✓ Pretty good. Worthwhile.All in all, it’s good. Has major syncing issues though; pictures often don’t sync, and they often only remain in the original device which entered in the picture(s). When in sync mode, inputting can be extremely slow after pressing “save” (up to 45 seconds sometimes), so it makes multiple sequential inputting inconvenient sometimes. If entering multiple pictures, it only lets you do one at a time, which is kinda inconvenient. It should allow the user to tap as many pictures as you want—all at the same time. I use this every day, and make several entries a day. I love it, and with a little tweaking, it’d be near perfect. The search options is very useful and well designed. All in all, it’s well worth it, and a useful tool. Note: I have thousands of entries in this, so in its defense, I may be taking It to its limit..Version: 9.2.8

✓ Useless for multiple accountsMay be ok for managing one account but I found it useless when trying to put in my current account, credit card and savings. I spent a couple of hours trying to get it to work and i'm sure it wasn't just me being thick. First it wouldn't let me put in a debit balance to start for my credit card so I had to create the balance as a transaction. Then it just kept lumping the accounts together so it would use transactions in my current account to offset the balance of my credit card account and when I put a debit from my savings and credited it to my current though it showed the transactions it just left the balances both as they originally were. Couldn't transfer funds from one to another and showed different balances for the same accounts when looked at on different pages. Could not work out how to manage the three accounts separately and not got the time to spend any longer trying to. Found an app that easily manages the three accounts now anyway..Version: 4.9
✓ Still slow and dumbVendor searches are on the dumb AI side. Continues to do a full keyword search on every entry making it ridiculously slow. Adding new vendors is the only way to stop dumb entries, and even then, it has dumb options of changing all transactions. It even clearly states 0 or edit transaction. It's a new transaction? Budgets are broken. Have more than one that sequential? Nope, can't figure it out.only the first one works. So range X1 to X22, next budget you would think would be from X23 to X45, but nope. It does X45 to X45. Totally incompetent at rolling over budgets properly. Quite sad. It's only good enough to track transactions. Too much time focusing on adding functionality when the core purpose of tracking budgets is broken. I would not recommend this product. A budget app at the very least, must track budget over a CONSECUTIVE range of time. Not chopped up over whatever it decides..Version: 9.2.3
✓ Used to be 5 starsThis app used to be amazing, used it every day for years. The update however is awful, you can no longer see your daily balance and plan your month/year ahead. I would put my monthly bills in ahead of time and each day I would enter expenses and could see my current balance as well as skip ahead a couple of days to see how much I would have in a week or two. Now it shows weekly or monthly and I cannot budget how I did before. I'm trying to find something to compare to the old version but no luck yet, may have to go back to budgeting on paper :(.Version: 9.0
✓ Great program... when it works...This will be the second month in a row I have been using the program, only to have it completely stuffed up by an update mid-budget. And for the second month in a row I am waiting for an update that will fix the problems caused by the one preceding it. If you buy this program, and find it works... resist the temptation to update. It seems strange to me that basic calculation errors are overlooked. I will start looking for another budgeting program, because I am sick of entering all this data and crossing my fingers every update in the hope that it doesn't screw it all up again. ✓ $1.00cad bug fixed- good job!Program now sum correctly and I would now like the option to sum CAD and USD at same time. Data opens into MoneyWell ("MW") desktop mac app but it's format is not easily useable as extra fields are listed above and categories dont match, could use QIF and OFX. Email and wifi sync at least work well. I started with My Budget app for free, till I realized you need leopard to get the data out, source code was also $50. Then I bought ixpenseit out for $5, It's easier to add items from the past and to also email the spreadsheet of data to yourself, but the data still does not work well with Canadian banks/tax season or my accounting desktop app without spending a bunch of time trying to alter the file to export right. Canadian banks use proprietary formats for data export like QIF and OFX, something a spreadsheet cant touch even when looking for conversion programs. Quicken which came with my Mac mini never opened data from my Canadian bank. SplashMoney its very expensive because it offered a desktop application and could import thousands of hours of data right from a Canadian bank, but the desktop app locked up solid setting categories and couldnt be re-installed, cant export without turning off firewall. I use TD Bank, Waterhouse for my stocks, PC Financial, CIBC and PayPal and was able to get QuickBank ($2) to work with those Canadian Banks. Bought MoneyWell ($40) for a desktop and found that "QB" was the easiest to setup. I can download my data from Canadian bank into "MW" and on the go I can use "QB" for entering data. I just had to set the categories the same in "MW" and "QB" and then the data moves over without a glitch! I dont have to do a thing...it was like the two programs were made for each other. So now I finally have a solution that isnt manual typing, nually, yet allows me to enter things on the go and compare it against what my financial institution shows. For once I'm finally organized..Version: 0

✓ Does not share between devices and no supportI’ve been using this App for years and it previously worked great. It used to sync between devices but doesn’t anymore despite paying fees to have that option. I’ve emailed a multitude of times trying to trouble shoot and responses are very delayed and nothing has worked. I’ve tried getting a number and help but no one ever helps to trouble shoot this. Very frustrating because I can’t have an assistant help log unless they use my phone but I need my phone. Need to have sync function fixed so I can share between iPad and iphone or refund payments for this upgrade. Please fix and please get a number for support!.Version: 9.9.20
✓ From happiness to frustration.Syncing has been a nightmare lately. Our whole financial tracking relies on IXpenseIt but since synching is not consistent, we had overspend in some areas, and having to rethink and redo our budgets. Last update still didn’t fix the issue so my wife has to ask me to log expenses for her, making things really awkward and difficult. I really love the simplicity of the app but we only got into the subscription model for the multi device syncing, which by the way doesn’t work. Just the heads up that I emailed support twice before leaving this updated review, with no answer..Version: 9.6.8
✓ Update Horrendous!!!I've used this app since 2011. It worked great! Five stars at the time. Since the October 2016 update, it's terrible. No longer easy to use, difficult navigation and I can't easily access account balances. After the conversion or update, my accounts for the first time do not balance. ✓ I want the original version back!!! This one is terrible.I have used this app for nearly 6 years and was very happy with it. This new updated version may look sophisticated and behave intuitively, but it has robbed me of all the control over specific parameters for reports which were vital for me. I want to control the app, not have the app try to tell me what I want to do! All user control and flexibility is lost. Where is the dashboard with monthly breakdown? Why are the tabs on the left so huge, taking up half the page, when they only contain one word? Stop trying to cram so much in one page. Everything that made the original version outstandingly simple and user friendly has disappeared. The makers have sacrificed functionality for style. ✓ An enormous waste of timeI’ve been using the app for two years and twice I have lost data that support was unable to help me retrieve. On both occasions it cost me an entire day to fix and a lot was lost for good. Sync does not always work and there are problems with multiple people adding data. ✓ Upgrade not as good as old versionI loved the old version of iXpenseIt. Since the upgrade with new logo and graphics I have not found the app as user friendly and have struggled to generate monthly reports. I've only managed to do a monthly cashflow report with general expense categories and not one with subcategories. The App Support button doesn't work and when I do a google search for help only instructions for old versions of iXpenseIt come up. Has FYI Mobileware stopped providing support for this app?? ✓ Went from great to awfulI use this app less in a year than I used to in a day. It is slow and clumsy now and too much of a pain to use. I'm looking for a replacement now after using this app for over 5 years. They made it more powerful but it’s WAY too slow to enter a receipt so I just dont use it. ✓ Mr. BookAfter updating today I find your app completely unusuable. It lacks all signs of your previously intuitive interface and instead of allowing ease of tracking daily and monthly expenses. It instead summarizes ALL my past expenses for the past five years and continually vomits various summary bar graphs in my face. Completely unusable, with the bonus of now hiding all my discrete previous data from me. I find the lite version is still fantastic 5/5. ✓ Cloud service failed meI’ve been using this app for years, even before they transitioned to a subscription based app. I was very happy with this app until recently when I encountered a login issue. Long story short, I lost gigabytes of receipts and photos as apparently the app wasn’t uploading it to the cloud for some reason. All the while, I thought I didn’t have to do a manual backup anymore as I’m already paying for an annual subscription. I recommend that anyone using their cloud services check that their data is actually being backed up in their cloud. Don’t get surprised like me..Version: 9.9.1

✓ Can’t save scanned receiptsFor some reason, a recent update has caused the “Keep Scan” button not to show up at the bottom of the screen. There’s no way to directly save a scanned image other than taking a picture, saving it to photos, and then uploading it to the app. I emailed customer service, sending them a screen shot, and they never responded. I’ve used this app (pro version) for years. This is the first time I have been disappointed with its functionality and more disappointed with the silence from customer service..Version: 9.9.0

✓ New, updated version is HORRIBLEI originally rated this app 5 stars YEARS ago and have been happily using it daily until the updated version. The update is absolutely dreadful. It is not user-friendly and takes longer to enter in expenses (previous version had short cuts). Previous version showed daily balance (update doesn't). Previous version showed monthly categories of spending with the touch of a button (update now only shows annual spending and is a huge process to set up monthly expenditures). This version now only allows you to see upcoming expenses for 30 days. I will never use the update it is that terrible. I am now at a loss, as I was so used to using this app daily! ✓ Terrible update, just awful beyond wordsI've had this app for years and it was a lifesaver with my money management and really quick and easy to use. This update has destroyed it and all my budgets are out of sync, it's complicated to use, and it now seems built around things I just don't need. Whatever you do don't update if you have the old version. Really disappointing that a great app that was such an integral part of managing my finances has been ruined. Now to start again or find something else that does what this used to do. Why try and fix what's not broken? Update: Downloaded the "lite" i.e. Old version from the App Store. The new version has a backup with an option that comes up to transfer all your data from the new useless version to the lite "old" version. Ah ha, problem solved. Or not. Surprise surprise this doesn't work. And even better, the backup file exported from the new version is an .ix file (?) and isn't compatible with the restore in the lite which is .csv. Happy days! So I've just reentered all my budget, standing orders etc into the lite and will start again from scratch. Well done guys, you really excelled with this update..Version: 9.0

Recently the family sync feature hasn’t been working consistently and to correct they recommend logging out and logging back in. Now I’m locked out of my account because of an error on their side that says “The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format”. ✓ Great app, but chronic crasherGreat functionality. Used it for a month and love it. Requires some accounting knowhow to set up and use properly. But at the same time very frustrating how often it crashes. I can't use it for more than a couple minutes before it crashes on my iPhone 4! Otherwise it would be 4 stars. ✓ Some GripesHave been using this app for a couple of weeks. Generally I like the flexibility to redefine fields etc. Find that the reporting capabilities are pretty naff, but so are reports from most iPhone expense apps. There are some formatting issues (suppressed trailing zeros on amounts in reports) that peeve. My biggest gripe is having to put up with ads in a fully paid app, a feature normally reserved for the freebee version, which is excusable. Here they want to be paid twice!!.Version: 4.6.1
