✓ Quite good if not for bugsI’ve played a couple games so far and am afraid to up the difficulty because of all the little bugs with equipment and effects. I imagine it’ll get patched eventually but I’ve had a game die early because I transmuted a card in my deck and it just didn’t show up. Said I didn’t have enough cards. Same with the legendaries not equipping or just disappearing from my inventory. Haven’t had many crashes but it happens. Also this game destroys your battery life. Hella fun though. I’ve played a couple games like this with the card battles and this just feels better because of the options you get and learning those play styles are viable because of the other support characters. ✓ Perfect game but for bugsAs an amalgam of so many rogue-like card games. Already easily my favorite of all of them, including slay the spire. Unfortunately the game crashes for me frequently, rendering some runs impossible to complete. Hopefully whatever issue there is patched out soon..Version: 0.2.1

✓ Hella nice!Love the game. The fact that it doesn’t constantly ask me to spend money or throw ads at me makes it even better. Gameplay is fun. Have some problems with minions playing correctly. But other than that fantastic! I am having a hard time getting it to sync with my iPad and phone, even though it says my account is backed up through Netflix. ✓ Fun game, work in progressPretty fun game, beat it on apex but it took me a few days of playing it. Annoyingly there are tons of low hardness levels you must grind through before unlocking apex, but it does ween you into the harder modes with more unlocks and doesn’t take too long to unlock each hardness level. The game still has some bugs, but nothing major. Most bugs are cosmetic, like equipping new frames to your heroes and there’s some enemy splash attacks that produce a pink square effect instead of sprites. Look forward to more content when it’s fully released..Version: 0.3.5

✓ Fantastic roguelike card battler, up there with sts and monster train.I’ve been very pleasantly surprised playing this on iPad, having not heard much about it. It works amazingly and has loads of replayability. It looks great (think hearthstone but with woodland animals) and runs smoothly (much better than sts on iOS). Gameplay wise it’s probably most similar to monster train with multiple lanes and honestly matches up to it in most ways. It has no f2p elements as far as I can tell, this is a full premium game. Essential if you have a Netflix subscription and enjoy card battlers.Version: 0.2.1

✓ Fix the minions!Guys amazing game but you can abuse the minions system. Playing Ragnarok allows you to spam minions on top of each other for them to stack up- without a limit! Been one-shotting bosses… Otherwise amazing game well done!.Version: 0.2.1

I’d give it five stars if it didn’t keep crashing but it’s like once you hit the cataclysm and you’re doing umbra shards to get good artifacts for your heroes it wants to crash every match or every other match. ✓ Best game in the Netflix catalogIt's really good, by far the best game in the Netflix game collection right now. It's a card battler rogue-like like Slay the Spire, but a bit more complex with multiple heroes rather than just one and slightly easier difficulty. It's more satisfying to set up card combos in Arcanium than StS because there's so many different paths, though. A run is a pretty good length (not too long, not too short) and it's easy to just pick up and play even when you just have a few minutes between meetings or something. Only criticism would be that there's a few interface bugs from time to time and it's harder to play on a phone if you have big fingers at the later stages of the game. As someone with like 100+ hours played in Slay the Spire, Arcanium is like a 10/10 for me for sure..Version: 0.2.1
✓ Very fun adventure deck builderI’ve been playing this for over a week and I really enjoy this game! You might too if you like: rogue-lite challenges, strategic exploration, vibrant comic book inspired artwork, talking animals with weapons, and smashing up foes with all sorts of card combos. The hexagonal map to explore between card battles is one of my favorite aspects of the solo adventure because you have more agency in how you proceed and prepare for a boss fight than I’ve seen in some other similar games. There’s a ton of character in the heroes! Along with their key art, each hero has a set of cheeky sticker/emojis that react when you play cards or resolve a round of battle. On Steam I see that as of writing this review the game is still considered “early access” and there are certainly areas of improvement yet. Some minion cards are missing text strings/abilities and a few pieces don’t seem to be working fully on mobile yet. But the gameplay is solid and I look forward to future polish and updates!.Version: 0.3.5

✓ Fun to learnYou have a lot of options to explore in the game so it’s fun to try out different things. The different characters are cool. Some bugs: When Mozebus and Shinzo are in the same team they have the same passive effect but only one triggers each turn. Tara’s Windsplitter heirloom does not activate the correct effect. When equipped it functions as Tara’s Warden Hood The quests can be buggy. One run my quests were so bugged that all three were marked completed but I could turn them in multiple times through restarting my app or going to another ? tile. This resulted in me getting over a dozen Shrine effects and the run being easy..Version: 0.2.9
✓ A good, fun, rouge-like card game.Despite seeing a mediocre 3.5 score, I decided to give it a try, it’s free and why not. The game is with beautiful art and effects, good tutorial, easy to start, and require a lot of strategic planning when you dive deeper into this game. 13 heroes, 3 map regions, 35ish hero-specific cards for each hero, 60ish non-hero-specific cards, 3 hero-specific equipments for each hero, 100ish non-hero-specific equipments, and tons of random map events and talents. Even the final boss has 5 elemental types! All the above makes this rouge-like card game a unique experience each time you restart. If you enjoy a beautiful, intensive planning, brainstorming, and RPG game, you will love this one. But beware, time flies really fast when you are all into it!.Version: 0.3.5

✓ Great RoguelikeThis game takes after Dream Quest and Slay the Spire but offers multiple characters similar to the lord of the rings tcg. Great innovations and UI. Don’t listen to the other reviews saying the game is impossible. I was able to beat the arkhan boss on my first try with the starting level 1 lion, fox, cat on Normal Adventure. I did not have any unlocks and this was ,y first time playing the game. It took strategy and it took me 4 hours since I had to think hard about my strategy and read all the cards..Version: 0.53

✓ Great rogue like deck builderI have played a number of games like this from OG slay the spire to monster train and I really enjoy Arcanium. Visuals are on point, it’s cool to stare at the artwork of the different heroes. Music is good with lots of sound effects mixed in, great for listening with earphones on iPad. They seem to have fixed the bugs as I have not had any crashes yet (didn’t get far though). I like the gwent vibe with the top down perspective on the cards. Finally a developer of one of those games takes the step of allowing you to decide which cards are in your deck or not without it being made laborious, means you can customise your deck and strategy almost immediately..Version: 0.56
✓ Great game with no microtransactionsThe gameplay is engaging with a good variety of heroes, bosses, powers and modifiers. The variety makes each run unique and doesn’t feel repetitive. This is great given parts of the gameplay are not hidden behind microtransactions. It is great also given it is not a finished product yet with not fully fleshed out gameplay mechanics (leveling up, mastery etc.) Would be 5 star if it is finished..Version: 0.2.9
✓ Cataclysm fixed?Been having lots of fun. Managed to clear the final boss 4 times now with no dramas or crashes. They’ve either fixed the app or you need one of the newer iPhones to process everything (I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro) Hoping they’ll bring more content in the future. There’s a good amount of unlockables atm but would be keen for a longer play through.Version: 0.3.5
