one of the most amazing and terrifying gaming experiences I have ever had! The graphics are tasty to the eyes, the sounds fill your ears with all the ambience of a well produced movie, and the gameplay/story really immerses you into its world where you forget yours! ✓ Another Class Feral portOk, so we all know Feral have the ability to take Flagship titles and port them to iOS/iPadOS. And this is no exception. I’m happy to say it has the outstanding graphics and sound from the original PC game. It al runs fluidly and it has retained the atmosphere, somehow it seems to have more jump scares paying it on my iPad Pro (2021), with my headphones on. You can adjust the graphics if you dont have the M1, or if you want better battery life. (Lighting up all those cores uses power and your battery will reduce). Price wise its good value. These are great times to own an iPad, with top notch games like this and Divinity, along with Company of Heroes, XCOM 2 etc all being here. The iPad is no longer the refuge of just the casual gamer, its starting to get hardcore. Now if Apple would only setup their own games studio so we got some exclusive titles, then all would be great. After playing the mobile version this is probably the best port that I've seen or played on any platform! How quickly you forget that this game was a AAA title that now can stay in your pocket! ✓ Excellent PortI am not going to give a review of the gameplay of this excellent game because it has been done many times over since it is a port. With that said, this is the best ported game I have played in a long time. I have experienced absolutely no lag, no frame rate dips or graphical hiccups. I am very happy that they included controller, and mouse/keyboard support for this game, but there is not too much of a drop off when just using the touchpad. I completed the game on that platform, and I’m playing through again on iPad and it’s absolutely every bit as good. I highly recommend a game controller if you have one. ✓ This is high end pc qualityThis is the most stunning game I’ve played on mobile. No contest. What feral has done here is amazing. The game itself is crazy fun and scary and just downright one of my favorites. I’m on iPhone 15 pro, and there are two modes: performance and graphics. Graphics: runs at 30fps pretty stable! Definitely playable. Performance: runs at a rock solid 60 but I swear it’s 120 sometimes. It’s smooth as butter. Idk how they did it. There is basically no loss of graphic fidelity, just less depth and grit/texture. I hot swap between the two options. This proves that mobile gaming has the potential to directly compete with console and even pc.
