Cant download my own pictures anymoreI uploaded few pics from my iphone and trying to download them back and there no option to download from the app. I remember I was able to do in the past. Now, I am stuck I can’t download my own pics. The share button is grayed out that shows up at bottom left corner after I open the pic.Version: 5.15.1

Annoying and the uploads take so longThis app is horrible. To upload a photo takes so long and half the time it fails and you have to retry it. Also, you can only upload a few pics at a time or it gets overloaded and crashes. The worst. If I didn’t have to use it for work, I would delete it and never use it again..Version: 5.5.5

2FA does not work on iPadI have 2FA set up and can log in on the web fine. When I try to log in with the iPad app, I can’t use my 2FA app codes as it wants to text me instead. Fine. I get the code and enter it, then it tells me the code has expired. How long do these codes last, 5 seconds? It’s literally been years that I can’t use the iPad app. I thought I’d give it another try today but still can’t get in. Disappointing..Version: 5.12.0

Worst storage appThis has to be the worst storage app The free version only allows you to upload a file size max. 250mb at one time. This renders useless for sharing any decent size files with friends. I recommend Dropbox..Version: 2.8.3

Consistently crashes on ipad and iphoneI am compelled to use box for work and it works fine on a desktop. But the mobile app is just terrible. If you try to scroll through pictures it crashes all the time, forcing multiple restarts. It’s just a nightmare. Worst uploading processI was forced to move to Box because it’s used by my new university. Would never recommend it. It has the worst upload methods of any of the cloud services by a wide margin. I’m currently babysitting an upload process on my Windows machine, file by file, taking me hours and hours of unpaid labor. It was impossible to use this app, or the Box Drive program on Windows, because apparently my file folders are too big. It keeps hanging up and failing to upload for reasons it doesn’t explain. Deactivated my accounts without warningDeactivated several of my accounts with valuable data, support is unresponsive. A Cloud FailureI downloaded the Box app on my Mac in order to connect with the app on my iPhone. It simply did not work at all. It claimed the version was older than one previously installed, which means the Box website is not up to date. Now this is finally resolved, with zero help from Box, there is a folder on my account which will not delete. All ideas from the net have not worked (box has no customer service). In my view Box is pernicious junk of the worst kind, a con, and I think people are massively safer using Dropbox..Version: 5.0.2

Good if you have an accountIf you have an account you are all set to go. If you want to share a file with people who don’t have a Box account, they are forced to create an account before they can get the file. Dropbox does the same which is why I stopped using it. It’s Good but Needs UpdatingIt’s alright, but it is extremely glitchy. It takes so long to download just a couple of files and if you exit the app for too long it will cancel all those uploads and you have to restart. It also is confusing as to how many files get uploaded so you’re unable to keep track because the number is inaccurate. I like how much storage it has and it is pretty easy to use, just needs to fix those design issues..Version: 5.6.0

Battery HogWhen I first downloaded box I loved it. Then all the sudden it was making me have to sign in every time with the keypad I had it set for my fingerprint sign it. Then all the sudden I started noticing my phone‘s battery was being drained drastically. Basically uselessOn iPhone 13 pro ios15 I am unable to upload actually files from other services. From OneDrive, I can go through the whole share dialogue and choose a destination folder in Box but it won’t let me actually share it. Then if I try to upload within Box I can only choose photos, scan documents, voice notes et .. can’t just upload a file. Well then what is the point of it? Ok storage platformThe real let down for me is the lack of a direct link (I.e. non html short link) to the online file. This makes it impossible to utilise the file from several other platforms. Onedrive as an example provides the direct link as default..Version: 5.13.0

Great potential, but client needs a lot of workBox.net offers a lot of storage space for free and supports useful features such as WebDAV. Unfortunately the client app is weak when compared to other cloud storage providers. Simple functionality is missing such as renaming files or directories, moving files between directories or for that matter the ability to actually create a directory and to specify if it is private or public. In addition, the list of files recognized by box.net is limited so when you want to save an attachment on an email, you can't 'Open In...' to box.net 's client unless it is limited to a few common file types. Lost Bookmark Access, Constant Offline SyncingThe old app used to be stable and useful, but has recently lost two critical features. 1) the button for accessing bookmarks in PDF documents is just GONE. For large PDF documents in my business, this is a big loss. And 2) The offline docs require constant syncing, pretty much invalidating the usefulness of the feature. It’s also really hard to find the offline docs, which used to have their own main tab. the app has also been very unstable compared to previous versions. Apple reimagined the iPad. You should reimagine this app.After Tuesdays iPad announcement, I’ve been thinking more and more about why I stray towards a laptop instead of my iPad. Apps like Box are exactly why — simple things like I can’t select more than one file at once to AirDrop. When trying to transfer from Mac back into Box on iPad the transfer shows as In Progress but yet after an hour it still sits at 0% completed. Apps are supposed to change the way we work (and at that hopefully for the better, more productive and easier) and yet this app makes me ponder why my company went with Box instead of OneDrive or Dropbox because this is not ready for prime time and its been out for some time, sadly. More recently trying to mark items as favorites I’ll be in the folder and it produces an error that the item no longer exists - the item that’s in the folder that I’m currently in and trying to make as a favorite?! Lost all DirectoriesI have recently noticed all my directories have disappeared. When I logged in they were there and within a minute they just disappeared without any warning or notice. This is very weak on BOX’s behalf as I rely on the availability of having access to my data. This has always been my fear of using the cloud, is that you have no control of your data and then have to beg to get something done to correct the issue. This is time waisted and would rather carrier around a HD and have a physical backup at least I know I have control. Works great except for storage countI’ve been using the app and service for over five years. The service is great except for one huge flaw. I have to submit Help tickets about 3-4 times per week so the box team can run a script to display accurate storage counts. Otherwise I’m locked out of any further uploads. Even if I delete files the total storage number does not change. This seems like such a core function for a file storage company and it should work. Sorry. Last Update Was EnoughWe’ve used Box for years now. But I’ve noticed its not keeping up with tech changes other cloud drives are. Can’t play videos even after updating the app. It just says “preview image unavailable.” When I play songs or audiobooks, it doesn’t remember where you left off, in the event you need to switch apps temporarily. There are no playlist options I can use to add files to, to play them once the current file is done and automatically start the next one in a different Box folder. Also, when listening to an audio file, Box has the slider but doesn’t have the rewind or fast forward 10, 15, or 30 seconds buttons. Instead we need to manually slide back in case we need to listen to something again real quick. Well, what about if you’re in the car? It’s a pain. And worse yet, the app is always either crashing or taking too long to load the next file. Sorry Box but we need to part ways. I’ve found better now..Version: 4.3.10

Slowly getting worseWith every new 'bug fixing' release, new bugs appear. Swiping images does not work reliably, you have to swipe the length of the screen. Sometimes leaves images half overlapping the screen when you try to swipe to the next image. Changing between portrait and landscape can also leave the app in a state where the UI stops working. Refreshing folder contents takes forever. Favourites do not work, after a certain number of fave images new ones just stopped appearing in the list. I often end up manually killing the app several times per session to workaround bugs. And I could go on. Terrible app for storing images, maybe useful for something else I don't know..Version: 4.1.4

Nothing more infuriating than broken help linksWas going to send a nice polite ticket, but every possible link is either broken or tries to make me sign up for another service. PLEASE... Fix your audio playback!!I love this service and what it can do for artists and clients alike... however, whatever your compression algorithm is doing to the audio is making this service very hard to continue to use. I upload 24bit 48kHz quick times to clients to approve my mixes, and I always tell them to download the files to their computers, and the audio playback is poor. Your program is making audio sound like an MP3 from the 90s! Swimmy and muffled highs, comb-filtering at times with random frequencies. I have read many complaints about this service from many other users about the audio, and after testing this personally, they are correct... your audio compression needs to be fixed / updated..Version: 5.2.1

No longer works after most recent update.Ive loved this app for a long time but after the new update the app no longer works. It wont upload even a single photo. It says that its uploading them at an amazingly high speed compared to before the update, and it says "work complete," but none of the photos have actually been uploaded. APP IS FREEZING UP ON STARTUPUse the app a lot between multiple devices and noticed several times during the day the app freezes up on launch...clear the app and launch again then it freezes again. Launch a third time and it starts up. Also noticed that when I try to view my documents or images while scrolling it may show the 1st, 2nd and third images but then the 4th image will be a blank image but the next will reveal. Try to scroll back to image it’s still blank page. Close and relaunch app and it shows the blank image but several images later it will be blank again. Slow, bugs, seems to lock up on updates, offline files frustratingSeem to be unable to share files to it from other apps - the icon is there but it just crashes when it tries. Offline is unreliable, gets “stuck” on a file, or seems to, if you mark a folder for offline, keep trying to redownload entire folder simple because a single file was updated in it (this might not be the case, but it does repeatedly try to download my half-gig folder having already once succeeded). Uploading is slow, well beyond any network slowness. It’s just generally slow when you try to preview a file. And if things do get “stuck” you need to kill the app to get it to do any more of its background stuff. All this fiddling around versus its main, cross-platform, cross-OS competition which seems to just do its thing... generally disappointing. I want a cloud solution to keep personal seperate from (home) work, but this doesn’t seem to be it..Version: 5.1.3

You may as well file your documents in the trash binI can see what Box is trying to achieve. Yet it fails on every level. Single handed lily the worst document management system I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. Most of the time I will be able to retrieve and update my documents, and even save changes. On too many occasions I’ve lost my work. My loss of work has mainly been through a lack of communication between my local office suite and Box. I’ll open a document, spend all day working on it and save my changes. In the backgrounder, box has timed out. My changes are subsequently lost in the ether and I turn up to meetings appearing to have not completed the work. If you are seriously considering subscribing to box, buy SharePoint..Version: 5.0.3

Good app for workflowGreat app for initiating workflow but cuts short for us in the music world. In short, DISCO picks up where you guys leave off. Neither do what I need so I have to spend twice the money in both subscriptions to get results. Would be nice to have everything in one app. Easy access to metadata and a better format for inputting that into songs. (metadata inputting, aiff to mp3 conversion, additional data input without losing original download link, applying a graphic - I.e. jpg - to the metadata). Your dt application is fantastic and love the cloud sync so I’m current on all 3 of my computers in various locations..Version: 4.3.14

A step backwardsRecently, Box added a feature that allowed you to open a Box Word document in Word so you could edit the document in addition to viewing it. Before that change, you had to go to Word and go through a process of adding Box access to Word, and then, within the Word application open up a Box file. Very unsatisfying and it was greatly helpful when Box added the feature that allows you to open and edit a Word document while in Box. Regrettably, this feature has mysteriously disappeared from the IOS iPad application. The removal of this feature, coupled with the still horribly slow (after all these years of hoping they would improve the performance) speed of the Box synchronization on the Windows PC, have permanently soured me on Box. All hype and vastly inferior to One Drive, Dropbox and Google Drive..Version: 5.0.0

Why is there no button to select all my files? I want to transfer all my photos and videos, the app tells me I have to select all my 700 photos and videos one by one, why is there no "select all files" button? Why, if the app, when the files stop loading, do I have to click on each file in turn? And it all happens with a big lag, and I have an Iphone 12, and I just rebooted my phone. Poor Priorities for App Development, Not for Power/Corporate UsersBox works just fine if you wanted to share files with family members or schoolmates, but it doesn’t have the features in a power user or corporate environment. For example, there aren’t any mass-edit abilities, so I have hundreds of shared files at the top level that I have to remove one-by-one. Also, on iOS I can’t edit text files, just viewing. CMD+F doesn’t search either, as well as a host of other expected hot keys. It appears the developers are spending most the effort integrating into Apples productivity tools like Numbers/Pages/Keynote, but very little effort has been spent making the general experience better. Overall, it works well if you’re in high school or under, but not great otherwise..Version: 5.7.8

It’s very clunky on desktop, and even worse in the app. We have a work spreadsheet with a number of tabs, and I can only access the first few tabs on my phone because it won’t let me scroll across to see the rest. Permissions issues plague us, and having to open spreadsheets and documents in another piece of software in order to use them surely makes it redundant..Version: 5.7.8

Don't be fooledIf you were like me saying, wow 50Gb FOR FREE!!! I'd be mad not to get this please think twice before downloading. I do everything on my iPad because It's usually easier. I looked at this app and thought I could use this to collaborate with my university friends on projects etc. BUT! It is just about impossible to upload ANYTHING using the iPad app let alone documents. Apparently you can email things to box but if I have to do that I'd simply email it to my friend in stead it's not worth the download probably fine if you use the website on your computer and just want to access the files offline but for uploading documents to be accessed later in for iOS devices just get Evernote or Dropbox. Oh and did I mention you can't even "open in" from a website on box?!? This isn't with it in a mobile device..Version: 2.4.4

Lost featureLove the app. It’s been reliable and simple to use but recently the option to select a photo and click “upload to box” has disappeared. Now I’ve got to open the app and add from within. Not sure why we’re going backwards?.Version: 5.5.1

Image file don’t open/load after 5yearsI loved this app, had it for many years since Sony was Sony Ericsson. I got the app when I bought my Sony Ericsson Arc... since then I moved to IOS happy that I could still access all my images and videos. For the past 6months I haven’t been able to view images store from 5years ago and older on any device I use except pc or Mac. This app now is useless... limitations on file size upload then have to pay more money to lift that restriction. I might as well pay apple for more icloud space and never have to stress about image/video files not being able to load even after downloading them. I will not be waiting for a fix....Version: 4.2.5

Good for storageBox is good to store files and share them but once you start updating your files like word / excel files and saving them back - all kind of problems appear ( not syncing or not updated or blocked out or can't see the file anymore ) we are now forced to get a different platform coz we lose valuable time and data in between.Version: 4.3.13

App malfunctions, no supportI have used this service on IOS since 2014 and suddenly I cannot upload multiple images to my Box from the IOS app. There is no accessible customer support and this is such an off-put as a long time user of what used to be a reliable service and platform..Version: 5.9.0
