Cleartune for Negative User Reviews

Loss of quality since updatedThe app has been updated sometime in the last week or two, not for the better. I'm a guitar repairer with a registered guitar repair business and have used this app for the last 8 years to fine tune the guitars because of its great response , accuracy and smooth acting dial and needle features. Since the update, the screen is larger which is ok though I prefer seeing more of the dial like it used to be. As a result of the zoomed/closer dial the needle and dial have lost their smooth action and have become jumpy so that it's harder to read and takes longer to tune. I won't be using it anymore I'm afraid. The designers need to re assess this update pronto..Version: 2.2

Hmm not impressedEveryone in the ensemble that I am in highly recommended this app and it was great when I tried it on their phones, so I had high expectations. I recently just tried to download it and accepted the $4.99 fee but before it even started downloading I got a notification telling me that it is unable to download? I tried numerous times and it still won't download. I am thoroughly unimpressed especially since I payed good money for it 😒.Version: 2.1.3

Steer clearThis used to be a truly great app - better than most of the hardware tuners I have, but with one of the recent-ish iOS updates, even on a steady (computer generated) test tone the needle jumps up 25 cents or so and back roughly once per second. The app is now essentially unusable. Very disappointing..Version: 2.1.3

Ain’t broke, don’t fix itAs a guitar teacher, I have referred so many students to download Cleartune. The update a couple years ago made a great app considerably more frustrating. The green arrow pointing to the exact pitch you’re on used to only turn green when you were perfectly in tune, staying yellow when you were not. Now it’s just always green, which is confusing for my students. I avoided updating the app on my iPad for that reason, but recently was forced to update it finally. I also don’t know why the updated version has a more zoomed in version of the pitch wheel. It was great the way it was, please go back..Version: 2.2

Shame. Was brilliant. Now broken. The latest update has broken this app. A440 on a piano now reads as 220, the same as the octave below it. My go to pitch check app - now unreliable and by definition, worse than useless. I only give it two stars because it used to be excellent. Fix it please guys..Version: 2.2

Used to be the standard...This app has been on my devices for years because it was the most accurate and responsive tuner out there for iOS. After the update, it has been unusable and inaccurate. I have no problem using the Polytune on my board, but Cleartune was always nice to have in a pinch, or for an impromptu acoustic jam. I hope they get back to the basics and fix the shoddiness and new design of the app so that it is responsive and usable again. I did pay full price for it at one point..Version: 2.2

IOS 11PLEASE UPDATE THIS SO IT’S COMPATIBLE WITH IOS 11 PLEASE!!! I have had this app for a year now and love it but iOS 11 has decided to be a jerk and so this app NEEDS AN UPDATE.Version: 2.1.3

Education FailureSet up in front of pupil for intonation exercise and no pitch pipe mode. Checked the info/FAQ and followed settings to the ends of the earth with no change. Complete disaster before attempting to contact developer and finding an error page, nothing more. Waste of time, money and the good will of a pupil. PS why does every other app on my phone connect through blue tooth except this one?.Version: 2.3

Update has ruined appI've used this app to tune my guitars for years and have recommended it to hundreds of students and fellow musicians. Since the update, it has become useless. It has lost its smooth glide and has become jumpy. I can no longer tune my guitars with confidence. Unless the app is returned to its original functionality I won't be using it anymore. Please fix ASAP!.Version: 2.2

Doesn’t workSave your money!.Version: 2.2

A problemApp working really well. Good settings and what I needed. However , the juddering needle is setting me back a lot. Developers need to fix this in a new update. Needle used to be working smooth but now has completely ruined its useful purpose..Version: 2.2

NOT IMPRESSEDI play the double bass when my friends recommended I tried it I paid 5.99 dollars for it but when I try to use it changes from note to note And at the end of the day my double bass still needs tuning and sounds horrible.Version: 2.1.3

Used to be greatCleartune used to be fantastic. Now it locks up frequently. It’s a shame it’s not been updated..Version: 2.3

CleartuneDisappointing to discover that this app is already out of date viz current iOS. Why is it still being sold? My advice: don't buy.Version: 2.1.3

Needs an iOS 12 updateUsed to be the best tuner I’d ever used, but extremely unstable in iOS 12. Needs an update bad, constantly freezing..Version: 2.2

Not up to standardSadly, this App does not work properly in IOS 10. Not on my iPhone 7. Also, I get pop-ups notifying me that Cleartune is slowing my iphone, and that the App needs to be updated. I don't know how it manages to function on other iPhones using iOS 10. A disappoint - I really liked this app..Version: 2.1.3

Ok, but not great reallyNice tuner.... Sometimes. Sometimes it's stable, but all too often it gyrates wildly trying to figure out what tone it's hearing, as opposed to other tuners which never seem to have this crazy problem. Otherwise nice aesthetic UI, and the chromatic wheel tuner is nice and easy to read. Great for just wanting to know what note a sound is, like for singing. Just wish the dev could fix the instability issues which keep cropping up too often for me..Version: 2.1.3

Used to be perfect.Up until my switch to the iPhone 5s, it worked perfectly. Cleartune now regularly confuses notes in the 4th and 6th octave with a reading of notes in the 5th octave. It's extremely frustrating. Please fix..Version: 2.1.3

IOS 11????Just bought this but told it will slow my phone down because it needs to be updated? Darn. Do I need to ask for my money back....Version: 2.1.3

Not great anymoreUsed to be a great app. Now it just does not seem to be hearing frequencies anymore. The needle does not move half the time, especially for low frequencies..Version: 2.3

Latest update is terribleCleartune for iOS11 removed the visual cue of a green light saying you’re in tune and a red telling you that you are out of tune. This seems like a fairly big error and I hope it will get fixed. It’s a shame because the app used to be the best one on the App Store..Version: 2.2

Used to workLoved it and even promoted to my musician friends. Now it freezes and I cannot reach support. Not updated since last fall. Sad for a paid app. Apple should remove it and all their apps if this is their business model..Version: 2.3

Bring back the old versionThe new update is not as good as the old one, needle response is lagging.Version: 2.2

Does not work anymore on iOS 11Good, until I upgrade to iOS11. Doesn’t work anymore.Version: 2.1.3

BuggyI’ve been using this app for a while for pipe organ tuning. Its ability to do temperaments is great, however today when I tried to tune to A415 Neidhardt Kleine Stadt, this preset had disappeared and the A415 setting kept reverting to A440. I’m trying to get an organ tuned for a performance and now I am screwed. Two stars for past usefulness but this is really a problem. I’d say use this app with great caution because it is unstable and features that once worked have ceased to. I wouldn’t call it dependable. Sadly for what I do there is no other adequate app. What are we supposed to do? No app with the temperament features, and the one that has them doesn’t work!! Frustrated..Version: 2.3

Doesn’t workDoesn’t do nothing all all, nothing moves I want my money back.Version: 2.3

Nice app has gone backwardsHave had Cleartune some years and like its interface and accuracy. If you released a padlock on the dial you could exactly pitch microtones, but in the latest version this has gone. Shame..Version: 2.2

No recent updatesThis used to be (and still is) an excellent tuning app. However, it has not been updated for several years and is on Apple's own "endangered" list of 32 bit apps that won't work with future versions of iOS. I have tried contacting the developer but no response. Not worth buying unless it is updated..Version: 2.1.3

Better on iPhoneGot this on iPad and its not as good as the iPhone version recommend only if you play a lot of music/ professional.Version: 2.1.3

GoodA good tuner app. I've been using it since an iPhone 4 and it has always been fantastic. However recently an alert popped up every time I open it, informing me that the developer needs to update this app to improve compatibility. By the time iOS 10.3 is released, this app will be irrelevant and probably won't even launch until it gets updated to 64-bit support. The future of all good apps. Please update this app so I don't have to buy a new tuner app!.Version: 2.1.3

Awful softwareDevice will lock itself as it doesn’t recognise the app is running. When you are sick of keep unlocking your device, you will forget it is still open and the app will drain your battery like a leech. I had a free app before which worked better. I wanted this app for the range of tuning but it is so poor I would spend the money again on anything else. So disappointed..Version: 2.2

Need updatePLEASE UPDATE...!! Update no working on iPhone 6s+.Version: 2.1.3

OkayI am not a teacher, or professional musician, I play a guitar for the joy it gives me. This app is great, when it works. It tunes precisely, but suddenly gets stuck on one note. There is nothing I can do to force the needle to move again. It is incredibly frustrating. I went to the App Store to see if there has been an upgrade, but it appears that nothing has been done to repair this in two years. Please please repair this App..Version: 2.3

Review.I love your app! A use it all the time but the new update is super glitchy. Try and fix it cause your app used to be fantastic!.Version: 2.2

Once was greatThis once was a great tuner but sad to say but under iOS 12.2 , on an iPad mini, this app crashes as soon as you give it audio ..Version: 2.2

64-bit update neededFantastic app, but it hasn't been updated in 4 years and won't be compatible with iOS this fall if it isn't updated for 64-bit support..Version: 2.1.3

Update already!Loved this app since I bought years ago, perfect for practicing, perfect for helping my students, was definitely 5 stars. But it hasn’t been properly updated in several months (not sure what’s up with the ever-recurring “2 minutes ago” update.) It’s slow, no longer does the red/green triangle thingy, please update, I miss using this app in its former glory!!!!.Version: 2.2

Waste of moneyIts a pretty good tuner but it is hard to read and i never seem to be in tune. If it was free it would be an ok tuner but cause it cost me 3.99 its not good enough Try instuner its free and way better qualiry Not a bad tuner but costs too much for the performance.Version: 2.2

Progressively getting worseI loved this app and recommended it to all my guitar students, however, I’ve noticed a steady decline in the quality of this tuner. I gave up on the iPad version and I fear I’m about to do the same with the iPhone version. This was the BEST app on the market, please return it to its former glory! Are there any updates on the way?.Version: 2.3

No soundI just purchased this app a minute ago and there is no sound coming out it. Is anyone else having this issue? Could someone advise me if I need to click on some button in addition to the power button?.Version: 2.2

Updated app no longer worksI have been using this application for many years and enjoying it. However after updating to the latest version the app no longer works. It instantly crashes on opening. PLEASE FIX!.Version: 2.3

Reads everything flatI’m disappointed in this tuner. It came highly recommended, but I’ve noticed it picks up and registers every note as slightly flat as compared to every other tuner I’ve got. I’ve checked it against several other tuners, and while the others all give the same readings, this one comes in flat. Pretty useless as a tuner if you ask me..Version: 2.2

Great in the past, terrible now!Use to be the perfect tuner. Not updated so laggy and occasional freezes. Shame..Version: 2.3

Not sure what’s happened in latest version (2.2)Have just upgraded to iOS 11, and for some reason this has suddenly got a lot jerkier and less responsive. I thought it was just me, but after having used it to tune my harps for a lesson, my student came in and mentioned that she has had exactly the same issue this morning. So I think something has happened to make it run less smoothly. I hope it can be sorted, because it’s a really great app..Version: 2.2

Update IOS 11This has been my favourite tuning app however it needs an update to be compatible with the new IOS 11.Version: 2.1.3

Issues since updateUsed to be the best tuner I had for violin, but since the recent update a few months ago it has been unreliable and slow to adapt to change in pitch which it used to handle quite well. For example, I notice a massive delay between playing a D and an E in on the violin..Version: 2.3

What's happened to this tunerI have used this app for a number of years and found it superb but suddenly it has changed for the worse. I tune pipe organs big and small and in very different locations and instruments old and new. It used to be possible to take the pitch, register it, check sample intervals and then safely set the bearings. Now it's possible to get the pitch but not apply it. An example of a practical situation arose where all of the pipe work was removed for cleaning etc. The pitch pipe was c. What use was a tuner where it isn't possible to move from a? I am having to move to a different tuner which is a great pity. My grading of the app now moves from 5 stars to 1 star.Version: 2.2

Do not buy unless they maintain itThis tuner was formerly great, but no longer works properly. Until they fix it, please don't waste your money. Just check the recent comments, and especially look at the version history - everything you need to know is there. I'm sad to write this as I loved the app, and I will be delighted to revise this review if/when they do some maintenance..Version: 2.1.3

It’s freezingI bought this app buts it’s very difficult to tune any instrument with it because the app freezes I really hope that they update the app or els it’s useless..Version: 2.3

New update has ruined a great app!The new update interface is clunky as heck. I’ve used Cleartune for years, the smooth note dial was the best feature and better than all other tuners I’ve seen. Now it’s bigger and doesn’t roll smoothly, it’s the same as many of the free tuner apps you can get. Disappointed!.Version: 2.2

Great app, lacks features from past versionsI have used this app as my only tuner since 6th grade, however the iOS 11 update removed the feature where you could “unlock” the pitch wheel, allowing you to play specific frequencies through the app. I continue to use the app, however I hope the developer will add this feature back. Also, I feel that the pitch wheel interface is slightly clunky and could use some adjusting..Version: 2.2

App doesn’t work on iPhone 11 Pro Max Anymore :(Stopped working since the update. Needle doesn’t move 😑😑.Version: 2.3

Unhappy with updateI bought this app years ago and have used it every day for tuning my students. The wheel is too big now and the graphics more cartoonish looking (more 2-dimensional if I’m correct in saying?). The tuning needle stays green all the time now. It used to turn green only when you had the correct pitch which was visually helpful for my students. A step backwards from the older version so very disappointed. I NEVER write reviews so this shows how very disappointed I am..Version: 2.2

Piano Tuner used to say YES!Shame. Recently my installation of this app has developed the ‘bouncing needle’ syndrome which other reviewers have experienced. Sad to have to downgrade my five star review. If they fix this, then this is the BEST tuning app in the app store. PLEASE UPDATE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and I’ll re-write this review..Version: 2.1.3

Needs to be updatedLast update was in 2012 it looks like. Worked perfect on my 4S. Got an SE, and the tuner needle just keeps moving erratically. Would not recommend for iPhone 6 or newer until they update the app. Worked perfectly on the older phone though..Version: 2.1.3

Doesn’t work any moreI paid for this app and it doesn’t work on my iPhone XR. Happy to update my review if they fix it..Version: 2.2

Worked well until recentlyThe Cleartune App was great until the most recent update (as of 30 June 2020). After latest update it’s gotten slow to a point that I cannot tune my violin anymore. I’m running latest iOS on iPhone 6s Plus. I have tried contacting the support via email form on their website, but when hitting ‘Send’ button, I’ve received internal server error. Not being able to contact the developer doesn’t add extra confidence. Hope the issue can be resolved, then I would be happy to give 5 stars..Version: 2.3

Very DisappointedI've used this app for 3 years, very happily, but with the recent update the feature allowing the A4 Calibration to be set with the microphone has been lost. This means that the app is now useless to me. Very unhappy..Version: 2.2

New update needs an updateI have been using this app without a hitch for the past 5 years to tune my orchestras and students and it has been wonderful until I updated it. The quality has dropped, the backlight keeps turning off and in turn, the app turns off and it doesn't seem to pick up the pitch as well as it did before. Please fix these issues in the next update..Version: 2.2

Who has damaged this superb tuner app? Thanks for not very nice upgrade and damage this superb tuner app. As pipe organ tuner do miss automatic pitch set. I was very impresed with this app for several years and no I have to use differend tuner machine. Thanks for that. I have only one wish to see this app fully working as it should soon again. That is reason to down grade this app from 5 stars to only one star..Version: 2.2

Was better before update!A bit disappointed with the update. Was much better before and clearer. Shame..Version: 2.2

Why did you remove features? This has been my go-to tuner for years. As a music teacher, I was able to use the app on two different devices side-by-side to demonstrate what it sounds like when two pitches go in and out of tune with each other (using the tone generator). The “unlocking” feature that removes the pitch grid is essential to the success of this lesson because the students could see the wheel move farther and farther away from the pitch and compare it with the sound waves they hear (as the waves get faster, the pitches go out of tune with one another). They LOVED it and it was an extremely effective lesson. This feature has been removed, unfortunately, and now I need to find an alternative app. Very disappointed..Version: 2.2

Rubbish - Don’t PurchaseI read great reviews in this app, so purchased it. The pitch pipes don’t work (no sound plays) so I looked into it. Turns out that it hasn’t been updated for years and the app developers website bounces back, so no chance of support or refund..Version: 2.3

Love it, hoping for playback improvementI have found a lot of great use for this application as I am a double bass player. I just wished that it would allow the playback drone over Bluetooth. As it stands, I can only hear the drones from my tiny little iPhone speakers (bad for low frequencies) or through headphones. If this issue could be resolved it would make it the perfect application for me and I am sure many others..Version: 2.3

Stopped working properly.Used this app for a long time and loved it. Was always spot on and very easy and quick to use. Recently upgraded from iPhone 5s to a 6 and its not accurate anymore 😐. Takes for ever to tune as the needle constantly jumps all over the place. Don't know if it's the app or iPhone issue now. But it seems every iPhone upgrade something else doesn't work. Won't be getting another one next!.Version: 2.1.3

Used to be perfectI am a classical violinist and violist as well as a teacher. I also play other instruments for a hobby. This app used to be perfect whether I was tuning a note that had to be perfect, tuning my violin knowing it had to be exactly in tune with other tuners, or tuning my banjo or tenor guitar. Now the wheel flails aimlessly no matter what the needle damping setting is. I’m not recommending this to my students any longer and probably won’t use it any more myself until I see another update and give it a test drive..Version: 2.2

One star with Four star performanceMy banjo tutor has this app, and as my old stand-alone chromatic tuner is not working as well as it should, I decided to purchase it. This is where the One star comes in, the developers don't inform you, that if you have an iPad mini 4, that although it downloads, it won't work! Seems as though the app can't hear the notes, might have to take it to Spec-savers hearing centre for a checkup. Luckily though, I have a small orchard of gizmos, including an iPhone and an old iPad2 and via iTunes, down-loaded the app to them, and it worked first time. But, I didn't really want to use either of those apples as they both have small memory banks. So in conclusion, if you have an iPad mini4, DON'T purchase this app, today it won't work, and the developers don't seem to give a ........ The Four stars? Well, if you have a gizmo it will work on, e.g. The larger iPads or iPhone then it has some great options, unfortunately most of them go over my head as, there doesn't seem to be a manual or operating document for it..Version: 2.1.3

Once good, now uselessWhile once a very effective and useful app, the needle/note readout is constantly in motion across a huge range of notes, making tuning virtually impossible. I thought maybe ambient sound was affecting it, but other tuning apps are not experiencing similar issues. This surfaced after a previous iOS update ( around 8) and continues to date (9.3.5). Not currently recommended. If the issue was resolved, I would highly recommend..Version: 2.1.3

FrustratingHave to be honest, I’ve spent hours each evening for a week trying to get this to work, without any success. It seems to remain perpetually locked - that is, the red padlock icon will go white briefly, but then disappears. Consequently, the spinning dial doesn’t move. Pretty pointless when I’m trying to see if I’m sharp or flat or, indeed, where I’m sounding on the scale at all. Maybe I need to pay more to unlock this? Maybe I’m not using it properly? Not impossible; I’m not young. But I’ve googled YouTube for help, but still nothing works. I did email the Q&A site, but no reply. Such is life..Version: 2.3

CleartuneI got this app thinking it would be loud enough to tune my violin, but it has such a weak sound as to be useless. DO NOT GET THIS USELESS APP RBE.Version: 2.2

Not loving the update!I rarely pay for apps, but I bought this one a couple of years ago and loved it. I am a music teacher and have referred many students to this app. However, the update has made it frustrating to use for several reasons. I like the smaller size of the old tuning "wheel". This larger size seems to be more "jumpy" and is distracting. It was also very helpful to have the needle stay yellow until the correct pitch was attained (now it just stays green making more difficult to see when that pitch is achieved). I would have rated the app 5 stars with the old version. I will probably look for a new app to use and recommend..Version: 2.2

Fix or refund, please?I just purchased this on a recommendation from a fellow violinist. I’m on iOS 12 on my iPhone 5s. The pitch pipe feature does not work at all. I checked settings, restarted my phone, and even removed the app and reloaded it. Nothing. Can you please tell me how to remedy this problem or give me a refund? Follow up: After 3 days of waiting for a response here in the App Store, I decided to try to contact the developer via their website, but all I got after typing in my message and hitting "send" was an "internal server error" message. so I called Apple support, and Apple issued a refund. Thank you Apple for rectifying the issue..Version: 2.2

Locks upGreat easy to use/see tuner, but occasionally locks up. Very frustrationg.Version: 2.3

Good tuner but one major problemThis is a good tuner, but one major problem, plugging in my acoustic/electric guitar on my iphone using Peterson’s adaptor cable absolutely does nothing, Cleartune app still picks up background noises, never have this problem on my iStroboSoft, PolyTune, FenderTune, GuitarToolkit, these app completely isolates background noise when my guitar is plugged in, bypassing iPhone’s built in mic (as it supposed to be) which is the main reason why I use the adaptor cable in the first place to accurately tune my guitar without worrying about background noises, if the developer is reading this, can you please fix this problem, it’s a shame that this is one of the highest rated tuner app and comes highly recommended by a lot of reviewers and guitarists but no one seems to notice this simple but major problem..Version: 2.2

Stopped working.Needle does not move. Does not respond to any sounds..Version: 2.3

Seems to have lost contact with the MikeMine seems to have seized up and lost contact with the phone mike, rendering it useless..Version: 2.3

Not working properly.I’m using an iPhone 12 pro, and the app has not been working properly. It sometimes responds better to pitches from C5 and up, but anything lower than that it gets stuck or doesn’t respond. I’ve tried downloading the app several times, I’ve changed my case to make there was no obstruction to the microphone, but the problem is still there. Is there a fix for this, otherwise I’ll to use another app. Cleartune used to work very well and was indispensable when it came to baroque temperaments..Version: 2.3

Don’t downloadCouldn't figure it out. My harp teacher took a look at it and confirmed it is in no way user friendly. It’s only 5$ but 5$ It’s 5$ wasted unfortunately.Version: 2.3

Not work for IOS 7.1 at the momentWhen it works, it's great. However, it has stopped working since I updated to ios 7.1. Still waiting for an updates.Version: 2.1.3

Great for guitars but not for violin/viola/cello/double bassI bought this as it was recommended to me. However I've tried it with string pupils (not guitars) for tuning their strings and it's too sensitive. If you have different pressures for down/up bows it's hopeless! Great for guitar I'm sure but don't buy if your another string player!.Version: 2.1.3

No updatesBeen years since the last update. Will be unsupported soon. :(.Version: 2.1.3

Need a Compatibility UpdateI spent money on this app because I need a quality tuner with me, but it hasn't been updated since 2012. Why? Now I keep getting warnings saying that using this app may slow down my phone, and that the developer needs to improve its compatibility. Please look into this!.Version: 2.1.3

A great app now totally useless!!I can never understand this.. I had this amazing paid app which worked beautifully and now an update (which annoyingly removed the Unlock feature) has ruined it. It is now completely useless - regardless of sensitivity setting and with the phone right next to my violin, the pointer just seems to arbitrarily flick backwards and forwards indicating nothing! Very annoyed that a fully paid-for app is no longer fit for purpose. It should either be fixed or removed from the app store..Version: 2.2

Formerly great appI used to love this app. It WAS beautiful, accurate, and easy to use. But with this first update in years, its become unusable for me. It seems like a hasty and thoughtless update. Even with needle damping turned off, it's incredibly slow to register changes in pitch. So slow that it's useless. The ability to turn the wheel to generate any pitch (such as in-between pitches, outside of the set temperament) is gone, with the disappearance of the padlock at the bottom. Finally, it doesn't force the screen to stay on anymore, so that when practicing with a drone it shuts off after a minute - when the screen turns off. Questions sent to the developer about these issues have been unanswered. As far as I'm concerned, this "update" ruined the app..Version: 2.2

Update for ios 11Needs to be updated for ios 11. Otherwise won't work..Version: 2.1.3

What’s the problem with this app??It used to work very well, but now it’s not working well at all!! The needle don’t move and the tuning is not accurate… Very disappointed!!!.Version: 2.3

Great app but...I've had this app for quite a while now and have thoroughly enjoyed its usefulness. With Apple's recent updates and such the tuner lost its controllability. My needle now dances all over the place and I have contacted the company regarding this and they said they were working on a fix but I haven't seen one and it has been months now. My wife has the same app but hasn't updated her iOS and the app works flawlessly. I'm still waiting for the newest update for the erratic needle fix..Version: 2.1.3

Not thrilled with the updateI’m a musician who likes to put a tuner up on the stand and play through an entire piece of music to check for any intonation issues. With the newest update, if I’m not actively touching the screen, it dims and locks on me, which I find annoying. The only way around this is to change the settings on the phone to never lock, which I don’t want to do, so I’ve essentially stopped using this tuner and gone back to my old Korg. As I’ve used and loved this app for years, this is a huge disappointment. Other than this issue (which is a huge one for me), the tuner is accurate and useful, but the pros aren’t enough to overcome the cons for me at this rate..Version: 2.2

Appears to be abandonedThis used to be one of my most used applications, for tuning my string and wind instruments. Easy and intuitive to use. It stopped working properly with iOS9 (juddering needle) and the developers replied to say fixing it required a complete rewrite for iOS9. There has been no further response and no updates for some years, so sadly this looks like 'abandonware'. I'm sorry to be giving this just one star, but software that doesn't work at all cannot merit any higher, however good it used to be. I have now migrated to InsTuner. UPDATE : Upgraded to iOS 10 at developer's suggestion. Cleartune not working in iOS 10 either..Version: 2.1.3

Broke after OSX updateThis was my go to app for tuning my instruments before I updated my osx to 13.5.1. Since the update it no longer registers any input from the microphone and therefore only works as a pitch pipe. I sincerely hope this issue is resolved so I can start using it again otherwise I have wasted my money..Version: 2.3

Now uselessCan no longer open this app and the support page does not allow email to be sent and comes up with an error so there is no way of informing bitcount that this app does not now work on the iOS 9 iPad. I used to use this every day to tune my violin so am lost without this paid for app!.Version: 2.3

Worst tuning up I've ever usedQuite possibly the most inaccurate tuner I've used on my iPhone, constant changing from note to note never staying on the one note even when the note hasn't been changed. Shocking!.Version: 2.1.3

USED to be good. This app was good at one time, but it has been YEARS since their last update. With each OS update, there are more and more bugs that do not get dealt with. Definitely worth the money to go with a different app..Version: 2.1.3
