✓ No longer the bestThis used to be the best recorder app. It has good audio customisation options, including support for Bluetooth mics. However, it has been overtaken by other apps that offer similar features for less, especially by the many other recorder apps that have iCloud Drive and other cloud services supported. This app needs to be updated to support iCloud importing and exporting urgently. I requested this feature more than 6 months ago and have finally lost patience waiting for it. I am switching away from Audio Memos Pro until this much needed feature is included. I need to sync my files in iCloud Drive easily and this app has fallen far behind in this respect. ✓ Used to be good not any moreThis used to be an excellent app. It is now more or less useless. I’m guessing the original developers or developer may have left and now it is full of bugs. I have reported these bags and unfortunately nothing has been done. When trying to record it will automatically stop halfway through or not start at all on auto start-up. This is very annoying. Sometimes you think you are recording any later to find out you have to repeat yourself and the recording did not even start. My advice would be to look elsewhere..Tony@ukVersion: 4.9.4

✓ Don't receive calls/FacetimeBe prepared to lose long recordings-in-progress if you get a FaceTime call in the middle. I suspect this is true with other modal notifications as well (eg alarm clock). This has to do with the fact that the audio only gets compressed down to a file after recording stops. ✓ Could be a perfect App after suggested improvements take placeAfter comparing it to the rest it appeared to be best package for replacing my Olympus Digital Voice Recorder, I am impressed so far however does require few improvements, in few quick pointers here is my review on the Audio Memos v2.31 App (tested on a iPhone 3GS iOS 4.0.1) Good Points 1. Love the e-mailing and FTP feature 2. Time stamp is included 3. Continuation of recording is 4. Voice Activated Recording (VAR) is flexible because of the sensitivity level that can be set 5. Start recording timer is handy though if the handset goes to standby it has failed to work few times 6. Audio Quality control is great 7. Basic and Advance settings are available Bad Points (Areas to be improved) 1. The recording does stop if you want to multi task and open a e-mail or message to read out to it which is rather a big disappointment and hope that they resolve this very soon 2. In iOS 4.0.1 is failed to start number of times when going to another App and returning therefore Audio Memos required restart 3. There is a slight delay when starting the App and this I’m certain they can improve as it is essential to be able to load it quickly when required 4. If start and/or ending time can be included that would be great however it must be able to do this even if the iPhone is in standby 5. Rather expensive at £2.99 GBP, if price is lowered to £1 GBP max more people will purchase however if below items are rectified it is worth the £2.99 GBP 6. If it is possible to attach the location of where the recording took place and be able to view it on the Google map that would make your app very unique Overall I’m happy and confidant that they will resolve these minor issues and improve on the others however would like to see this soon as for the price these minor items can get frustrating. ✓ Fail -Spontaneously stops recordingI bought this because of the comprehensive feature set including threshold recording and ability to record during sleep mode but have not any success with it. It will stop recording after anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour and the resulting file won't even play. Maybe OK for short memos but no good for recording lectures or long meetings. Another reviewer said he had to turn on airplane mode to prevent calls from stopping the recording. I'm on an iPad and this fix didn't help me. Emailed the developer twice and they have been totally unresponsive so their support pretty much matches the stability of the app. Next.....Mashty1Version: 2.35

✓ Erases your recordings if you receive a call or message whilst in saving mode.While I find this app to be a brilliant tool for recording my notes. BE VERY VERY CAUTIOUS of saving your recording at every chance you can DURING the recording process. I have lost some very important recordings during the saving moment when a call or message comes through and have to answer or respond to those. And once lost, it’s all gone forever. I’ve written to Imesart a few times to help retrieve the data but their technical department are absolutely clueless. It’s a waste of time asking for their guide. ✓ Great app if you want NO RECORD of what you recorded.For the second time now I have used this app and had a complete freaking disaster. The recording went fine, everything seemed fine afterward when i stopped the recording, and the recordings all showed up in the list of your recordings like they normally should… And now, for the second time after a day or two, my recordings vanished. Without a trace. No way to recover them. I thought the first time was my fault – – I must've done something somehow to move them to some other place in the app? Nope. They're gone. The three hour interview -- which I auto separated into six different recordings because I was so nervous about losing them and which I will never get the chance to redo -- is now gone. ✓ AudiomemoI have been using this app extensively for extended interviews. The quality of the replay was very good, even on the minimal settings. Sometimes it picks up ambient noise over voices and I assume an external mike would be of great help but I have not yet purchased one. I found the most frustrating thing was getting the files off the ipad to send. Because they were lengthy interviews it was not just a simple case of pressing the send button. After going online to seek help, I found the settings could be changed to allow for auto compress. This meant that I could enjoy the easy send function on most of the memos I had created. It still meant using dropbox for the larger files. Even downloading onto drop box took an inordinate amount of time. All other aspects of the app are very user friendly even for a luddite like me! I wonder if this app can be teamed with a dragon type app which transcribes as well as records? That along with the great editing options already included would make this a terrifically useful study tool..RinmadVersion: 3.1.4

After the first 2 lectures were improperly deleted by the app when I ended the recording, I went with a different solution. I thought I had made a mistake with the first one...but paid close attention during the second. After pausing the recording, then clicking done...the recording simply vanished. Explanation shows that there is an option to choose bluetooth microphone but not in my menu??? Is there a chance to return this app!? ✓ Has IssuesThis would be a great app if it worked correctly but it has deleted many of my recordings right in the middle of a seminar. It will freeze up, stop recording, delete the entire recording, and close out of the program on it's own, leaving me stranded with no recording. I have also completed an interview before, got 45 minutes into an hour long interview and it stopped and deleted my recording with no one touching it. That was terrible and then I had to start all over. No one was very happy that day and I was embarrassed and frustrated! It is not very reliable. I have had to purchase other means of recording. The last update was when I started having so many problems with trying to record. Please fix these freezing and stopping mid recording then deleting my recording issues. ✓ Stuff not working with iOS 5This was a use full app until I upgraded my iPad to iOS 5 now stuff is not working. The most frustrating part it I have lost the functionality to wirelessly down load my files to my pc. I am concerned that no development has be done on this app since 2010.
