✓ Brilliant app. Just needs a settings page.I’ve been looking for something like this for ages. I’m doing various formulas regarding electric vehicles and this works perfectly. One thing I would love to see would be more settings such as larger font, different background colours, different types of font haptic feedback, cloud backup just to back up complicated calculations, to name just a few that, that would make this app absolutely perfect. It’s also a shame that you can’t use the result of one calculation in another calculation. For example, I made a calculation to determine cost per mile of our diesel car and a separate calculation to determine cost per mile of our EV Car, it would be great to divide one by the other to see how many times more I’m saving on electricity rather than diesel. Also there is no provision to have a result like 2.5 hours to be shown as 2hrs 30mins. It’s all decimal. And another glitch I’ve just noticed, when I create inputs and have “min” set to 950 and “max” to 1050, the slider shows a min of 396 (random !) and max of 1050 (as expected). I’m probably being way too picky because the app is brilliant, but if these features were able to be incorporated then this app would be just fantastic..Version: 4.2.0

✓ So glad they keep updating GoCalc - great appEvery time there’s an IOS update, I have a few apps that have been abandoned by developers and won’t work with the new OS. Most I wouldn’t care about or could easily replace — but not GoCalc. I’m always relieved when it still works, because I use it nearly every day. Still awesome. I started simple, adding cooking conversions I use a lot. Then I added a few design conversions. But it turned into a mission-critical app when I created a set of formulas for all my estimating and billing. I'm not good at math, but by using the built-in apps as examples, and a little trial and error, I got them all working. Saves HOURS on these time-consuming tasks! Love being able to email the results to save with the paperwork. Would give it 5 stars if you had the option to clear all variables at once, and if you could duplicate an entire calculation to use as a base for a new one..Version: 3.1.0
✓ An great little alternative to a spreadsheetThis App is just what I was looking for: More sophisticated than a calculator but less fiddly than a spreadsheet, it's a great way to solve life's numerical problems on a small screen and present the results neatly. The ability to use sliders for input is handy and the ability to create 'hidden' results allows you to create intermediate steps as named variables. In this way, its possible to construct quite complicated sequences with a simple interface. Having researched a plethora of Apps before buying Go Calc, I'm convinced that there is nothing remotely similar in the App Store. ✓ Book SellerI have several elaborate pricing formulas that I use at work. None is complex, but each involves a number of time-consuming steps. I was able to enter each formula into Go Calc. Now, I can quickly adjust two simple numbers, my price and my markup, and Go Calc will immediately go through all the calculations and give me a suggested price. The app works flawlessly. ✓ One of My Most Used AppsI use this app nearly every day for scuba gas blending. It saves a huge amount of time and reduces input errors when working with long equations. For its intended use, it is much simpler to use on the iPhone than trying to navigate around a tiny spreadsheet app. The developer has delivered timely updates and continues to add functionality. ✓ Great AppThis app is great for creating custom calculations. There are other unit converters out there that contain more conversion types (such as currency), which this app does not have, but none of them allow for the creation of custom calculations, which is where this app shines. I'm not taking any stars off for the lack of currency conversion, but I would like to see it added (along with the ability to update the current rates of exchange for each country). This app gets five stars just for the ability to create custom conversions quickly and easily and for the recent update that added a few features (like calculation notes and the ability to email the result of a calculation, both of which are great)..Version: 0

✓ Terrific App, Very FlexibleThis is one of those 'swiss army knife' applications for almost all of your custom calculating needs. Set up your formulas, enter your data and have your answers! I think the only things that it does not do are matrices or arrays, but I am not sure there is an easy answer for those. Also, it sure would be nice to have a iPad sized version. ✓ Mr RiderFANTASTIC !!!! I own a Retail store and have to work out margins every day. At the moment I use a spread sheet on a laptop with a program especially written. The main problem being that I have case prices that need to be individualised, also some products are zero rated & some are at 20%. I have managed to write the program into this little app and can now work out margins on the fly and more importantly at the suppliers before I buy the goods. ✓ Love this app!!!I've used this app for the last 5 years as a clinical dietitian and have been able to input many of the complex calculations I do on a regular basis, which saves me a huge amount of time several times a day, and allows me to do my job far more efficiently, spending more time with patients & families instead of with my calculator :) One suggestion I would have is to add a 'search' feature, where you can search the name of a calculation you are looking for. With the amount of calcs I now have sometimes it's hard to find what I'm looking for..Version: 3.0.0

It’s easy to use, it’s easy to organize you’re calculations and it just works! For me it’s replaced an ancient (now defunct) sieko device that ran all my engineering calculations in BASIC. I never thought I’d find anything quite as simple and effective, but this is it! The ‘sliders’ feature is especially useful when you’re trying to adjust variables to achieve an approximate result that’s ‘good enough’ – much, much easier than when using spreadsheets. In fact, just stop thinking ‘spreadsheets’ (I wish the blurb didn’t compare this app with them). I’ve got spreadsheets all over the place, but for its stated task GoCalc is better – by a long way..Version: 0

I work in the Road Construction industry and have not found anything close to this app. It allows you to tweak specific equations and create them specific to your information needed. ✓ An incredibly useful appI work in a neonatal intensive care, and whilst there are numerous calculator apps I was always cautious about them. Often they had loads of things I didn't need and not the stuff I did need. I was also worried about the formulas they use. This app allows me to set up my own calculations for which I can take full responsibility, and have full faith in. It is one of my favourite apps. ✓ Wonderful AppI love this app! I am a pipe fitter and I've been looking for a way to program various layout problems into my phone. Go Figure is perfect. I wish there were a way to go from decimals to fractions, and I wish there were a way to change my mind about the the order/grouping/organization of the formulas. ✓ Very PowerfulWith the newest release, this app is very powerful. The process of setting up calculations is easy and fairly straight forward. I have a calculation to figure the volume of a fish tank along with water weight, and with Go Figure, all I have to do is punch in HxWxD and the app will figure all my needs for me!!! ✓ Where have you been all my life?This app is fantastic. i have been looking for something like this for ages, and have finally found it. it beats the hell out of any of the conversion apps out there, because you can make your own conversions rather than relying on the developers to understand what you're talking about and add it in themselves. And you can make quite complex conversion formulas, with functional UI. THANK YOU!!! Additional feature request: is there any chance of being able to make text values available as potential results (eg for IF functions, as in IF(a>b,"YES","CUSTARD"))? ✓ Great applicationReally like this application. It seems that it is the closest thing to Excel on the iPhone at the moment. Found entering the formulas very easy. There are some great features like cursor left and right which make it easier to move around in complex equations. ✓ Yeah!!!The new update (1.2 on Sept 12, 2008) allows you to use lots of math and statistical functions. I created several functions that make it easier to interpret logistic regression results, and it works like a charm! ✓ Excellent productI'm amaze with this little piece of software. If you need to create your own formulas this is for you. It can give you as many results as you want based on the same variables. ✓ Go CalcThis has proven to be a VERY useful application to me - you can easily set up formulae for calculations you use frequently (and you don't have to rely on a preset range of conversions, etc). For example, many scientific and medical calculations are rather arcane and not useful to large numbers of users - you can easily add any that are useful to YOU, however.
