Bug ID: Insect Identifier AI for Positive User Reviews

EssentialThe application and assistance from ID experts has been extraordinarily helpful in both my professional career in pest management and my hobby of collecting and identifying local species for my personal collection. Highly recommended..Version: 1.31

Good appThey have a team that you can send the photo too if the app doesn’t bring back an accurate answer. Great feature!.Version: 1.23

Green lacewing larvae identifiedMany thanks - excellent app!.Version: 1.24

Experts are wonderful!I downloaded the app because I had some random insect show up that I had never seen before. I uploaded photos, which were not identified correctly by the app (however the bugs were extremely small and my photo was not the best in terms of quality). However, I emailed in for help and was answered more accurately very quickly! With that in mind, I would say this app is great, lagely due to the responsiveness of the experts on the other end..Version: 1.20

Great resourceThe that sets this app apart is that there are experts waiting if you can’t get an ID or don’t agree with the app’s results. Amazing resource with fast responses! Love this app!.Version: 1.29

So HelpfulIt’s great. Just upload photos and you’ll see the possible insect detection along with other photos to compare. It was also a mystery with (in our case) fleas, as the various stages of development were throwing us off track. That said treatment is being done effective immediately afterwards! Also you can send a photo to their expert who will write back. Nothing like a real human experience combined. Thank you! Recommend this app!.Version: 1.37

CollectionI would like to have an area where I can take notes on the insects I find when I am collecting my insects, then I let them go.Version: 1.37

Client serviceWas very good. App couldn’t detect an insect so I submitted to customer service. They responded within a few hours with a positive id..Version: 1.29

I might have to fade the feeI have never had an interest for bugs. Every time I saw one I wanted to kill them onsite. A friend encouraged me to start releasing them into the wild instead. So now instead of killing them onsite, I’m learning about the bugs I encounter..Version: 1.23

Wonderful app!Tried 3 other apps without good results. None of their results looked like my picture. This app nailed this insect I’d never seen before. I’m not a insect fan, but I breathed easier knowing the details..Version: 1.37

Long way to go. Good support. There's a long way for this app to go to be a full "gotta have" app. There should be a way for them to leverage better images out of Apple devices via the API. I don't know how robust the back-end database is or if it's connected to an industry recognized source but that would help our immensely as well. A forwarded shot to their support returned a fairly quick response with the correct identification. If they do nothing more than semi-real-time responses, that still puts this app cleanly in the "worth a try" category..Version: 1.22

Price is steepPrice is steep. A monthly sub for it feels a little cash grab. I’d probably pay 30-$40 to keep the app from here on out. Maybe even have some sort of avatar mini purchase or something, but paying for the app forever feels like a bad call. I will inevitably stop the app because of this. So all depends on how much I like it and for how long. On the bonus, it works damn well. Easy to use and accurate results..Version: 1.22

DelightedI was surprised this exists, and “just works”. Now I can answer my kids’ “what is this bug” questions 🥹.Version: 1.27

Very helpful!I used the Expert Recognition feature and received a prompt reply on what bug was in my apartment - thank you!.Version: 1.27

SolidThis was a great resource in particular the ask an expert feature. We were worried we had found a brown recluse spider in our home and got multiple conflicting identifications through Nextdoor and the iPhone bug identifier. The identification narrowed it down for us and then we were able to get final confirmation through the ask and expert feature..Version: 1.37

Large SpiderCody got right back to me the next day with the type of spiders I was dealing with. It was good to know that it was not a brown recluse or close relative thereof! Great job and many thanks. Ole2beer.Version: 1.37

AwesomeI found a weird little bug in my bed and thought it was a bes bug and started freaking out. The expert was very kind and took only a couple of days to notify me and let me know it was not..Version: 1.37

SpiderWithin the past few years there has been an increase of spiders and other insects that are not native to Illinois. I have found this app to be helpful identifying the species that have been found living locally that I am unable to identify..Version: 1.36
