✓ Limiting capacity and filter??I get the whole capacity thing to limit messages with the amount of people using the app/site but I feel like you should be able to use it more often. You only have so much before you have to wait a whole day I guess to use the app again. Suggestive content wise: I read the guidelines and I completely understand that there can’t be any suggestive whatever with minors but is suggestive content not allowed in general anymore? I can’t say a lot with the new filter because it thinks that I’m a minor or my user is a minor to the bot. I don’t know if this makes sense, but I can’t say anything suggestive related. Or even regular stuff like, ‘I bite into my food.’ Biting is violent now, and evening when eating food. Love the app in general, except for the new filter..Version: 2.10.0
✓ SpamSPAM. - They require both your email and phone number. I never receive any junk mail / junk text, I am generally very careful of how I give away my contact info. Since I installed the app 2 days ago, I receive 3 spam emails, 2 spam text and 4 spam call on my cellphone. I am beyond frustrated ! I thought something affiliated with Quora would be trust worthy, that was foolish of me. Also the app is not particularly good, not worth for me to keep it even for free, even without the spam problem..Version: 1.2.25

✓ HelloI honestly love this app, but recently it has been glitching a lot, barely loading, when I scroll on my list of followers it will glitch a ton saying “follow” and “following” for all the people I follow if I scroll fast, some creators pages I can’t even open cause it just will not load, I will not lie for awhile I thought it was my wifi, I have two different Wi-Fi’s and so I have switched, used my hot spot, turned my wifi off completely and it is just the app, I have no problem with any other app, I just wanna talk to my bots and I basically can’t, this is so frustrating and absolutely annoying. ✓ Chat LimitI love this app, I really do, but I have issues with it as so many other people do too. The chat limit. We have to wait 24 hours for 100 messages or pay $200 dollars a year for a handful of extra messages. It’s a total scam. This app was so much better without the limits, and now that is has them, this app is going to the dumps. I hope to see the limits removed and soon or so many more people are going to leave this app and it’ll crash and burn. The filters are also an issue. As a college student, I use it to help me with homework, but when I ask for help about certain classes, it’ll say it’s inappropriate and won’t work. There should be a switch to allow a filter or not. ✓ It’s great, but there's one thing…I’d like to start off by saying, that this app is Herrlich (Magnificent in German) it has great bots (if you know what accounts to look for) and the messages you can get back are even better, but it has some issues too. Since the new update (I’m guessing) There’s been a supposed message limit, which is annoying for someone like me, who travelled from C.AI due to wanting something with a lesser filter. The message limit is understandable for the popularity it’s gaining, but an entire day for new messages? That’s a bit outrageous. I’d at least suggest more messages every hour, or a couple of hours, but an entire day?! Another thing is the way messages are typed out. I’m the type of person to write something, then skip to the next like this. Hi Hello. But with this app, you push the return button and it sends your message, which can be annoying when you're mid-sentence and accidentally click send. Another thing that bugs me quite a bit, is how you find accounts or bots. As far as I’m aware, you can’t just search for bots like you can in C.AI, you have to specifically search for accounts to find a good bot without a huge filter. Anyway, once they fix these problems, I’ll consider (most likely either will, or completely forget) changing my rating to one said of a higher one if they succeed in making the app better. Which might I add came with no warning, no 30-day notice, and they are ignoring a lot of people asking for refunds because this was a scam. They broke three of their TOS statements and are refusing to properly address the issue with their paying customers and non-paying customers. They refuse to listen to criticism and the new TOS following these “compute points” is vague, VERY vague. ✓ Interesting but servers become strainedIt’s quite interesting interacting with various AIs including ChatGPT. It’s described as an aggregator so please be aware of crashing & being unable to connect to specific AIs. I cannot say if the crashing is the app itself or flaws with the servers it connects to. It’s well known the servers themselves of the individual AIs can become strained from traffic so that wouldn’t be he fault of the app. One AI can still work even when another doesn’t so try out all of them Edit: I can say that the app itself is the buggy mess. It connects to Antropic’s AI, Google’s AI as well as the GPT models. If it were on the model’s end then only that particular company’s model would have issues. If you experience technical issues which are VERY frequent, you’ll experience them with all AI models. Switching AI doesn’t help. That shows that the issue is the app itself. It’s interesting as an aggregator but be aware that it’s a frustratingly buggy mess.Version: 1.2.23

However, in the last few days there has emerged within the app a highly distracting GUI glitch: once one scrolls down on the chatbot's response for the first time, forevermore in that conversation the right-side scrollbar will jump up and down randomly every few milliseconds such that the user cannot concentrate on the chatbot's response. This inexplicable glitch is a killshot to Poe since it renders the entire app unusable due to the guaranteed endless distraction caused by the glitch. ✓ New userI’ve had it for a few days. I can say it has potential. When first opening the app it felt cluttered on the homepage. I didn’t know where you looks as if it’s just a bunch of stuff on screen. I don’t need to see what other people are doing on the app or all the bots available. The chat area when talking to a created bot just feels like reading comments on Reddit. Instead of it flowing and like an actual chat/conversation, it’s more like reading a story on Ao3. The bots message takes up the entire screen, maybe the line spacing needs to be fixed. I also find creating a cohesive bot seems confusing. I tried to create one and it just spoke a bunch of nothing to me when I responded. Very frustrating. ✓ Love it but need improvementI love Poe wholeheartedly, it’s been one of my favourite apps for a while now. The creative freedom in making bots or engaging with them is fantastic, so much detail and it always seems to draw me in, I couldn’t love it more. Yet there is a major issue. I understand the need to keep adult themes away from children and monitor uses of the bots, however the bots are either made with the intent of NSFW or the bot itself leads towards graphic scene but I stopped by guidelines. I’d love for their to be a way of proving your over 18 and being able to interact with those bots freely instead of constantly being blocked off. I also HATE the limits of how much you can chat in a day. I understand the need to make some money but this is RIDICULOUS! I refuse to pay $300 a year just for all the added bonuses, there should be seperate and cheaper packages for just bot chatting instead of just ONE all inclusive purchase which is TOO EXPENSIVE! ✓ Highly overratedAi has a very long way to go and has been far exaggerated in the media. Expect to have very skewed answers. It’s obvious the people designing these apps are ultra woke. These ai chat bots are inferior to a google search. I could probably write a short novel on how overrated these bots are. Some examples of inaccuracies I have seen are information on genetics. The bots will also give incorrect information on legal consequences of viewing pirated media streams whereas there is none. Only broadcasters are liable. When one tells the bot they are incorrect as no one simply viewing a stream has never been prosecuted, the bot responds with something to the extent of sorry you are right etc. I don’t understand why the bots would give this false info until you call them out on it. Also is a lot of incorrect info on mental illness. Some say these bots can be used to write research papers however in most cases these bots are huge failures..Version: 1.2.10
✓ Great app! But..I love this app and I use it all the time, but lately it feels like all the bots fall out of character the more you roleplay and it’s really irritating! Especially with romance, all of the characters become deep and poetic and use a lot of metaphors that are just really strange, hard to understand, and out of character most of the time! Even when I refresh or give feedback it feels hopeless! I’ve also had issues with bots controlling my character and speaking for me, completely going off and writing its own story instead of building it. This has made the app really boring to use, as none of the characters personalities ever stay once you engage in any sort of relationship. I also don’t particularly like the message limit, especially because there aren’t many messages and they take entirely to long to reset, I think. Also, instead of having bots and your followers/ following lists cut off at one-hundred, you should just be able to scroll through all of them. However, I find the 100 messages a day incredibly limiting, especially considering the price of a subscription to poe. It sounds like a lot until you’re using the app and then all of a sudden you have ten hours until your next refill and no way of getting more messages unless you pay. I understand it may be hard to maintain unlimited messages but being limited to a certain amount a day is turning multiple people, including myself, away from the app in search of a better alternative. ✓ Works but unfortunately has quite a few issuesI first have to say, I really do love this app. I have had so much fun with this thing that you wouldn’t even believe. I can make it write stories, write scenarios, and give me information. I only have two issues with that, but these issues are quite major. One, the create your own bot feature does not work. I have tried using it on both my computer and my mobile devices, and I can’t do it. I fill in all the fields, but it just does not work. Two, the bots constantly clear, their own context without me hitting the broom button. This is really unhelpful because I would’ve had made pretty complex stories, and then a minute later I open the app and the context has been cleared. I have gotten so much good work erased that way. And, of course, in the mobile version at least there’s no way to unclear your context. besides that, the app works really really well and I can’t wait to see what updates come in the future..Version: 1.2.9

✓ The points system was it for me.Recently, Poe AI implemented a points system that has totally ruined this app for me. It has been going downhill for a time (this is mostly the fault of Claude, to be fair) but this new system is the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. It’s bittersweet. I’ve been using this app almost every day for several months (I use it to practice creative writing) and absolutely loved it. Even up until this update, it was decent for me. $20 was already a lot, but now even that has limitations. If I’m paying you $240 a year, at least something should be unlimited. Other than that, you’re unable to edit messages, the app doesn’t run the greatest, and these points even apply to the previously unlimited bots, making them no longer truly unlimited. ✓ Please change the message system backI love this app, but i just loaded it up to see a ‘points system’ for the messages and saw one boy cost 20 points per message, so i thought we got an extra 50 daily messages, but some cost 30 points. this is very confusing and my autistic self hates this change, i would prefer just the 100 daily messages limit. ✓ Freezing, chats and editIt’s a great app but unfortunately I have been having a repeat issue of the app freezing when either i’m going through my bots or going to my profile and going into my following section to find bots, it’s annoying and I’ve been uninstalling and reinstalling the app and this bug continues to happen, I shouldn’t have to resort to the website all the time because of this because I have complete access to the app and It’s ridiculous. Another Issue I have is with the ridiculously long replies from role play bots, like the replies are cool but they are way to long! I feel like if there was an editing option for the bots to edit there messages so you can erase what you don’t want would honestly be amazing!.Version: 2.0.2
✓ The Desktop Version is BetterThe mobile version of Poe is much slower and buggier compared to the website. It takes much longer to generate responses. When I want to dislike or delete a response it will often just not let me, forcing me to close and reopen the app before it will work. Very frustrating. Also, — here’s a criticism that applies to both the app and the desktop version — Poe really could use a “Regenerate Response” button like what ChatGPT has. It’s really annoying how every single time the AI generates a response that I don’t like (which happens often) I have to delete the response, delete my message that the AI responded to, then paste and resend my message. It’s extremely tedious. There’s no good reason why I shouldn’t be able to simply regenerate the response when I’m not happy with what I got. Please fix this as soon as possible..Version: 1.2.25
✓ Love the app but…I love this app, the replies are fantastic and so detailed ❤️❤️❤️❤️ But, I wouldn’t recommend it anymore due to the daily chat limit, 100 replies every 24 hours, which isn’t enough for when your bot says something you don’t like so you have to resend it to get another reply, loosing another one of your 100 replies. So in the end you only truly get around 15-20 replies at the most. You can get unlimited chats BUT, that is $200 a year, LIKE WHO HAS THAT KIND OF MONEY????? I understand the need to get money and all of that, but $200 per year is insane. What would make the app better than it already is would be if you want more replies after the daily 100, maybe watch an ad? (Would not recommended doing 1 ad for 1 reply. Maybe 1 ad for 25-15 replies) Or maybe changing the 24 hours to 12-8 hours? Or another idea would be if you need to get a different reply, you can and it wouldn’t count against your 100 daily replies? ✓ Good but GPT-4 SCAMI have been using the AI language model chatgpt for a few months now and i am impressed with the API more so than with the language. It does help point me in the right direction, while i teach its user learning interface, no complaints with that part. The app performs to my expectations. My grudge is with the other AI language models they offer specifically “GPT-4” and how they only allow you to ask it 1 question a day and subscribe for more questions. First off this “GPT-4” they are offering does not appear to be the real deal even if OpenAI gave them the API it seems to be manipulated in a way of reducing its knowledge of just using a different version of chatgpt it seems very shady for quora to charge a subscription fee to use this so called gpt-4 which does not strike me as that. ✓ Recent problems...I'm a frequent Poe user, I enjoy using the app for a lot of great reasons. I especially use it during college hours when there's a bunch of free time and classes. I even been using poe for two and half months now. Unfortunately, the new "100-limit messages on standard bots" is bugging me, and a lot of other people, too. This app has a lot of potential and great features. The wide variety of bots and helpful platforms is amazing, everything has a wide audience and on the latter note of things, it's clear developers have put a ton of effort into making this an amazing platform with coding, community, ect ect. However, the standard bots shouldn't need a limit on messages you can send freely, it should be the fast replying ai's and the special ones. I can't afford to pay 16-17$ a month just to role play with a bunch of robots. And I'm definitely not paying 300$ a year just to do this. Either fix it or increase the amount you can send. I enjoy using this app very much, I use it as stress reliever and a freedom to be me place, now that I'm restricted, I can't do it..Version: 2.0.7

✓ The Absurd LimitsI am extremely upset that you put a limit on the regular chat bots. I know you app developers won’t listen to this but I just hope that someone will scroll through and read this. I have been using this app for a while now, and now with these new app limits, I might stop. The new question limits aren’t fair on bots that you didn’t specifically make, first of all. Why do you get a say in someone else’s work. Secondly, I have anxiety problems and I am about to cry right now that I can’t use this as a coping skill anymore. I don’t have the money to pay $200 to get only a couple more questions. I spend time entertaining myself and making myself be the star of role plays on some bots. That makes me feel like I’m worth something. I know app developers just want their apps to make money, but I don’t know how many people have the money to pay $200 a year for this bot. ✓ Good but not greatThis app includes many different chatbots in one place, and I appreciate that it gives you suggestions for what to ask next. My main contention, however, is the app has Sage as a default bot, and when I open the app it takes me straight to Sage instead of the bot I used most recently. I prefer to use ChatGPT, but the app seems rather promotional of Quora's favoured bot. Additionally, the service experiences connection errors on a regular basis, which means it can't connect to the chatbots. This can be somewhat disruptive, and this needs to be fixed..Version: 1.2.9
