✓ Work Out Ur BugsThe idea behind this app is great and it could be a lot better than it is currently. Whenever I open the app it immediately sends me to my Spotify to try and play songs my friends have sent, however it DOES NOT WORK! Then because Spotify won’t play the song, it switches back to the window the kiwi app is open on, and continuously opens both Spotify and kiwi back and forth until I close both windows. In addition to this, my recently played NEVER loads, so I can’t even send songs I like to my friends. As I said before, this app has a lot of potential. ✓ Needs bug fixesI absolutely loved Kiwi. The concept is great, I got all my friends into it and we were having a good time. Over the past few months, bugs have been ruining our enjoyment of the app. Firstly, IOS users haven’t been receiving any notifications when their friends like/dislike their songs, which already takes away a huge part of what makes the app fun. In the last week or so, profile pictures have stopped working, they’ve all gone grey. Can’t change them, can’t do anything about them. It’s just bug after bug that isn’t being fixed, even after we’ve contacted Kiwi support. ✓ It was good at firstI miss the old rating concept. A lot of my mutuals and i have expressed our dislike for the swiping left and right. It’s too vague because i don’t necessarily dislike a song but it’s not my favorite either. Rating was more efficient in my opinion. Another huge thing that i greatly advise Kiwi to bring back is the option to respond! You can write messages for songs but there is no way for someone else to respond directly back to the message like before. Also, when you write a message that’s a little longer there’s no way to read the full thing because it gets cut off. ✓ One minor flaw and one very frustrating oneI love the concept of this app and some aspects of the execution but it has a few flaws to me. The first one isn’t too bad, I just wish it would send the reminder to send music at different times of day. It sends it at the same time every day. Secondly, the auto playing feature of the songs you are sent or decide to sent makes the app very hard to use. It’s extremely frustrating to deal with. It’s extremely buggy and just disrupts the flow I have, and my friends have, with our music. ✓ Used to be fun until recent updateI really enjoyed using this app at first to send & receive songs from friends.. but the recent update has it now formatted like a dating app where it plays a short section of a song & then you have to swipe right or left to indicate u either liked or disliked it. You can’t even easily listen to the whole song or look at a list of all the songs your friends sent you like you could before, so whereas before it could be used to discover new music, now it just exists to rate songs superficially after listening to only a few seconds of them… really not enjoyable for me anymore. I don’t even see the point of using the app anymore if I can’t see all the songs my friends sent me. If the developers are reading this, I understand that you guys were probably just trying to make it a more fun & streamlined experience or something, but you’ve kind of killed the appeal it used to have in the process. The removal of rating in favor of a like/dislike system makes the whole opinion system less interesting and invaluable. ✓ The new update…I honestly rate this app a 1 star after this new update. Previously, I used kiwi to send songs with my friend, which was a lot more convient and fun. I loved being able to rate the song a scale instead of completely disliking or liking it. ✓ Love the idea, app needs some workThis is a great concept, there are just a few changes that could be made to the app that would make the experience a lot better. First, in general the app is pretty buggy. It crashes frequently and often doesn’t load my song library, so I have to close the app and reload it until my songs pop up. Second, I’m ok with only sending one song per person per day, but having it be after 24 hours can be confusing. Just today I got the notification that it was time to send my songs, but then it wouldn’t let me since it hadn’t been 24 hrs since I sent the pervious day’s songs. I know if I don’t send them when I get the notification, I’ll forget later on when 24 hrs has passed. I think it would be good to only do a 12am to 11:59pm window to send songs for the day, then it resets again at 12am so you don’t have to wait 24 hrs from the last time you sent a song to send another. Again, I love this concept, but it could be put into practice a bit better..Version: 119

✓ Slightly suspicousInteresting concept but when I got it you obviously have to log in to a music account so I logged into my spotify but shortly after I revived an email from spotify saying that it is advised I should change my password for my spotify account and then suddenly got kicked out of my account. ✓ Alright so far.I like the concept, but it’s not super practical. There’s no way to see the songs you’ve liked, so by the time I’ve swiped a few times, I’ve already forgotten the title and artist of a song I thought was good. It’s also a little overwhelming. I think there should be a cap on how many songs you can send, or maybe it should just be limited to the one song a day like BeReal. I like BeReal because there’s enough there for me to know what my friends are up to, but since it’s one picture per user once a day, it’s not overly stimulating. On that note, I wish there was a way to edit your notification preferences. ✓ New UI ruined everythingI loved this app so much and used it almost everyday to get new music from my friends and to share my songs of the day. The UI was simple and easy to navigate, but each update made the app harder to use each time. It wasn’t really a problem until they made the app look like knock off tinder, ridding the option of rating songs on a scale and instead just gave you the option of “good” or “bad”. Besides getting rid of the best part of having a music score on your profile, the app is straight up difficult to use and ugly to look at. I stopped using it once they implemented the dating app UI. I never write reviews for apps but I have suggested kiwi to do many of my friends and we all had fun sharing our music in an easy and now I’m so sad it unusable now.
