✓ Overpriced & needs more to keep me engagedI like using this app because of the diagnostic feature and I like that it helps me identify certain plants. Those are the 2 pros and the reason I keep it downloaded on my phone. I’m glad they don’t charge for those services bc if they did I would not use it. Free diagnostic and identification is #1 thing I think should be free and glad that it is But outside of those two features.. there is not much more on the app to keep me engaged. I enjoy reading articles about gardening, botany, and mind bending information that really wows my mind. Like what is in store for plant parents in the near future—bioluminescent plants are an exciting topic Also, I’d like to learn how and have a guide tool to aid me on my journey in growing all types plants. It would be great if a they had a guide of medicinal plants and herbs. I think anything that is interesting on how we can use our plants, create new ones (hybrids), what’s in store for the future, how to make DIY skin and hair care from plants. ✓ Needs more features and better AIWish there were more features like exporting a list of all your plants and their care info (light/soil/water, etc). Their plant identifier is ok but vague. It will identify the species but not the exact variety. For instance it can’t distinguish between a neon pothos and an N’Joy so you just get Golden Pothos for literally any type of pothos you scan, and it’s like this for many of the plants. I wish there was a better gallery instead of the typical 1 photo for the plant, especially when you’re scanning a cutting and want to know what it will look like matured. I wish it would allow input for adding plants like cutting: Y/N, propagation water or soil, date added to library, track growth progress by asking for a photo of your plant the same way it reminds you to water and fertilize. And I’d also like if there was better assistance with soil recommendations and propagation instructions specific to the plant. A lot of the care info is about as generic as the little tag that comes with the plant. I dont know if other plant apps are better but I plan to research features of the competing plant apps and make a decision from there. Unless of course, developers take my review into consideration and try implementing some of the suggestions I’ve made. Now that- would give this app an absolute value if they end up having highly responsive skilled developers that are assertive and willing to make improvements!.Version: 1.55

✓ Not so greatTried this for the 2nd time. My golden pothos has had a hard time this summer with all the crazy heat. Even though it is an inside plant it was still affected. I can’t seem to help it. I’ve never had a problem like this before so decided to try this app again. The first pic I took didn’t show the water tray so that’s all the app keyed in on. Right tells me I need to water it. Since it didn’t need watering I deleted the photo and took another showing the water tray. ✓ Dodgy membership practicesSo I got a new phone and realised I would have to sign up as a member to transfer all my plant data from my old one. No problem, 7 day free trial, all good. I hadn’t signed up yet because I was testing a couple of other apps out. So everything goes fine, my plants come up on my phone but then I realise that on my new phone it’s telling me I should have watered some of my plants three days ago… bit odd, so I checked the care tab for the plants and the watering routine had changed from every 10 days to every 7 days. I checked my other plants and it turned out all the succulents watering times had also changed to be further apart… Given that these changes happened after I signed up for membership, can I assume that plant parent was giving me information that wasn’t giving the proper care to my plants? Furthermore the first impulse point when you look at the membership sign up claims “Premium members are 2.6x more likely to keep their plants happy” given that the information I’m now getting is more likely to keep my plants happy, (possibly 2.6x) I do wonder where they got that figure from. I’ve really enjoyed using the app and would love to be shown that it’s just a mistake. If it isn’t, I’m not sure how I feel about paying a company that gives misleading information to its customers in the hopes of making more money..Version: 1.51

✓ Please fix the schedule featureThe schedule had an option to mark tasks that were missed in the past completed. Now it doesn’t. And this is very inconvenient. I often complete tasks on the next day or two and there is no way to mark them “done”. As a result I get confused because I don’t remember which task is completed and which is not. I suggest that you add missed tasks to the next day and mark them as late and add how urgent they are. I liked this app because of its other features but the main reason I bought it was the reminders schedule. But as it is now your schedule is unfortunately useless. Another suggestion is to add “how to” section. Sometimes I can’t do things like setting up something like a location or pot size or find the light meter in the app. And it is so annoying to know that I saw the feature I want to use and can’t find it. In general, it would be good to have a way to communicate with your support team that is not in the form of a review. I hope to see the changes for better soon..Version: 1.49

✓ Don’t fall for the advertisement.I bought the subscription on this app because the advertising showed they used natural supplements to treat sick plants. Like Lemmon and turmeric for example. However after using the app now for about 3 years. I’ve never experienced this app how it represents itself in the advertising videos. They are misleading and false. The app actually gives you advice on how to care for the plant that you will find on the plant label, for example temperature to keep it, how after to water. Humidity the plant likes. But the app does not tell you to use lemons and herbs like it is advertised! The app however is good for identifying plants you see on your travels if you need to find the name of something you’ve seen and like. I do this often when flying around the world and see something I’d like to buy. But the app itself on care is basic. You can find the care needs on Google if you know the name of your plant and save yourself money every month. The app it’s more like a plant diary. Helps you keep track water schedules and care tips on tap as mentioned above & indenting other plants. But don’t fall for the advert. Do I think it’s worth the money. No! I don’t. I think you can do everything this app offers in a book of your own & a little Google sketching on care tips. However. I pay as I use it as a plan identifying app. But if you are not Interested in this. Then don’t buy the subscription. Buy a book & a pen instead..Version: 1.59

✓ Almost thereI got this app to diagnose issues with my houseplants. It was very to take pictures and get a diagnosis. Mostly under watering but also in some cases more light needed. I’m grateful for the reminders feature as I had been watering all plants on a weekly or biweekly schedule but now feel. More confident that the schedule is based on the plant and season. By biggest complaints are with reminders. There isn’t a way to check them off as done. Seems like simple functionality. Also if I fertilize a day late I can indicate which plants I fertilized and update the schedule. It’s a all or nothing override to the schedules for watering and fertilizing. ✓ Deceiving expert featureI don’t usually write app review but this is too bad and outrageous. While there are so many apps out there that can provide things like auto diagnosis, plant identifier etc, what this app interests me is its “Ask our experts and get quick personalized solutions” feature. When I clicked on this “ask our experts” feature, it prompted a “paid for it” page where it says “pay $29 and get help from experts - it’s $0.07 per day”. I loved this and I paid for it. I asked the expert and the person gave me back 2 emails, which is good. However, what I didn’t know, and this app doesn’t want to tell you, is that you only get 2 inquiries PER YEAR. So instead of $0.07 per day, it’s $15 PER EMAIL RESPONSE!! So even if the response was totally useless and you wanna ask a follow up question, NO YOU CANNOT! What’s even worse and also a really bad strategy, is that it doesn’t give you the option to buy more inquiries. I mean, it’s bad enough to trick you users into paying for something kinda fake, it’s helpless to do nothing about it, no follow up plan, no monetization, no up sell. I’m giving it three stars, however, because I cannot find all of my plants in the database and I am unable to edit the watering check off list. Another app I tried , Blossom, diagnosed the plants with either root rot, over watering or lack of nutrients. Which nutrients was never disclosed. The plants were impatients & elephant ears. Also, I requested to a personal chat with someone once through the “Are you having a plant emergency?” option and no one ever got back to me. That was over 6 months ago and now when I try to use the he option I get a response of “Your ticket quota has been exhausted .” Really? After one use? With a paid subscription? Also, the notifications for watering, rotating and fertilizing your plant does not allow editing of your plants scheduled tasks. I mean you can edit it but it reverts right back to what it was prior to your edits. There is way too much manual work that goes into this app. Do yourself a favor and reverse search your photos of your plants using Google Lens. It’s free and it works. ✓ Really horrible adviceI used the app to help me get my plants healthier. It told me that they weren’t getting enough sun. So I moved them to the patio. It said 4-6 hours of full sun. After less than an hour I checked on my plants. One was fully drooped over. I immediately took it inside. It was burned on many leaves. Now, days later, I get a diagnosis that says it is under-watered and needs to be watered more frequently! That’s insane. ✓ RemindersThe water reminders are not accurate …. Almost every week it’s telling me to water a plant that still has a week to go. Last update took away the reminders rolling to the next day. ✓ It’s not greatThe app doesn’t send reminders, you have to log in daily to check. It also increases the time between when you have to water them next, which is good, if you have plants that are going to need changes in water, I’ve killed 2 plants following this apps instructions. I don’t mind how it lets you know if it’s going to rain soon or if it thinks your plants need more sunlight in the room. I’m confused thought at how it can predict if it’s going to rain in my area but can’t understand that it’s reaching above 35*c and my plants might need to be watered more frequently. ✓ Do not believe when they say they will notify before the annual charge is dueI did remember to cancel thankfully, however the annual fee still went through. The app works ok although the resolution is not always clear. Really angry to have been conned in to paying the annual fee..Version: 1.37
✓ Not worth itTried a few plants, the message was “this plant needs more care” but no explanation what! I was charged for a year as the reminder of subscription was brief and disappeared before I realised what is happening. Don’t download the free trial, you will end up paying £30. Mihail.Version: 1.40
