Texas Hold’em for Negative User Reviews

Could be so much betterThe basic premise is good - no limit Hold’em tournaments varying from 1-4 tables. The bigger ones have bigger buy-ins (no money involved). It’s offline so the other players are all run by computer algorithms. However, they don’t give you enough chips considering how aggressive and ridiculous the players are. Not only do they make big bets with 3-4 or 4-7, more often than not these junk hands win against A-A, K-K, or A-K. This is not sour grapes - I’ve played hundreds of 4 table games and I finish in the top 3 in about 33%. It’s just ridiculous when someone goes all-in early with junk and beat your pocket K’s..Version: 2.1

TerribleDeleted before finishing even one game. I hate the way it keeps screening to each players to see their reactions and can’t even see the full table..Version: 2.1

Drives me Crazy!!Drives me Crazy!! I started against 8 other players; I beat them down to only 3 players left; I think great, I’ve got a chance to win against 3 players- then suddenly - out of nowhere - they bring (...DUMP....) another 5 NEW players to the table and I have to ‘start from scratch’ AGAIN ! - playing 8 players again like I’m back at the beginning! After all the effort to win down to the last 3 players. So annoying! So only 1 star. I wish they’d fix it then I would give them 5 stars because it’s very classy, great player animations, fast: and would be really enjoyable if only they wouldn’t ‘slap you back down’ just when you think you might beat the last 3 players and win! (Incidentally this is the first app review I have done). Please fix it if you can!.Version: 2.1

No ConsistencyThe game has no consistency, which is annoying. I recently played a game where the prior deal split money between 2 players with 1 equal card, despite the fact I had a better 2nd card. However, the literal next deal had the same situation and awarded all the money to the player who had what I had held the prior hand and it knocked me out of the game. I have also played numerous games where the game will split the pot on a hand where one player may have a certain hand (ex. 1 pair), but the next has a better hand (ex. 2 pair, 3 of a kind, full house, etc). The lesser hand gets a couple hundred dollars, and the better hand gets the remainder. The better hand should always win it all. Every poker rule book will tell you that. Game should be a lot better than it is. I will say the “entry fee” part is also a bit ridiculous. Most fees double (50, 100, 200) before going from $500 to $2000..Version: 2.1

Bad TiltThis rating is based on the single player mode, going up against AI bots. The game is great as far as a very clean interface, smooth flow, easy to read - and no ads. The bug is in the programming - whereas, in an all-in showdown, an AI opponent will beat you on the river 19 out of 20 times; regardless of how strong your starting hand is - or how weak theirs is. In one game, with all other opponents already eliminated - the lone remaining bot beat me on the river on 3 separate occasions. I had a huge chip lead - he was all-in on each of these occasions with 2-4 unsuited, ultimately pulling a back door straight; including the last one that took me out. These are not just random bad beats ; it needs to be fixed. It’s totally unrealistic. It wasn’t always like this; and perhaps it’s only the room I’m in (Paris). When I first started I quickly progressed through the lower level rooms; and even in Paris I was winning my fair share - for some reason though, at some point it just tilts this way - and once it does - there’s nothing you can do. It’s pointless..Version: 2.1

Il y a de la triche !!L’algorithme de la distribution de de carte est répétitif. Merite un peu plus de tanval en profondeur au sujet du codage. Bref les salles sont belles mais le jeu est « fake ».Version: 2.1

Good game horrible algorithmI really enjoy the game but the algorithm is horrible. Very little reality in the game almost to the point you can anticipate what is going to happen. Example: player will move all for 50k only leaving 3k behind...when this happens push all in and the bot will fold. Another example: The bots will also call an all in with no draw and no pairs only to runner runner 2 pair. Once again, it’s a good game but would be better if more realistic algorithm was applied. If you can’t win at this game you have no reason playing poker at all. You can anticipate the moves of the bots. Went from 0 to 110 million +. I’ll keep playing until I get to 1 billion. Maybe another level after Macau would be good!.Version: 2.0

Good Learning App… but it could be way better.Three main suggestions : 1) it would be very helpful to provide a way to review or walk through the logic of payouts in cases when there are multiple pots & eligible winners… current state goes through it too fast and makes it harder to understand the split logic… especially when you think you should have won at least a part of the total money. 2) improving on the color coded hand strength to include a percentage of the likelihood of a winning hand based on what is in a player’s pocket + community cards would be better than coloration. 3) it would be helpful to save the history of a game from all players’ perspectives to review afterward. This would help players see/learn where they need to strengthen decision making based on what other players are seeing and doing in playing their hands..Version: 2.1

Needs betting infoThis app has a major flaw: no explanation of the betting and payout structure. I Googled Texas Hold Em “how to play” and there are several variations. I can’t fingered out why sometimes the pot is split between two or more players. I’ve had instances where both myself and another player had two pair and sometimes the pot splits and other times it doesn’t. I also don’t get all the blinds, checking, etc. The graphics and interface are great though. Very enjoyable to play..Version: 2.1

Way too HardI used to play this game when it first came out in the App Store and I was really excited to see it come back. Now, it’s impossible to get up to the highest table. Once you get to a higher table, have to beat nearly 40 people to win. I don’t mind playing more people, but they should do it like the old way. If you are in the top 3, you make it to the next table and start fresh. When they send people in now, they often come in with double the money you have. And that doesn’t even start to talk about the extreme luck of the cpu. Countless times getting beat on the river card when I have a good hand. Both of these problems make it nearly impossible to win. Just make it the way it used to be, or at least give the option. This game is absolutely awful since they switched it….Version: 2.1

Impossible to beatWould give it a zero if i could. Played it for several days. I’ll admit the game play can be addicting but it ultimately becomes too frustrating when you realize there is no way to win. Early in a game you can gain some momentum. Once it gets late and there are only a few players left, opponents get incredible hands and start betting outrageous totals. You’re always tempted to call their bluff but their never bluffing. Their hands will always beat yours late in the game. I dont care what your cards are, they will always have a better hand. Completely impossible to win this game..Version: 2.1

Enjoyable but I think it’s fixedI noticed a pattern, so decided to record the statistics: in a marginal game between me and one or two other AI players, where say we both have a good two cards (eg. Q&J suited or A&10) and we are both looking for the flop to create a pair, the AI player gets what they need and I don’t. This happened 24 times in a row. Could be coincidence but makes me think it’s fixed and reduced my enjoyment..Version: 2.1

It’s freeThe best part is that this game is free to play, and there are no ads! But, the competition (AI) is far from realistic. Pre-flop cards are mostly awful, and when you do get a decent pre-flop, most of the other players will fold. Very often another player stays in with absolutely terrible cards, and bets them, even though the flop gives them nothing at all, but guess what? Yup, they end up winning on the last card. Anybody that bet so recklessly in real life wouldn’t stand a chance. It’s frustrating, but hey, it’s free. You might win the whole table 1 in 8 tries. Good luck!.Version: 2.1

Opponents’ betting is super buggy in the re-release.I have seen both of the following betting bugs several times in this re-release (when I didn’t in the original), the second one rather frequently: 1. Opponents who are still in the hand, even though their chip stack says $0 before the hand starts. They can win the pot if they get the right cards. 2. Opponents who “raise” with a call. This one happens frequently! It’s so frustrating. Player to my left raises for $8,000. Okay. Player to his left calls for $8,000. Okay. Next player “raises” to $8,000 – not another $8k, the same $8k! That’s a bug. If I simply call, the original raiser will often raise again, when that’s not legal and blows my entire strategy of playing within my range..Version: 2.1

RubbishGames crashes about every two minutes, wait for the fixed version..Version: 0

River river riverUpdate: Deleting app. Played another game after writing this review and the bad beats just seemed worse. It’s a shame that these developers have no idea how to program this. Has the potential to be great but unfortunately it’s not. I have never seen so many rivers in all my decades of playing poker. This game could be great if the geniuses would fix the river wins. I counted a few times after I’ve been rivered and have rivered multiple times. 75% of the hands in a game were one on the river. That’s just ridiculous. Also, who goes all-in or calls an all-in with 72 off? Or K3 off. I know, the “CPUs” in this game. Fix these issue and you will have a much better game..Version: 2.1

Deteriorates with TimeAs time goes by the game seems to change so that the other players go all in more and more frequently. This eventually makes a game impossible to win as you either have to win multiple all in hands, or you have to sit out too many hands and then the blinds eventually kill you off. In general the cards of the all in players, don’t make sense for the circumstances, but then another player who followed along pulls a 1 in 50 card and wins..Version: 2.1

Interface is decent the AI is rubbishTerrible AI, and highly slopped towards when it willlet you win. Also the precedent of hands seems to magically go out at random times, you can have a straight and will give pot to AI player with 2 pair..Version: 2.1

Great game but needs an updateYou can tell it’s aged and especially on iPhone 13 pro you can tell it wasn’t made for the screen. Cool game with no ads etc so it would be cool if it got a refresh.Version: 2.1

Looks great, plays great, lousy computer opponentsFirst-person view looks impressive, but for serious play I had to rotate to the top-down view. I like the ability to skip the animations by tapping the screen - this really speeds up the play. The fatal flaw here is the computer opponents. They're as dumb as a bag of hammers. Nothing resembling realistic play. Disappointing because the rest of the game is very well done..Version: 0

PoorYou can’t see how many players you’re playing against, what position you’re in, how many chips each player has or what the pot size is. How can you play the game properly without that information? It just doesn’t work..Version: 2.1

SucksThis is not an app to learn how to play poker... waste of time.Version: 2.1

Betting by Bots unrealistic.I’ve been using this App for a while because it’s the one of the few multi player with good graphics. That said the algorithm is not very realistic. Very high bets on small pots with highly improbable starting winning hands. Big and small blinds consistently have foldable hands against, again, improbable betting with small pots. And finally consistent bad beats, again, with improbable starting hands. The game is easily beaten by bypassing 90% of early bets and after half the Bots have been eliminated. A middle or higher pair or an Ace with a face card is a minimum after half of the Bots are eliminated. Risker bets are better played when only 3 players are left to play guaranteeing at least a third place finish. Updated - not even close to probable betting based on hand to pot probability. This app isn’t even worth the one star because of an unrealistic betting algorithm. Very high bets on small pots with highly improbable starting winning hands. Big and small blinds consistently have foldable hands against, again, improbable betting with small pots. And finally consistent bad beats, again, with improbable starting hands..Version: 2.1

Algorithme compliquéBien fait mais très compliqué de gagner selon les algorithmes.Version: 2.1

Is this game rigged???Am I playing against people who work on the game as there are nine on a table yet I must play at least 30 or do games before I get a chance to win. Just now 5 consecutive games top left hand corner won every one of this games first or second round meaning some games they didn’t enter first found why the same position for so many games one after the other.Version: 2.1

LuckyNot a bad game but having played it up to the Macau level I find it very frustrating the number of times my opponent hits the winning card on the river with less than 4 outs !!!!!!.Version: 2.1

Most rigged gameTurn and river cards are extremely rigged especially when ur all in.Version: 2.1

A literal conWell for starters, it asks you every 10 mins for a review even after you’ve given one. You want a review? Ok, you asked: Starting with the good, it’s fast. Almost as fast as the user. The UI is pretty good, also. This makes for a more engrossing experience. That’s about it for the pros. The biggest con is that you know them you’re only one of two people at the table, as the opposing player will raise a ridiculous amount at every hand from there on out. This means that unless you’re dealt a killer hand, it become a mind-numbing exercise in folding over and over and over and over and over again until it’s all but certain they will play well enough to match a ceiling-high bid. No excuses developers, this is lazy, shoddy craftsmanship. A LITERAL CON..Version: 2.1

Good game but......not realistic and ....cheating!This game is pleasant but unfortunately it is not realistic. Your virtual opponents (computer) are completely nuts with 7 and 2 they can go all in or betting high with nothing in their hands. You can always go all in and you have a good chance to win. Moreover it is cheating when you have a good hand 2 kings or 2 aces you will loose because someone will get 3 of a kind or a flush etc... It is amazing the number of times I lost against rigged hand. This at the end becomes frustrating and therefor I gave up playing with it..Version: 2.1

Annoying popupStop asking me to review your app with popups. If I wanted to do it I would have done it the first time you asked.Version: 2.0

Bad gameJust so so so bad. Don’t bother.Version: 2.1

90% sure it’s riggedThis app makes what is normally a fun and fair game infuriating and mind numbing through a few ways. The AI first off go consistently 10x blind pre flop, which is absurd and forces you to fold anything other than suited courts, pockets, or ace and court most of the time. These AI also mysteriously know exactly when to chase a flush or straight and when to fold, almost always pumping up terrible hands at the turn only to be saved by the river what feels like 75% of the time. Worst time this happened to me was when the ai called my all in with an unsuited 4&6 against my pocket kings with king on flop and won the straight on river. The player also never seems to get a good hand either, with some other ai getting pockets in a row and never having a hand worse than a pair by flop. Bad luck is maybe getting 6 or 7 unplayable hands in a row, not 18 rounds of unsuited garbage. It’s a very rigged game with AI that almost definitely know the future and have X-ray vision, with consistently better luck than the player to the point of statistical anomaly. Avoid at all costs!.Version: 2.1

Looks good that’s about itGame consistently deals bad cards. What ever algorithm they use for dealing is the worst that I have seen in any porker game. Unplayable hands are consistently dealt. Have even had the same cards dealt after folding. Very frustrating game because of the bad ring..Version: 2.1

Don’t waste your time! You lose every hand on the river to a hand that shouldn’t have been playing in the first place! Worst Texas Holdem game ever!.Version: 2.1

GamblingHMy name is Karen and I would like to say that this game teaches young children to gamble.Version: 2.1

Friend gamingShould be internet, not just wifi..Version: 2.1

Huge disappointmentI expected better from apple. No better than any other and worse than some. I didn’t pay for the game and I still think apple should be sued for fraud. Bets that make no sense. Hands that should/would never get played turn into winners for the AI. AI gets a ridiculous number of full houses. Be careful if you play live poker. This app will ruin your perspective. In this game, folding every hand until you’re down to the last 3 or4 players is actually a viable strategy . Try that live. In fact, just play video poker in stead. You don’t expect realistic play from it..Version: 2.1

What’s the point? You only released 1 of the old classic games like really what’s the point of it you should release all of the old classic games again very disappointed that there wasn’t more of the games besides this game. Feels like lack of focus and lack of development to not put out all of them again..Version: 2.0

Really poorCan’t understand the love for this game. Its awful. The betting is absurd and the proliferation of hands is ridiculous. I’ve literally never played poker where I’ve had to go all in just to see the flop so many times at around three hands in. Could be good. Just isn’t..Version: 2.1

It’s waist of your timeThis is the worst game application I ever used... Don’t waist your time ...Version: 2.1

Fold fold fold can’t winPlayed game had to fold every hand let bots play they always got better hands finally got second place by folding every hand went to next game had to fold every hand got all junk cards while bots got great hands finally got a straight queen high lost everything to a Ace high straight really! if I got a ace high straight the game would let the bots get four of a kind it’s very hard to like the game even if you try to bluff by getting a pair of two one bot will go all in with nothing just a queen high will still lose when the dealer deals the card bot will get 3of a kind there is no way to win.Version: 2.1

Terribly riggedYou are completely up against it in this game, you will have a very strong hand and almost every time the AI will pull out a full house or a 4 of a kind…..it’s a free to play game so I don’t know why they would make it so miserable to play. Awful game..Version: 2.1

Rarely winLoved this game first time round but now, you just can’t win! You get a full house, they’ll get a higher one on last card of flop! You can guess their win before it happens! Real shame!!!.Version: 2.1

Who censors the censor?I’m pretty sure there would be many more 1 star reviews for this ridiculous game app, if not for censors who block or delete those reviews. I wrote two prior reviews and the first was up for a few days, and then deleted. The other never made it. It will be interesting to see if this review is shown. Anyway, the game is not honest. Don’t expect to win with normal hold ‘em strategy. You basically have to know what each and every bot would do in certain situations. Many times they will have bad hands but still will go in and often win those hands. The program just isn’t fair..Version: 2.1

Poor/rigged bettingThe game itself and the dynamic are good but the betting by AI is completely unrealistic, small blind could be 30 and and the betting starts off at stupid high numbers all the time and on the rare occasion that it starts low and you have a decent hand I can almost guarantee the AI has something marginally better. You can’t always bet high because like on the first room you only have $1000 to start with so after a while it ruins the game.Version: 2.1

Ok game but not a realistic simulationThe npcs are pretty decent as far betting tendencies and being consistent. It is the cards I have an issue with. If you play a light hand (with slight odds advantage) and it goes to a showdown, 7/10 the npc is going to beat your hand on one of the last 2 card draws. They will pull the one card that beats you. Tells me that there is an algorithm deciding of I will win or lose as opposed to programming aimed at randomizing the cards. That throws the odds off from a real card game and makes it just a video game. If you want simulation, play the WSOP app against real people..Version: 2.1

Poor ProgrammingI gave this game a tryout for about a week until there became no question the programming is against you. Every time I held face cards the flop would be low cards, if I held low cards the flop would be face cards. I finally deleted it after a computer player went all in before the flop of all things while only holding 6/4 of different suits and somehow ended up besting my two Kings thanks to the program..Version: 2.1

25% Fun, 75% Ridiculous unrealistic Bot hands! This app could be a lot more fun if it wasn’t for the Botched programming! Really? I guess their trying to be like Vegas House? In real poker, u’ll never see as many 4 of a kinds, full houses, flushes, Etc etc! Bots betting with a 2 & 5 going all in against a pair of Aces & guess who pulls a straight every time… not me! 2 Kings-forget it, they’ll pull 2 Aces🤷‍♀️With this app, the Bots get them nearly Every hand. Bots tend to kno ur hand before u do! Most of the time I’ve gotta Lose up to 10 games before I'm allowed to win that’s how bad it gets. Has potential if it’s reprogrammed in a realistic manner. Graphics are really nice, table setting & avatars are cool too. Except for the unrealistic ridiculously So called Luck the bots have? overall a very nice programmed app. Has potential to be a 5 star app! I would NOT recommend this app for someone learning or a beginner. Way too Frustrating & jaw dropping with “Bot” Plays! Just read/see ALL the critical reviews. Or not & see for ur self. Again, app has potential to be One of the Better poker apps available if fixed accordingly!.Version: 2.1

Just a little suspiciousIf you like losing 80% of your games on the river then this is the game for you. Consistently lose your games to a player who bluffs then “miraculously “ gets a card on the river giving them a hand just good enough to beat yours. I get it that it can happen, but 8 hands out of 10 makes me wonder....Version: 2.1

RubbishI don’t understand the need to fix the hands instead of just letting it be random? I’ve played some hours and pocket aces were by far the most common hand and other strong hands were also much more common. Also the file is huge yet the multiplayer mode is incredibly slow, terrible app..Version: 2.1

Keeps Crashing!!Nice game. However the application crashes every 2 mins and is often unplayable :-(.Version: 0

Could be betterCould be better if multiplayer didn’t throw you out when in the middle of a game. Why is this such a massive game 1.5GB could of shrunk it down by the removing the crap injected people in front of a green screen and replace with avatars. Game takes way to long if you play in portrait mode because of the crap acting of the injected people. All in all Apple should be reinventing to re-release this game to be playable in all modes it offers, not just re-release old crap that was good back when. It’s like re-releasing last years iPhone.Version: 2.1

Unrealistic and glitchyWow, I’ve been playing this for about 4-5 hours total (not consecutively) and I’m already sick of it. Recently got beat with pocket AA to a guy who called my all in with a Q9. Really? ALSO, the betting is extremely heavy handed. It’s one thing to bluff, but it’s another thing to constantly bet 8-10 times the amount of the big blind before the flop. A glitch I found that should have been spotted and fixed by now is if you switch your screen view by rotating your phone, don’t do it in the middle of a flop or one or two of the flop cards will stay not turned over! Really?? Then it continues to deal the turn and river with that same flop card upside down. That’s messed up. I like to start at the table view before the flop to see how many players are in the hand, then switch to the up close view once I know who’s still in. Have been messed up a few times now because of that glitch. Seems like a few easy things to fix, but others have commented on the constant heavy betting and no fix. No more..Version: 2.1

Ridiculous calls by NPCsI like the layout to this game and the functionality, however the calls that the NPCs make are just plain stupid. The straw that broke the camels back and made me write this review was a call against my two pair with a ten high. No1 in their right mind would call that. It makes winning completely unfulfilling. Also the amount of losses I get on the river are crazy to the realistic probability. I’ll be trying to find another app.Version: 2.1

Dud.Looked like a really good game, but always dropped out to home screen within 5 seconds of starting game. never got to play it. also slowed my iphone down HUGELY. made other apps (such as SMS, iPod, pictures) drop out to home screen reguarly. very frustrating. when i tried to back it up to my itunes via a sync, it froze my itunes causing me to have to force quit itunes, and it also froze my phone, causing me to have to reset it. i tried repeatedly with the same results. then, i deleted the game off iphone and iphone went back to normal. quick and reliable. pretty annoyed that i spent $6 on a dud, was looking forward to playing it. dont quite know what happened to it..Version: 0

AI was better and more realistic beforeHad this app when it originally came out and it was an excellent poker teacher. AI players bet and folded realistically and it taught me how to play in the real world profitably — with patience, position and timely aggression. Now it’s been rewired in the reboot to be ridiculously unrealistic: huge overbets and reraises from AI opponents with terrible cards, and if you call them and are ahead preflop — say you have AJ and they have k7 — they will always get the cards they need on the turn or River to beat you. Like 95% of the time. I played 150 games before I wrote this review to make sure I wasn’t just experiencing the downside of variance. In all those games I never amassed enough of a bank roll to go further than three buy ins at the Repongi level ($5K buy in), and I saw way too many heads up bad beats. Sad to say what was once the best of the AI poker apps has now become the worst..Version: 2.1

Next levelWhat’s happens when you reach and win 100k table...nothing game is over....when you have a few million it’s no challenge...why don’t you have 500k + tables up to billions...after all its play money. Then you would have a gr8 on going challenge...for now tho ..boring.Version: 2.1

Entertaining, however...I originally gave this app 5 stars the first time it came out because there wasn’t a lot out there. So Apple brings this back, but they haven’t improved it one bit. So now it’s a 2. The betting patterns are ridiculously high and unrealistic, and I can’t tell you how many times I fall victim to a bad beat. So let’s say I get an AQ, and somebody raises the blind $60. I call, and then someone else raises to $260, then it gets raised to $540. At this point, I’m going all in because I have a great starting hand, but then I get beat by K5. This does happen, don’t get me wrong, but not EVERY single hand..Version: 2.1

The other players get far too many extraordinary hands.I was looking for a good play against the computer game to enjoy (they seem hard to find) and thought this was it. At first I thought I’d finally found one, but Sadly, this turned out not the case. The play is good and the graphics enjoyable; however, the computer characters get way too many extraordinary hands. I’ve seen too many straights, not to mention straight flushes, ordinary flushes, and full houses. That just doesn’t happen in real poker. When I’m betting what should be a good hand like high three of a kind or even a flush, miraculously, the computer has a better one. It’s just not enjoyable playing against those odds..Version: 2.1

Lacks multiplayer onlineThis game is great but lacks multiplayer online like "Multiplayer Poker" for the iphone, nothig like playing people from all over the world..Version: 0

One point five gigabytesTen years on and they still don’t allow you to lock the game in landscape mode (so you can lie down and play). Engaging the rotation lock in control centre boots you back into portrait mode so they can show you the terrible 3D opponents which take up ONE POINT FIVE GIGABYTES of precious storage space. Apple should have resurrected the “Poker: Hold’em Championship” app by Glu Games which was sadly killed by iOS 11..Version: 2.0

Positive reviews are fakeThe algorithm makes it nearly impossible to win. As you progress in levels the game bets against you really hard and forces you too blind high against your odds only. Higher level games can’t last more than 2 minutes even if you fold on every single hand. It forces the money out of you. The game is not randomized. Coding is bad for whoever made the game should fix it The game actually knows who has the highest cards all the time and the bets are placed accordingly. YOU CAN NOT BLUFF IN THIS GAME. 000% bluff. The only bluffs the game ever lets you win are always tiny tiny tiny tiny pots and the ai always have the same hand A and J. Game is broken.Version: 2.1

Most unrealistic poker gameThe cpu just raises to raise, there are times pre flop where there are like 10 bets (not an exaggeration), and the cpu seems to always know when you have good cards post flop, because they will almost always check when you check, or fold even if you raise 10 dollars in a 1000 dollar pot. There are rarely pre flops that dont have 5 or more bets, and half the time the cpu has nothing, this doesnt happen in real poker games. Also i have just messed around and would go all in first hand everytime, and the amount of times the cpu hits their cards is ridiculous, you could have a cpu absolutely dominated pre flop but since they are a cpu they hit their cards. Try making an actual shuffle system, and cpus who dont 6-bet with 3-10 off suit, it would actually be an enjoyable game if it was the slightest bit realistic.Version: 2.1

Plenty of fun, but…Easily the best looking poker game out there, the UI is great and it’s just an Apple classic. That being said, it’s so very clear that it’s rigged, as the cpu players make their bets clearly knowing what the final cards will be, they don’t bet what’s on the table. You’ll regularly see another player have nothing on a flop, but go all in and end up with a flush or something by the river, baiting you into chasing what seems like a bluff. It’s one of those games that you can pull off some big hands, gets you feeling good, then basically doesn’t allow you to win, making it not feel very skill based. If it gets an AI update, it’ll be an easy 5 stars..Version: 2.1

It’s a bit like a cheesey movie...You know, the kind of movie where the gang of crooks have set up a scam game, and know what the mark (that’s you) has, what cards they will be dealt. I have had players go all in right off, have a seemingly unbeatable hand, and get wiped out because one of the bots has a higher hand that they should not have known was coming. They make bets that are a little too perfect. Apple needs to make the deals truly random. You win what seems to be a fixed percentage, and can tell when it is your turn to advance. If you play the Garage, you can accumulate quite a bit of money to pay entry fees, but you risk losing a large amount. And the bots are all rather nasty characters. They are arrogant, smug, even vulgar. If you are playing in portrait, they can be quite annoying. At least in landscape you are spared that. Please Apple, make it a realistic game. It is too predictable..Version: 2.1

Great graphics lousy gameAs per the title game graphics are great but I think the developers have spent so much time on that end that they've not worried about producing a realistic Holde'm game. The cards are not random and the game generated players bet ridiculous amounts on nothing in succession then fold when they have most of their money in the pot or stick with such random cards its crazy. Perhaps the game developers should play the game or read a few more books before going further, or even better generate a true random shuffler!.Version: 0

Missing my poker with the lads this is good but...Like other reviews with similar ratings it seems the tables are rigged. I find going all in pays its rewards too much and the level difficulty seems the same no matter how far you get. Good luck trying to get to las vegas or Macau nigh on impossible! Still don't get me wrong free and its fun until it just gets frustrating.....Version: 2.1

Poor AIPoor AI that bids too high to often; it’s like those players in real life who go all in without looking at their cards. The game is playable, but annoying. No point in playing strategically. I wanted to give it a two star rating, but bumped it up to three because of the videos of the characters your playing against, which gives it a funny feel. Not a bad game, but not good either. If this game had cost money I’d be demanding my money back, but as is it’s mediocre. I’ve played better, but also played worse..Version: 2.1

Not a great reportI love this game and was so disappointed when, upon downloading the game on my iPhone, the game kept crashing. A huge shame because the game does look really exciting and the other reviews hyped it all up that much more. One day I hope this issue will be fixed. Fingers crossed!!!.Version: 0

Waste of timeThe other players must have ace or flush or straight. Not realistic. The other players bet with all only the last card comes to make a straight or flush!! So they know what is coming..Version: 2.1

Great and TerribleInterface is terrible for playing actual hold’em. Great in that you can simulate POV of another opponent but terrible in that there’s no whole table view: who bet, who’s left in the hand? How much do the other players have in their stack? There’s no way the find out unless you tap on them during their action time. Also you have to tap to find out how much is in the pot. No experienced hold’em player would design an interface like this because the state of the opponent player(s) and the pot is fundamentally how you decide to play..Version: 2.0

Totally UnrealisticI have never lost so many high pairs to flushes and straights where the other players went all in with horrible cards that no decent player would ever go in with..Version: 2.1

UnrealisticYou will play against players who: go all-in before the river with an off suited 2/7 and win with the straight more consistently than your suited A/K will pull in the win. Everything else is beautiful but the math is f^cked..Version: 2.1

The algorithms don’t reflect real-world oddsI’ve played this game for a while now. At first, I assumed a patch would be released to fix the main issue with the game. But it has not been. This is from someone who has played over a year and amassed $82mil in earnings in the game. I’ve also played it on other iOS devices just to be sure if the mechanics there. The algorithms that determine both a) the likelihood of any given hand on each flop/action, and b) the probable response based on said flops/actions is fundamentally wrong. The average winning hand needs to be way, way too strong. Four of a kind, full houses, straights, and flushes are way too common. I am not exaggerating that a three-of-a-kind will rarely be the winning hand. And some of the player actions are just crazy stupid/lucky. When I play other apps or in person, I have to mentally adjust how I play. I will fold nine out of 10 hands in this app that I would play on the real world. This visuals are fine, and while there certainly are glitches, those don’t cause any major issues..Version: 2.1

Really bad pokerApp is cool, but the AI has some really stupid ranges. I’ve had a couple of preflop all ins against T4s that would never happen in any scenario. Also, open raise sizings are weird from AI..Version: 2.1

Listen up...As a game developer, I see the issue quite clearly. The algorithms are highly faulty, the Random distribution of cards is faulty, the computer bots follow the same dynamic protocol when bets are made, and no matter if you bet a 10 dollar bet or bet 100 BB’s, the bot has a unique insight to post flop hole cards, and 68% of all community cards, will favor the bot unless you value bet and the bot will fold. On our 6 games, we certified RNG, have fair card distribution and utilize no bots. For detailed information, visit 888Poker, Fulltilt poker, KashPoker and request developer packet #5, which is our online Emagazine which is free. I give a 2 star rating due to the fact this app has a lot of work to go until it becomes a POKER app..Version: 2.1

DevI had a Queen and a 9 of spades. My opponent had a Jack of spades and some other number card of hearts. The flop had 4 spades across it out of 5. The app gave the flush winnings to my opponent. Devastated..Version: 2.1

Good graphics - massive bet sizing issuesThe game itself is fun and I like the mechanics of it, however the AI play nothing close to how a real player would. The main issue is the bet sizing, for example say there is 300 in the pot, a normal raise would usually be anywhere between 1/3 pot to pot size bet but the computer comes in with ridiculous bets like 2500. Same with pre flop betting, blinds could be 25/50 and the opener raises 30bb completely unrealistic (in most situations), making you have to play super tight or super loose. Fix the bet sizing and you’ll have a really good app..Version: 2.1

Same ol pokerEvery poker game I download seems like the computer knows the cards before they flip. At first I thought I was being paranoid. But then I paid close attention. The first 3 cards were 2,4,7 and the computer went all in. And I was puzzled because it wasn’t a flush and I had a pair of kings. Then the flop and river flipped and it was a 3 and a 6. The computer had a 5 and a jack. The next time the cards were 3♠️ , k♦️, 9♠️and I had a pair of queens. The computer went all in for a total of $3,000+. The flop and river were a 2♠️ and k♠️ computer ends with a flush having a 5♠️ and a 7❤️. When I first got to the cruise ship the first 5 hands were last card flushes whenever I had the winning pair going into the flop. It’s an entertaining game, but when you start going to different levels your cards are horrible. The skill of the computer doesn’t grow. They just give them high cards constantly. Or will bait you in knowing the other players know what’s coming next. The logic should be to keep the cards random and have the computer learn how to manage their cards better as you go on. It’s not a complete deal breaker as i stated before, all poker games do this. Even some spades games also. Aside from this - the game is solid. you can tell the developers wanted to produce a great game. Once/if this gets fixed I will return and upgrade to 5 stars..Version: 2.1

AwefulJust pure junk. Do not download..Version: 2.1

All-in Outcome BUG/FLAWEVERY SINGLE TIME you are left one on one with a cpu player at the table & they call your All-in or vice versa, YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTIME. Typically they either win by having a flush (happened 4 times in a row) or the river card card gives them the higher hand when you both have a pair (happened multiple times). This bug is laughable & ridiculous..Version: 2.1

NonsenseWhile it may look good , the single player game only shows you the detail of hands whilst you participate . For any other hands only the final result is shown. This is idiotic - no ability to observe the progress of bidding prevents any understanding of players’ MO. It’s a pain in the backside.Version: 2.0

Could be a lot better with honest simplicityWas disappointed that the cards weren’t shown after each play as a newb its not useful as you can’t see how players aside from yourself won..Version: 2.0

Just terribleThis algorithm is such garbage… thanks but no thanks.Version: 2.1

Redoing my review bc the Flush problem is just too annoyingOld review: This is a real fun app, I play it all the time on single player. BUT, I have to question the algo's behind the card generation. Doesn't appear to be a simple random number generator. If you add up all the times a flush is dealt, it appears way to higher than what would be statistically possible. I've played hundreds of games so far so would expect it by now to replicate the true odds of getting a flush but the amount of times on a big hand I've both won and lost (especially lost, d'oh!) because a flush comes up on the river, seems far to frequent. Still heaps of fun and highly recommended. New Review: I only play the single player on this app and have played well over a thousand games, plus I play poker beyond this app pretty regularly. The frequency of Flushes in this game wrecks it. And not just the fair enough 3 community cards and two suited hold cards combo. 4 suited community careds comes up far too often, far more than probabilities should permit. It's so frustrating!!!!!! Recommend trying a different poker app, especially given the price of this one..Version: 0

Bad newsThis is the only game of poker I’ve seen where a pair of queens is sometimes better than a pair of aces. It allows you to win for a while until your bank is in reasonable balance then every hand is a loser including the winning ones..Version: 2.1

Good game. Few glitchesI am 100% blind, and the fact that this game is fully accessible is really awesome! The only problem is there is a few glitches. For example, when I first start the game and play for a few minutes or so the game plays really good. I get nice random hands that I can play off of. After a while of playing it seems like it stops giving me random hands, and it starts giving me one high card and one low card every time. I tested this by folding every time, and it happened at least 18 times in a row before I just quit. Another glitch seems to be when I actually do win, the game simply won't let me collect my earnings or continue to the next screen. Sometimes it will literally kick me out of the game completely. Other times it will keep my same cards, it will let me bet, then it tells me who wins. Then it just repeats. I have played this game in both Portrait, and landscape mode. I have an iPhone 13 that's only one year old, so I doubt it's my phone. Thank you for reading my review..Version: 2.1

Great interface. Poor AIThe other players play like total bingo players. Very poor AI. Does the standard “everyone folds pre flop when you have good hole cards”. If they improved to make it more realistic this would be good as the interface is very cool..Version: 2.1

A jokeSingle player is pathetic and multiple player doesn’t work. Garbage app.Version: 2.1

Jeu plateAucun sens ne suis aucune logique il y a tjrs des relance ceci est insensée!! Le pire jeu que j’ai essayé dommage puisque le reste image et autre très beau!!.Version: 2.1

Stay Away!Love the game play, the graphics, no ads. However the programming is horrendous. I’ve lost on the river card 63 times and won 7 times I’ve gone all in (it’s actually a lot more than that but I started keeping track after I saw how often it happened.) I’ve either got the worst luck in the world or there is some funky programming. To add to that, almost all of those have been losing to a much worse hand. The programming clearly is not random which takes away some of the fun of the game Note: After reading many other reviews I realized it’s not me. The bots are truly programmed against you in an unrealistic fashion. I guess the developers don’t read the reviews because clearly they have not fixed the issue Update: I finally had to delete the game after it became so ridiculous. Losing on the river 75 times and winning 7, consistently losing to much worse hands (last straw was losing three in a row, the last was pair Q to 8-4; two before that was pair K to 3-7 - hit flush on river card), and when suited flopped entirely opposite color 85% of the time. Edit - I downloaded this again to see if the problem had been fixed. Nope my first game I got beat on the river three times in a row..Version: 2.1

It’s faultyI’ve been playing game and liked it , but then a right few times I’ve 1 hands and gives it till somebody else🤬like I had 2 pair and give it till somebody that had only 1 of my pairs.Version: 2.1

OverratedGame is rubbish, hands that are dealt - laughable people..Version: 2.1

Good game, but loses enjoyment with codingTwo major problems are: (1) persistently “rebalances the table” with no corresponding increase in original value of 1st, 2nd, 3rd place wins; (2) significant inconsistency in a multiple raise ‘traps’, based on the value of the online player ‘s hand (ie, game players repeatedly make baseless raises, until the online player is all-in, and then simply fold as if working as a team to beat the online player! (Later) I’m going to replace this game with another! I know it sounds stupid, but every time I get down to 2-3 opponents, the game injects an artificially meaningless “Rebalancing the table” and I’m back to 8 opponents. I feel like throwing my phone and frequently just dump my chips and start over. This feature really ruins an otherwise great game!!.Version: 2.1

JokeI have never seen so many high hands from the computer players. It’s ridiculous how many times very low hands end up beating your strong hands. This game should be avoided at all costs. It’s no fun and a complete waste of time..Version: 2.1

GregTerrible simulation of realistic poker. Will rarely let you win when you play according to what you would in a real live game. For ex: when you draw pocket Aces with a third ace on the flop, invariably the computer players manage to consistently get a flush or full house to win. Another common issue: Over 80% of the time, you’ll draw low cards with higher card flops or if you occasionally get high cards or pocket kings/ aces but the flop is almost always very low cards. Very untypical of real poker. Interface and graphics are nice however. Just an unrealistic gameplay experience. Wish they would fix and update.Version: 2.1

MultiplayerMultiplayer does not work.Version: 2.1

Bet sizing is stupidJust trying to have some casual games, and the A.I will go from a $40 bet to like $300. Just completely ruins the fun as what’s the point? Who would play such huge bets literally all the time? Also the hands are crazy. My second game in there was a 4 way straight tie?.Version: 2.1

Not to badGraphics are good but it's painfully slow.Version: 2.1

Great graphics but very buggyApple really need to release an update for this game. Whilst the gfx & sfx are top notch. The blatent cheating & game bugs sour the experience. Eg: the number of times I've placed 2nd or 3rd only to not be paid is at least a dozen. Plus how can someone with a weaker hand than yours get a share of the pot? Then there's the inconsistant opponent bet/pot winning, sometimes they will raise a bet and win the pot + the raise, other times they'll win only the pot - it's quite bizarre. C'mon Apple lift your game & release an update to fix all the bugs to this potentially great game..Version: 0

Like it butMultiplayer is non existent and I’m positive the cards are dealt unfavourable to the player. Also the emojis are incredibly annoying, why not just keep it straight poker..Version: 2.1

Not realisticThis app is pretty silly. The amount of hands you will lose to the most improbable plays will drive you nuts..Version: 2.1
