✓ I USED to love this app until today, July 13, 2018This app I've used for years and have absolutely loved it. Today I opened it and all my data is gone. 4-5 years of data. We explore the California deserts in our jeep in very remote places with around 150 different trips. Now it's all gone. Garafa state on their website that they are keen to assist users and keen to improve the app. I have written to them twice asking for support because there are issues with the app. The have not responded to either request for help and as this is a paid for app one expects them to be true to their word. They are not so I cannot recommend this app or the software house that produced it. Another point, why is it only the good reviews of this product that have been ticked as helpful. ✓ DisappointingIn the age of freemium and subscriptions, it was nice to see an app that only costs a one time fee. Once I opened it however, it was clear to me from the very start that I had made a great mistake in purchasing this product. This app lacks most of the functionalities that you would come to expect from such a piece of software: -Waypoints created will disappear from the map on the following day. -You pretty much need a PhD to import and export data. -Lacks basic features and advertises an expensive ($150 AUD) app in order to get them. -Constant error messages at startup. -Does not support wider screen size of iPhone XS Max. In my opinion, this app is a half baked excuse for a piece of such software and really needs a lot of work from the developer in order to get it to an acceptable standard..Version: 8.0.4

✓ Great features, shame about the bugsThis application has a great feature set, but suffers from instability and bugs. There are a couple of repeatable crashes, and lots of seemingly random ones that require a restart of my entire phone. Each waypoint records lat, long, altitude and date/time, but only lat/long are displayed within the app. To access the other information, you need to export the waypoints out of the app. Currently, exporting is broken for me. The app has consistently failed to export the first waypoint in a set, and now the app fails to export any waypoints. I have lots of data in the app and no way of accessing it. I've had to resort to manually displaying each waypoint on my iPhone and typing them into my computer, but I can't get altitude or date/time using this method. My first emails to GPSKit support were met with "we're looking into it", but now I don't get any response at all. As always, your mileage may vary..Version: 0

✓ Most recent version (3.2 for iPhone 3.0) is useless.I've had this app installed since I got my iPhone 3G when it was first released. This was the 2nd app I purchased. Recently, it's become useless to me. Ever since iPhone 3.0 the GPS Kit has been non-functioning on my iPhone 3G. With the previous version reduced the Dashboard and all it's measurements ceased to function, and now with the most current version the app won't even connect to the GPS satelites. But it's clear the developers are more interested in coasting than improving or even fixing this app. They finally released an update (first major one since iOS 7 if I'm not mistaken) and little has changed. They still can't manage to properly render google map tiles, though no one else seems to have this problem, even the crappiest ad-filled apps don't seem to have an issue with it. Don't waste your money on these guys since they clearly don't care. ✓ Ok App, shame about the iPhoneThe iPhone GPS just isn't up to any serious navigation task as the internal GPS reciever is fairly modest. For the not too seious tasks however, you can record some dicely looking tracks, just be sure of your accuracy requirements first. This App is does a reasonable job on it's own despite the shortcomings of iPhone GPS. I particularly liked the fact that you get the option for displaying UTM coordinates (particularly useful in the military). If you need a decent GPS then go by a Garmin, but if you like the idea of having bag of slightly shakey bag of navigation tricks in your pocket for those unforseen oppotunities then GPS Kit may be your answer..Version: 0

✓ DO NOT UPDATE, It will scramble your groups, wait for fix!I had heaps of tracks and waypoints, well over 60, all arranged carefully in groups. After the update it duplicated those groups multiple times and scattered the contents between them. Or just deleted them, I can't be sure because it's such a mess now. I tried restoring to a previous backup but that doesn't give you back the previous version, just older data. DO NOT UPDATE YOUR APP UNTIL A FIX IS ISSUED! ✓ GPS for skiing in FranceI wanted to get a GPS application to track my routes when skiing in Courchevel last week. I bought this app but could not get it to do anything useful. I entered waypoints but could not view them or track back to them (e.g. my kids ski school location). After I had no joy with this app I bought the Trails app which was much better at recording my route and then showing it on a map (through wifi in the bar) - it was also much cheaper.
