✓ It is hard to defend 40 timesVery time I fail to get the isle defended 40 times. I have to start all over again. I hope it give me a easy mode so I complete the campaign in 35 or even 25 time. Or can I continue on the last mode so I do not have to star all over again. This games is highly addictive but after several fail campaigns at 38 times. I hate to start all over again. I begin to play less and less since every time I play it , I am indulged in it for an hour..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Excellent!Ever since I got an iPad, I’ve been looking for a solid tower defense game for iOS. This is the first one that checks off all the boxes (challenging, attractive, well designed, etc). Very excited about it! For the devs: The cannons should be 4x4, since their range would definitely extend farther than arrow towers. That way, they could be placed behind arrow towers around corners. Otherwise you guys nailed it, congrats and thank you!.Version: 1.1.1
✓ Challenging but RewardingThis might be my favorite game released this year. It’s a very fun take on a typical tower defense game and is quite challenging, but not in an unfair way. ✓ I Adore This GameThis game has filled the hole in my heart left by the removal of FF Crystal Defenders from the App Store many years ago. Isle of Arrows is now one of my favorite games. Currently I only have one request, iCloud syncing. I just upgraded to a new iPhone & none of my progress carried over since i didn’t restore from a backup. ✓ Great game needs balancedReally fun game gets extremely difficult to the point it’s nearly impossible to beat. I get to about round 38 everytime and by that point the enemies are so difficult to kill and you just don’t have enough fire power when worrying about 3 different lanes. I wish there was an “upgrade” element to the towers, increased damage, range, fire rate, etc. it would definitely create some balance for the level of the enemies and lack of room to build..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Amazing Tower Defense Tile Placement Board/Video Game MixBeen years since I had this much fun with an app! I lost 2 hours of time last night to this app and it felt like 15 minutes. I cannot wait to try again. This plays and feels like a tile placement board game that morphs into an amazing tower defense experience. It is turn based, not real time. You draw a tile, place it, and initiate the next wave. You can also spend resources to draw new tiles, demolish existing tiles, or build bridges to place new tiles on open air-because you are on a floating island that you need to expand as you play. It is a beautiful blend of risk-reward resource management, strategic tile placement, and epic tower defense. I also love the artwork. This game screams sophistication and eloquence even as its difficulty slowly builds to crazy hard levels-just wait until you have to manage multiple paths simultaneously! It’s almost unfair how hard (in a good way) it becomes to choose where to allocate your tiles and spend your resources-because the mark of a good tower defense and tile placement board game is all about choice and compromise. The tile draw factor means you probably won’t get what you want so you need to work with what you have. But your success rewards you with more options to choose from in future games. I am enjoying this game so much! My only wish is that it could also be landscape oriented. I play on an iPad 7th gen and it gets tiring holding it in portrait mode..Version: 1.1.1
✓ Brilliant game, loved it, need more like this on iPad.I have been a gamer most my life. Consoles and PC. I don’t like iPad games. Casual, simple, Childish and cartoonish. In my opinion, crap. In app purchase rip offs. Don’t like them. Disappointed. This is the exception. Wow. Love it. Spent hour after hour on it. Really enjoyed it. It is so clever. Very hard, but I did finish it after many hours over a few months and I could easily replay it. For the price, the value to playability ration is great. The problem I have now is, I want more. I would like a game of this quality on my iPad for the convenience when you want to grab a quick hour here and there. Sofar searching the store, I’m just disappointed because everything I look at, looks rubbish and many of the reviews confirm it. I know we can’t have PC quality games on iPad. The latest hi res 3d graphic AAA titles, but there is no reason why we could not have some decent games and strategy games that the iPad with its fairly good specs can manage. ✓ Wonderful!I am a long time mobile gamer but hardly at all in the last few years (spending my gaming time using a Meta Quest these days). This is one of the rare mobile games to grab my extended attention for a while and I love it. While the random luck of the draw plays a big role in your success, good strategy and tactics can overcome bad draws. There is a ton of challenge and content here and I expect to keep playing for a long time (but perhaps not so obsessively). Also, this game is beautiful and highly polished. ✓ Run The GauntletCampaign mode is enjoyable. Offering a good mix of fun, strategy and frustration. It’s reasonably straightforward getting through and satisfying completing the levels and gaining the achievements. Gauntlet mode, however, is fiendishly difficult. I have literally just 100% completed the game and it’s taken months and months of failed attempts. The trouble is you need a lot of luck combined with ultimate strategic placement to stand any chance and even then the your chances are slim. I did get an enormous sense of gratification when I finally beat level 6 on all of the different sections. Messages to the DEVs. Please add a sandbox game. I’d love it if I could create my ultimate tower defence, aaaaand please less water tiles!!!.Version: 1.1.3

✓ Solid GameIsle of Arrows is a good strategy tower defense game, definitely worth $5 for this game. The gameplay is fun and the meta-progress feels validating. That being said, the balance of the game is terrible. A run’s success is heavily reliant on RNG, and the strategy for most runs is generally the same. There are so many really cool cards that COULD affect the game, but the margin of error is so narrow that the game harshly punishes any experimentation. To win a run, you really need a good balance of resources, but all resources are randomized, and often you get screwed over. The game also places strange limitations on how you can place tiles. These rules seem mostly to protect players from trapping their pathway on accident, but in my opinion they make things more frustrating. I think the game would be a lot funner if the player had more control over what cards they have access to, so that the game was more strategic, instead of based mostly on luck. ✓ Super fun!The random nature of the tiles is fun. I wish there was an overall means of becoming more powerful across games, like a rogue-like element. Sometimes the RNG does feel a little too bad and it feels like the games where everything lines up are on the rarer end. My biggest complaint is that in Gauntlet Mode, there needs to be more visual contrast between the map and the background. Both are super dark and it makes things difficult to see without cranking the brightness up and draining your battery life. ✓ Awesome and addicting but have requestsI love Isle of Arrows and have worked through all of the campaign levels exepect for one Merchants Guild in the Burning Embers realm. The variety of towers and relics, randomness and variety of levels, and the option to play the Gauntlet and daily challenges are all great. I keep playing every day. My one major complaint is that I've found the merchant guild levels especially frustrating and I've been playing and replaying the same one again and again and feel totally hamstrung by the RNG quality of the game. I wish that we could do one of the following: 1) keep and use some number of tiles later, 2) have some sort of powerup (other than relics and black market draws) to deal with repeated waves of quick or beefy attackers, especially early in the level when you haven't had a chance to develop your path and towers, or 3) change the weighting of what randomly shows up in the early part of the level to make it more possible to complete. Despite my frustration with the merchant guild levels I love the game. Thanks for creating it. Hope there are expansions and updates in the works..Version: 1.1.3

✓ Level 21 or bustThey should call this game level 21 or bust because it is very difficult to reach level 40 without the Legacy tower you get for completing level 20 the game before. There are many times where you loose so many hearts that you know there is no way you’ll make it to 40, you you just do your best to reach 21 so next time you get to keep the extra legacy tower. The RNG of this game can be so frustrating. You can hit wave 10 and have 2-3 towers and that’s if you get the legacy tower. Towers and bombs need to spawn more frequently. Darksouls is fun because it’s difficult but you can get better the game. This game is just luck of the draw. Otherwise, fun game!.Version: 1.1.4

You should be able to undo and re-place a tile up until you place another one or start a wave. ✓ Addictive and UnforgivingAt first glance this game looks like any other tower defence game, with the added gimmick that you have to build the path as you go. As you progress, you have to completely rethink your approach as the game gets much harder. The only comparison I can really make to this particular combination of strategy and luck is Polytopia. The game is repetitive in an enjoyable way. You have to play later levels many many times to beat them as all 5 guilds. Gauntlet mode offers an even greater challenge, with each win adding another challenging rule. When you get bored of losing, you can switch things up by completing achievements. The only thing I’d like to see added besides further expansions is a sandbox mode so you can test out different strategies without having to wait for the cards to fall in your favour. An endless or continue playing mode would also be great so you aren’t cut off short when you beat wave 40 (just disable achievements at wave 40). A lot of information is also missing or hard to find, like how much damage fire and poison traps do..Version: 1.1.3

✓ Wonderful game. But…This is literally my favorite game. But too many times have I accidentally pressed “skip” in game, or “start a new game” when I didn’t mean to. Fixes for those issues could be a different UX designed with the highest consequence to be the hardest button tp press. Skip is a very easy button to press when cards are presented. Starting a new game should warrant a message “are you sure” before proceeding. Also, I would love to have just one undo button. ✓ Most dynamic tower defence everI’m not an avid tower defence seeker but I do enjoy a good one. This one is next level. Strategy, logistics, planning… and nothing repetitive about it. I get that some may be hesitant to buy a game without ever playing it, but just look up the title and find some gameplay vids and I’m sure you’ll see that this game is in a realm of its own as far as tower defence games go. I just spent the past 2-3 hours playing the first few available sections and I from the looks of it there’s a crapload more to unlock. I also appreciate how there are not any obnoxious in-app purchases or advertisements. This has been a very enjoyable game that doubles as a fun way to waste time. Been really enjoying it but I hope with future updates the game will be smart enough to know if I have bombs in my inventory then it’ll let me build a path facing a flag or water… knowing I have the means to blow it up and put something in its place. I mean the game let’s you build to the edge without bridges… and it’s literally the same thing… so It’s a little annoying we’re you are trying to strategize placements and the game says you’ll cut off the path when you aren’t… also I wish water tiles stacked. Feels kinda silly you have to blow up water to replace it with.. more water. Would make water a little less cumbersome but add an extra element into the puzzle/strategy of the game..Version: 1.1.0

Worth the purchase!Great game, nice aesthetics, entertaining, challenging, fun to learn One small problem, the daily defense with the leaderboard is a lot of fun, but you can close the app and get a second chance at the most recent wave you were on, I’m not sure, but it feels like the people in the top of the leaderboard are manipulating this bug basically every wave, I simply can’t believe they are getting those scores playing the game as it was intended, would be nice to see this fixed, if you close the app without saving you should lose your run, plain and simple..Version: 1.1.4
✓ AmazingAn amazing tower defence game created by the guy behind Lara Croft Go and Hitman Go. Smart, full of surprises and a lot of content. If you like games that are easy to learn, minimalist (in a good way), but challenging for your brain… if you like games that will boost your dopamine and self-esteem when you figure out the strategy to be victorious, well, this one is for you. ✓ Fun but frustratingI really want to love this game but the RNG is simply too hard and it takes away from what otherwise would be a great game. So many times I get to 35+ and then get wiped on a defense that had been working very well. Or, like just now, playing gauntlet and 6 hands in I have lost 2 hearts just trying to balance immediate versus future defenses, really frustrating. Fix the meanness of the rng and you got yourself a game worth playing for the long run. A couple of suggestions: you have two cards to pick from and pay for the third. Also an undo, I have accidentally placed a corner the wrong way or on the iPad hit something I don’t meant to and you’re stuck with it, can be a game ending honest mistake..Version: 1.1.1

I have, a few times, had a new track spawn in a spot that is outside this range, meaning I can only see a sliver of it and can’t actually build there. ✓ From a TD fanatic - this one is a gemI’ve played just about every Tower Defense game available on iOS (except for the blatant shovelware), and this game stands out among the best TD experiences you will have on mobile (or at all, for that matter). The gameplay mechanics borrow from several genres: isometric turn based strategy (hitman / tomb raider go), card-based games (hearthstone / rogue tower) and combines it with classic path-building TD to create something truly unique. There’s a lot of content here, and daily challenges keep me coming back. I’d love for the developer to expand on this game… expansions with new towers, levels, modes. This is definitely a winning formula, and I highly recommend this game if you like roguelikes, puzzle games, or TD..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Suggestion - sandboxI think there should be a sandbox mode. So you could test out towers you got and play around with the towers! I just think a game as beautiful as this should have a sandbox mode. That’s all, it would be great to see this in the game but it’s your choice!
