Loved it - great with a controllerSuper fun game, unique style. Great difficulty..Version: 1.0.1

One of the Greatest Games I’ve PlayedIt was truly a moving experience to play Dandara. You can tell so much went into the art style, the music, the narrative. I loved it! It exceeded all expectations I had going in. The game was hard but not too hard; the story flowed well, while never feeling restrictive or too linear. I find myself looking for new games that can match the feeling of playing Dandara for the first time, which should say something about the impact this game can have ❤️.Version: 1.0.1

One of the best mobile games I’ve playedI haven’t even finished the game and yet I love it. Any person who loves metroidvania games like Hollow knight, Haiku The Robot, or Ori would love this game. There’s not as many fighting modes that you would see in games like Hollow Knight, but that makes sense because it’s on mobile. Even with that it makes up for it in accessibility. You can play or pause any time in the day and you’ll always have this game to play wherever you are because it’s on your phone. Sure, you can play Hollow Knight on switch but I honestly find PC better. So, having a game like this is great because it’s not too complicated, and it gives you a lot of story and enemies you can fight. I’ve always been a fan of metroidvania games, but I don’t have enough time to really experience them on PC because I’m too busy. It’s great to have a game that I can play everywhere..Version: 1.0.1

Thumbs up.Well done, one of the more unique games that I’ve seen in a while. 👍.Version: 1.0.1

Incredible and uniqueI’ve never played a game like this and most platformers don’t work on a phone. This game is beautiful and fun to get into. The controls are intuitive and once you mast them you can fly around the world so fast..Version: 1.0.1

Finally something challengingThis game is not for the faint of heart when it comes to a challenge! I loved it! The graphics are amazing, the story is wild, and the combat is mind-boggling-amazing. I think my favorite aspect of the game which adds to the difficulty is there is NO friendly guide going “hey look over here”. You have to explore it all and I recommend you do! Or you will miss things that are important, powerful, or delightful. I thought I was very diligent in my hunt for chests and abilities and I still missed 20% of the game the first time. Holy cow, this made the Metroid and castlevania games I’ve played seem easy..Version: 1.0.1

One of the best mobile gamesWow. This game is really good. Dandra is incredibly fun and a one of a kind expierence. It’s just challenging enough that it feels like you’re not just fighting super easy enemies and doing easy stuff. The bosses are well designed and if you have arcade play it. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! When the game started I wasn’t sure about it in the crib of creation but then I got to the village of artists. That area was super fun and a nice intro to enemies and a bunch of future mechanics while having its own mechanics. The boss was fun pretty easy but fun. Primal woods is a nice area but only really serves the purpose of getting from one area to the next. Remembrance desert is fun and it has this weird feeling where you are backtracking to past rooms but taking different paths. Beila was unexpected but a very fun concept. Dream lands were confusing and pretty annoying the only area I didn’t enjoy. Now the last part of the game is Fantastic. The golden wall the capital and fortress are so well designed. The wall feels impenetrable until you go to the sides and realizes it’s not just lasers and infinite bullets (well it is but their not as bad) and then you get inside. The way you slowly deactivate the wall and go around is Fantastic. And then the fortress is pain. Pain that’s fun. It is very hard but it makes you realize you’re taking down enemies that used to be so hard. The final boss was surprisingly easy but I enjoyed it! :) Side note: the camps and upgrade system I enjoy. The go back to where you died mechanic is similar to hollow knight but feels different enough. This game is fantastic, play it!!!!.Version: 1.0.1

Incredible! This game is massive! Everytime I think I’m close to clearing up a ‘corner’ of the map, it expands tenfold into a new zone. Before writing this, I just beat the heart and gained access to the nightmare zones, practically doubling the map size. There is so much to explore and look at..Version: 1.0.1

One of a kind Souls-like ExperienceI played through the entirety of Dandara on the Nintendo Switch a few years ago, and fell in love with the game’s vivid art direction, music and unique gameplay there, and have enjoyed this version even more. Dandara’s unusual traver sal mechanic seems like it should be a gimmick, but jumping from platform to platform is so fluid that moving around is fun in and of itself. The developers have used it to full effect when creating the intricate topsy-turvy and gravity-less world that you explore. Virtual joysticks can often be frustrating to use, but the movement here is suited perfectly to touch controls, and zipping across platforms is even smoother here than it was using a physical controller. Definitely worth checking out for a change of pace!.Version: 1.0.1

Absolutely what I neededI had pre-ordered this (or whatever the equivalent is on Apple Arcade) knowing not too much about it and it popped onto my screen this morning. It is fantastic. Wonderfully satisfying control dynamic, great characters and art, great Metroid type exploration and levelling up. My daughter and I have been taking turns playing it all morning and we love it. Massive congratulations to the team. Edit - having just finished the game (as well as the additional Realms of Fear content) I have to say that it is also VAST and wonderfully challenging..Version: 1.0.1

Awesome Controls - New FavoriteI’ve only beaten the first boss but I’ve been super impressed with this game! I went in with pretty much zero expectations about the game hand have been having a blast since. First off, the controls are fantastic with a touch screen. Typically, on-screen controls are tolerable at best and unplayable at worst, but the movement and firing mechanics in this game feel incredibly natural with touch controls, to the point which I feel having a controller would actually be more a hinder than a help. The attacking mechanics work similarly to the movement mechanics and after a few minutes of adjusting, it’s satisfying to just fly around the map and disintegrate enemies in your path. I love this game so far and would recommend at least trying it out..Version: 1.0.1

Another hidden gemThis is an excellent adaptation of Dandara (available on just about every platform), with the controls translating quite well to mobile. The game is quite difficult, and convoluted, good for many hours of frustration/entertainment. I think it would benefit from some help screens on the controls. It took me a long time to figure out how to swap modes for the auxiliary weapon/ability, and to know that the energy/health power ups refill at campsites..Version: 1.0.1

Fantastic gameThis game was a blast to play. Cool mechanics and at times very difficult. The ‘secrets beneath masks’ room and final boss were imo frustratingly difficult. Highly recommend this game. Only wish I could go and travel everything normally after I defeated the final boss. All of bosses were unique and fun. Beautiful artwork!.Version: 1.0.1

Takes Me Back to Metroid FusionMetroid Fusion is one of my favorite games within the 2D Metroidvania genre. I remember being sucked into that game on the Gameboy Advance back in the day. I don’t play a lot of games on my phone these days simply because I either A. Don’t have the time or B. Don’t really like the games. Games either feel like a massive time commitment or are too simplistic to enjoy long term. This game is the first game in ages that has actually caught my attention. The controls are intuitive and fun. The gameplay is challenging yet rewarding. You can play for a few minutes or a few hours. When Apple Arcade first launched the titles on there were pretty lacking. It’s genuinely nice to see games like this on the service. This is probably the best one I’ve played on here..Version: 1.0.1

Remarkable, challenging experienceAny fans of pixel platforms are going to love this. The music and graphics are fluid and tell a wonderful story. As a forewarning, you’re going to see some difficulty jumps as you progress, but that’s par the course for games such as this. The fact that it’s free via Apple Arcade is just icing on the cake. Five very enthusiastic stars..Version: 1.0.1

Looks Good, Feels Good, Sounds GoodI like everything about this game. Good challenge..Version: 1.0.1

Incredible gameBeautifully made, very challenging, but it was worth the effort. I got the first ending then played again and found out there was a “real” ending, I’m guessing this is the expansion? That final boss was so incredibly difficult, I think I replayed over 100 times to master it. It probably didn’t take other people as long, but wow did it feel amazing when I finally beat the game. I absolutely loved this game!.Version: 1.0.1
