✓ Great App. Great diagnostics…I really like the app. It has great information and help save an Easter Lily I have had for years. I like the reminders and didn’t realize in many of my plants the watering cycle was way different than I thought. My plants are thriving now (for the most part - I am still human) I would like to see a function in there that you missed a day and watered a day or two late (or fertilized)m a day or two late) and have it recalculate when you should water the plant. Some of my plants don’t dry out in the set amount of time between some waterings. I like to keep a set schedule, however, if some of them still have moist soil I would push watering a day or two away from usual schedule. ✓ Love it! But could use some updatesI use this app daily and love it, but now that I’m starting to get more rare plants the app is falling short. I now have several plants that are not in the application’s database. It’s not as big of deal for the garden plants, for example peppers for the most part all need the same care. That can’t be said for Philodendrons, which have around 489 species, and Monsteras which only have 59 species but all require slightly different care. I really hope an update is coming soon or the ability to modify our own care sheets that we can submit to the developers. Another suggestion I have is for the advanced settings, and put in what medium type our plants are in. A plant in LECA/PON is not going to need the same watering schedule as a plant in soil mixes..Version: 1.51

✓ Useful but could use some updatesI’ve recently been trying my hand at gardening after many failed attempts. I like the plant identifier and the way you can add your plants to different sites. I also love the journal because i can take photos and compare them to see the progress or decline. The reminders are great but I tend to forget to water on the exact day of the reminder. So this brings me to a suggestion. Suggestions: an option to mark the plant “watered or done”, so it knows when to remind me based on the actual day I marked it watered. Currently it just tells me to water every specified number of days but if I miss that mark by 2 days then the next reminder will be -2 days from when I actually watered it. Another suggestion I have is a “rain” option or a “site watered” where I could mark just my backyard “site” “watered” so my next reminder will be set based on that rain or watered day. I hope I was able to explain that clearly. I look forward to having progress in my gardening using your app..Version: 1.27.2
✓ Not all homes are the sameGreat app but knowing the layout of a home should be taken into consideration. It says kitchens are recommended places for plants. I have no windows in my kitchen, it’s very dark. And bedrooms are not recommended because there is not enough light even tho it has an east facing window with plenary of light. Way more than my kitchen. It is an apartment and I only have east facing windows with no trees or foliage blocking light from coming inside. I’ve never come across anything telling me to add cinnamon, sugar or honey but it does tell me when to fertilize. ✓ Very helpful appI love that this tells me when to water and fertilize. The only thing I would change is to be able to check off the to-do items after the day it pops up. ✓ Saved my plant!As a normal human being, I kinda wanna be a farmer. I find this app a great way to keep track of my plants. I was checking my Avocado plant and it was not looking too well. It had purple leaves and I know that’s not normal. I scanned the plant and I was under watering it. Unlike other apps that tells you to pay money for a sickness detector, this one is free. ✓ Great appI really love this app however recently i have found that i cannot take a photo of a plant with the app camera - i have to take it on my phone and then open the pic in the app. I have made sure that the app has camera access in settings but this hasnt helped. ✓ Love.I absolutely love this app, it’s been beyond useful helping me identify a fungal problem for my snake plant and a pest problem on my cactus. It’s also been my go-to when I’ve gotten new plants and want to ensure the best placement and watering schedule. I don’t really use the reminders since I have a lot of self-watering pots, but it has so many useful features, I don’t think I’d go without the app again. Only drawback is having to click the sneaky ‘cancel’ in the top right corner every time you open the app. If I used a lot more of the features I’d consider paying to purchase the app, but that’s not an option and I don’t do subscriptions since it’s a good way to senselessly tie up your income and financial circumstances can always change..Version: 1.32
✓ App not workingHi, I am having a lot of problems with your app and even though I have updated it today, it still not working. I have tried to look for your website but cannot find where to access contact information for you. Up until my problem started, I really loved using this plant identification app and having access to all the information on each of my plants. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the App, but it still won’t work for me. When I open it, and click on the plant that needs attention, it closes the app down which means I have to restart again and this is the only way I can use it but it’s not much fun having to do this. ✓ Great information resourceThe Plant Parent app is a very impressive information source for people interested in growing plants. The technology that recognises a plant through one or two photos is clever and a good use of image recognition software. I also like the depth of information, from watering and feeding schedules, through to soil acidity, known pests and problems, and general plant maintenance tips. My only gripe is that when you click on the icon for more info, instead of continuing to provide you with plant specific info, it takes you to a general article about watering. It would be better to continue through to the full article instead of being cut off part way through. I’m wondering if this is just a glitch that no-one has spotted?.Version: 1.38

✓ Good for recognition & info on plantsLove this app have used picture this for ages but this gives more info & especially that you can add each plant to the room or area it’s in & measure light so allows you to see each plants requirements & best placing etc as well as watering reminders etc. HOWEVER the placing part doesn’t seem to work if I try to add a plant to a new room it just keeps trying but then freezes. Guess is a bug somewhere on this? Doesn’t tell u anything just has a ball going round & screen becomes inactive, waited a few mins but no change.
