✓ Best app for my medical practiceI am a practicing pediatrician. I have been using Epocrates for over 20 years. It is the by far the most useful application for me that I have. I use it daily for Pediatric dosings and indications. It is speedy and easy to navigate. I also appreciate many of the sub features. For example, I have been able to use the pill identifier program to help families discover the identity of an extra pill in their pill dispense box..Dr Ted BVersion: 21.12

✓ Long time user - resent problemsI have used this app for years, first when it was on a Palm Pilot. It has always been so useful. However in the last year it is less responsive, I can’t get the cursor to appear at the search line. I have to keep restarting it. The news keeps popping up when I’m in a hurry (during patient care). ✗ Greedy bunchAs a mostly retired but still licensed physician, I used Epocrates regularly to double check drug side effects and dosage, especially with new drugs. I also relied on several modules to confirm symptoms and to seek best courses of diagnosis. Suddenly, without any warning, my full subscription that I normally paid two years in advance became a lower tier were I lost many aspects I had already paid for. Now the want an upgrade, it is not that much, but it is the principle. I paid for a full subscription, and I should continue to receive what I paid for until my next subscription date. Anything else is a violation of the contract I entered into when I bought the subscription..Wheezer MDVersion: 22.5.2

✗ Keep paying for zero accessI get Epocrates plus access through my institution, but after repeated frustrations trying to log in through the library, I caved and bought a subscription for myself thinking that would improve the apps recognition of my credentials. Wrong! My monthly subscription credentials never materialized. After trying to log in on every email I could think of all summer long, I bought a new subscription thinking maybe I was nuts. Nope, still zero access. Have poured nearly $300 (come on, that’s a lot for a grad student) into this resource and am no better off than I was going for free through my library. Come on, Epocrates.
