✓ Not much to it…1. It is an idle game but it doesn’t have much to it overall. I have played plenty of idle games and they have way more variation of enemies and things to do. This is ultra basic. 2. I played for about a day and then suddenly the game locked up on me. A few hours later I tried it again and I still can’t get back into the game. 3. ✓ Totally pointless waste of timeEach level is identical. You start slightly overpowered, then progressively the efficiency of mining slows down until you fight a boss and start a new level where the process repeats. The only “strategy” is in which spell you use to help the team progress faster, but there is no point to progression! If you like pressing buttons for no reason and don’t like games with strategy or goals - this is the game for you! Maybe it’s because of the fact that there’s no “pay to upgrade” options in these games that there’s no incentive for the developers to make a really great product. ✓ Nothing to progress to, what’s the point?Game has potential but it’s ridiculously basic. I get that it’s an idle game (I’ve played tons of them), but the good idle games have equipment, abilities, new mechanics that are unlocked and give you a feeling of progression. There are only basic/bland single pieces of equipment in this game and standard xp level-up’s for your dwarves. That’s it. Its basically a grind fest to watch your level number slowly go up but you never feel stronger since everything scales with you. What’s the point? This game feels unfinished or just plain lazy. ✓ Same issue as many othersWhen a dungeon is cleared, sometime the new, unlocked dungeon makes the game freeze. Then the game become unplayable, which results in you being forced to uninstall. It has great idle elements to where you can leave it alone and it progresses and also enough elements to play to keep it engaging for when you have some time to kill. I want to give it 5 stars. However. I faced a problem where the game froze mid dungeon dive and for the next day whenever I tried to start it up (thinking maybe it was a temporary issue), it would go to the load screen and never progress. ✓ Mindless grindThis game is enjoyable purely on the surface level. There appears to be no real story, just the choice of diving through one of the five dungeons on repeat or running through one of the three tower instances. The game mechanics are fun and add a level of strategy to the game. However, the game becomes extremely easy, as you out-skill the difficulty progression fairly quickly and it doesn’t appear to attempt correcting itself, so the game just plays itself, aside from tapping a per-instance level up bought with gold acquired inside of instances. The gameplay loop is shallow—send your dwarves in, mash their special abilities until you have cleared enough rock to find the boss, and that’s it. There are minor gear and spell upgrades. ✓ Still worthless Update - shrine multipliers not workingEdit 6/21 - Tower / Shrine still not working. Jeez. Aside for the No End Goal of this game the recent update was nice BUT the multiplier worked only once in Golem ice cave area (got 120 instead of 20). Every dungeon since then its still just 20 item reward for clearing the boss. I’m at 600% or 3-star shrine so should be 120 at every dungeon. But its only 20. Also no quest credit for upgrades already done. My dwarves are 3-4 star and i get zero credit for the quests to upgrade things..Version: 1.5.0

✓ Repetitive fun, but keeps freezing and won’t restartIf you like simple build up your character level games, this is worth a try. However since version 1.6 the game seems to struggle with progress beyond level 10 for the characters. The game slows, then when you open the game it’s stuck on the loading screen. Shame, ‘cos the effort and time building up the characters has gone to waste. Version 1.7 has solved this problem. ✓ Enjoyable but flawedI like that this game is an idle dungeon crawler. I can just set my dwarves to work on a dungeon, and then check back in on them hours later. I’m a person who enjoys the meditative nature of grinding levels in a game, so this definitely isn’t for everyone. The underlying nature of the game is not the issue I have. For me, the problem is when I reached higher levels. For one, every dungeon is at difficulty “Easy” now. This removes the enjoyment of deciding to send my dwarves into a hard dungeon because I know I’ll be away from the game for a few hours, and I want to see if they can get through it. It’s just all easy and all same-same. The second problem is much larger. Fortune Runes, as far as I can tell, can only be used one at a time. Sometimes I get bonus runes upon completing a tower challenge. This bonus started at a reasonable level: Instead of 1 rune, I’d receive 11. Then the number of bonus runes started increasing. (Roughly) 30, 100, then 300 runes received every time I got a bonus. Now it’s 999 runes per bonus. Since runes can only be used one at a time, I would have to use 999 runes ONE AT A TIME to use them all up. This is ridiculous and broken. Since the dungeons became easy, tower challenges were a nice change of pace. Now they just stress me out when I get the bonus runes, knowing I either have to click over a thousand times on an upgrade screen to use them all, or just leave the runes incompletely used. This is frustrating and unsatisfying. The final problem is a support problem. There is no option within the game to report a bug or otherwise communicate something about the game. I searched the Hyper Hippo webpage, but didn’t find any sort of customer support option. Finally, by pulling up the game in the App Store, I found the option “App Support.” But this just lead me to a generic Help page for all of Netflix with nearly nothing specific about this game, and instructions to call if I still had questions/wanted to contact them. I don’t want to call. I want to be able to shoot off a message or an email (with screen caps) about the issues I’ve found rather than calling. So hopefully someone sees this review and makes some tweaks to the game. I like the game, and would love to see it improved..Version: 1.8.0
✓ What is the *point?*At first I thought there was a purpose to watching the backs of four cartoon dwarves swing their pickaxes, every second, to see them gain levels & rise (or lower, actually) through the dungeon. Then I saw it was the same formula for each 'dungeon'. Swing; smash; kill; destroy; level; kill boss; next dungeon, keeping the new levels for the characters, but losing all the stuff you fought so hard to earn; like the gold/coins. What denomination is aa?? I know it is higher than a trillion, but I still don't know what it means; doesn't really matter, when you end the level, you're back to zero. Yea. Each floor of the dungeon becomes 'harder', except that it doesn't, really - it just takes more time for the dwarves to break through. Go to bed, wake up in the morning & you'll find they've earned much coin & stuff, YOU don't even have to play; kinda dumb in that respect. Things move at a sllllooooowwww pace, still, I managed dungeon level 20 in a week, before it again bogs down so hard you're left with that feeling of, "Why?" When each hit, EACH of the five dwarves makes is (supposedly) knocking off 5-MILLION points, & they've been at it for over 36-hours and the progress bar has barely moved, you again ask yourself, "Should I just cut my losses & quit?" I just don't see the REASON to go further. I Suppose I'll let it play out until my subscription ends (with all the nickel & dime-ing Netflix has decided to start nicking accounts with, my son has decided to cancel our subscription. Can't say I blame him.) As for the game, great for frustration and OCD, but otherwise, WHAT IS THE POINT?!?.Version: 1.1.0
✓ Keeps Locking UpIt seems to lock up at random, always when going back to the main map (<— developers). It looks like the new mine doesn’t always load cleanly. I’ve seen the just completed one disappear and nothing comes back, it goes away and the new one does show but there’s no response, and it goes away and the lock symbol comes up. Note: The only way to get out of this is to uninstall / reinstall and start again (<— developers). I’ve had to do this over many attempts.Version: 1.6.0
✓ Lost all progress.It seems to be a common problem with this game. It eventually locks up and freezes at the loading screen after that. Upon reinstall, the app starts working again but deletes all progress. (Apparently it isn’t stored online, despite being tied to a Netflix profile.) ✓ Daily quests?I like the game, but it seems every day one of the daily quests is upgrade any spell 3 times. Since I currently need 22 runes to upgrade each spell, and I get 1 rune for completing a dungeon, that means I need to complete 66 dungeons in 24 hours to complete the daily quests, which tbh has put me off. Not that the daily quests are worth completing anyway, I get like 20 copper or something for competing one of the quests, I’ve already got 24,000 copper in stock so what’s the point? That’s just an example. I’ve got 10s of thousands of various resources just from hacking through the l dungeons loads of times, at least make the daily quests worth doing, and not impossible at the same time. ✓ Tolerably amusing, but then it broke…It feed the OCD impulse until it suddenly got stuck on the loading screen (pickaxe clinking) and refused to start up. Power cycling phone didn’t help. Not willing to delete and reinstall while losing all progress. Guess I’ll check in periodically to see if it magically starts working again. ✓ Good game but lacking content.It’s a well made game. No micro transactions, which is nice. However, I feel it’s lacking content. It’s literally the same thing over and over. Your dwarves dig through a tunnel defeating bosses when they're strong enough, then you start another dungeon losing all gold you earned (but keeping the gear you picked up). Feels like there’s no incentive to keep playing after defeating your first few dungeons. There aren’t even any extra activities to do, or different directions to go in the dungeons. It’s just a straight line. You just watch your dwarves keep digging non stop. Having said all that, I believe it’s a newish game so more content could be on its way. Fingers crossed..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Not really an idle gameThis really needs better balancing to be considered an idle game. The gameplay is fun and the small amount of player input through the abilities is nice (if somewhat lacking), but I downloaded this with the understanding that it is an idle game. It looks like one and acts like one, however it really isn’t. The point at which the game becomes impassable, unless you actively level up/move on to the next floor, happens very quickly. I once left one of my characters fighting a bad guy and then went to bed; when I came back to the game, ~7 hours later, and they were still fighting the same character. They had barely made any progress either. This was about 5 mins after I had begun that floor of the dungeon, which means that my characters had already maxed out what they could do on that floor within 5 mins of playing. This is true for pretty much every floor. You can’t just leave the game and come back later, you have to actively participate in the playing, which negates the “idle” aspect of it. You have to constantly be monitoring it to move your characters between floors or else nothing will progress. So, some work on that side of things would be appreciated and would really elevate the game..Version: 1.0.1
